Declaimer: I don´t own One Piece nor Harry Potter

A/N: Sorry, I was unable to finish it in time... But on the other hand, I managed to make it longer. XD Enjoy
It was dark, rainy, stormy, incredibly scary as a violent and brilliant lightning struck the forest, ground, windows, doors, bars… whatever it saw and hated, scaring the hell out of the poor children who cried their eyes off in fear and loneliness. They wanted to go home, or at least find some place to hide from the fearsome storm.
The dark castle on the cliff seemed more darkener than usual as lightning hit it again and again. Not even the seventh year students, which were more used to the irregular weather of Hogwarts, managed to stay calm. In the whole castle, not even one person slept well that night. The last time a storm of that magnitude hit them, was about seven years ago… and on that day, they had lost someone really special.
However, unlike the children, and even teachers, there was this one person who seemed to be unfazed by the storm. A dark figure with long dark robes stood on top of a tall, tall tower, the tallest of them all; watching the storm slowly hit the castle. A faint lightning almost hit him, but the old man with long white beard just moved his hand once and it disappeared.
"At least…" He whispered his blue eyes amused. He had been waiting for a natural storm of that magnitude for long… seven years exactly. Collecting power from small storms wasn´t enough. To achieve their goal, they needed more power. And that storm would provide more than half of the power needed.
Closing his eyes, he took out a long wand, pointing it at the heart of the storm. Strange words left his dry lips, being torn out of his mouth by the enraged wind the moment they left it. But it was ok. That violent wind was exactly what he needed.
A light, green light, hit the storm. At first, nothing happened. The storm still roared through the darkness, the people still feared the sound. But then, the world froze. Just for some seconds, little moment of nothing, everything disappeared. There was nothing, there was no one, just silence. Until the storm roared again. And a huge, powerful white lightning hit the man, who only smiled in triumph.
Green eyes opened in the darkness, their owner awake all of sudden, as something seemed to be pulling her leg. That sensation was so real, so scary, that her eyes couldn´t keep shut anymore, she couldn´t continue dreaming without knowing if something was indeed wrong. And so, she opened them without a second thought.
Darkness. Deep darkness was all she saw, darker than the night or even coal. There were no stars, no light, no color, nothing. Just darkness. Darkness and silence. Infinite and hollow silence.
"Reina…" Someone, a fait whisper, called the green eyes girl´s attention. However, it was a voice she couldn't, she wouldn't, she didn't want to recognize. Not now. Not now that she lost all hope. "Reina…" Called the voice again, this time closer. The darkness shifted for a faint moment, a white glow somewhere there, far, far away. "Reina."
As something caught her from behind, cold hands against her warm skin, the girl yelped.
"Oi, what´s wrong?" Someone stated in a small room with bars as Reina woke up startled, her eyes running through their faces in shock and confusion.
It had been only some moments since Luffy noticed something wrong whit her, as she shifted rather uncomfortably in her sleep a lot. And when he tried to touch her, she jumped up for no apparent reason. "Where… are… we?" It was all she managed to ask, shock completely taking over her as she clearly remembered someone grabbing her feet and then shoulders, those cold hands impossible to imagine. It felt so real, so creepy, so… strange.
"Guess." Luffy stated, that stupid grin on his even more annoying than ever face. Couldn´t he see the situation they were in? Wait… situation? Oh god, what had happened?
As memories came back to her, quicker than the sound, she paled. A lot. Because if she didn´t, then there surely would be something wrong with her. They had been caught. By the marine. At the back entrance of the city. "I am so grounded…" She mumbled, shaking her head.
"They sure were smart this time…" Nami said, sitting near the clearly panicking girl. "Scare us with marines at the main entrance to force us to use the back door, and then throw salty water at us to take down the devil fruit users… and then ambush us with more man…." She sighed again, and Reina joined her this time. "By the way, are you also affected by water? You fainted pretty quickly."
