Forgot to put this note on the last chapter because I am dumb. But I just wanted to say I'm so happy that you've stuck with this story through major chunks of time without an update. I'm not saying they won't happen anymore, but they won't be nearly as frequent or long. And without further ado, onto the net chapter!

"Chloe, can you come in here, please? I need your help zipping up my dress." Aubrey yelled from Chloe's bedroom to her girlfriend who was getting ready in the bathroom.
"Yeah, for sure," the redhead said cheerily as she came out of the bathroom in just her boxers and bra. "Wow Bree, that dress looks amazing on you. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen anything so sexy in my life." Chloe muttered against Aubrey's shoulder before trailing a few light kisses towards her neck as the redhead's arms snaked around her waist.
Aubrey let out a sigh as she examined herself in the mirror, paying particular attention to her middle. "I just hope my parents don't notice my weight gain. Although they probably won't if I have a few giant hickeys on my neck," Aubrey said as she playfully eyed her girlfriend in the mirror.
"Sorry babe, I can't help it. You're just so sexy," Chloe said while licking her lips as she continued to shamelessly ogle her girlfriend.
"Yeah, well you've got another six months minimum of this, so would you please get dressed? I don't want my parents' first impression of you to be that you make me late," Aubrey chastised as she grabbed a sweater to help conceal her belly.
Chloe couldn't help but smirk, "Only late for your period."
The smirk on Chloe's face disappeared quickly as she moved to doge the high heel being chucked at her.

"Aubrey darling, how are you?" Mrs. Posen greeted her daughter when she and Chloe walked through the door of the restaurant.
"I'm good, Mom. Um, this is my girlfriend, Chloe," the blonde said nervously, motioning to the redhead behind her.
"Hell Mrs. Posen, it's nice to meet you. I've heard such great things about you and the Colonel." Chloe said in her most proper tone as she extended her hand.
"Oh, I wish I could say the same about you." Chloe's face briefly fell before Mrs. Posen continued. "Aubrey has been so secretive about you. We only just found out this week that you're a ginger."
Aubrey wrapped an arm around her girlfriend's waist. "Come on Mom, stop embarrassing me," she lightly reprimanded.
Mrs. Posen simply waved her hand in response, "Oh, stop being so sensitive and let's go find your father, he's at the bar."
The three women made their way to the bar area, walking up to a tall, well built blonde man ordering a double Tanqueray and tonic. When his drink was delivered, Colonel Posen turned and let a small spread across his face. "Aubrey, it's great to see you," the Colonel said in a gruff, but affectionate tone as he pulled his daughter into a half hug, never putting his drink down.
The hug threw Aubrey at first, she could count on one hand the number of times she had seen her father hug anyone, but quickly recovered and wrapped her arms around him. "Hi Dad, it's good to see you too," the blonde said nervously as she thought about what she and Chloe were about to tell him and Mrs. Posen.
When she pulled out of the hug, Aubrey nervously motioned to the redhead, "Dad, this is my girlfriend, Chloe. Chloe, this is my father, Colonel Henry Posen."
Colonel Posen turned his attention to Chloe, his expression hardening as he took in the girl standing in front of him. After a minute of studying Chloe, Colonel Posen extended his right hand for the redhead to shake, which Chloe enthusiastically took with a smile, happy to no longer have his critical gaze on her. "It's very nice to meet you Chloe," the Colonel said in an even tone.
"You as well, sir. Aubrey really respects you."
It happened so fast that they couldn't be sure, but all three women could have sworn they saw the beginnings of a smile spreading across his face before he caught himself and went back to his military trained neutral expression.
The group was seated at a table 15 minutes later, Aubrey between Chloe and her mother and across from her father. Chloe and Colonel Posen were animatedly discussing how great they thought the Falcons were going to be the upcoming season, despite the fact that training camp was still four months away. Aubrey smiled at how easily Chloe fit into her family, making her believe for just a moment that things could work out.
"Aubrey, why don't you take your sweater off, it's hot in here," Mrs. Posen suggested.
"I'm ok Mom, I'm kind of cold actually," Aubrey politely declined as started scanning the menu, trying to find something that could work to temporarily satisfy her overwhelming craving for a bean and cheese burrito.
