Andropov's POV
"Where are we going?" Kluke asked while both of us walked. I didn't answer her for a few minutes.
"We're here." I suddenly said.
We were at my mother's grave. The tombstone wasn't at a cemetery; it was at the edge of a cliff. The view was great. It showed a nice little village that was surrounded by forests.
"Anne Sarre…" Kluke murmured. "Who is she? She has the same last name as you."
"She's…my mother." I told her.
"Your…mother?"
"Yes. She was the only family I had. My father died before I was born. She took care of me on her own. But then…" unconsciously, my hands turned into fists. "She died three years ago." I finished. She looked at me with sorry in her eyes. She eventually looked back at the tombstone.
"That village is the place where I was born." I said while pointing at the small village. "It's also the place where my mother and father met. She had a lot of memories here. Before she died, she told me that she wanted to be buried here so she could watch over the people from a high place."
She kept silence while I explained. I'm guessing because she doesn't know what to say. Silence fell for a few seconds until I broke it. "She was the reason why I did all of this…" I murmured.
Kluke looked at me curiously. I continued to explain. "The headmaster from Mika academy said that he would bring my mother back if I did all of his orders."
"And…did he bring her back?" Kluke asked.
I shook my head and my heart was filled with hatred like before. "He lied to me. He didn't bring her back. Everything that I did for him was for nothing." I continued. I felt a bit relaxed after I remembered the up side to all of this. "But I guess it wasn't for nothing." I said. I looked at her with a smile. "I got a chance to meet you." I told her. My smile grew when I saw her face turn a bit red.
"Andropov…I'm proud of you." I heard a gentle voice say. I immediately turned back to see the tombstone. My eyes widened when I saw my mother's ghost. She looked the same as three years ago. She had long brown hair that wasn't tied. She had sapphire eyes like mine. She wore her usual light pink dress with a white apron.
She gave me a smile before disappearing into thin air. Tears of joy fell from eyes and I found myself smiling. Thanks mom…for everything I thought.
"Andropov?" I heard Kluke say with concern in her voice. I looked at her, my smile still on my face. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into a kiss. I heard her moan but I just deepened the kiss.
"Kluke…thank you so much." I said after our lips parted.
"What for?" she asked kindly with a sweet smile on her face.
"For everything. Your kindness, your love, your trust, and your understanding. All of it." I answered.
She smiled at me. I released her and we both went down to the village below. My home, Gyuuki village. The village looked bigger than from the cliff. It didn't change much since I last visit here. It felt good to be home again. I saw my house that was next to a big tree.
"Is that your house?" Kluke asked me when I was staring at a house. I nodded at her question.
We went in it and everything was the same as before. There was a dining room in the middle of the house, two bed rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. We didn't have much money before so we couldn't buy a nicer house.
"So, this is where you live?" I heard Kluke ask again.
I just nodded again. She picked up a picture frame from a shelf. I walked over to her and examined the picture. It was a picture of me and my mother in her garden. I really miss her smile, but looking at Kluke's smile makes me feel much better. She put the picture frame back on the shelf. I looked outside the window and saw some villagers walking around. I grabbed Kluke's hand and slightly pulled it.
"Let's go outside. I'll show you around if you'd like." I told her. She shot me another smile. We walked out the door and started to walk around. Some of the villagers greeted me since they haven't seen me for awhile. Of course, they asked me about Kluke. They guessed that she was my girlfriend and I just nodded. It made Kluke and I blush though.
"The villagers here are really nice." Kluke said while walking.
"Yes. They helped me out when my mother died."
"Oh…"
We stopped when we were in front of a bread shop. The nice smell made me hungry, especially when I didn't eat much at breakfast. Kluke pulled my hand and we both went in the shop. We looked around and we found the bread we liked. I remembered that I didn't have any money. I sighed at the thought. I wanted to eat but I can't pay for the bread.
"What's the matter?" Kluke asked me.
"I-It's just; I don't have any money to pay."
"Oh." She searched around her pocket and took out some money. "I can pay for you."
"No, it's ok. You don't have to."
"Don't be so stubborn." She pulled my hand so we could pay for the bread. We went out after we paid. We sat on a bench that was around town. We ate the bread while watching the villagers go by.
"Don't you think it's strange?" I asked, breaking the comfortable silence.
"What's strange?" Kluke asked before taking another bite from her bread.
"The fact that we…fell in love with each other in such short notice. We only met each other for a few days and we already…you know…kissed." My face turned pink at the thought.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. But…" she trailed off for a moment. She laid her head on my shoulder while closing her eyes. "I wouldn't want it any other way." She whispered.
I just blinked a few times. I found myself smiling at her and I wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "I feel the same way."