Blinking a few times, Reina laughed uncomfortably. "No really. I just can´t stand the heat. I came from a somewhat cold country, so me and head don´t mix that well." Well, she did not lie. Considering the fact out-side was almost 40 degrees, and in England, it snowed and rained… But then again, how could she tell her that she fainted because her head to hurt like crazy all of sudden? Nope, not good idea.
"That is the most amazing part! She has magic and sea water doesn´t affect her!" Luffy´s loud voice almost startled the poor girls, but they managed to keep quiet, too prideful to yelp. "Devil fruits are cool and all, but magic is so much cooler!"
"Oh, shut up!" Reina hit him, not wanting the topic to go that way. However, lady luck seemed to have abandoned her that day, as Nami insisted.
"Haven´t you thought about giving her a devil fruit?" The orange haired woman asked curious, not noticing the death glare emerald eyes sent her.
"Nope, never." Ace joined the conversation, and Reina shifted uncomfortable. "We don´t know how it will affect her. In the worst case, she can die." His black onyx eyes locked on her, who refused to look guilty.
Not that it was working that well. Considering the fact her brain decide it was nice to bombard her with guilty thoughts. But she was alright! She did not die, nor became weird or anything… Yes, she ate a devil fruit, not that she had known she did it before strange things happened; and yes, she went against their wished and yes, they would be pissed as her if they knew… But was it really her fault?
"Anyway." Looking away, worried her eyes would betray her as they did so many times, the girl decided to rather think of a way to escape. Yes, she rather would think about that… or else the truth might escape her lips. Her tightly sealed lips, for now. She wasn´t ready to die yet… well, at least her ears weren´t. "How are we supposed to get out of here?"
The group sighed. That sure was a problem. "The door is locked, Sanji´s feet are chained, Zoro´s swords were taken away, Luffy and Ace can´t touch it, Nami is not a fighter, nor is Vivi; and I don´t have my bombs." Usopp kindly resumed the current situation, already thinking of the worst possible scenarios. "We are fried."
The silence took over the group again. They had no way out… apparently. "Well, I can take care of the door problem. " Reina stated with a smile, confusing everyone else. They forgot something really important: she was a wizard.
How long had it been since she first saw Hermione use that spell? Years, many, many, many years… years that felt like eternity, as if it all happened in other life. Even so, she still remembered it like it was yesterday. In addition, she would remember it forever and ever, a small piece of her memory she refused to let go.
Touching the chains around Sanji´s legs, she mumbled a fain "Alohomora", fighting against the memories, and maybe even tears. It wasn´t time to get lost in the past.
As the chains opened, Reina quickly approached the door, ignoring the "uau´s" and "Amazing" coming from behind her. She had one important job, so she better do it right.
Touching the bars, she started to feel somehow tired. That worried her. However, she had no time to worry at the moment, opening the door. She would think about it later. "Quickly, we need to move." She stated, removing her hand from the cold bars. And magically, as soon as her skin broke the contact, all tiredness disappeared.
Staring worried at it she almost was left behind. "Come on." Usopp said, pushing her in front of him. "If they catch us now, who knows what will happen." The girl nodded, rather unfocused in his opinion. Well, not that it was his problem or anything.
"Hey, Usopp, what did you mean by Ace and Luffy can´t touch the bars?" He looked at her for a moment wondering if she was kidding, but her strangely serious and worried expression made him sigh.
"It´s because they are devil fruit users. What means they cannot go into seawater or touch Kairoseki, a sea stone. Their powers are drained, making them really, really weak… You didn´t know this?" She shook her head, and he just sighed. "I can explain you everything about it after… when we escape this place." Reina smiled thanking him. He was right; they would talk about it later.
As their attention turned back to the escape part, they noticed something was wrong. Everyone else in their crew was gone, except Luffy who also started around confused. And the most strange part was that there was only one path to follow.
"A…. What just happened?" Reina asked confused, looking around. Because really, unless they had an invisibility coat, where did they disappear too? And apparently, she wasn´t the only one asking herself that question, as Luffy started at the floor frozen.
