Chapter 11
Today was Miss Mystic Falls. Caroline still won't tell me who my date but honestly I think she hasn't decided yet or she's keeping Stefan after he missed out on his with Elena. I was just looking forward to seeing everyone again especially after Esther has put a tight leash on them.
I woke up quite refreshed and ready for the day. I went downstairs to Stefan, Damon, Elena and Caroline who were sorting out the Katherine issue. Lucky for me I had to leave that conversation to start getting ready. I said bye to everyone before leaving and going to my car. My brothers had already put everything I needed in my car for me so I didn't need to do it. I drove to the Mikaelson's house seeing only Esther outside this time.
"Do you need help taking your things inside?" Esther shouted as I got out the car.
"I think I'm good, thanks. Wouldn't want to trouble you" I said starting to get my things.
"No you're not. Give that here" Rebekah said taking the dress off me.
"Rebekah aren't you supposed to be helping your brothers?" Esther asked annoyed.
"Mother we have people to do all that for us. We are here to help Ivy with anything she needs" Elijah said walking past Esther with Kol and Klaus.
"You wouldn't want your guests to hear how you neglected the contestants would you?" Kol smirked.
"Of course not. You go right ahead" Esther glared walking off.
"You didn't have to do that" I said closing my car door.
"I think we did. Now come on lets go make you presentable." Rebekah smirked walking back to the house.
"I am presentable thank you very much" I laughed following her to the house.
We walked into the room with all the other contestants who already we're getting their hair done. I sat down in front of the last available mirror and Rebekah started to curl my hair.
"Have you spoken to Matt since the dinner?" I smirked.
"No. I haven't. Not that he would want to speak to me anyway" Rebekah looked at me through the mirror.
"Well I think he's going to be here later maybe you could talk to him then. Plus that you go to the same school" I said.
"I don't think so. Anyway he's not my type" She lied.
"You keep think that" I laughed.
"The question is what's going on between you and Klaus?" Rebekah smirked.
"There's nothing going on between me and Klaus" I said.
"The little glances you keep giving each other, the fact that Klaus will do anything for you and the heart to hearts... but there's nothing going on" Rebekah gave me that look.
"There's nothing going on" I smiled.
"You keep thinking that" Rebekah laughed.
"I think I should warn you about something" I said.
"What is it?" Rebekah asked finishing my hair.
"Katherine came over yesterday as Elena and she heard your mother talking to Finn about how she was going to kill you all at once today by making you drink something and Finn's all up for it" I told her.
"You believe Katherine?" She asked.
"This time I do. Why else would your mother come back and just decide to put on a big event like Miss Mystic Falls?" I asked.
"Look you put on your dress. I'm going to warn my brothers" Rebekah said walking out.
I sat there for a while wondering whether I had done the right thing by telling Rebekah. I looked over at my stuff seeing the box with my dress in it. I got up picking it up and went to get ready. I walked out with and all the contestants had gone and the only person that was left was Esther.
"I thought I told you to stay away from my family" She said.
"I did warn you to tell them to stay away from me because I did what you asked and they kept coming to me. Also if you wanted me to stay away maybe you should've found another venue" I told her.
"Do you really think you can win over me?" She asked.
"Maybe I can... maybe I can't. All I know is I'm not scared of you. You think you can scare me into backing down but all it's doing is making me stronger. These little meetings where you try to tell me what to do it's not going to work because unlike you your family actually likes me and everyone else in Mystic Falls likes me but you... you won't be here for very much longer" I told her.
"You don't want to go up against me Ivy" She said.
"It's too late. I already am going up against you" I said.
"Mother... They're waiting for you downstairs" Elijah said walking in.
"Of course dear. Good luck Ivy" Esther smirked walking out.
"Perfect timing Elijah. God knows what would've happened if you didn't interrupt then" I said putting my red heels on.
"Rebekah told me what Katherine heard. Are you sure you want to believe Katherine?" Elijah asked.
"Look I believe her... you don't have to. All I know is I don't trust Esther and I wouldn't put it past her to do something like it and I've only known her for a couple of week. Either way I should probably get going. I have a competition to win" I said putting on my necklace and leaving.
I stood at the top of the stairs while the other girls went down trying to see who my date was but unfortunately I couldn't see anyone from at the top of the stairs.
"Our final contestant... Miss Ivy Salvatore and her date Klaus Mikaelson" I heard them say as I walked down the stairs seeing Klaus stood there waiting for me.
"Caroline decided I would be the best date for you" Klaus said as I got closer to him taking his hand.
"It's better than some of her other choices" I smirked as we started to walk out.
"You're wearing the necklace I got you" He said pointing out the heart-shaped necklace he got me at the dinner.
