Chapter 4: The Orb (Honestly the chapter name has nothing to do with the plot I just had no idea what to name it.)
(Thex pov)
It has been three weeks since I found Percy, and since then his relationships with his friends have been deteriorating, and this is happening because of events that have started occurring that are out of his control but are being blamed on him.
Anyways here he comes.
(Percy Pov)
I just finished my daily chores for my cabin and a voice in my head told me that these uncontrollable events are just the beginning and that the game has begun. Confused I made my way to Aquio and asked him what it meant but his response was to not worry about it.
(Gonna switch to 3rd person Pov since I am better at writing this pov than 1st person)
A faint glow of blue started to emanate from the forest near the camp before a figure emerged carrying a dagger which they twirled in their hands while walking. Upon reaching the border it opened enough for them to pass through before it closed back up; no sign of them ever being there. The figure's hand started to glow a bright red before the glow left his hand and floated up into the sky where it solidified into a meteorite which split into a dozen which split more until there was over 300 meteorites floating in the sky.
He then flicked his hand downwards and they proceeded to shoot downwards all over the camp making impact with the cabins and other buildings and areas. As the younger campers went into a panic fleeing in any direction they could, the councilors and older campers started to try and direct them away while also making attempts to locate the being responsible for the occurrence.
The figure then continued to twirl their dagger while they walked to the center of camp before launching a larger meteorite that created a crater nearby then and drew attention to their location. As the councilors and others rushed towards them, they grinned before blocking the sword slash of the closest councilor. They then proceeded to draw a duplicate of their first dagger before using the copy to parry another slash and then stab the attacker in the shoulder who dropped his weapon in pain.
The figure demonstrated superior skill and weapon ability as they would block every stab, parry every slash and dodge every hand to hand attack. Whilst the lone figure fought off the army of campers and the councilors, they then proceeded to go on the offensive with each attack meant to either incapacitate or maim and they did just that. Soon after the campers and councilors were all lying on the ground with eyes open wide in fear of this being.
The figure then proceeded to decapitate most of the older campers and kill the councilors before leaving their dead bodies next to the ruins of their cabins. The following moments after would be engraved in the memories of all the older campers that survived. The figure would use the blood of the dead campers and councilors to write a message on the big house. "One to ten, never forgotten or deceased, rotate the pull east, turning towards the freezing skies and smoldering craters."
The figure would then vanish after drawing a circle with ten locks in it.
Blood and mourning. This was the scene all the younger campers and remaining campers would wake up to the next day. They had fainted after watching the figure decimate the campers. It was also the sight that one lone son of Poseidon would come to find out upon returning to camp having left earlier that day in order to clear his head. He too would mourn and pay his respects before attempting to go to the forest to train.
On his way there he was stopped by his brother who would blame him for this incident and attempt to get others to do also. He would be ignored and passed by before arriving to a clearing in the forest. He would see the same figure who had attacked camp, casually whistling while spinning his dagger. He would then attempt to capture the figure only for the figure to deflect all his attacks and countering them. The figure would knock him unconscious before leaving the same mark as earlier.