"The floor…" Her brother mumbled his eyes still on the apparently normal floor. "The floor opened and they all feel… That was so COOL!" Rolling her eyes, Reina run forward toward the place he pointed, examining it carefully.
Now that she paid attention, you could see a faint line coming from one side of the walls to another. And maybe if not for the fact they just disappeared, she would never have noticed it. "There are traps here." She said, gaining both boys´ attention. "We need to be carfu…"
Before she had the chance to finish her sentence, Luffy leaned against the wall, trigging something. The loud click startled everyone, but only Reina realized what just happened as the walls opened all of sudden, and a net was thrown at them, dragging them somewhere. In the middle of the process, she managed to hit her head somewhere, fainting while struggling to get out. Not that she managed. Not that anyone managed.
When she woke up, for the second or third time that day, the first thing she wanted to do was curse. Her head hurt like crazy, but maybe she was lucky. If she had trained her new powers more, she would have gave herself away completely. How strange would it be to see someone´s head transform into water? Pretty strange for sure…
However, now that she was awake, she wanted to curse even more. Once again, they were locked in some kind of cage. Nevertheless, this time it was only Luffy and her, Usopp having disappeared somewhere. "Damn." She mumbled, trying to wake up Luffy. Whoever brought them there wasn´t in the room, what gave them an opportunity to escape. "Luffy, come on… I have meat!"
"Meat!" Jumping up, eyes huge looking for food, Reina deadpanned. Only he would have up at the notice of food. Only he… "Wait, where is the meat?" Oh, maybe he would get angry and destroy that cage? He seemed to gain supernatural powers every time it came to food, so…
"There is none." She interrupted him before he had the chance to do a thing." We need to get out of here and find the others." Touching the cage bars, which started to drain her powers once again, she opened it and stepped out. Thanks god her magic powers were not affected by that…
Nodding, Luffy ran after her, but only after making her promise she would buy him meet later. Luffy and his meet… Honestly, they should just marry and live a happy life together. "Let me see…" the dark haired girl mumbled, looking around for a way out. "There is only one door. Let´s take that one."
As they run towards it, the door suddenly opened and two people entered. Grabbing Luffy´s hand, she pushed him into the shadows, putting a hand on his mouth. They needed to escape, and not get caught who knows by who.
"Are you sure they are Straw Hats?" A male voice resounded through the room, authoritarian and cold. "Then I was lied too… Pathetic." A fist hit something, making Reina jump a little bit. That person sounded really angry… wait, she had heard that voice somewhere!
"It appears they lost." And she knew that voice too! Oh no, she really didn´t want to find them there… "However, now that they are here, there is no need to worry about them anymore." Yup, she knew that voice.
The male was Crocodile and the female was Sun! Reina had expected to meet them soon, but not this soon! They were all separated! That was not the best way to start a journey. "Where are they?" Crocodile asked, and the silence followed his voice. "I asked you, where are they?"
"Oh… It appears they escaped." Sun stated, her voice suddenly more amused than anything. Now that Reina thought about it, she had insulted Crocodile in a letter and with words too… Now she really hopped he did not bear a grudge against her.
"Don´t stand there laughing!" He yelled. "Find them right now!" No, no, no! She couldn´t find them. If she did, they would die! And Reina really wanted to marry and have kids before she joined her parents…
Slowly backing away towards the wall, hopping Sun wouldn´t notice their shadows, she cursed mentally when Luffy hit something. "Ups." Her stupid older brother mumbled smiling annoyingly as the floor opened beneath them and they fell.
"I so hate you right now!" Reina yelled as they fell down, hugging Luffy as if her life depended on it. And considering they were falling down really, really fast, it may be that it depended.
"Boss, I found them." Sun chuckled while looking at the hole in her floor, grinning even more as Crocodile jumped after them. Well, he was made of sand, so he would survive… Sighing, she slowly began to make her way down too, but using a more reliable and less painful method: elevator.
The moment they hit the floor, or more like the sand, and it was Luffy who hit it; Reina began running towards the source of wind. Crocodile would go after them, and if her source of information was right, he controlled sand!
