Hey guys! I meant to have this up on Friday but the worst thing in the world happened. My auntie, who is staying at my house with her two year old son, broke her leg. I feel so awful because it happened in my own home but she was so calm even though I could tell she was in pain. I guess I should have figured because she's a nurse after all. I have been taking care of my little two year old cousin and my goodness, two years old are wild! Haha but he is so cute so I can't be too mad at him. Its been a long weekend stressful weekend for me but I just had to put the rest of this up for you because y'all deserve it.
Lots of love, Breanna.
Ps. Sorry for any mistakes.

The Adventures of Carlitos: Part 2

Fresh, wet tears strolled down Carlos' cheeks as he thought about his mistake. The mistake he made was lying to Logan about not loving him when in reality, he's all Carlos could have ever wanted. To make things worst, he's been seeing that Kendall guy for the past month even though his heart still clings to thoughts of a certain man. He... Loves the smart man that took his breath away the moment he saw him at the masquerade ball.

Wiping at his betraying eyes, the small Latino pulled himself together a bit before he walked out of the restroom at the fancy restaurant that he and the blonde where eating at. It was the second time they were eating out this week already and it was only Wednesday. Carlos feared Kendall was falling too hard too soon. He's been trying to shower and lavish him with gifts as well as flaunting him off to his friends. Overall, making Carlos feel like an object rather than the person he's interested in or even a person period.

But tonight Carlos would put an end to it because although Kendall may treat him as such, he was still a really nice guy at times and he couldn't let the blonde fall for him when he loved someone else still. Even after being broken up for almost 5 months now. Kendall deserved true happiness and Carlos couldn't give it to him now.

"What's wrong, 'Los? You haven't really touched your food." Kendall asked, putting down his fork and knife. He looked at Carlos almost as if he felt required to and the Latino had to fight from cringing.

"It's nothing, I just... Actually-" Carlos was about to take his opportunity there to break up with Kendall. But he was interrupted when the blonde's phone went off. Kendall looked at him pleadingly and he nodded his head, watching as the other then stood and walked away to take the call.

It was sudden, but something, no someone, caught the corner of Carlos' eye. Turning, he saw the one person who keeps him up at night with thoughts of him. The one person he missed the most and all with all of his heart. Logan.

The smart male was seated at a table with two other people. One, a small, brunette woman and the other a man with shoulder length brown hair, and a guitar next to him . The man and lady seemed to be having their own separate conversation. As for Logan, he seemed to be distracted. But then, he turned and met Carlos' eyes. Warm, chocolate meeting smokey cinnamon as they gazed at each other.

The tension in Carlos' body that he had for the past 5 months seem to melt away as he finally saw the eyes that stole his heart. But it ended too soon as Logan stood up, and excused himself from his friends. The Latino sunk into himself and turned as he realized that Logan clearly couldn't be in the same room as him. His eyes closed tightly as he wished the world would swallow him in that moment.

A couple of minutes pasted, then there was a tap on his shoulder. He assumed it belonged to Kendall. Opening his eyes, he was more than surprised to see that it was not Kendall but Logan. The air in Carlos' lungs escaped him and his month was dry as he tried to say a simple hello. Logan, who knew him so well, knew his predicament and smiled down at him. The same smile that brought the same, familiar rosy tinge to his cheeks.

"Been a while since I've seen or heard from you, Carlitos... Must be doing well with Kendall, huh?" Logan asked calmly but there was a biting edge to his voice. All Carlos could do was stare at him with pleading eyes. Begging Logan to see what he felt he almost couldn't say in that moment. Carlos watched him and for a moment he thought he saw something past in his eyes but it was gone too quick to tell.

The smart man continued, "You know, I've been watching you for the past thirty minutes and I can't help but notice you don't look very happy for someone on a date. Trouble in paradise?" Finished Logan in a smooth voice, making Carlos' body feel like it was short-circuiting and his nerves shot.

"Why would it concern you?" He tried weakly. He heard Logan huff, not seeing it because he turned his attention to his hands in that same moment.

