Jess sat next to Hugo's bed. He had just been taken by a nurse to have some dinner. Jess was in tears she had just explained to Hugo and Cierea what had happened in the gentlest way possible. Cierea sat on jess's knee and jess bounced her knee so she could feel happy.
"bouncy, bouncy boo, Cierea are you hungry" said jess. Cierea nodded. Jess looked over to the nurse who handed her a container of mashed up orange and green food.
"Cierea to eat you have to open your mouth honey" said jess. Cierea opened her mouth and took a mouthful.
"Good girl" said Jess feeding her more.
"Jess?" it was Abby and Connor.
"Hi" said jess.
"Could you do me a big favour please?" asked jess. Abby nodded.
"Well I wondering if you could move into the small bedroom so I can set up a nursery and stuff for Hugo and Cierea since..." Jess could not finish her sentence, she burst out in tears.
"Hey I will take Cierea to matt he is down the hall talking to Becker" said Connor picking Cierea up off jess's knee. Abby handed him the container of food as her walked out the room.
"Connor does Jess know you have Cierea?" asked matt.
"Yeah she is well you know...so Abby said you would feed Cierea while Abby help jess and stuff." said Connor.
"Yeah best give her here you look like you are going to drop her" said matt who walked back and sat on a seat. Connor but Cierea on matt's knee and handed him the food.
"Open up Cierea" said matt and Cierea opened her mouth.
"Good girl" said Matt. Becker watched on. He decided he would go and see jess.
" I would not do that if I were you, she is in tears don't blame her but you best not go down there without Abby tearing her head off she is still furious about what Georgia did and blames you as well" said Connor seeing Becker moved towards the corridor to paediatrics.
"I will take my chances" said Becker before heading down the corridor.
He saw Abby collecting toys and books off the floor for Hugo; Hugo sat on jess knee looking devastated. He walked in and Abby saw Becker.
"Shouldn't you be with Georgia or something" said Abby in a spiteful tone. Jess didn't even look up she just hummed to Hugo.
"Abby can we have a couple of minutes?" asked Becker.
"No, you cannot, jess does not need any more problems and tears then she has already." said Abby.
"Jess..."said Becker.
"Becker just go find Georgia or something I am busy with Hugo at the moment" said jess in a harsh tone she did not mean to be as harsh as it came out. Becker looked heartbroken but left the room without an argument. Jess started to cry again at what had just happened but Becker did not realise jess was crying again. Connor and matt walked in with Cierea in matt's arms.
"What time are they going home because I and Abby will move the bed before you will get back" said Connor.
"Um Cierea is discharged and Hugo will get discharged before six tonight. So about half six we will get out thanks for doing this guy's" said jess. Cierea was sat on the floor next to Hugo. Jess's eyes started to water matt went over and hugged her.
"Um are you too..." said Abby.
"No he has been like an uncle two theses two for the last three months and he is like a brother to me "said jess. Matt nodded. Abby could tell he was clearly not over Emily.
"Becker hey wanna do something useful?" asked Abby walking past him in the waiting room. Becker nodded.
"Here is some money go to the shops and get a boy's bed for Hugo with bedding and a pink bedding and bed for Cierea please" said Abby throwing a handful of money at him.
Becker came back with a blue single bed with dinosaur bedding and a pink toddler crib for Cierea with a lilac princess bedding. Becker turned up jess apartment and lunch time with a pizza for Connor and Abby.
"Hey" said Abby she was clearly not going to give Becker the time off day for a while and she did not blame her.
He knew that jess liked him but he just blanket her he thought it was best to leave her and she might get over the crush. But not in a million years did he expect Georgia to threaten her and sent horrible evil text messages.
"I will go and build these then" said Becker walking into the bedroom.
"Wait there is some wallpaper can you put that up first for us" said Connor.
Becker put up the wall paper on was pink and had fairies on it. That cover half the room the other half was green and had a dinosaur setting covering it, the wall paper had a hundred and one dinosaurs on it. As Becker built the bed Abby came in the room. Becker was on his back and listening to the quiet radio while screwing a bolt into the bed that was being set up for Hugo. Becker lay there screwing in bolts not taking any notice of Abby. Abby put two boxed on the floor.
Making Becker jump a little.
"These are toy boxes build them afterwards" said Abby. Becker kicked the door shut before Abby could leave.
"Abby what is your problem" asked Becker.
"What is my problem? Becker do you realise jess needs someone right now and that someone should have been you but thanks to what happened with Georgia she thinks you were behind it to and is well sort of scared and a part still loves you all the same, the only person she really trusted was Rebecca and now...she has a lot of trust in mate so don't be surprised if she opens more up to him the kids think of him as a uncle" said Abby. Becker's leg dropped and Abby left the room. Becker could not believe what Abby had just told him. He decided he would finish off in the room then do something about what was happening between him and jess.