"Oh Aubrey, I don't by that for a second. Your face is red and your forehead is starting to sweat. I don't understand why you don't just admit you're hot and take it off," Mrs. Posen said with exasperation.
"I'm fine, Mom," Aubrey said sternly.
"Honestly Aubrey, you're being ridiculous like you're trying to hide a baby bump," Mrs. Posen said offhandedly.
The comment was meant to be a joke, but it was enough to drain the color from Aubrey's face and put panic in Chloe's eyes. The couple exchanged a few glances, silently debating whether or not to confirm the comment.
Colonel Posen caught the end of the silent battle the couple was having when he finished looking at the menu. "Something wrong?" He asked suspiciously.
Despite the death glare Aubrey was giving her, Chloe decided there was no point in delaying the inevitable. "No, nothing's wrong. Aubrey and I were just discussing when to tell you the good news."
Colonel and Mrs. Posen eyed Chloe curiously before turning to Aubrey, trying to figure out what the good news could be, then looked back to the redhead. "Go on," the Colonel urged.
Chloe grabbed Aubrey's hand before excitedly announcing, "Aubrey's pregnant! You're going to have a granddaughter in the fall!"
The announcement elicited three separate reactions from the Posens. Mrs. Posen's eyes went so wide it looked like they were going to pop out of her head. Colonel Posen's face was beat red and his mouth kept opening and closing, trying to say something but words of any kind failed to come out. Aubrey's face was whiter than their tablecloth and beads of sweat were beginning to roll down her face.
Eventually, Mrs. Posen regained her composure and was able to break the awkward silence. "Aubrey, you never told us that you were bisexual."
"What?" Aubrey and Chloe both asked at the same time, clearly confused.
"Aubrey obviously had sex with a man, making her bisexual, and got pregnant," Mrs. Posen explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Chloe was about to explain, but stopped when Aubrey shot her a look and mouthed, "Let me," to her with warning in her eyes. "Mom, Dad, I didn't have sex with a man. Chloe is intersex, there was a misunderstanding about the birth control I was taking at the same time, and I got pregnant." Aubrey explained calmly, but sternly before getting angry, "I would really appreciate if you stop trying to belittle my sexual orientation at every turn. I'm a lesbian. I have never had any interest in men and never will, it's time to just accept it. Oh and I also don't appreciate you insinuating that I cheated on Chloe, you know I've been with her since October, meaning I would have been having this supposed sex in the time I was with Chloe. I would never cheat on anyone, which you should know because you raised me with honor and dignity. I can't believe you would think I would ever do something so despicable," Aubrey practically growled out of frustration at the whole situation.
Colonel Posen was glaring at Aubrey during her entire speech and showed no signs of faltering when she stopped. "How dare you speak to your mother and I like that. We gave you everything, despite your constant failure. We accepted you when you came out as a lesbian. We bit our tongues when you turned down Dartmouth to go to Barden. Then when you got to the sorry excuse for a safety school, you joined an acapella group instead of doing an internship with a law firm. We accepted all of these decisions, but this is too much. We won't sit by as our money funds your throwing away your future because you got pregnant by whatever the Hell you said Chloe is."
Aubrey stood up, drawing the attention of numerous other tables, the anger in her eyes matching her father's. "You think I'm a failure, I get it. Do you know how I know that? Because you've told me every chance you've gotten. I used to take it because I thought it was better to have family around, regardless of how unhappy you made me. Now I have a beautiful girlfriend, who happens to be intersex, who loves me and a baby girl on the way who will love me because I'm going to love her unconditionally and respect the decisions she makes because it's here life and she has the right to be happy. Let's go, Chloe," Aubrey said as she grabbed her girlfriend's hand and led her out of the restaurant to the car.
It had been 10 minutes since they got in the car and nothing had been said. Chloe drove them back to her apartment while Aubrey sat in the passenger seat, staring angrily ahead. They had pulled into their designated parking spot and Aubrey got out without a word. Chloe sighed sadly as she took the keys out of the ignition and followed her girlfriend to the apartment and unlocked the door to let them in. Aubrey immediately went to the bedroom and stripped down to her underwear before climbing into bed.
Chloe stood in the doorway, unsure of what to do. So much had happened that evening that there was no way to possibly know what was weighing most on Aubrey's mind.