"It doesn't." Came Logan's simple reply. "I just hate to see your intoxicating smile replaced by stoic, fake and tense ones. Gesh, you'd think Kendall would be more observant. It's quite tragic."

'You read me so well. I should have held on tight... Never should have let you go.' Carlos thought to himself as he looked back up at Logan, noticing how open his eyes seemed to be while his body seemed to be holding back from something. "I didn't think you would care anymore." Carlos whispered, his voice felt so raw and exposed even to his own ears as he looked at Logan with big, brown eyes.

"Of course I do. I never stopped." Logan stated just as honest and compelling as Carlos. They both shared a small, intimate moment that set the small flame within them blazoned again. Their was so much yearning in both their eyes.

"I didn't mean it. Whe-when I said-" Carlos started only to be cut of by Kendall clearing his throat. He eyed them suspiciously.

"Logan long time, no see. Am I interrupting something?" Asked the blonde.

"No, not at all Kendall. I was just leaving." Logan spoke evenly as he addressed Kendall before turning soft eyes on Carlos again and giving a small smile to him. "Talk to you soon." It was a hidden promise, and Carlos nodded knowingly. His heart ached as he watched the smart man walk away.

Kendall huffed confused before taking a seat. He decided to just shake the odd situation out of his mind as he turned his eyes back on Carlos. "So Carlos I'm having a small get together this weekend and would be thrilled if you could make it. You can bring a guess, if you like. I know you talk about that one person a lot. Your best friend, Jared right?" Kendall asked nonchalantly. James, he had to tell him James every time he mentioned his friend. Was it that hard to remember. The blonde paused from his meal, taking a sip of red wine before focusing on Carlos expetingly.

"His name is James... Sure." He said finally. All of his courage before left and in its place a cold ache from Logan was reawakened. "That would be nice, thank you." He choked out just wanting to be home already.

"No need to thank me. Check!"

Carlos, James, and many other of Kendall's guest stepped into the blonde's luxurious home. James was on Carlos' left as they made their way to the ballroom. The same room that held the masquerade ball almost a whole year ago. The same ball that introduced Carlos to one of the most amazing person he's ever met.

"Okay, Carlos. First thing first, you have to introduce me to Kendall tonight for sure. He seems to have really great taste in décor." James hummed in approval as he looked around Kendall's home. "And now I'm surprised and appalled that you haven't introduced us now. Literally a couple of hours later, you couldn't wait to talk about Logan. But with Kendall... It always feels like I'm pulling your teeth or something. I don't know. You just don't seem as enthusiastic. Is my inner best friend monitor right?" He asked intently, looking at Carlos with worried eyes and saw that his best friend was biting at his bottom lip nervously. It was then that James thoughts were confirmed. He knew that Carlos still loved Logan.

He moved closer to Carlos and pressed a comforting hand on his back. "Carlos... What are you going to do?"

"I don't even know anymore. Well, I know I'm going to break this... Thing of with Kendall. I've been trying all this week but something always gets in the way." The brown-eyed man said, wishing his life would stop fucking him over. Or maybe, stop himself from doing so to himself.

"Good! But I guess you should wait until tomorrow or after the party." James suggested. Carlos nodded.

"Carlos!" Carlos and James turned over to see Kendall behind them. It was as if time stood still for James and Kendall as they stared at one another. "James right? So nice to meet you."

Carlos noted that that was the first time the blonde actually got his best friend's name right. The Latino held a small smile as he saw the look James gave the blonde. He vaguely thought a part of him should feel jealous, instead he kept thinking how good these two would actually be together.

Clearing his throat, Kendall tore his eyes away from James' hazel eyes and met Carlos' while James blushed lightly as well. "How about you guys go mingle with everyone before we all eat in the dining room."

"Alright. Thank you." Carlos said and James nodded with his eyes downcast. Too afraid to look at the blonde again. However, Kendall wasn't and he stole a quick look at him before walking away.

