Chapter 6:
The next morning I woke up. It felt like a good day. Stefan's humanity was back, I was living with my brothers and I was starting school. It turned out that Damon had already enrolled me to the school before asking me if I wanted to stay in Mystic Falls. I put my make up on and picked out my clothes. They were always dark coloured clothes ever since I turned into a vampire all the bright coloured clothes just annoy me. I picked out my favorite black high-heeled shoes. Finally I figured what to do with my blonde hair. I decided to curl it.
"Ivy... Are you nearly ready? We're going to be late" Stefan shouted.
"Coming now" I picked up my stuff and my jacket and met Stefan outside.
I drove to the school and found a parking space and Stefan parked his car next to me. I would've got a lift but I to be honest I didn't like the idea of a vintage car. I got out and everyone stared as I walked into school with Stefan.
"I'll meet you in History. You just need to register first" Stefan said leaving me. I started walked to the registration office.
"Hey... Ivy. What are you doing here?" Jeremy shouted calling me over.
"Jeremy. Hey. I'm living with my brothers now which means I go here" I said.
"You've met Tyler already. This is Matt Donovan. Matt this is Ivy Salvatore" Jeremy introduced us.
"Hey, It's nice to meet you Matt. I would love to stay and chat but I have to go registrar and get to History before I get in trouble with Stefan for being later than he expects me to be. I'll see you guys later" I said rushing off to the registration room. As soon as I got registered I ran to History. I knocked on the door and walked in.
"You must be Ivy. Stefan's told me all about you" The guy said.
"Yeah. That's me" I smiled.
"Well I'm Alaric Saltzman. Everyone. I'd like you to welcome Ivy Salvatore to our school and class" Alaric said giving me my books and I went and sat by Stefan. After History I had to go plan the party with Rebekah and Caroline after all I did promise Rebekah.
"Hey guys. Where do you need me?" I said walking over to Rebekah and Caroline.
"With us. We can't decide on a theme. I said masquerade" Rebekah said.
"But I think a 80's party is a better idea" Caroline interrupted Rebekah.
"Why don't you do both and let the student decide if the want to come with a mask or 80's clothes" I said.
"That's actually a pretty good idea" Matt said walking past hearing the conversation.
"Thank you" I smiled at him.
"Matt's got a point Ivy's idea is good. No argument just let everyone get whats easier and suits them" Rebekah said.
"Fine it looks like we're doing that then" Caroline said in a bit of a mood.
"We could bring plus ones aswell" Matt said.
"Matt you're not part of the committee" Caroline said.
"Sorry I just thought it would be a good idea" Matt mumbled.
"Hey Rebekah. I think we need to go shopping for dresses" I said to her.
"We'll go after school" Rebekah said.
"Great. Are we bringing plus ones or not?" I asked.
"I think we should" Rebekah said.
"Fine. I guess we're doing that too" Caroline said before the bell went off and she left first to go to class.
After a long day of being introduced over and over, learning nothing and just being plain bored I met up with Stefan and Elena.
"Hey... How did your first day go?" Elena asked.
"I realized why I stopped going to school 20 years ago" I told them.
"What are you doing now?" Stefan asked.
"I'm going to meet Rebekah. We're going dress shopping for the dance. We thought it'd be best to leave the rest with Caroline before she killed us" I joked a little.
"Who you bringing as your plus one?" Elena asked.
"I don't know yet. Who you bringing?" I lied. I had someone in mind but I didn't know whether to ask them.
"Stefan. But I feel sorry for Damon. Do you know anyone who will go with him?" Elena asked.
"I didn't think Damon liked these things" I said.
"He does he just won't admit it" Alaric said walking up behind us.
"You know Damon?" I asked confused.
"We haven't met properly. I'm a vampire hunter" He said.
"You must be a bad one then because we're still alive" I said.
"Only because of Elena and Stefan. I trust them" He told me.
"Right. Of course. Look I better be going. Rebekah's not going to wait forever. I'll meet you guys at the dance" I said walking off.
I met Rebekah in one of the dress shops. She was looking around at all the dresses and had a bunch already to try on.
"Sorry I'm late. I was having a proper meeting with our History teacher. Also I decided to sign us up for cheerleading since I'm stuck in a school I really want to quit already" I explained putting my bags down and starting to look through the dresses.
"You signed me up?" Rebekah asked passing me some dresses she had also picked out for me.
