I'm back everyone! Here's the third chapter. Hope you'll like it! Also, thanks for reviewing so quickly, Kitty. Well, here's the chapter! Not sure if it's a good one though.
Andropov's POV
I woke up from my deep sleep. I got up into a sitting position and rubbed my eyes. It was 7 a.m. now. Class will start soon and we'll be late for breakfast if we don't wake up. I moved my sheets out of the way, stood up, and walked over to Kluke who was still sleeping. Her hair was sticking out in every direction. I shook her shoulders and her eyes started to flutter open, revealing her beautiful emerald eyes. She got up into a sitting position and rubbed her eyes.
"We should get ready. Breakfast will start soon." I told her.
She nodded and we both went to our own bathrooms. We finished our bath and we wore our uniforms, before going out the room and into our cafeteria. We ate breakfast with the others and went to our class when we finished.
The class went on but I spent most of my time staring at Kluke. Her hair was back in her usual ponytail. I was a bit disappointed for some reason. I like her hair when it's down like yesterday. She looked much cuter that way.
The class was packed with students. I was sitting on the front while Kluke was sitting a few desks away from me. I wanted to sit next to her. I guess it's enough to be in the same class as her and to be her roommate. It's far from enough I suppose.
"Andropov! Pay attention!" I heard the teacher shout.
"Y-Yes!" I stuttered when I finally snapped out of it.
"Now, I want all of you to perform the spell in page 3." The teacher continued while holding up the book.
I opened my book to the requested page. I read the spell and it was a simple one. I had to concentrate my power to make some orbs of fire. I did the spell and saw that the others were able to do it as well. Of course they were able to do it. It's such a simple spell.
"Very good. You're all doing well." The teacher said.
We continued to study. Then, the schedule changed into combat practice. In this school, we don't only study spells, but we also study about combat, self-defense, and swordsmanship. It helps us to get stronger and practice our other senses besides magic.
"All of you please change into your fighting uniform. The changing room is on the west. We'll meet back at the dojo. It's around the garden. You're all dismissed!" The teacher explained.
We stood up from our seats and took out our uniform. All of us went out of the class and tried to find the changing room. We found it and it wasn't too far from class. The boys and girls went their separate ways and changed in separate rooms.
After changing, we went out the room. The others were on their way to the dojo but I just waited for Kluke. She went out the room and looked at me with a curious look on her face. Her fighting uniform was the same like mine, only the color was different. The boy's uniform was in grey while the girls were in red.
"Andropov? Why aren't you at the dojo?" she asked me.
"I wanted to wait for you. Come on. We'll go together." I told her. I grabbed her hand and slightly pulled it so we could go. We both walked to the garden, following the other students.
I was still holding her hand while we walked. None of us pulled away. We were both comfortable the way we were. She slightly squeezed my hand. The warmth of her hand was spreading throughout my body. The feeling was…really nice. I actually wished that she won't ever let go. I saw her cheeks turn a bit pink. She wasn't looking at me, but she had a gentle smile on her face.
We passed the fountain and I could see a wooden building up ahead. It was big and the other students were already there. We both walked faster and we reached the door. We went through the door and the room looked much bigger from the inside.
Kluke's hand slipped out from mine. I looked over to her and she was blushing more. She was rubbing her palm, her smile growing nervous. I scratched the back of my head uncomfortably.
"S…Sorry." I murmured.
"No, don't apologize. I enjoyed it actually." I heard her say.
We both sat down on the available cushions around the room. We were sitting next to each other. I looked at her uniform and it suits her. It looked much like a samurai's uniform, only child version. My smile grew at the sight of her. Strange emotions were flowing around my head. I had no idea what was going on, nor what the feeling was. My gaze was locked on her. Her cheeks were turning redder and she kept smiling. She must've noticed that I was staring at her.
I snapped out of my daydream when the door slid open, revealing the teacher. But she was a different teacher. She wore the same uniform like ours, but in the color purple. "Kluke and Lisa, please come forward." She suddenly said.
I looked over to Kluke that looked nervous. I placed my hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile, to give her some courage. She smiled back at me and stood up. Both of the girls went to the teacher and they were having a serious look on their faces.
"You two, spar. Here are your weapons." The teacher said while making two wooden swords with her magic. She gave the weapons to the two girls. They looked at each other for a few seconds and back to the teacher. She just stepped out of their way as a sign that she was serious.
The girls took a few steps away from each other. They faced each other with serious gazes on their faces. They got ready with their weapons. "Begin!" the teacher said.
The two swords clashed with each other. The other students were cheering for the two fighters. "Go, Kluke! You can do it!" I shouted. Most of the students were cheering for Lisa since she was winning.
