Chapter 13
"Ivy Wilde… I didn't think I'd find you in New York again" My friend Kyle said as I met him for lunch.
"I had to get away from everything and make a life of my own" I told him.
"Do I need to know what everything is or who everything is?" He laughed.
"I think you can already guess without me having to tell you" I laughed as well.
"Well it's good to have you back" He smirked.
"It's good to be back" I smiled.
I woke up in a sudden hurry hearing my alarm go off. I rushed to get ready and ran to my car. I sped to school just in time as the school bell went for everyone to get to class.
"You need to stop making a habit of being late Miss Mystic Falls" I heard Rebekah laugh.
"I know I do but it would help if my brothers weren't so brotherly and leave me in bed" I laughed.
"Well if it helps Klaus has been constantly asking me how you are" She told me laughing still.
"Whatever are we going to do with him" I laughed more.
"Could everyone sit down" Alaric told the class.
"I've heard there's a new student coming today" I heard someone say in the front of the class.
"I would like to introduce our new student Kyle Rhodes" Alaric said as my old friend walked through the door.
"He's so fit" I heard one girl whisper to her friend.
"There's a seat next to Ivy Salvatore if you'd like to take it" Alaric pointed out.
"I'd love to Mr Saltzman… thank you" He smirked walking over to me and sitting down.
"Do you know him?" Rebekah whispered.
"Unfortunately… It's not a good thing that he's here… trust me" I whispered hoping he wasn't listening.
"Ivy Wilde… didn't think I'd see you here" He smirked.
"Well I never thought I'd see you again but I guess we don't always get what we want now do we" I hissed.
"Now now… that's no way to treat your old friend" He grinned.
"But you never were a friend were you?" I glared at him.
"You know you need me in your life Ivy" He said.
"The only people I need in my life are the ones I care for and care back and believe me you're not one of them" I told him.
"You don't want to go against me Ivy Wilde… wait it's Salvatore now isn't it… is that to stop everyone finding out who you really were and I think who you still are" He glared.
"If that's the way you want to play it Kyle… that's how we'll play it… and you're the one who doesn't want to go against me" I smirked before walking out the class with everyone else.
"Hey Ivy what was that about? Who is he?" Rebekah asked.
"Who you talking about?" Stefan asked.
"The new guy… Kyle Rhodes" Rebekah answered.
"Kyle Rhodes is here… What does he want Ivy?" Stefan asked.
"How should I know? He turned up here. Whatever it is it can't be good" I said.
"We need all the help on this… Rebekah could you get your brother's together for a meeting and I'll round up everyone else" He said.
"Meet at our house at lunch" Rebekah said.
"What are you doing Stefan?" I asked him.
"Protecting you like I should… especially what he did to you last time" He said.
"I know you want to protect me but this is my fight… I need to deal with this myself before it gets out of hand" I told him.
"Tough… you're not doing this by yourself… come to the Mikaelson's at lunch please" He said hugging me.
"Sure… I'll be there" I smiled hugging him back.
"How long you back for this time?" Kyle asked.
"Hopefully a while. I'm hoping to make a life here. It's the only place I know that's home to me" I told him.
"I heard your club is very popular even with the murder spree there a while ago" He laughed.
"Opening that club was the best decision I ever made" I said.
"It'd be a shame if it got closed or taken from you wouldn't it" He smirked.
"That almost sounds like you're trying to take it away from me" I laughed.
"Of course not… why would I take away the things you love? How's the hunt for you brothers going?" He grinned.
"Better than ever… I just found Damon and I met up with Stefan again. It's just a shame they won't talk to each other" I smiled.
"And have you been meeting up with you know who?" He asked winking.
"You mean Niklaus… I haven't met up with him but I have bumped into him multiple times while on my working trips. It's like he stalks me or something" I laughed.
"Anyway I must be going… you are obviously a very busy woman and I have a meeting with someone. But we must do this again soon" He smirked.
"Defiantly. I'll see you soon" I hugged him.
As we left I saw him cross the road to talk to someone that looked all too familiar… Mikael Mikaelson… he's working with Mikael… I rushed away as soon as I could.
"Wait… you're saying this Kyle guy was working with our father?" Kol asked as I started to tell them what happened.
"That's what she told you isn't it?" Damon got defensive.
"Thank you Damon but I've got it… My eyes weren't deceiving me Kol… I'd already met your father not that long ago. Remember?" I said.
"What did he want with our father?" Eljah asked.
"I don't know. I didn't stop to listen to their conversation" I told him.
"What are we going to do about this?" Matt asked.
"Nothing… we're going to do nothing… at least you're not… I have to deal with him myself" I told them.
"There's no way you're doing this by yourself" Klaus said taking my hand and sitting next to me.
"There's so much stuff you guys don't know about me things that could change your views on me quite easily… none of you would like the person I was or the person I will become around him… I've tried so hard to keep that side of me away… please understand that I need to do this myself" I said hoping they'd listen.
"What could you've done that's worse that what most of us have done?" Rebekah asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Kyle said walking in.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Oh yes sorry for the barging in but I couldn't help overhearing your conversation while walking past… I couldn't help myself… by all means you can try and fight me… I only need one other person to take all you on… there are so many rookies here wouldn't you agree Ivy?" He smirked.
"You know what Kyle?" I said getting up.
"I don't know… why do I know? Apart from the big secret you've been keeping from everyone" He grinned.
"I don't need anyone else to take you and your friend to win but the only reason they want to help is because of feelings you will never know… love… friendship and family… after all you're the one who killed your family just because they said that you couldn't go out that night… you killed your friends because they didn't want to go out drinking… and you killed your one true love because they loved you… see that's the difference between you and me… I can have those feelings and still beat you because I have something to fight for" I told him.
"Aww… how adorable… but you won't win my dear… not against me not while you're a goody two shoes" He laughed.
"Why don't you just get out" Matt said standing next to me.
"Fine I'll go but I look forward to killing you all" He smirked walking out.
"Are you okay?" Klaus asked.
"I'm great… couldn't be better" I said sarcastically.
"Now what's the plan?" Elena asked.
"You guys do what you need to do… I'll be back in a minute… I just have to go meet someone" I said.
"Do you need someone to go with you just in case?" Rebekah asked.
"I won't be that long I'll be fine but you guys should get Alaric to come give training… ill be back before you know it" I said before leaving.
I got in my car to go back to the Salvatore mansion and then drove to the Mystic Grill and walked in and sat at the bar. I ordered my drink as someone came and sat down next to me.
"Can we hurry this up? I'd rather not get hunted down by your hybrid boyfriend" Katherine said.
"Sure… I just need you to find out who Kyle Rhodes is planning on bringing to this fight. I'm pretty sure you can do that" I said.
"Kyle Rhodes is here? Lucky you… I'll do what I can… if you answer me one question... what's with the sudden outfit change? You went from pretty pink princess to the leather and dark" She asked.
"I've been good for so long… it's time for me to be bad" I told her.
"What's that mean?" She asked.
"If it's the only way ill win then the bitch is back" I smirked.
