I felt so content, like I'd had the best sleep ever, I could feel myself slowly waking up but I refused to open my eyes I was so comfy. Except, what was that I was holding? An arm? Ohh everything rushed back. The blackout, the prisoner Johnny's stupid pranks, and Sam. How she'd grabbed my hand in the hall and I felt little sparks fly up my arm and dance in my tummy, I'd let her hold my hand, she'd seemed oblivious to the fact she was doing so, for me it felt all my senses were concentrated in my palm. The look she'd gave me just before going to her room. How I'd wanted to reach out to her but didn't have the guts, regretting the fact I'd eventually pointed out she was holding my hand, and taunted her. I'd felt bad she seemed so scared. Why had I been so mean? But then somehow she ended up in my room and jumped in my bed, I was so shocked. I can't imagine how scared she must of been to risk coming to my room with fears I'd laugh at her. But she came, and I bit my tongue and held back all the jeers I could of tossed at her. That's what I'd learnt to do over the years, never let them see you're weak, that you can care, cause someone will use it against you and you will only end up getting hurt. So you hurt them first before they get the chance.

Her head lay across my shoulder now. The sun was shining through a crack in my curtains and onto her face, surly it would wake her. But what would I do when it did? Would I build up my walls again laugh at her and tell her to leave? No I couldn't. Here wasn't like the other homes, I had to keep reminding myself of that. I don't have to fight for everything, that's not how to get respect here. Its odd this place in that way.

Sam started to stir, scrunched up her eyes and yawned, she was adorably cute. Her eyes fluttered open. Should I pretend to be asleep? Yes, no. No no, why should I, who would care, everyone else living here was a big softie, so why couldn't I be every once in a while.

She blinked, focused, saw me, confusion, then comprehension. I sat up, she followed, she seemed awkward and unsure how to react, I could tell she was trying to figure me out, probably wondering which elektra she'd get. Like I'd twin personalities. I smiled and she relaxed.

"sorry about last night, it was just all Johnny's pranks, and that prisoner. Sorry" she said.

"it's ok don't worry about it." I replied.

"and thanks for not, you know, making fun of me." she said head bowed in embarrassment, cheeks glowing red.

"I wouldn't of" I started

She looked at me one eyebrow raised.

"well normally I would of" I said "but that's not me anymore." I paused "I'm actually doing this thing were I try not to push everyone away."

"ah the new elektra" she said messing as she faked looking into the distance and pulling her hand past her face, like one of those people you see in the movies visualising the next big thing. " I can see it now" she laughed.

"hey! " is said giving her a friendly shove. She nudged me back smiling. Then started laughing.

"what?" I exclaimed.

"no it's nothing."

"just tell me what it is, go on"

"no really it doesn't matter" she replied stifling laughter.

"what is it" I demanded tickling her

"NO STOP, stop" she shrieked

"not till you tell me" I laughed

" oo okayyy haha okay ahhh! I surrender, I surrender." she squealed

I paused, "well"

"you, well you snore." she hesitated "like a pig!"

"what!" I exclaimed. "I do not" I cried indignantly lunging for her. She screamed and jumped out of my way. I leaped of the bed after her, tripped on the tangled sheets and tumbled pulling Sam down with me, both of us screaming with laughter.

"what on earth is going.." the door swung fully open and mike stopped speechless. Gina hot on his heels. "what is going on" he started again.

I looked at Sam she looked at me and we both burst out laughing again.
