Quinn woke up with a groan when a very loud alarm started blaring at 6:15 in the morning. The blonde was half asleep again when someone started violently shaking her awake. "Wake up Chika! It's your first day so we have a lot of shit to do before breakfast."

Still not wanting to wake up, Quinn pulled the blanket over her head in hopes that whoever woke her up would forget about her if she was out of sight. The blonde quickly figured out that wouldn't be the case when she felt the covers being ripped off of her. Quinn groaned as she admitted defeat and opened her eyes. The cheerleader's annoyance quickly became a gasp of lust as she took in the girl standing above her. She was a girl of Hispanic decent with Raven hair, plump lips, and captivating eyes.

The blonde didn't even realize that she had been staring for an unacceptably long amount of time until her roommate started clapping inches from face in an effort to break Quinn out of her trance. "Come on Blondie, you're awake now. Go get ready. Breakfast is at seven and I have to take you to the school store to get everything you're gonna need and give you quick tour."

The Latina was not impressed with how long it was taking her roommate to grasp what they had to do, even after she had spelled It out in perfect English. A combination of sleepiness and her general no nonsense attitude pushed her to grasp Quinn's wrist to pull her out of bed and push her toward the small closet space, "Put on something you would wear to church. You don't have a uniform yet and I'm not serving detention because you're underdressed." The Latina barked as she pulled the shower curtain hanging from the rod on the wall shut to give the blonde some privacy.

At this point Quinn was as awake as she could be at the early hour and all she could think was how beautiful her roommate was. The blonde was certain this was the most beautiful girl in the world and one of the most intimidating, but being a Fabray, Quinn wasn't going to show it. When she was dressed, the blonde walked back into the main part of the room and was immediately pushed out the door by her roommate. "What the Hell," Quinn practically growled, "I didn't even get a chance to brush my teeth."

"I told you we had a lot to do and you chose to take your sweet precious time getting dressed. We have a short break after breakfast for you to finish getting ready."

The girls were silent on the rest of their walk to a small room filled with textbooks and other school supplies and a small, elderly woman behind the counter. The Latina approached her in a manner drastically different from how she had spoken to Quinn five minutes earlier. "Good morning Sister Iola, how are you today?"

The nun smiled warmly back at the Latina. "Good morning, Santana. God is still good to me. I see you have a new roommate."

"I do. Lauren wasn't gone eight hours before they found a replacement."

Sister Iola turned to Quinn and asked, "What's your name dear"

"My name is Quinn."

"That's a lovely name. I assume you're here because you need books for your classes. Don't worry, all of the costs for your textbooks have already been taken care of. You'll need a Bible and religion book, a math book, a chemistry book, all of the novels for English, and a history textbook."

The woman began stacking the books in Quinn's arms and before long the books were up to the blonde's chin. "Come on Blondie, let's get those books back to our room. We only have 10 minutes to get a tour in before breakfast starts."

"I don't appreciate being called Blondie. It's degrading and I have a name that you know. I would appreciate it if you would use it." Quinn stated firmly.

Santana didn't respond, she just rolled her eyes and led her roommate back to their room. Quinn put her books down on her bed and followed the brunette o see where her classes were. The tour was relatively quiet. The only time Santana spoke was to point out a room Quinn had a class in.

When the tour was over, Santana led Quinn to a small room in the parish that served as a dining room during meals and a multi-purpose room during class. "Come on Quinn let's go get our breakfast and find somewhere to sit. You can sit with me and my friends until you make some of your own."

Quinn chose to ignore her roommate and followed her into the kitchen where she had the choice between toast and a piece of fruit. For the first time in three years, the blonde opted to have two pieces of white bread with peanut butter. What was the point of being miserable if she couldn't have carbs?

With her toast, Quinn made her way to Santana's table of six and sat between Santana and a boy with platinum blonde hair. The Latina didn't even turn her attention from her own breakfast before announcing, "Everyone, his is Quinn, my new roommate. Quinn, this is everyone."

The blonde was given a curt nod of acknowledgement by the rest of the table, which she returned. The table was relatively quiet while they ate. A red head seated across from Santana was the first to break the silence, "Did you hear that math got cancelled today."

Santana quirked an eyebrow at the girl that signaled she should continue speaking. "You know after someone is "cured" or someone new comes they get really excited about the treatment. Seeing as we've had both in a 24 hour period, James is cancelling regular classes to have an entire day of reflection and group prayer."

Everyone let out a collective groan, including Quinn. The blonde was used to an hour long Mass every Sunday and taking a few minutes to pray every night. The idea of praying all day for God to change who she is? Quinn knew she was in over her head.

Santana noticed the cheerleader's change in demeanor and stood up, "Quinn and I have to go get her books, Sister Iola wasn't there before breakfast. We'll see you guys later."

The rest of the group said vague good-byes before returning to their morning gossip, allowing the blonde and the Latina to make an easy exit. Santana pulled Quinn by the wrist all the way back to their room. The blonde gave her roommate a tough, questioning look. To her surprise, Santana looked sympathetic, not sarcastic. "I know this whole thing is over-whelming. Everyone here knows what you're going through. I'm not going to sugar coat it, today isn't going to be easy and it takes a while to come to terms with all of it, but you'll get through it, I promise."

At five o'clock, the girls were done with school activities for the day and were allowed back to their rooms to freshen up before dinner. It took all of Quinn's strength to not start crying until she got back to her room. When she finally made it back to her room, the blonde was bawling her eyes out before her body even hit the mattress.

Quinn's head was so overrun with anger and wondering how people who were supposedly Christians could be so hateful that she didn't even hear Santana enter the room.

"Quinn?" The Latina tried quietly.

When the crying didn't stop, Santana walked over to her roommate's side and gently shook her shoulder, "Quinn?"

The blonde came to consciousness with a start. Not wanting to appear weak, Quinn held back her tears and looked Santana directly in the eye. "Please can you just leave me alone until dinner? It was a rough day than I was expecting."

To the blonde's surprise, the Latina didn't respond with sarcasm, but the same genuine sympathy as after breakfast. "I know. Today was tough for all of us, especially considering it was your first day. If you want to skip dinner, I'll cover for you, but chances are no one on the staff is going to notice."

"I'll skip dinner tonight."

Santana nodded and made her way to the door until she heard her name being croaked from across the room. The Latina turned around to a teary eyed Quinn who used all of her will power to say, "Thank you."

Santana gave a small nod before responding "You're welcome" and left the room.