Their wooden swords clashed again and they pulled back. Lisa swung her sword and it barely missed Kluke's head. I sighed in relief that she wasn't hurt. Kluke was able to counter but Lisa blocked it. Lisa let her guard down for a second and Kluke took that chance. She swung her sword at Lisa's and the wooden sword fell out from Lisa's hands. Kluke pointed the tip of her sword to Lisa's nose, as a sign that she won. They were both sweating and huffing. There was a complete silence in the room.
"Winner: Kluke!" the teacher announced.
All the other students clapped their hands and cheered for her. The two fighters shook each others' hands and they took their seats. Kluke sat down next to me and I smiled at her. "You were great. Congratulations!" I told her.
"Thanks. It wasn't easy though. I just got lucky that she put her guard down for a second." She said.
"No, you won with your own power."
"Well, thank you. I appreciate it, Andropov."
Our faces turned a bit red. We looked away from each other and watched the next fight. The class went on and it was over. I was hoping that I got my turn so I could get a compliment from Kluke, but I didn't so I was feeling a bit disappointed.
We went to the changing room and all of us changed into our normal school uniform. We put away our fighting uniform and continued to study. It was finally lunch time and all of us went to the cafeteria. The menu for today wasn't bad. I chose the curry rice while Kluke chose the tuna surprise. We tried to find a seat but it was packed with other students.
"Let's sit over there." I heard Kluke say while pointing to a small table. It was made for two people. I slightly blushed but we just decided to eat there. We sat down and made our way through the food. It was great. I'm glad that I went to school here. Not only was I able to get a high education and a nice facility, I met a wonderful girl. Wait, I mean she's nice but I don't exactly think that she's wonderful or anything. Or do I?
"Andropov? Are you ok?" I heard Kluke ask with concern in her voice.
"O-Oh, yes. I'm fine." I told her when I snapped out of my thoughts.
I continued to eat, along with Kluke. We finally finished our food. But I accidently dropped my spoon when I wanted to put it on my plate.
"Oh, I'll get it for you." I heard Kluke say while scrunching down.
"No, I'll get it." I told her while trying to get the spoon.
"Ouch!" We accidently bumped our heads with each other. Idiot! I'm such an idiot! I mentally scolded myself. We were rubbing our foreheads that were hurting.
"I-I'm really sorry. Are you hurting?" I asked her with concern in my voice. I reached out my hand to her and rubbed her forehead that had a red mark on it. Her eyes went wide opened when my hand stopped moving. I was lost in her emerald eyes; I didn't even notice that her face turning red. Unconsciously, I slid my hand from her forehead to her cheek. I didn't know what I was doing since my emotions took over me. I couldn't control my body. The next thing I knew, I was leaning my head towards her.
"A…Andropov? What are you…" I heard her whisper.
"Don't say…anything else, Kluke… Just…" I trailed off and continued to lean my head to hers. When our lips were just a few centimeters away from each other, the bell rang and it was time for class. I regained my consciousness and quickly pulled back from her. I was resting on my arms and she was doing the same. Our faces were the color of a tomato.
We got our control again and stood up. We just went to class while looking away from each other. I can't believe what I just did! I…I tried to…
"Uh…Andropov?" My thoughts were interrupted by her sweet voice.
"Y-Y-Yes?" I stuttered while turning my head to her. You idiot! Stop stuttering! I thought angrily at myself.
"I just… I…um… N-Never mind." She said.
"W-Well, I just wanted to apologize for… you know." I said while scratching the back of my head.
"N-No. It's ok. Just forget about it, ok?" she told me.
I just nodded while trying my hardest to shake away my blush, but I couldn't do it. My face was still red. The classes went on and it was finally over. We bowed to our teacher and she went out of the room. All of us went back to our rooms.
I closed the door and my face was still red. I was so embarrassed after all of this. How am I supposed to talk to her? I can't even think straight anymore. I was leaning my back on the door. I didn't know what Kluke was doing. I thought that she was taking a bath or something, but I was wrong.
"Andropov? Why is your face red? Do you have a fever?" Kluke asked while placing her hand on my forehead. My blush grew even more when I saw how close she was to me.
"N-No. I don't think I have a fever." I told her.
"But your head's warm. Are you sure that you're not sick?" she asked me again.
"I-I'm warm because… because I feel…embarrassed…" I murmured while turning my head to hide my blush.
"O-Oh." She took a few steps back, giving me back my personal space. We just took a bath in our own bathrooms and we changed into our casual clothes. I just hope that this day will be over soon. Kluke hasn't come out from the bathroom yet so I just sat on my bed, reading a book. I was slowly forgetting what happened in the cafeteria.
Done! Wow, that's really long. Well, hope you liked it. Sorry if I didn't make Andropov and Kluke kiss. Don't worry; I'll make them kiss eventually. See ya next time!
