Rein's POV

I was planning on going to town to go shopping, but I passed by the kitchen, and saw a mountain of shaved ice. Then I saw Milky on top of a ladder, with a bottle of syrup. "Milky, what are you doing here?" That is a lot of shaved ice! It may be hot, but this is just too much!

"Hi Rein! I needed help testing out some new recipes and came over wondering if Fine would help me. That and we can do more sweet eating contests this way!"

"I see..."

"Hm? Don't worry, Oni-san isn't here, but he's coming later to pick me up. Really, he won't let me use a balloon by myself anymore, just because Narlo and I are going out now and he's afraid that I'll lie to him just to be able to go to the Waterdrop Kingdom. He's too overprotective sometimes. "

"Oh, I see. " That means I shouldn't be back for a couple of hours from shopping. I really just don't want to see any part of him for now.

She walked down from her ladder and came towards me as she said, "By the way, with everything that happened lately, I haven't been able to properly thank you for helping me. So here." Now in my hands was a bag filled with different shaped chocolates. "Bon bon chocolates, with different fillings in each one."

"Thank you Milky. I'll eat them later. Well, I'll be going now, see you."

"Later. Fine, there's enough ice! If you keep doing that, we won't have enough syrup and then there's going to be too much ice!"

"Okay, help me out now!" a muffled voice yelled out. Where could she be? I looked towards the ice mountain. She couldn't be... There's no way that she would be able to do that without noticing. She can't be that idiotic, then again she could have done it on purpose and thought that she could eat a lot more if she shaved a lot of ice. That wouldn't weird, but still...

"You got stuck? Where?"

"Start eating and you'll find out!" She's really in there! How can a person do that? Then again she has been spacing out a lot.

"Well, when you come back hope that Fine will alive and out of the ice mountain. I'd better eat fast."

"Later, Milky." It's starting to get too cold in there, even through it's summer. I need to go defrost in the sun. When I got outside, I stretched and it felt really good. Ah, sunlight!

Let's see, I want to get some new pajamas, and a swimsuit for next week's beach visit that we're planning on doing with Lione and Tio. I don't really have any sandals either, so that would be good too. Then that should be it for today. Ooh! Those sandals are so cute! And so are those! I have to try them on!

This is normally how I end up with a lot of shopping bags. I like everything too much and so I can't really decide which one to buy and so I just get them all. Well, my shopping's done for today. Then I noticed a candy shop, and in the display case was Sunny Drops. Maybe I should get some for Fine, she just might cheer up that way.

I got home soon and decided to put my bags in the room before I went to go search for Fine. Now where could she be? Outside enjoying the sweets that she and Milky had made? But I was gone for a while and they eat really fast, so where could she be? I turned around and felt my eyes widen at the sight.

Why...? Something like this can't be happening. Fine was talking to Shade and looks like she actually enjoys the conversation? She's blushing too, even through it's really cold. How could I not notice? She acts nicely to Shade more than how she acts with Bright-sama. Is she in love?

Before I could stop myself, I angrily said, "So this is why you've been so out of it lately Fine."

She quickly turned to me. "Rein, when did you get here?"

"I've been here a while." Then I couldn't help but yell. "Why are you acting like this Fine? Even through we promised each other, even through you know what I went through after what he did to me, how can you look so happy talking to him? Do you really like him that much, to the point where you betrayed me?"

"Rein." Then she started to yell. "You think that you were betrayed? Didn't you betray me first, when you looked in love with Bright as he helped you lift that piece of wood? How can you be in love with him after what he said to me? Remember the reason why we even made that promise in the first place?"

I calmed down a little to the point where I wasn't yelling. "I remember. I just can't believe that you would be that weak, to believe in it." I don't know what I'm saying anymore, I'm not thinking anymore, the anger's just taking over me. It knew just where it hurt most for her. It's speaking instead of my voice.

"Look at you. It took you over 2 years to finally get over it, and 2 weeks to start even healing." And because we're close, she knew how to hit my weak spots perfectly.

Then at the same time we both yelled out at each other, "I hate you!" I ran back to my room, into my bed, crying tears of fury. How could she break that promise? I then took off the brooch that we swore the promise on and threw it.

~~~~~~~~It's nice when people are trusted, it means that they can have faith in someone so you must be careful not to let that trust be destroyed or one day that person who had once trust may become corrupted~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As an apology, this is what I've started to write with another story:

I woke up before my alarm went off and turned it off. First day of a new year. Changing classes, being compared, I don't want to think about stuff like this. I sighed, then forced a smile onto my face. I have to smile, or people will think that something's wrong and there's no reason to worry, Mom, Dad, or Fine. I finished changing into my uniform and I stared at the picture on my desk. Two little girls smiling in a field of flowers. I slammed it down. I should just wake up. Nothing's going to be the same as it used to be.

"Rein! It's time for breakfast."

"Coming!"

When I walked in Fine was already there and dressed. "Rein, you should hurry up and eat. We need to get there early so we can figure out what class we're in," she said as cheerfully as ever. "I hope that this year we're finally in the same class."

"Yeah...," I said sitting down. And I hope we're not.

"Shouldn't you two get going? It's almost 7: 40," Mother said. "Here are your lunches. I made sure to put all your favorites," she said handing them to us. "Your father and I are going on another bussiness trip tonight, and we're going to be back sometime next month, but I'm sure that you two can handle yourselves."

"Yes Mom," we both said. "We'll be leaving now."

"Have a safe trip," she said waving. We both left and Fine was happily skipping. Why is it that I can't compare to her? She is always getting good grades, is good at sports, and everyone can't help but like her. Of course I used to be like that too and I used to be proud to be her sister, but now... I shouldn't think about these things this early in the morning.

When we got to the school gates, Shade greeted us. "Morning, Fine, Rein."

"Good morning," we both said.

"I already found out which classes we're in. Fine, you and me are in 2-1. Rein you're in 2-4," Shade informed us.

"Really? Again, we're not in the same class Rein. Ne, when it's time for lunch let's all eat together," she suggested to me. "It's the same place as last year, on the rooftop, and we'll all share our food!"

"Don't you already have a huge lunch anyways?" Shade asked hitting her lightly on the head.

"But-"

"I might come, but I might eat with some of my friends. Sorry," I said. "Well, I'd better be going. Later you two." I don't want to see things like this. Since last year those two have been going out and I know they're really happy together but...I sighed. I should just get to class and become unnoticed like always.

Again! I'm really truly sorry!
