Rein's POV

"Rein, where are you going?"

"Out for a little bit. Since the theme's already decided for the dance, I thought that I should go look for a dress," I told her before I went out the door with my bag.

"But didn't we already decide to wear the dresses that the Headmistress made?" she asked picking up a book.

"Yeah, but I want to go see them anyways and I still need to look for accessories. If I find anything good I'll get some for you too." She nodded. "Well, later," I said walking though the door. I sighed as I walked to town. Well... that's part of the reason why I'm going, so at least technically I'm not lying.

I honestly don't know why I'm so depressed right now. After I saw how Bright-sama was still smiling at me while we were dancing... does that mean that he didn't care about what happened on Valentine's Day at all? I sighed again. Looks like my feelings weren't realized. Ah... I shook my head. This isn't the time to be depressed! Shopping! I'll get rid of these thoughts by shopping!

But no matter how much I brought... I still feel empty. Soon I was carrying too many bags with me. What did I buy anyways? I opened my purse and looked at my wallet. Looks like I spent most of the money in my wallet. Good thing I didn't take all my savings with me or else I wouldn't have enough money to buy the new things coming out next month. Might as well get something to eat, then go back. I sat down at an empty table and put all my bags in the chair next to me. Seriously, what did I buy?

"Sorry for the wait, here's your order."

I looked from the plate of waffles to James. "I didn't order anything yet."

"I know, but these are your favorite and you absolutely love waffles with blueberry honey. And I wanted to cheer you up a little, since you looked so down," he explained.

"How can you tell?" When no one else would, why can James know when I'm happy or sad?

"The shopping bags. Whenever you're upset about something, you normally go shopping." He sat down in one of the empty seats. "So what's wrong? You can talk to me about anything, you know that." His smile reassured me that I could trust him and he would listen. So I explained to him what had happened. "I see."

"Yep," I said, sighing. "James, if you were the one that I liked... then what would you do?"

"Be with you all the time, make you smile, stuff like that." Then his expression darken a little. "But... you had already said no to my confession before so it's impossible for you to like me, probably. I think that guy just wanted to see your smile, so he smiled at you like nothing was wrong."

"You really think so?" He nodded. Well... that would be like Bright-sama to do something like that. "Thanks James."

"No problem. That guy, he's going to miss one of the best things of his life if he doesn't like you back," James said smiling as I put the money for the waffle on the table.

"Maybe that's true both ways," I said smiling at him. "Later." I started to walk back. As I walked, I still wondered, WHAT DID I BUY? I swear there's at least 30 pounds I'm carrying! I have got to stop shopping when I'm depressed. I wish that it was December again, that was when everything was going so well for me and Fine. Then I noticed a purple haired boy in front of a really cute store. "Shade?"

He turned around. "Rein!" He quickly recovered from the shock of seeing me, which there really shouldn't be a reason at all, and said,"What's up with all the shopping bags?"

I looked at him suspiciously. "What are you doing?" Wait, what am I doing? I should be ignoring him since he broke his promise with Fine. "Never mind," I said quickly turning around in the other direction.

"Wait Rein, I need your help."

"And I need to find out why I go shopping when I'm depressed, but we all can't get what we want," I said to him coldly.

"I want to apologize to Fine. Milky and I got a letter about our dad and it was too shocking and I forgot!" I faced him again. "Please... I want to make up with her."

He looked so sincere. I thought about it for a minute. Well, Fine will get upset with me, but he looked like he meant what he said... "You know, the day that all four of us met is actually the same day as the party." He looked confused. I dumped all of my bags into his hands. "Well, I'll explain as we chose a gift," I said walking into the store. Wow, everything's cute. How is it that I've never been in this store before?

"What did you buy? It feels like there's rocks in here."

"I don't know. Oh this is cute," I said ignoring the fact that Shade was probably dragging my shopping bags into the store.

Fine's POV

Rein's been out too long. Even if she's depressed, she can't go shopping for the entire day. But maybe I'll find her at Sweet Clouds, they do have Sunny Drops there sometimes and she really likes those almost as much as I do. "Fine!" The voice of someone annoying... Still, I turned around to see Bright running towards me.

"What?"