"Well I'm going to need someone to talk to" I said as we went into the changing rooms.
"Who you going to the dance with?" Rebekah asked.
"I've been nominated to go with Damon. Stefan text me when I left them saying don't bother with a plus one you need to go with Damon" I told her.
"At least you have someone. No one's asked me and I can't find anyone to ask" Rebekah said.
"You'll find someone" I said walking out to see Rebekah looking at her dress in the mirror.
"You know this is the first dance I've been to. I've been in a coffin for so many years. I just want it to be perfect" Rebekah opened up looking at her dress.
"It will be. You know why... because we are going to go have fun and forget about everything that's gone bad and show everyone that we are the girls that no one messes with" I comforted her.
"Thank you" She said.
"Now wipe those tears away because we are going to buy our dresses and I am going to treat us both to a makeover for this dance. You know they say you'll never forget your first dance" I said.
We payed for our dresses and went to the hair dressers. We decided to both have a hair dip dyed. I had a dark pink and Rebekah had red. Next we went to go get our nails done. After that we had our make-up done. It was coming up to the dance so we went to our homes and put our dresses on.
"Ivy... You ready to go to this stupid dance?" Damon shouted up the stairs.
I picked up my mask and walked down the stairs. I wore this long black dress which was layered at the bottom with some black heels. Elena and Stefan were waiting at the bottom in their 80's outfits and Damon in his tux.
"I'm here" I smiled getting down the stairs.
"Great can we get going now?" Damon moaned walking out the door.
We finally got to the school and the decoration was beautiful. It was elegant just like you were going to a ball. We walked inside the school and it went 80's through the corridors then where the dance was being held it was a mix of both.
"What do you guys think?" Caroline asked seeing us walk in.
"I've got to hand it to you Caroline. I think you've done a good job" I said before putting my mask against my face and went to go find Rebekah. I walked through a lot of people before I saw Rebekah sat on her own.
"What you doing here there are people dancing?" I asked her taking the seat next to her.
"It's perfect. I just don't feel like dancing with my date" She said.
"Who's your date?" I asked her.
"Klaus. I had no one else. I wanted to ask Stefan but he's with Elena" She said.
"Listen to me. You look perfect. Your dress is amazing. You've had your hair, nails and make-up done. Now you're going to get up and we will dance to this song and have fun" I said standing up holding my hand.
Rebekah took my hand and I dragged her to the dance floor. We danced for most of the night. Rebekah left to go to do something and I knew I had the chance. I walked back over to Damon and the rest.
"Look guys I need your help" I said walking to them.
"What is it?" Stefan asked.
"I need you Stefan to have one slow dance with Rebekah. She's never had a dance before and she really wants the perfect first dance" I said quietly.
"He promised me the first slow dance" Elena said.
"So. You can always slow dance with him. Rebekah has been in a coffin for ages give her this one thing please" I begged.
"Why are you on her side all of a sudden?" Bonnie asked.
"I forgave her for what she did to John. Now I don't see the point in fighting and she's not such a bad person" I explained.
"I'll do it. I at least owe her that after everything that had happened" Stefan said walking off to Rebekah who was sat on her own again.
I ran over to the DJ and requested one of the slow songs. I stood and watched as Stefan and Rebekah walked onto the dance floor. Damon persuaded Elena to dance with him. Caroline and Tyler went on and then Jeremy and Bonnie.
"Hello sweetheart... Would you care to dance?" Klaus asked with a smile on his face and his hand out.
"Why not" I smiled taking his hand and walking onto the dance floor.
"You look beautiful tonight. It reminds me of when I met you in the 1920's" He smirked.
"I'm positive that was the same thing you were wearing in the 1920's" I joked.
"Thank you for everything you're doing for Rebekah. She's happy again for the first time in a long time" He said looking over at her with Stefan.
"It was the least I could do. You save my brother after you made him turn his humanity switch off" I said.
"I'm sorry about that. I was angry. It wasn't till our talk when I told you the truth that I realize what I did was wrong" He apologized just as the song finished.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked.
"Sure beautiful. What is it?" He asked.
"What is Elijah and Kol doing here?" I asked looking at the doorway.
"I don't know. They were in their coffins still" Klaus looked panicked.
"Hello brother. It's been a while" Kol smirked.
I know Kol and Elijah aren't supposed to be back yet but I have changed my storyline quite a lot. I hope it doesn't bother any of the readers.
