Hey, everyone. So, I got some positive reviews as well as some negative ones on the last chapter. And both are completely okay; this chapter`s going to give you the answers that i COULD have put in the last chapter- but I just wanted to put up a new chapter for you all as soon as possible so I just had a cliffhanger. I apologise to those of you who were displeased, but hopefully this answers the questions and assumptions and such.
Blaine blinked, shaking his head, forcing himself to come back to life and respond.
``I- You- What?``
Kurt looked at him, wiping his tears, sniffling.
``You completely blacked out, Blaine... You were screaming at the top of your lungs, looking like someone was about to murder you, and before you snapped out of it you screamed `Uncle Brandon, no, please!` and then you hit your head and woke up...``
Blaine blinked, staring at Kurt, then looking up at his family. Blaine sighed, putting both of his hands on his face, letting out a shaky breath. He looked up at Kurt, smiling weakly as tears began to fall again.
``Kurt, I never... I never got raped...``
Kurt`s tension visibly dissapated, and he seemed more at ease, but the look on Blaine`s face made him recoil again.
``I... I was put into the psych ward... When I was little... Because I would sleepwalk at night, screaming, throwing things... I was having nightmares I was being attacked by some man in a mask that called himself `Uncle Brandon`... It got so bad that my parents were scared I was going to hurt myself, or someone, i`d even run out into traffic in my sleep... I was put into the ward for at least a month.. And one night I broke down for five days... They locked me in the rubber room, Kurt. The whole time this man, this- this thing I was being attacked by beat me, raped me... It was all in my head, but my body moved, acted on it. I gained no physical damage at all, but I was slammed into walls as though he pushed me. I was deemed moderately insane, but when the nightmares stopped after intense therapy and a lot of medication, they sent me home; last night was the first time eight years i`ve had an episode like that...`` Blaine took in a shaky breath, shaking his head.
``I... I didn`t want to tell you because I didn`t want you to think i`m crazy or something... Or leave me out of fear...``
Kurt put a hand on his knee.
``You honestly think I`d leave you after all you`ve done for me, Blaine? God no.``
Blaine hiccupped, smiling up at him, then his eyes flickered down.
``I... I just... I remember that night I attempted... I could hear his voice telling me it`d never get better... Dad didn`t love me, mom didn`t, nobody did or would...``
Kurt just stared at his boyfriend, unsure of what to say. He loved this man, he wanted to never let him go; he only wished he could prove that to him. He looked up as he saw his dad stepping over, and saw him put a hand on Blaine`s back.
``I know how you feel, kid. I actually used to have nightmares for two years straight about this one person trying to attack me, every night. The same dream. I got scared to sleep. Soon enough the voices from it became part of my thoughts and I had to go on meds too- sometimes your doubts and insecurities can become part of your subconcious, and it just takes a long time to get through it. I did. So can you. You`re a strong kid.``
Blaine smiled up at Burt, feeling his heart swell that he wasn`t alone; he`d been told by doctors many a time that it was normal amongst teens to have recurring nightmares of being attacked by the same person, or have voices in their head, especially when a teen suffered from anxiety attacks or severe depression. But, hearing it from an adult whom he really cared about meant the world to him. He threw his arms around Burt and Burt just smiled, hugging him back.
Finn shifted in the doorway.
``Does this mean I can go back to sleep now?``
Five Days Later...
Kurt laid on the bed, staring at the wall. Blaine had been happier than ever since the night he broke down; not that that was necessarily a bad thing, in fact, it was very good. A bit of a change, but it was most definitely not unwelcome. Kurt sighed, flipping over onto his back, staring at the roof. He blinked slowly, a small smile crawling on to his mouth. He felt butterflies in his stomach begin to grow as he remembered this morning; the sun bleeding out onto his eyes, causing him to whimper softly to life, writhing around on the bed. He felt a strange warmth behind him and around him, and he turned to see Blaine`s face buried in the back of his neck, arms wound around his stomach, pressing Kurt`s back against his stomach. Kurt blushed, snuggling into the warmth, just loving the feeling of his boyfriend`s arms around him.
Kurt giggled making small circles on his stomach with his finger; as a matter of fact, he and Blaine both had been a lot happier. Kurt felt like he knew Blaine better since he knew his secret of `Uncle Brandon`, which explained a lot of the negative thoughts Blaine had. Blaine even went to a doctor and was prescribed pills to help with the situation. Kurt`s eyes flew open completely as he sat up, turning to the mirror, grinning.
Blaine had come to a habit of writing a word in washable marker on Kurt`s mirror before Kurt woke up every morning for the past five days. So far the words he`d gotten were perfect, skinny, gorgeous, adorable, sassy.
Today, the word that adorned his mirror in thick black marker was Sunshine.
Kurt blushed, a small smile adorning his face as he swung the covers off and got off the bed. He wandered over to his closet and pulled on some skinny jeans and a white tank top, pulling on his white boots as well. He looked in the mirror, smiling as he saw the word sunshine blaring out boldly towards him.
``Mmm,`` He hummed to himself, playing with his hair, ``My sunshine.``
Hey handsome.``
Blaine turned around, grinning as Kurt came down the stairs. He walked over to him, giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek and Kurt smiled, taking his hand in his, twining their fingers together.
