Edward POV
„You really don't want to tell me what happened?" The last thirty minutes had been about trying to get Bella to tell me what caused her breakdown. But so far she refused to say anything about it. „Was it something that reminded you of…" I had to pause for a second „Of me leaving you? It's okay, Bella, we've had this before. I will never do that again, I promise. It was the biggest mistake I ever made, believe me." She shook her head. „Then what is it? Please, Bella, tell me. I really want to help you."
Bella cuddled into my side and laid her head on my chest. I put my arms around her. Then, finally, Bella took a deep breath and started talking.
Bella POV
I knew Edward was right, I needed to talk about it. So I took a deep breath and told him what happened.
Carlisle POV
I was quite surprised when Edward called to tell me he wanted a family meeting when Bella was asleep. I thought he would stay with her since he will spend the weekend hunting. But I still asked everyone to be here when he would come back. I was eager to find out what happened.
Apparently, Bella had opened up and told him about the incident in school. And I couldn't believe what he told us. Lauren and her friends threatened to take Edward away from Bella when she wouldn't got tot he principal and tell him that Lauren didn't do what she was accused of and what was reason for her having to clean the school. Now I was a bit angry about myself that I didn't tell the principal about the situation. If he already knew that something happened, it would be easier now to get a proper punishment for Lauren. Now we would have to tell the whole story all at once plus come up with a good reason why we didn't inform him right away when it was obvious that something happened in his school. Oh boy….. I just hope that Bella will agree contacting the principal. The poor thing might be scared to get into more trouble. Hopefully everybody will agree to stick with Bella, then we might have a good chance that she will talkt to the principal. He knows how Lauren can be and what kind of crazy ideas she can have. I straightened my shoulders and told my family about my plan.
Emmett POV
That little brat. She just can't leave Edward and Bella alone. Like Edward would ever touch her or even look at her twice. Nothing would tear him and Bella apart. I just wish that Carlisle would allow us to deal with her ourselves instead of getting the principal involved….
Alice POV
What a bummer….. I hoped he would go for a different decision, but of course it's Carlisle we're talking about. But I guess if Lauren stickst to her current decision, he will not be too mad if we gave her a lesson ourselves. So I think let's wait and see, we might be able to have our fun with her later on. Let the principal trying to work his magic first. I'm not sure yet what he will come up with, but since his first punishment for her was cleaning, it will definitely suit her.
Edward POV
Oh, how I woud love to deal with Lauren myself…. But I will respect Carlisle's decision and just stick with Bella. Plus, i fit turns out the way Alice saw it, we will have that opportunity also. So, I kind of love the thought of Lauren being trashed twice. It's way better, plus she will be one step closer to being thrown out of school. Which is a nice side effect. Bigger chance of getting rid of her more or less permanently. What a nice picture. Emmett is right, seeing her would probably cause nausia if I would be able to feel something like that…..
Esme POV
Now that must've been quite a shock. I fully see why Bella broke down. Edward leaving her is truly a horrible picture for her, so of course she would panic. I guess deep down she still carries the fear it might happen again. It will take a lot of work for her to know that none of us would ever take that journey again… But for now, we have to be at her side and encourage her to let the principal know what happened. Because Carlisle is right, that's the best way to get a proper punishment for Lauren.
AN: *peeking around the corner* I know it's been a very long time since I last posted a chapter. And I'm deeply sorry for that! It's just been a crazy time for me with moving and starting college and everything. Then college means a lot of work and I was always pretty exhausted. I will definitely put this story to a proper ending. It might just take some time. So please, be patient with me….
