Dennis woke up with a headache. He groaned and sat up. He felt hard inbetween his teeth and gums. He spit them out and his eyes went wide. They were his fangs!

His eyes went wide. "Mom!"

He heard a slight zip! and the next thing he knew, his mother was standing next to him, her eyes wides with fear.

"Oh, honey!" she cried, hugging him tightly.

"Where's Winnie?" Dennis asked. "What happened?"

"You two drank a potion that turns monsters into humans" Mavis explained.

"What!" Dennis cried.

"Don't worry. I promise I will find a cure as soon as possible" Mavis said.

"Where's Winnie?" Dennis repeated. "I want to see her."

Mavis bit her lip.

Winnie opened her eyes. She felt like her face was on fire.

"Mom" she croaked.

"I'm right here" Wanda said.

"My face, it hurts" she whimpered.

"You're going to be okay" Wanda said.

"Where's Dennis?" Winnie asked. "I want to see him."

"He's in his room" Wanda said. "I'll ask Mavis if you can see him."

The two mothers met in the hallway.

"Winnie wants to see Dennis" Wanda said.

"How is Winnie?" Mavis asked.

"She said her face hurts."

Mavis bit her lip. "I was afraid of that."

"What do you mean?" Wanda asked.

"The potion is going to have a much greater effect on Winnie than Dennis" Mavis said. "Dennis is half human, so he will lose his powers and his fangs. That's it. The potion will have a much stronger effect on Winnie. She will lose her fur, her fangs, and she will undergo many other physical changes, in and out of the body."

Wanda started whimpering. Mavis pulled her into a hug.

"It's going to be okay" Mavis whispered. "We'll find a cure.