"Okay, when I break up with Kendall I want you to go for him. And don't even try to deny it, you are smitten." Smirked Carlos, watching James blush more as he gave Carlos a hug.

"I love you, 'Los."

Twenty minutes into the party, Carlos found himself alone. Talking only to a few people on occasion. James had known a lot more people at this party than he because of his family connections. So that meant the tall brunet was out socializing.

Kendall came to Carlos a few times and waved him around people. But like always, Kendall and Carlos were more friendly that romantic with each other. Whenever the blonde would leave, Carlos would notice his eyes searching the room for James, he assumed.

"You look at bit lost." A voice came from behind Carlos. He didn't need to turn around because he already knew who that voice belonged to.

Smiling to himself, he muttered back his reply, "I'm feeling all out of my element."

"Oh... Why's that?" Asked the smart male as he moved to stand in front of Carlos who hadn't turned around to see him.

"I guess I'm... Trying to figure out where the hell I went wrong. Although, I already know the answer, I just thought I knew everything. But truthfully I didn't know nothing." Spoke the Latino slowly. His eyes were closed and he hoped his honesty made Logan realize just what he was saying.

"I know exactly what you mean. I have been regretting so many things for a while now, almost 5 months exactly. I shouldn't have acted the way I did." Replied Logan, whispering the last part. The part that made Carlos' eyes misty and caused his heart to bleed some.

"Oh, sweet love. Don't cry. When you left Carlos, I lost a part of me. I know it's a bit ridiculous and maybe hard to believe because we only shared 7 months with one another but our time together... It was more than I could hope to have with anyone in a whole lifetime. No one could even take your place in my heart. I don't know... I just- We belong together as corny as that sounds." Logan stated with his eyes burning into Carlos' soul. It was crazy how much power both of them have over each other.

"Logan, I love you so much. I should have told you but I was scared. I-I I couldn't move on from my own past insecurities but you are right about me. I know you just wanted to show your support for me. I was just afraid because I was giving myself to you completely and I just, I've never done that before. But with you it felt natural and I wanted to. Our months apart made me see that I can't fathom being where I am at any point in time without your love." Stuttered Carlos, with a shaky breath. The words came out a bit fast but anyone could hear the meaning behind them. In fact, most of the people next to him could hear them and the majority of the room was watching them with baited breath.

Kendall was a couple feet away and he frowned at the scene. His mind going a mile a minute. "I was your rebound?" He asked Carlos, although in his mind he knew the answer. Before Carlos could say anything back however, Kendall walked away from the party. He went up his stairs and to his room. With wide eyes, Carlos looked at Logan for a second before saying he'd be back. Logan nodded in understanding.

As Carlos passed by some of the guest, he noticed they all seemed to be judging him. Going up the stairs quickly, he followed the blonde to his bedroom. "You used me!" Kendall said, back facing Carlos but he knew the other was there.

"No, you have it wrong. I mean, I wasn't over Logan when we started dating those few weeks ago but I was hoping to get over living without him with someone else. It didn't work and I'm sorry I brought this situation on you. But you did the same thing to me too. I know you don't really like me like that as I don't for you. I know you just needed me to get your friends of your case. But I do appreciate this friendship we have going on." Carlos explained and Kendall looked at him with an equally apologetic look.

"I... You're right. I'm sorry too. I hope we can remain friends. You are one of the only people I know that actually seemed to care about me... As a friend, of course." Said the blonde timidly. Carlos smiled warmly at him and nodded.

"Of course, but I think I know one person who you should consider going steady with." Carlos said with a mischievous glint.

The dinner that night went from a possible catastrophe, to a night that brought two soul mates together and one likely couple to form. The other people that attended the party was a bit confused at first but ultimately at the end entertained and sympathized with them. At least Kendall and Carlos came to terms with how they truly felt now and not in an alternative universe where one of them would've been left at the alter.

Carlos and Logan. Their names were written together in the stars and they thank the heavens above that they realized they belonged together.
