I'm back! Wow, I've been getting some reviews already. I usually don't get any reviews as fast as this. Thanks for reviewing! Well, enjoy this chapter and please review some more! BTW, don't get the wrong idea when you read this, ok? You'll know what I mean when you get there.
Kluke's POV
"Andropov and Loki, come forward!" the teacher said.
"Good luck." I said to Andropov. He was sitting next to me. It's combat class right now. It's only been a day since Schneider came. I'm still a bit worried about what the Mika academy students will do to this school. They're brutal and I don't think that it'll end well if these two schools fight. I put those thoughts aside and just watched the two boys spar.
They were both in front of the class and they were ready to fight. I've been waiting to see how Andropov will do in combat practice. He seems strong so I'm curious if he's as strong as I thought. "Begin!" the teacher said.
The two swords clash with each other. The other students were cheering for them. "Come on! You can do it, Andropov!" I was shouting as hard as I can so my voice could be heard from the other cheers.
Andropov kept swinging his wooden sword at Loki's sword; making him step back. Andropov was really skilled in combat. It hasn't been two minutes and Andropov already won. Loki's sword fell out from his hand so Andropov won the battle.
"Winner: Andropov!" the teacher announced.
All of us cheered after the announcement. The two fighters shook each others' hands before sitting back down. "You did great!" I told him.
"Thanks." He said while smiling.
The class went on and it was over. All of us went out the door. We were heading towards the changing the room. My face turned red when a hand slipped its way into mine. I turned my head and I saw Andropov smiling at me. His face was pink and he was giving me a strange gaze. We were still walking but I couldn't feel my feet. I was completely lost in his sapphire eyes.
"Kluke?" he started.
"Y-Yes?" I stuttered.
"Do you have any plans tonight?"
"P-Plans? N-No but why d-do you a-ask?"
"Do you want to walk around the garden with me? It's beautiful in the night time."
"W-Walk around t-the g-g-garden? Well…" I was thinking about my answer. His question took me off guard. Is he asking me out on a date? N-No, of course he isn't. Is he?
"Please…" he whispered while slightly squeezing my hand. "Say yes…" his words made me shiver. His voice was so low and soft; causing me to blush even more.
"W-W-Well… when do you want to do it?" I asked.
"The garden looks much more beautiful after 9 p.m. So, right after bed time I guess." He answered while smiling softer.
"I…uh…" before I could answer, we made it to the changing room. What luck!
"I-I'll see you later, Andropov. I-I have to go!" I said before pulling my hand from his and running to the changing room. My face was the color of a tomato.
Andropov's POV
I sighed when Kluke ran towards the changing room. I wanted to hear her answer. I decided to just wait until school was over. I went to the boy's changing room and changed to my normal uniform. I finished changing and went out the room. I stared at the girl's changing room door for a few seconds. I sighed again and just went to class.
While I was walking, I was thinking about my question to Kluke. I'm not sure why I asked her that. I have mixed feelings for her. What does it mean? Am I…in love? No, I can't be. I'm not supposed to have any relationships with anyone here. But, I want to be close to Kluke and no-one else. If headmaster Logi found out about this, he'll break the deal and I'll never see 'her' again.
I made it to the classroom and sat down on my seat. I was remembering what it was like when 'she' is around me. I would always be happy. I loved her so much, but then she died a few years ago. It wasn't fair. All I had in the world was 'her' but now she's gone.
Flashback, yesterday.
I was walking around to find Schneider. He just disappeared from the group of students by making a sand storm. I stopped when I saw a blonde hair boy leaning his back against a tree. "Took you long enough." He muttered.
"Whatever. I'm here now, aren't I?" I barked back.
"Yes. You're always good with words, aren't you?" he said sarcastically.
"Did the headmaster tell you to give me a message?"
"Yes. He just wanted to remind you about your mission here, Andropov." he got off from the tree and walked over to me.
"Remember, you're only here to make them trust you. Then, you'll need to find the Secret Scroll in this school. Once you find it, the headmaster will give you your wish. He'll bring back your mother from the other world." He told me.
"Yes, I know that. Don't worry. But you should remember, I'm still new here and it's only been a few days since I set foot in this school. Don't expect that I'll get the scroll any time soon."
"Of course. The headmaster already knows that as well. Take your time. But, he did give you a warning."
"A warning?"
"Yes, don't overdo it with making them trust you."
"Meaning…?"
"I mean, don't make any real relationships with them. If we caught you making 'friends' with these students, he'll immediately break the deal and you can forget about ever seeing your mother. Just make them trust you, but don't have any connections with them, understand?"
"…Yes." My serious look was replaced with a worried one. I'm trying to make them trust me but I might have overdone it. "Kluke…"
"What was that?" I heard Schneider ask. I snapped out of it and I realized that I said her name.
"I-It's nothing." I told him. I lower my head so I was looking at my shoes. I heard his footsteps coming closer. I lifted my head so he wouldn't know that there's something bothering me.
"You're face's red." I heard Schneider told me.
"D-Don't be ridiculous!"
"And why do I get the feeling that you're lying?"
"I-I'm not lying!"
"You said someone's name and almost immediately, your face turned red. Are you hiding something? Or someone?"
I went quiet after that. Oh, no! He's going to tell the headmaster about this.
"Alright. I'm guessing that you're worried about me telling the headmaster. I won't say a word if you pay." Schneider said.
I sighed and searched around my pocket. I took out 50 gold and gave it to him. I shook his head as a sign that it wasn't enough. I searched around my pocket again and took out 200 gold. He accepted it and left. I sighed in relief that he won't tell anyone about this.
End of flashback
Class was finally over. I put my books away and looked over to Kluke. She looked at me for a second and her face turned completely red. She looked away and continued to put away her books. I couldn't help but smile at her and I felt my face heat up a bit.
All of us went out of the classroom. I noticed that Kluke wanted to come out the last. I chuckled at my idea. I went out the door and leaned my back against the wall that was next to the door. I was waiting for Kluke to come out. All the other students came out from the door.
Kluke finally come out from the door. She screamed when she saw me. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw her face. She was sighing when she calmed down.
"That's not funny!" I heard Kluke shout while I was laughing.
"Sorry, sorry." I managed to say between laughs.
I finally stopped laughing and just walked to my room with Kluke. I remembered about my question so I just asked her again.
"So? What's your answer?" I asked her. Kluke's face turned completely red and I was trying my best to not laugh.
"O-Ok." I heard her whisper.
My face split into a big grin. I was so glad that she agreed to my offer. "Great. We'll go after 9 p.m." I said. I saw her nod and she smiled. She looked down to her feet and her blush disappeared a little. I felt so happy. I guess…I really am in love with her.