Deciding to find out so she could try to help, the redhead followed the blonde's lead before joining her in bed. "Babe, talk to me," Chloe said gently wrapped her arms around her waist and gently rubbing her belly.
"You were there, my parents told me I always have and always will be a disappointment and they want nothing to do with me," Aubrey said bitterly.
"Yes, I know. Like you said, I was there. I'm wondering how you're feeling after all of it. Do you regret anything you said?" Chloe prompted.
Aubrey turned so she was facing Chloe. "Honestly, no. I've spent my entire life going of my way to try to make my parents happy, only to always have my accomplishments belittled. So eventually I started doing things for myself, which is why I chose Barden and acapella. I never took a step out of line when I was growing up and now that I made a mistake that I'm handling, and ultimately don't regret, they jump on me and attack you? No, I don't regret why I said because I stand by every word of it." The blonde said with more passion than she had started with as she started thinking about just how pissed she was at for how they had treated her all her life.
"So you're ok if this fallout is permanent?" Chloe asked.
"I'm not apologizing for my feelings," Aubrey said defensively.
"That wasn't what I asked," Chloe pointed out.
Aubrey took a deep breath before letting out a heavy sigh as her face fell. "I don't know. I wasn't able to see past anything other than finally getting out 18 years of frustration. I definitely meant everything I said, and it certainly felt good to finally tell my parents how much they've scarred me all growing up. The only thing I regret is losing my composure like that. I know they technically started it, but still, I never thought that when I did finally confront my parents that I would sink to their level and just angrily spout off all the shit they did and said that hurt me over the years."
"Frankly, I didn't think that anything you did was out of line. They've put you through a lot of emotional turmoil growing up, so it was only a matter of time before you finally told them off. I understand them being defensive, it's never easy to hear what people don't like about you. That's also why I completely support your decision to leave. They weren't actually going to hear anything you said. I think some time away from each other will be a good thing. You can all have a chance to cool down and reflect on what was said. Then later, you can decide if you want, you can call them or they'll call you and you can talk then. That's just my opinion," Chloe said humbly.
Aubrey nodded as she considered what her girlfriend was suggesting. "That sounds reasonable. I really hope everything works out. They are my parents and I do love them. Plus, I'd hate for my kids to grown up and never know their grandparents.
Chloe nodded in understanding as her eyes welled up in tears. The blonde immediately regretted what she said and pulled the redhead in for a brief hug. "I'm sorry Chlo, I'm so inconsiderate. I didn't even think about the fact that your mom had passed away. Please forgive me?"
"Of course Bree, I know you didn't say it to be malicious." Aubrey could tell that Chloe still had a lot on her mind, but didn't know how to bring it up. "Spill, Beale." Aubrey demanded.
Chloe looked up at the blonde, confusion in her eyes, "What do you mean?"
Aubrey rolled her eyes, "Don't play coy with me, I know something's on your mind. I'm your girlfriend and went to help you through any problems you're having, so spill."
The redhead let out a sigh of defeat before explaining what was bothering her. "I've been thinking about trying to find my biological parents. Since my mom died, I've literally become an orphan, which is tough. I know they gave me up for a bullshit reason, but that was almost 19 years ago. I think I owe it to myself and our baby to at least try to get in contact with them. It's possible that they haven't changed and they still want nothing to do with me, but if there's a chance that our baby will have another set of grandparents, then it's a risk I have to take."
The blonde tucked a stray hair behind Chloe's ear. "Babe, I appreciate the sentiment, but they gave up a perfectly happy, healthy baby girl because of a small physical difference. Ok, not small. Biggest difference ever." Aubrey clarified when Chloe shot her an unimpressed look. "Anyway, there's a chance that your biological parents have changed, but if they're anything but accepting and supportive, I don't want them in our lives. Are we agreed?"
The look in Aubrey's eyes told Chloe that point was not negotiable. The redhead forced herself to offer up a small smile and nod. "Oh, totes. Our baby deserves the absolute best support system and if they don't plan on fitting into that, they can fuck off."
Aubrey nodded in satisfaction before turning back around. "Now, get to spooning woman," she said over her shoulder.
Chloe did as she was told, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, resting her left hand on her hip and right hand on her bell, a small smile spreading across her face. "I can't wait until she starts kicking."
