Fine's POV
I slowly opened my eyes to see a card tapped onto the wall. I looked around this is... the Headmistress' office. Why am I here? I stood up and walked to read the card. Let see... Fine, Rein, I'm sorry that I suddenly took you two out of class. We're suppose to have a talk because of all the demerits that you earned today, but I got called to a meeting. We'll have a talk when I'm back and I lock the doors and windows so you can't get out. There's candy on the table in case you get hungry. Please try not to kill each other. I know what happened.
I looked behind me to see Rein sleeping in the other chair. Great, now I'm stuck in a room with no way to get out. What's worse is that I'm stuck in a room where my sister that I'm arguing with is also in. Why does the Headmistress do these things?
Then Rein suddenly woke up and asked, "Where are we?" I handed her the card and as she read it, I ate some of the candy that was in the crystal jar. "I swear the Headmistress gets involved in our lives too much." Then she looked at me and said,"Can I have some candy?"
I threw a piece at her knowing that she wouldn't be able to catch it fell to the ground, she glared at me and then took one from the jar herself and ate it. After minutes of awkward silence besides the noise of the candy moving in our mouths, I started to think about what got us locked in the same room anyways?
Hmm...the Headmistress knows almost everything about the students and staff, so she might have figured out that we fought. "It looks like we were put in here to make up."
Then we both started to laugh humorlessly, glaring at each other when we were done. "We've made all our friends worried to the point where they couldn't do anything so the Headmistress had to get involved. We're really troublesome, aren't we Fine?"
"We are. This is the first time that we've ever fought like this. I wonder when we started keeping secrets from each other." As sisters, we've been closer than anyone we know things about each other that normal people wouldn't know, but even though we're sisters, there are still some things that we don't tell each other.
"Since, they showed up. Fine, I've got to ask you something. How long have you been keeping this to yourself?"
"You actually noticed my feelings? And here I thought that I hid them so well," I said as I put another piece of candy in my mouth. I honestly can't believe that I'm having a conversation with my sister, who I refused to talk to, without yelling. Why is it that I'm feeling so calm? I don't even feel that angry anymore either.
"Of course I noticed, I'm your sister after all." Then she said in a slightly muttered voice, "I really should have listened to the Headmistress when she said that."
"Said what?"
"That... it's not good to keep things to myself. If one of us had just told each other the truth, then we wouldn't have been like this." She directly looked at me. "I am in love with Bright-sama, I don't know how long, and I don't know how that happened, but I really like him a lot."
I took and deep breath and said, "And I've been in love with Shade for a while, but I couldn't let go of my feelings. I think it's because I like him too much." That's it. Now there's no more secrets about our love for our sister's ex boyfriend. I can't really stop her from liking someone, that's impossible. It's time to look at the bright side. Then I gave her a faint smile. "Well, this way, we'll still keep our promise to each other. Bright will get annoyed by your clothes obsession one day."
She smiled in return. "And one day Shade will get tired of you always beating him in sports. Even through I don't like the fact that my ex boyfriend dumped me for no reason at all, I guess this is okay too. So now, we're not completely mad at each other anymore?"
"Absolutely. Now, we're going to hurt Shade and Bright, because we're definitely going to find out the reason why they broke up with us in the first place." Even if I accept the fact that Rein likes Bright, I won't let him off easily if I don't even know why.
"Good job you two. I'm so proud of you." Oh my gosh! Where did she come from? No wait, I don't want to know. "Anyways, you two get a prize. So pick a hand," she said as she held both of her hands out to us. Rein and I at the same time picked the same hand. She opened it to reveal the brooches. I thought I threw that away. "I hope that you two will be able to tell each other things that you can't handle on your own, because you two are nothing without each other," she said as she dropped the decor into our hands. "Today's talk is over. Two boys are looking for you frantically outside. You should go to them and ask the question that you've wanted an answer to all this time."
