You guys rock on the reviews. You make me happy. I apprecaite all of your dots. XD

So this is chapter four. It kind of made my heart race. Which is, again, extremely pathetic, since I'm the one writing this and I know exactly what is gonna happen.

I really hope I'm not a dork.

But if I am...

WHO CARES? :D

Not me (:

Okay, I'm going to go see 30 Minutes Or Less later. AND I'M PUMPED. Firstly, because I love Jesse Eisenberg with half of my heart. Secondly, because I love Aziz Ansari with the other half of my heart. Thirdly, because Zombieland is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen, and the directors from Zombieland also did 30 Minutes Or Less.

Oh, and I saw a review for the movie that says I should wear a diaper because it's that funny.

YOU KNOW A MOVIE'S FUNNY WHEN YOU HAVE TO WEAR A DIAPER.

^ That is a life lesson. Write it down. Remember it. Live your life by it. K? K.

...yeah, okay. I don't own Danny Phantom. Or anything else you might recognize in this chapter. I don't really remember. LOL.

But this plot is mine. Zane, Nela, and Kyler are mine. And the chick in Sam's bedroom is mine. SO BACK OFF, BROSKI.

Chapter four (:

Chapter Four: The Visitor

August 12, 2011

A girl Sam had never seen before was standing in front of the closed door to her room.

Sam froze. The girl was beautiful. Her hair was long and blonde, billowing out around her shoulders. Her skin was as pale as Sam's. Her eyes were the purest green Sam had ever seen; her lips were a bright ruby red. Her body was slim and curved, covered in a red dress that matched her lipstick.

Sam was not scared. Sure, she was frozen, but it was not terror that surged through her veins. After all, she was a half-ghost's sidekick. She fought ghosts every other day. What could a small human girl do to her?

"Hello," Sam murmured, tossing the blankets away. "What's your name?"

The girl did not respond. She tilted her head to the side, staring at Sam. Her lips parted, revealing sharp fangs where teeth should be. Is there a freakin' VAMPIRE in my room?

Sam's breath caught in her throat. She felt the urge to scream, swelling and tearing in her chest. But it would not escape. "D-Dan...Dan...ny!" she gasped. The girl began sauntering toward Sam, her sharp teeth shining in the moonlight. Sam felt like she was hyperventalating as she scrambled backwards in the bed, tumbling over the side in her haste to get away from the girl. When she leapt to her feet, the girl was gone.

"What the hell?" Sam breathed. She ran to the other side of the room, searching for the girl. She knelt and peeked beneath the bed, checked the closet, searched behind the furniture. The girl was gone.

Sam ran to the door. She crept down the hallway quietly, desperately trying not to wake her relatives. The door of the boys' room creaked slightly, but it did not appear to bother either of them; they were both sound asleep when Sam slowly poked her head inside. She tiptoed quietly to Danny's side, glancing at Tucker as she went. She shook Danny's shoulder lightly. "Danny?"

"Sam..." Danny grabbed her blindly, pulling her onto the couch beside him. She squeaked when his arms wound around her waist, dragging her closer to him. He nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck and sighed. Sam laid there for a moment, her hands against his chest. How is it that they managed to find themselves in a compromising position twice in twenty-four hours?

"Danny, wake up." Sam said quietly, shoving against his chest. He grumbled incoherently and crushed her closer.

"But I'm not gonna burn..." He moaned. Despite the fact that adrenaline from the stranger in her room, her heart still fluttered excitedly in her chest.

"Danny, please, I need help..." Sam whispered.

His eyes shot open. They widened in shock when he processed how close Sam was, and that his arms were around her waist. "Oh God!" He attempted to roll away from her, succeeding in accidentally pushing her off the couch. She hit the floor with a thud, which somehow did nothing to Tucker except make him roll over to his other side. "Shit! Sam, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that...I'm so sorry..." He leapt off the couch and slid his arm around her shoulders, helping her sit up.

"It's okay," Sam mumbled. She was disappointed in Danny's reaction to finding her pressed agasint her chest. But that was not important, that was something she could ponder later, in the daytime. When there weren't creepy mute girls with fangs stalking her room. "Did...did your ghost sense go off at all?"

