Gamer stopped by Amy's apartment for a visit one day. He heard whimpering coming from Nebula's room. He went in to check it out. He saw that she was still asleep, but could tell she was having a nightmare. Nebula was tossing and turning in her sleep.
She whimpered, "Get...away...from...me...I...DON'T WANT...TO...BE...TURNED...INTO A... ZOMBIE! NOOOOO!"
Gamer gently shook her and said, "Nebs, wake up." Suddenly, Nebula's eyes flew open and she screamed. Gamer took a step back and said, "Nebula, it's me Gamer."
Nebula took a deep breath and replied, "Sorry about that."
Gamer smiled as he said, "It's all right. Remember, I'm used to your screams."
Nebula smiled back as she replied, "Oh yeah."
Gamer chuckled, "I could tell you were having a nightmare about zombies."
Nebula started sobbing, "Yes. I hate how they're flesh just keeps coming off. Among other things." She shuddered in fear.
Gamer, not knowing where Shadow was and not wanting to leave Nebula alone right now, started to rub her quills to calm her down, which made her purr softly. He suddenly got an idea on how to help her.
He said, "Nebula, don't worry. I'll get the others to help you so that you're not afraid of zombies anymore."
Nebula looked up and asked, "You'd do that for me?"
Gamer replied, "Sure. After all, I still owe you for calling Jasmine several weeks ago, back when I was still afraid of rollercoasters. After this, we'll be even."
Nebula chuckled as she said, "All right."
30 minutes later, at Tails's Workshop:
Gamer arrived with Nebula while the rest of the Team was already there.
Shadow saw Nebula's bloodshot eyes and ran up to her to give her a hug. Nebula was surprised, but hugged her back. Gamer was looking at them, when Jasmine snuck up behind him to give him a surprise hug. He was startled, but calmed down when he realized it was only her.
She chuckled, "Got you, Gamer."
Gamer chuckled back, "Yes you did."
When they broke the hug, Gamer turned to everyone else and said, "Now, time to help Nebula overcome her fear of zombies." The rest of the team nodded.
Gamer had Nebula lie down on the couch.
He said, "Now Nebula, what's the worst part about zombies?"
Nebula replied, "Well, they can turn living people/mobians into zombies."
Gamer asked, "Anything else?"
Nebula nodded. "They also look creepy. With their ripped flesh. Uggghh." She shuddered.
Gamer said, "All right, well I'll tell the others. Just stay here." Nebula nodded.
Gamer went to where the others were and told them what she told him.
Shadow said, "I'll go talk to her. I'll bring her out here if we need extra help." Gamer nodded. This was exactly what he expected.
When Shadow came in, he said, "Nebs, as long as you can throw a zombie, they'll never get close to you. With your superstrength, you could send one zombie literally thousands of meters away."
Nebula replied, "Yes, but Shadow, if a bunch of zombies attack at once..."
Shadow finished, "Then just launch energy blasts at them using anger. That should do the trick. Plus you could fly above them."
Nebula smiled. "You're right Shads. I need to stop being afraid and fight them."
Shadow chuckled, "Now that's the girl I love." They came out.
Gamer looked at Shadow and asked, "Well?"
Shadow smiled and replied, "She's fine now."
Gamer turned to Nebula and arched an eyebrow.
Nebula smirked, "Yup. I'm not afraid of zombies any longer." Everyone was glad. They had a party to celebrate.
