Chapter 15
Me, Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, Kol, Stefan, Damon, Elena, Katherine, Bonnie, Caroline, Jeremy, Tyler and Matt met up with Alaric and went back to the Mikaelson house to come up with a plan to kill Kyle and Mikael.
"Why did Kyle join forces with you father?" I asked.
"Our father has always wanted to kill our kind and more Niklaus. We have tried to escape him and set up home somewhere but he always manages to find us and we have to run again" Elijah explained.
"But why Kyle of all people?" Caroline asked.
"Ugh, I'm so stupid. Of course Kyle…" I got annoyed.
"Care to elaborate there little sis" Damon said.
"Kyle didn't used to be like this all the time…" I started to tell them.
It was my first time back in New York after my mother died. I walked around and caught a glimpse in a window of a young 14 year old with a high ponytail, she wore this pink dress with pink flats to match almost like a little ballerina. I carried on walking down the street pulling her carriage behind me till I found the number of the house I was going to. I knocked on the door to see a young boy not much older than I was and a woman stood behind him.
"You must be Ivy Wilde… My name is Emily Rhodes this is my son Kyle Rhodes… we're sorry to hear about your mother but we are more than happy to have you live here. Please come in and make yourself at home" she said taking my luggage.
I walked into her house looking around me at the same time.
"This is the kitchen and through there is the Livingroom… I'll take you to your room now so you can officially get settled in. Have you ever been in New York before dear?" She asked.
"Once I came for a week holiday with my mom… we always said how we were going to save up and come back her permanently" I told her.
"Well isn't that sweet… here's your room hope you like it we can always redecorate if you don't" She said walking in.
"It's perfect thank you" I said.
"I'll leave you to settle in… come downstairs when you're ready and Ivy please don't worry I'll take good care of you. You are now and will always be part of this family" She smiled warmly before leaving.
I started emptying my clothes out or what few I had and put them away neatly until I got to the bottom of my bag and found a picture of my mom which I stole from the house as I was getting made to pack up to move.
"Is that your mother?" I turned around seeing Kyle stood in the doorway.
"Yeah… she's beautiful isn't she… was beautiful" I said putting the picture by my bed.
"My mom will be making dinner soon you should probably come downstairs" He said.
"I'm coming now… thank you" I said getting ready to walk out my room.
"I know you don't know me that well but I hope we can be friends" He said.
"I'd like that" I told him.
We walked out my room and headed downstairs to get ready for dinner.
"He was the nicest boy and he was like that for a while… we became like brother and sister. We used to tell each other all our secrets and we never wanted to be away from each other" I told them.
"You were both human of course he was nice most humans are" Katherine yawned.
"How did he become a vampire?" Tyler asked.
"I changed him…" I told them.
"Why did you change him?" Matt asked.
"He asked me to… he wanted it…" I told them.
It had been a month after I turned. I was behind a building feeding on a guy when I heard Kyle talking to someone. I quickly healed the guy and compelled him to forget everything that had just happened. I wiped the blood from my mouth and walked round and walked over to him.
"Ivy… what were you doing behind there?" He asked concerned.
"Oh, nothing it got really crowded and I just need some space" I lied.
"Understandable… hey follow me I've got something to show you" He told me as he grabbed my hand and dragged me off.
"Where are we going?" I asked him as we entered an abandoned building.
"Shh… you trust me right?" He asked.
"Of course I do" I said.
"Then sush and follow me" He ordered.
We walked down so many corridors until we entered a pitch black room.
"Wait here don't move" He told me before running off.
"Kyle… Kyle… Where did you go?" I shouted but had no answer.
I stood where he left me thinking the worse until suddenly the place lit up showing a theatre and I was stood on the stage. I was amazed and started looking around.
"What do you think?" He asked.
"How did you find this place? It's amazing" I said.
"When you disappeared last night I came out to look for you but I couldn't find you. That's when I came across this place… I couldn't wait to show it you but you still weren't there when I got back or this morning when I woke up. Anyway I thought it could be our secret hide out… anytime you need space just come here" He told me.
"I can't believe you found this place… I didn't even think places like this still existed" I said.
"I've been meaning to ask… where are you disappearing to?" He asked.
"Oh you know here and there" I said.
"We promised never lie to each other or keep secrets" He said.
"I know we didn't… I've joined a group of people that prefer to come out at night" I told him.
"What group of people?" He asked.
"About a month ago I was cornered into and beaten really bad close to death and then all of sudden I was fine no bruises or cuts and then I saw the men that hurt me and they noticed they didn't kill me like they thought they had so they stabbed me…" I started to tell him.
