Michael and Kitt get the day off. Michael is always ready for a beach day. But is Kitt? A short and fun fluff piece.

Devon is hosting a conference on behalf of the Foundation. Unfortunately, armed gunmen have taken him and some of the other attendees hostage. Michael will have to rescue them, with a little help from his assistant.

A first person fluff piece about you trying to win a Scavenger Hunt. Too bad KARR isn't as excited as you about winning that prize money. Will he let you gain access? Drive? Win?

Set in BuckleWinner's Kile and Kasey AU. Kile and Kasey cannot seem to catch a break. Luckily, they have plenty of friends and family to help clean them up.

I believe this was an early version or brainstorm of what would later become: A drive under the cottonwood. I re-read it and I think it's good enough as a stand-alone short. I rather have it here than collecting dust in my docs. Enjoy! Author's note: I really should start checking my drives regularly. I keep finding short stories collecting dust that I've meant to release but just forgot about them. Excerpt: "Michael had his suspicion. The car was very elegantly made, a pure breed with an outstanding bag of tricks up its axles. Michael didn't mind the car, nor that it spoke more or less most of the time but... "

Segment: "The car whirred in response. Kitt was unsure if something was bothering the young human or not. Doug was so difficult to read at times and with the plus of having a faulty memory, Kitt was struggling to determine an appropriate response." Would have been neat if this episode was longer...

KARR listens to Tony and the Rev. KARR watches them. Always. They can be trusted (that fact has been stored at the bottom of his depleted databanks). They can be trusted (but KARR must be prepared to defend himself).

Excerpt: "'Lub-dub' So you're still here. This weakly fluttering heartbeat that I can't even determine if it's real or not. I second guess myself and figure I'm malfunctioning — I hope I can fix it myself or Mr. Knight and Mr. Miles will send me to diagnostics again." I always wondered what it was like before Michael entered the picture...

It's one thing to lose a CPU, and another to lose your entire friend. Kitt's CPU gets stolen, and it's up to Michael to find Kitt's true whereabouts in a facility housing dozens of AI's for an autonomous jet program before Kitt takes to the sky!

Excerpt: "There'd been few cats that he encountered on his trips, so it was completely bizarre to come along a small replica of what he knew as "cat" coming to greet him and getting her whiskers caught in his grill."

"They lowered the TA to a lower level of the building. The car meekly followed the instructions of the engineers crowding his chassis as they passed him into a separate room. Aligning himself with the car lift anxiously, he popped open his hood obediently. Feeling exposed he flinched at the sight of different hands handling his turbine [...]."

"Who's the killer?" "I can't — Mr. Knight! I'm not crazy enough to let you run savagely amongst the streets and get yourself killed. Or worse — let you kill someone!" The man shook his head leaning back against the back of the couch, feeling his blood beat in his head. "Look, will you help me find the killer? Yes, or no?" "I drive." Michael cocked his head.

Excerpt: "From K — I can't abort the mission — I [data not found] disobey this command [...][File Corruption Warning high. Run diagnostics? [y/n] Stay safe K." Some nonsense I've been cooking up in my docs. Might be a one-shot, might not. We'll see.

They have treasures at the pick-a-parts but also a field of untold stories, trips, and accidents.

"The bird approached the cap of its aerial parabola, dipping its prow down to Earth. Glistening under the showers of sun, the bird descending toward the land — no longer airborne — its flight interrupted, it braced for impact in an expectant stance." - Excerpt.

"He listened to his seasoned V8 a little longer before approaching a window... He almost could have burst laughing the second Michael's shaky hand latched to the curtain and pulled it away giving the car a ginormous grin. The man could recognize that gentle whirr from anywhere and for this Kitt felt content that not all of Michael's cognitive archives had gone entirely corrupt."

Michael is poisoned with a deadly neurotoxin and it's up to Bonnie, RC and the team to find out who not only poisoned him but infected KITT with a computer virus. Michael also discovers he loves Bonnie, and the team builds a never version of KARR to help them

Melissa has gone out to a party . . . in Kitt. Michael can't figure out whether the crime is theft or kidnapping. Or possibly inducement since she clearly talked Kitt into going along with her plans. Now, he just needs to figure out what to do about typical teenager behavior with an atypical car.

Summary: SEB knows he has a family tree. In a way don't all computers sort of have one? If the Knight 2000 is part of his family, he's determined to find him and help him reconnect with this new age of technology. Author's note: sort of random fic but it's here and it exists (?)

Michael and Kitt are asked to track down jewelry thieves who target auctions. Melissa, Michael's ward and assistant, is recovering from surgery, making the teenager a bit cranky. And what's this about a boyfriend? (Third in the Guardian Knight series. Helps to have read the previous stories, but isn't required.)

Something is going bump in the night... Scary stories, ghosts, goblins, pumpkins and bats? Karr doesn't understand this holiday that the others seem to be so excited about. He has accepted that he must wear a 'costume.' He has accepted that he is to listen to Michael's scary stories and watch horror movies. To bad no one warned him about the Trick or Treaters.