"I've not had a day where I haven't worn it. I'm just very good at covering it up" I said as we got outside and got in our positions for the dance.
The music started playing as we started to dance. although I knew everyone was around watching I forgot all about them while we were doing the dance. It was like I was in another place to everyone else. I had so many memories running through my head at that point like when I watched it with my mom, when I first turned, when I first met my brothers and when I first met each of the Mikaelson's. It wasn't long till the dance was over and then it was just waiting time for the judges to make up their mind. I went for a walk around the Mikaelson's gardens.
"It's weird to think that we were dancing the first time you met me before you found out how you actually met me" I heard Klaus behind me.
"It's weird to think how long ago the 1920's was and how much has happened since then" I turned around to face him.
"I know what my mother's going to do. I wanted to bye incase it works" Klaus said taking my hand.
"It's not going to work. Don't even think that. I don't know what I'd do without you or any of you annoying Mikaelson's" I told him.
"I forgot how stubborn you were" Klaus grinned.
"I am not stubborn" I joked.
"Yes you are" Klaus laughed.
"Can I ask... What is this between us?" I asked looking at him.
"I don't know... but whatever this I don't want it to end" Klaus said leaning in closer to me.
"Hey will you two hurry they're about to crown Miss Mystic Falls" Caroline shouted to us.
"Coming" I shouted back pulling back letting go of Klaus' hand and running back to the house and onto the stage.
"Better late than never Miss Salvatore" One of the judges said down the microphone.
"Sorry" I apologized seeing Klaus walk in.
"As I was saying I'm happy to hold such an amazing competition here and I wish all the contestants luck as we announce the winner" Esther said.
"I'd also like to welcome our former Miss Mystic Falls Caroline Forbes who will be crowning our new Miss Mystic Falls" One of the judges said as Caroline walked onto the stage.
"And our new Miss Mystic Falls is... Miss Ivy Salvatore" Esther faked a smile reading my name out.
I didn't actually hear what she said until Caroline dragged me to the front of the stage and crowned me Miss Mystic Falls. I looked over at my brothers who were running up to hug me. That's when I saw champagne being handed out to everyone and a grin on Esther's face.
"Let's raise a glass to our new Miss Mystic Falls... Ivy Salvatore" Esther smirked watching her family drink the champagne but nothing happened to them.
"Esther and Finn are leaving... follow them" I heard Katherine say.
I walked off the stage and followed Esther and Finn outside with the Mikaelson's, Stefan, Damon, Elena, Katherine, Caroline and Bonnie not noticing Tyler, Matt and Jeremy were following us. They stopped and candles lit up. They were inside some circle thing.
"Did you really think we wouldn't find out what you were going to do Mother?" Klaus shouted to Esther.
"I'm doing this for your own good" Esther shouted back.
"How is this for our own good?" Kol asked.
"You need to trust me" She said.
"I think we're done trusting you. You were the ones who made us like this and now we're not going to die" Rebekah told her.
"You can't stop it dear. You drunk the champagne" Esther said.
"Actually mother... we didn't... we swapped it when you weren't looking" Elijah said.
"Only Finn took the one you gave us" Rebekah said.
"This is down to Ivy isn't it. I told you... you won't win against me... I put something in your drink too" Esther shouted.
"I think I already have. Oh by the way I didn't drink your champagne either... you have really bad taste. Actually I think they mixed up a little and gave you my champagne" I smirked.
"Goodbye mother" Klaus, Rebekah, Kol and Elijah said in sync as we all walked off back to the house.
"Where did Katherine go?" Bonnie asked.
"She's probably getting out while she still can" Rebekah laughed.
"Next time you three want to follow us... Don't!" Damon said turning around to Matt, Tyler and Jeremy.
"Congratulations sis... you were right about Esther and you got Miss Mystic Falls" Stefan smiled hugging me.
"What can I say... I'm unstoppable" I laughed as we all noticed Klaus hadn't been walking with us.
"What's wrong with Klaus?" Caroline asked.
"I'll go check... we'll meet you back in there" I said giving them a reassuring look before walking back over to Klaus.
"Hey... why you still here?" I asked.
"Nothing love. Let's go" He smiled walking off.
"Wait a minute... When we were talking before Caroline interrupted I don't think we got to finish our conversation" I said walking after him grabbing his hand.
"I thought we had finished" Klaus looked confused.
"No we hadn't... whatever this is... I don't want it to end either" I said before leaning in and kissing him.
"I don't think we'll ever finish this conversation" Klaus smirked kissing me back.
"We might have to put it on hold though before they get suspicious" I grinned before we walked back to the house.
I know the Miss Mystic Falls has taken 3 chapters but I didn't just want it all in one chapter. I thought it was time for Ivy and Klaus to have a moment even if it was right at the end.