"They stabbed you? Surely if they stabbed you then you would be dead" He said.
"I know it doesn't make sense but I was dead you don't live after getting stabbed but I woke up with no wound but I could tell that it happened because my dress was covered in blood and had the stab wound…" I said.
"But you're not dead" He pointed out the obvious.
"What happened next is going to confuse you but I promise I'm not lying… everything got heighted and this man came up to me to see if I was alright and all he had was a tiny cut but to me it smelt like he had been stabbed and I was hungry and next thing you know I'm drinking the poor guy dry" I told him.
"What do you mean? What are you?" He asked slightly worried.
"I didn't know what I was but this group found me and they knew that I was new at this they've been helping me adjust to what I am. They also gave me this ring so I could walk in the daylight" I said showing him the ring.
"What are you?" He asked.
"They told me I'm a vampire" I said.
"Vampires aren't real" He said.
I decided he wasn't going to take my word for it so I decided to prove to him instead I thought it would be the only way he would understand.
"No… you can't be… you're a vampire… how?
" He stuttered.
"I did try and tell you… apparently the first time I got left for dead another vampire fed me their blood and when I got stabbed it was still in my system causing me to turn into a vampire" I explained.
"Does that mean you can turn me into one?" He asked.
"I could but I'm not going to" I said.
"Why not imagine it… you and me against the world… we promised that we would never leave each other's side… I'll die one day leaving you to face the world alone… imagine if we could live forever… brother and sister against the world" He said.
"I can't… I promised myself I wouldn't turn anyone plus you wouldn't have a daylight ring which means if you go out into sunlight you will burn and die" I told me.
"Then I'll stay here until I can get one think about it no windows and no one will find me and then on a night I can go have fun" He said.
"I'm not doing it simple" I said.
I started to walk away so I could get away from him wanting to turn when I smelt blood and not just a little but a lot. I ran back to find Kyle bleeding badly.
"Please help me" He said.
"What did you do?" I asked worried.
"I only meant to do a little cut but I tripped while doing it and you can see what happened" He whispered.
"You'll die if I don't heal you" I said.
"Then you'll just have to live without me" he muttered.
"Not on my watch… drink" I said cutting my arm.
"Thank you Ivy… I promise I won't do it again" He said healing up.
"Good and no more talk about turning either" I said helping him up off the floor.
"I won't mention it again… look at that our first of many memories here" He said walking to the edge of the stage.
"It's not such a great memory to have especially for a first memory… we need to make better memories than this" I said.
"Defiantly and we will right after I do this" He said.
"Do what?" I asked.
"This" He said before falling backwards off the stage snapping his neck.
"KYLE" I shouted.
I ran off the stage to see he snapped his neck on the fall. I picked up his head and put it back into place before resting it on my legs. I waited hours before he finally took a big breath and came around to the life of the living.
"Time to make memories" He smirked.
"You tricked me… you used me to get what you wanted even though I said no to turning you" I snapped.
"I had to figure out a way to join you… I know how stubborn you are once you set your mind to something it doesn't change" He said sitting up.
"Well here's something I didn't tell you… You're going to die anyway…" I said.
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"To complete the transition you have to drink human blood or you die a slow painful death… your choice… I'll be back here in 24 hours and you'll either be dead or vampire but until then don't try and find me" I said.
I got up and walked out the building leaving Kyle there all by himself.
"It was my fault he got turned I fell for his tricks" I told them.
"You can't be blame love" Klaus came and took my hand.
"Klaus is right… It still doesn't explain why he would work with Mikael" Stefan said.
"Because even though I wanted to hate him for what he did I couldn't and I went back to help him I even got him his daylight ring. We used to tear up the streets I'd even go as far as to say we'd paint them red. We weren't the nicest of people and so many innocent people got hurt because of us. He got jealous when I started hanging around with Josh… I started spending more time with him because he was showing me how to take control and be a better and nicer person. Then after the 1920's and everything that happened then knowing Josh was dead he wasn't jealous anymore because he had no one to compete with for my attention anymore" I told them.
"Wow… he sounds like a psychopath" Katherine said.
"Anyway I told him all about how over the time I'd met Kol, Elijah, Rebekah and Klaus… I started to tell him everything again. Then I left New York to deal with some stuff after Mikael killed everyone in the nightclub which is when he and Mikael must've met… I don't think Mikael is working for Kyle I think Kyle was working for Mikael" I said piecing it together.