Aubrey sighed, "Me too. I feel like when most people see me they think I'm getting fat. If I didn't know any better I'd think so too. This is 15 pounds more than I've ever weighed in my life."
"Awe, don't be so hard on yourself. You're pregnant. Gaining weight is good for the baby. Plus, I think you're sexy regardless of your weight. In fact, I think I might have a bit of a pregnancy kink." Chloe said as she started kissing the blonde's neck and moved her hand to smack her ass.
"Come on Chlo, cut it out. We have to get up early tomorrow so can make plans for when the baby is born." Aubrey said unconvincingly as she tried to shrug her girlfriend off.
"What better way to fall asleep than after some vigorous sex and multiple orgasms?" Chloe said as she rocked her hips into her girlfriend's ass.
"Make it fast," Aubrey said as she turned around to face her girlfriend.
"Yes dear," was all Chloe said before her mouth became occupied by a heated kiss.
The next morning, Chloe was pulled out of her slumber by a hand shaking her shoulder. The redhead groaned and turned over onto her stomach, pulling the covers over her head.
Aubrey was far from amused. She roughly pulled the covers from her girlfriend's body before shaking her even harder. "Come on, Chloe, it's time to wake up. We have a lot of details and plans to make for next year before Bellas rehearsal and the library. I don't want to hear any excuses about being too tired, it was your idea to have sex before bed so it's your fault that you tired yourself out."
Chloe groaned and turned back over, cracking an eye open. "Fine, ok. I'm up."
"Good. Put some clothes on and meet me at the kitchen table," the blonde said sternly before turning to leave.
When Chloe made her way into the kitchen and found Aubrey sitting at the table, papers covering the entirety of the table while she was typing something into her laptop. "Whatcha working on?"
Aubrey didn't even look up. "Budget for next year."
The redhead sat down as worry came over her. "How's it looking?"
"Not good."
"Can you be more specific?"
"To be safe, I'm budgeting $15,000 for everything we'll need for the baby, to be safe. As you know, this place is $400 a month with utilities so that'll be $4800. I'm budgeting a babysitter at $10 per hour when we need it to study or have overlapping classes. Tuition and books will be about another $15,000 for each of us. I'm budgeting $75 for groceries each week and $2,500 for emergencies so that alone brings us to about $57,500."
"Bree, I'm on a full scholarship, remember?"
A confused glare took over the blonde's face before turning to relief and crossing some things out. "I totally forgot about that. So we're down to $42,500 conservatively."
Chloe nodded as she let the number roll around. "Ok, so that's less than ideal, but it's definitely doable. I still have a lot of my inheritance money left. I'd like to save that money for a house when we graduate in a few years. I'm sure we'll both work this summer and make some money to save up. I'm sure we'll make close to enough combined to cover the cost." The redhead stopped and seriously considered if she should ask the question that had popped in her head. "What's the status with your college savings? Is it still controlled by your parents? If it is, we have to be prepared and maybe start looking for some scholarships for you to apply for. You know, incase things with your parents don't resolve before tuition is due."
"I was given access to my trust fund to pay for college when I turned 18, but I don't get sole control over it until I turn 25, so they could cut me off from it." Aubrey said nervously before looking up at Chloe with panic in her eyes. "They wouldn't do that to me, would they? They wouldn't cut me off from the money I need to support the baby until I graduate, right?"
Chloe let out a heavy sigh as she pulled Aubrey into a hug. "I honestly don't know, Bree. I only met them briefly yesterday and it didn't go well. I think you should call whoever you have to tomorrow morning and find out if there's anything you can do to move that money into an account that you have sole control over. And I mean like first thing in the morning before your parents can do anything."
Aubrey nodded in agreement before looking at her watch and packing all of her spreadsheets and laptop up. "We should probably get ready for rehearsal. Jane finds us annoying enough as is, the last thing we need is to anger her by being late." The blonde leaned in to give her girlfriend before standing up and making her way into the bedroom.
When she was sure the blonde couldn't see her, Chloe closed her eyes and started rubbing her temples, a single tear running down her cheek before shaking everything out and slapping a smile on her face. Things were starting to get overwhelming, but she had to be there for Aubrey and their baby when she was born. It was the only option for her.
