Curses pass in flashes of colored light as Snape attacks James out of nowhere. This isn't a rare occurrence but there seems to be extra venom behind Snape's spell work today. I think James has pushed him too far and this is his revenge. Sirius pulls me down as a stray curse flies my way and immediately pulls away from me, remembering where we are.
I wish it didn't have to be this way.