``Nice to see you wake up.``
``I wasn`t asleep that long!``
``It`s noon, Kurt.``
Kurt just glared at him and Blaine smiled back, the lightness in his chest too bright to bear. He walked Kurt into the Kitchen, handing him a non-fat mocha and a toasted bagel with butter on it. Kurt happily began eating it and Blaine just smiled from across the table, watching him.
``Where`f Eferybody?``
Blaine laughed.
``Didn`t take you as the type to talk with your mouth full. Burt and Carole went out grocery shopping and I think Finn is out with Puck and Sam.``
Kurt nodded, taking another bite of the bagel, staring at Blaine still. Blaine smiled, knowing what he was wondering.
``What do you want to do today?``
Kurt shrugged, nibbling still at the bagel. His eyelashes flickered down, and he swallowed, taking a drink from his coffee before pushing the bagel away, standing and moving to sit next to Blaine. He looked into his eyes, taking his hand in his, stroking his thumb over the knuckles.
``Blaine... We have to talk about what happened that night...``
Blaine let out a slow breath and nodded, agreeing. They talked about everything they did; this was no exception. Kurt let out a small breath, then smiled softly.
``Do you want to go sit next to the lake at the park and talk? It`s a nice day out, we shouldn`t waste it. Besides we haven`t gone out together in a long time baby.``
Blaine smiled up at Kurt, kissing him on the nose, butterflies dancing in his stomach when Kurt used the nickname on him.
``I think that`s a great idea.``
``Blaine Anderson, I swear to God if you splash me again!``
Blaine laughed, flicking the water over at Kurt who screeched, covering his hair. He moved his arms, looking down at his wet hair and clothes.
``Blaine!``
Blaine ran out of the water, sitting next to Kurt and kissed him, and Kurt pushed him away.
``No, rude. Just rude.``
Blaine smiled, rubbing his hand on his boyfriends` back, who couldn`t help but smile.
``So... Friday...``
Kurt looked down.
``Yeah... Friday.``
Blaine let his hand drop, staring out over the lake, then turning to Kurt, his eyes sincere.
``Kurt, you have to believe me when I say how sorry I am... The last thing I ever want to do is scare you, or make you feel uncomfortable...``
Kurt smiled, nodding, staring at his hands in his lap.
``I know, Blaine, I know. I think I was just a little sensitive that night because I`d had flashbacks of the incidents not long before that happened.``
Blaine nodded, letting out a soft breath.
``That`s still no excuse for me. I should know better than that; you`re not ready...``
Kurt nodded slowly, playing with his hands still.
``I`m not ready yet, Blaine. But...`` Kurt turned to him, smiling gently, a soft pink blush on his cheeks, ``When I am, I want you.``
Blaine smiled, opening his arms to Kurt, who happily scooted over into them, laying back on the blanket with him, staring up at the clouds. Kurt laid his head on Blaine`s chest, closing his eyes, a dreamy smile on his face as Blaine played with his damp hair.
``Kurt?``
``Yes?``
``You smell like lavender.``
``You`re strange, Blaine.``
Blaine`s eyes fluttered open as he felt his pocket buzzing continuously; even Kurt began to stir. Blaine sighed, pulling out his phone and sliding the button over, answering the call.
``M`hello...`` Blaine ran a hand through his hair, rubbing his eyes gently as Kurt sat up, stretching and yawning, causing Blaine to smile; he was too cute.
``Hey Blaine.``
Blaine blinked.
``Oh, hey Sebastian.``
Kurt looked over at him, blinking. He`d never heard this name before. Blaine looked up at the clouds, listening to Sebastian talk.
``Oh... Um... Hmm. Sure. Tomorrow? Okay. Yeah, okay. Bye.``
Blaine hung up the phone and sat up, smiling at Kurt, then blinked in confusion.
``What?``
Kurt blinked slowly, staring at his boyfriend.
``Who`s that?``
Blaine`s eyes narrowed in thought as he looked to his phone. He blinked, looking back up at Kurt.
``Oh, him? He`s a new kid in the Warblers. I went to visit them cause Thad called me a while back, and he had some questions he wanted to ask me about Dalton and being a lead warbler so we had coffee a couple times. He wants to have coffee again tomorrow.``
Kurt bit the inside of his cheek, trying not to be jealous; Blaine was his, and only his, and he knew that. Kurt smiled at Blaine.
``Is he nice?``
``He`s... Interesting, I guess.``
``How so?``
``Well, he`s a little bit more blunt than most people. I don`t know, I guess some people would call him rude or snarky, but I think he`s just misunderstood and needs a good mentor.``
Kurt nodded, patting Blaine`s arm.
``Well, we all know how good you are at that.`` He got up and grabbed his bag, walking away and Blaine smiled then frowned.
``Wait, was that sarcastic?``
``Maybe.``
``KURT!``
Okay. So THAT`s where I was going with that. I hope that`s more acceptable to some of you- but as for the amount of `drama`in the story... sadly enough, this stuff happens. I am basing this story mainly off of two of my friends and myself as well for the occurances. So, I apologise to those who think it`s too much, or unrealistic, but sadly, and unfortunately, this stuff happens. Bad stuff happens to innocent people, and i`ve seen it first hand, many of us have. And I just want to express that. I`m sorry if it`s disappointing to some people, but bad things happen.
Even if we don`t want them to.