"Fine, I'm really glad that I found you, I-"

"You have 5 seconds to explain why you're near me or else I flip you," I said quickly. I still need to get my daily amount of sweets for today and he didn't notice that Rein wasn't herself that day. I already warned him before not to hurt Rein, though... would this technically count or not? I have no idea, but I'm counting it anyways!

"Look, I'm really, really sorry! I couldn't tell that Rein was scared about Emily, but I did know that there was something wrong with her somehow, I just couldn't tell what it was, I know the true now, so please help me out!" Bright said really quickly. Wow, that was 5 seconds. Not bad.

"Well, since you understand that something was wrong I guess it's alright. Now what do you want? I heard that the Sweet Clouds got some new candies in and I want to get some," I said. It's suppose to be their best sweets yet! "Then I need to go find Rein."

"Help me make up with Rein." I couldn't process that sentence in my head at first, but then I finally got it. What? If I help him, Rein will kill me! With make up! And with whatever else she has in that closet of hers! "Please. I have no idea of how to have her listen to me," he said, bowing. "I'll do anything you want me to do, so please!"

I sighed. If he's that sincere, how can I deny? "Bright, don't you remember? Before on a year after the day we met, you gave me a pair of earrings."

"Please explain to me how this is relevant."

"That day is the same day as the party," I said walking briskly. Then I turned around and said," Are you coming or not? You have to find a present and think of a good apology by the end of the week." He rushed to keep up with my pace. We were only walking for a few minutes then something glared in my eyes, on the display case of one of the stores.

"Fine? Why did you stop?"

"That," I said pointing to the necklace. It was perfect for Rein. A silver chain that had a few blue, pearl like beads, and a pendent that was a pretty milky blue in the shape of a heart. I think there's a rose engraved on it too, but I can't really tell.

"Wait here for a minute Fine. I'll be back soon." Before I could say anything, he already went in the store. Really, such a troublesome person- no I should say troublesome brother-in-law, since he and Rein are most likely going to end up together. Ah, I'm tired. Oh, there's a churro stand, it's been a while since I had one of those. I looked through the store window, looks like Bright might be a while.

I walked over. "One churro with chocolate please."

"Yes, one churro with chocolate coming right up. That will be 350 yen, please." I handed her a 500 yen coin and she handed me the churro. "Thank you very much, please come again," she said as I walked away to a nearby bench. Chocolate and cinnamon, an amazing combination. I soon finished up my churro.

Now then, since I've calmed down a little, what should I do about Shade? Next time I see him, I should probably apologize, since I was acting so strange, but he was still really nice to me and... he called me beautiful... That's the first time that someone said that to me who wasn't just trying to make me become more girlier.

"Fine."

I looked up. "Cross, Sky. What's up?" They somehow seem really serious. Could it be that I did something wrong?

"Fine, honestly we're tired of waiting, so we're both going to come out with it," Sky said.

"I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you're saying."

"Basically, I like you and so does he," Cross said, pointing to Sky. Oh, WHAT? "We were going to wait until you developed feelings for one of us or when you actually realized that you like one of us, but..."

"There have been a few problems lately, and we... We're sorry if it's sudden but we just needed to find out," Sky said. "Will you please tell us what you think though?"

"I..." Someone liking me... wanting me to like them back, how strange, I thought that something like this would happen to Rein. Wait, that's not the point right now. If I were to like someone... Images started to flow into my mind. Ah? Only Shade was there. Then...

"Fine?"

"Ah, I'm sorry. I already have someone that I like a lot and it's not either of you two. I'm really sorry, but I think of you two as brothers." I looked up at both of them. "That's why, I'm really sorry. You two are always really sweet to me and cheered me up whenever, that's why, I want you two to each find someone that you can have a mutual love with."

"It's Shade isn't it?"

"That's what I think. I'm sorry, but I can't really help who I fall in love with. It's not like I can really control that feeling, it just...happens." That should be an acceptable answer. No one knows who will fall for who. They fall in love because of a feeling. No one can control that.

"Fine, when everything gets better," Sky started to say.

"Come to the shop," Cross said.

"Then, tell us what happen and then no matter what we'll hope that you two are happy together," They said at they same time.

"I will."