"No...why?" Danny asked. He was aware of the fact that his arm was still around Sam's shoulders; inwardly, he winced. He had just been surprised by her closeness; he had actually been having a dream about her. They were on the beach, just the two of them. Sam had been in a revealing black bikini, settled back on the towel spread out on the sand beneath her slim body. He was lounging on his side, lazily watching the way the sunlight made her skin glow. He had slid his arm around her waist, dragging her closer to his chest, when she whispered that she needed help. Next thing he knew, he was laying on the couch in Sam's relative's house, Sam laying on his chest. In his shock, he had shoved her away. Oh, she's gonna kill me...

But the frightened look in her eyes made him push his worries away. Something was wrong. Something happened. "What happened?"

"There was...someone...or something...I don't know...in my room," She whispered. "And I thought it might have been a ghost...but your sense didn't go off...so I don't know what it was,"

"What did it look like?"

"A girl. A human girl. She was really pretty. But she had sharp teeth, and she was looking at me like she wanted to take a bite out of me."

Danny swallowed. "Did she say anything?"

"No. She just stared at me, and then she started moving across the room flashing her teeth. I fell off the bed, and when I got up, she was gone." Sam shivered. "It was creepy."

"Something weird is going on here," Danny murmured, helping Sam to her feet. "You should tell your aunt and uncle."

"It's three in the morning, I doubt they'll be very -"

"WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP?" Tucker screeched suddenly. He sat up and chucked his pillow at them angrily. "SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!"

"Tucker, be quiet!" Sam hissed, throwing the pillow back at him. "If you wake my uncle up, I'm in deep trouble!"

There were loud footsteps from the floor above them. Someone was coming down the stairs. "Aw man..." Sam whimpered. Danny grabbed her around the waist and flashed to Phantom.

"I'll help you out..." He said, phazing through the wall. Sam saw the bathroom seperating their room for an instant, before Danny crashed into the wall between the bathroom and Sam's room. "What the heck?" He growled. He pressed his hand against the wall. "I can't phaze through!"

"What?" Sam was panicked. The footsteps were now on their floor; Zane's voice was slithering beneath the closed bathroom door, talking to Tucker. "Danny, if he catches us in here together...!"

But Danny was already fading into invisibility. Sam landed on the tile floor just as the door swung open, revealing a murderously angry Zane. "What are you doing in here?"

"I, uh...got thirsty!" Sam said, grabbing a cup off the counter and presenting it to her uncle. "I was really thirsty, and I didn't want to go downstairs...I was afraid of waking you up! So I just came in here to get some water..."

Zane stared at her, as if waiting for her to falter in her story. But she smiled convincingly, clutching the cup tightly. "And where is Daniel?"

"D-Danny?" Sam stuttered. "I...I have no idea! Is he not in his room?"

"No. He is missing."

"Maybe he's downstairs in the kitchen."

Zane was downstairs faster than Sam imagined possible. She heard his distant voice, followed by Danny's equally distant voice. Good, crisis averted, Sam thought.

Now, why the heck can't Danny phaze into my room? That's not good...what if I need him? What if that creepy girl comes back, attacks me, and Danny can't get to me to help?

Oh, stupid. He could always, I don't know, use the door.

Regardless, Sam found it next to impossible to sleep the rest of that night. She kept sending mental messages to Danny, smiling slightly when she imagined his responses.

I wonder why you can't get through the wall.

Me, too. Maybe my powers are just acting up?

That could be it, but that doesn't seem likely. Your powers haven't been this weird since you figured out you had ice powers...

Maybe I'm just getting a new power. I wouldn't worry, I'm sure I'm fine.

But what if that creepy girl comes back? What if she -

She's not going to hurt you. I would never let that happen. If you need anything, just scream, and I'll be there before you can even blink. I won't let anything happen to you, Sam. I'll protect you, even if it's the last thing I do. Please try and get some sleep, okay? I'm right down the hall if you need me.

A feeling of warm protection spread through her. She smiled groggily, before sliding into a deep, paralyzing sleep.