We both bowed and said,"Thank you very much Moon!" Then we ran out. I have to find out, so that I'm able to accept him again and not get angry at the fact that Rein likes him. When we saw them, I was somehow too tired to yell. My heart was thumping really loudly for some reason, is it because I'm afraid to know the answer to that question? They're leaving, and I still can't yell out! What should I do? Then a book fell from the sky had hit them. What exactly- I looked at the window above and saw Moon. She looked at us, smiled and put her finger up to her mouth, then disappeared.
I gripped my skirt. I have to say this! "Bright/ Shade, I need to talk to you!" When I finally calmed down it was when they agreed and so did Rein. There was a tree nearby so we both decided to get one the other side and hope that we don't hear each others conversation.
"Bright, why did you break up with me, by saying that? When we first started going out, you said that I was completely perfect the way that I was, so why? "
He just looked at me not saying anything. Will he not answer me? He bowed and said,"I'm really sorry that I said something like that to you. It's just somehow I knew that we would break up eventually because I was going to school that was on another planet. I just thought that would be the best way to handle things."
"We could have communicated through letters and see each other during your breaks." He looked as through he just realized this. Maybe we might've been able to gone out long, however I'm kind of glad that he broke up with me now. "But I think that I've liked someone else more than you for a long time, so everything's fine now." Now it was my turn to bow to him. "If you ever really like Rein, then make sure that you take care of her."
"I will."
"And if you hurt her, you're still not getting off easily no matter how much she likes you."
"Thank you very much."
Shade's POV
"What is it that you wanted to to me about?" Weird things are happening today, first, the Headmistress took Fine and Rein so I had to dance with Bright for class for some weird reason, a book suddenly hits me and Bright while we were searching for Fine and Rein and now Rein wants to talk to me about something. She rarely talks to me at all, let alone by herself. Then again Fine is on the other side of this tress, so technically, we're not alone.
"I've wanted to know this for a while, but I was a bit afraid to ask." Could it be the reason why I broke up with her? "But, I really need to know, so I don't worry that much about Fine's relationship with you. Why did you break up with me?" Huh, I was right. "You were blunt and didn't give me a reason why. Did you even think that it would hurt me at all?"
I was really an idiot. "I broke up with you because I didn't think that we were actually that in love with each other and I didn't want it to be longer than it needed to be, because I think that if I didn't break up with you then I would have broken up with you later and that would have been even harder on both of us."
"I see. Now I get it." Oh, I hope that she still doesn't hate me at this point so that I can someday confess to Fine with at a 50% chance that she'll actually say yes. "Now that I think about it, I guess you're right. I never can really even image an end until the end."
"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you before. I guess I thought that you might've not believed me if I gave you that reason."
"Actually, if it's like that, then it's okay, because you're considerate for the other person. No wonder she likes you so much." Who's she talking about? "So please take care of Fine if you like her or else, I have a few ways to punish you. "
"Thank you, Rein."
Normal POV
"Well, this storm has passed for now and the flowers look like they're going to be alright," Moon said to Tanba Rin-sensei as she picked up her cup of tea.
"You worked hard with them, Headmistress," Tanba Rin sensei said, sitting on a tiny chair also enjoying a cup of tea. "But I still wonder, why is it that you help Fine and Rein more than other students?"
"If they were to keep fighting, that will cause problems in the future, for instance who will succeed the throne. They were close at the point where they wanted what the other one couldn't have. I, myself knew that there was going to be problems and helped. To help students just seems interesting to me."
" I'm really happy that I'm able to work with you Headmistress. Now, what's left is to plan the end of the year party, right?"
"That will be the easy part. I have a feeling that something else will happen."
"Headmistress, by that you mean...?"
She stood up. "Please don't concern yourself just yet. Now, if you'll excuse me I must go have a talk with someone."
"Your niece?"
"She really is a sweet child even if she doesn't listen to what her parents say. I'm sure that you'll enjoy having her in your class soon."