"Hurry up!" She asked Luffy, but she knew it was too damn late when a small sand storm hit them, throwing them towards the middle of a clearing. "Damn…" Lifting herself up, she looked back in hatred and worry. Just as she predicted, Crocodile was there.
That man was tall, with wide chest, broad shoulders, muscular arms and legs, and a rather thick neck. No really, that neck was too thick. It was like his head was part of it… or maybe it was just the perception she had, looking at him from bellow. Anyway, his skin was rather pale, deep black-purple hair neatly slicking back. However, what most impressed Reina was the long stitched scar above his nose that stretched across his face, as well as one of the hands, which was replaced with a hook. Who did he think he was, Capitan James Hook from Peter Pan?
Well, it didn´t really matter. Not now, when they were facing a real crisis. "He is Crocodile…" The ex-wizard whispered, watching amazing as Luffy´s expression changed from confused to serious. However, she knew Luffy would never win against that man, at least not now…
"Stay behind me…" Luffy mumbled. "And when you see a chance, run." But of course that idiot would think about her first. He always did it. Even when they were just children running from mad tigers and crocodiles… oh, what a coincidence! They used to run away from crocodiles too! And even eat them! Smirking, Reina found it hard not to laugh, ignoring completely what was going on in front of her. Not that it was easy, but she somehow managed to do it.
""We should eat crocodile meet again…" She mumbled, and something hit her in the face. And she sure was lucky it did, otherwise she would have missed the opportunity to help Luffy and he would have died. Crocodile stood near a completely drained Luffy, a creepy smile on his face, his hook pointed at him ready to pierce the boy´s heart… But something stopped him. Or more correctly, someone.
Out of nowhere, a water wave hit the Shichibukai, who flew a few meters away from the unconscious boy. It was cold as ice, completely out of place in a desert. His dark eyes searched the place, looking for a barrel or something like that, but all he could see were enraged green eyes. "Don´t you dare…" The woman, or more like girl, stated in a low and angry voice, her eyes betraying the anger she was feeling.
Crocodile stared at her for a few moments, before jumping up. His clothes were wet, and he could feel his body heavier, but that was all. That woman hadn´t wounded him, nor was in any condition to do so. Wherever that water had come from, there was none anymore to be used against him. And as far as he knew, there were no devil fruits capable of controlling water in its liquid state.
"And what will you do against it, little girl?" Crocodile asked victorious, slowly walking back to finish his job. That child had angered him, and those who did so had to die. "You have no power; you have no means to stop me… so why should I listen?" Yes, she was just a week peasant.
However, that girl just narrowed her eyes. She did not answer him, nor made any moves… and yet, another wave hit him out of nowhere, this time almost slicing his head off. "What the…" He mumbled, and another wave of water came out of nowhere, against almost hitting him again.
"Crocodile, Mr. 0… You control the sand, as you ate the Sand-Sand Fruit." The woman stated to his surprise, and he looked up to see the same emerald eyes staring at him. "Only weakness: water. Your sand becomes too thick and heavy, and people become able to hit you and even slice you." His eyes grew a little bit, surprise and worry betrayed. "And that makes me, Mr.0; your biggest enemy."
As the lifted one hand up, dark clouds appeared on top of them, heavy rain falling quickly and with no mercy. "And you, Crocodile… Angered one really unstable wizard."
A/N: So, in case you are wondering, my test went well... but the pressure and lack of time made me do some stupid mistakes... XD I wrote the formula right, and then forgot to subtract one little thing... -.- I know, no comments...
I am sorry I wasn´t able to finish in time, but when I came home, I went to sleep... and then when I almost was falling asleep, I realized I had somewhere to go... and then I came back and the bed called me with such a sweet voice I just gave in. Oh, and Saturdays are my house-cleaning days, so unless I am in good mood, nothing is written in that day. XD (unless I already started it and was about to finish...)
Anyway, thank you everyone for reviewing and commenting and see you next time :)
