Tori shook excitedly as Jade pulled into a Cheddars, one of her favorite restaurants, and turned off her car. Faster than the half Latina could get her hand on the door handle the thespian was out of the car and opening the door for her, allowing her to climb out with a smile directed at her. This caused Jade to blush slightly but she quickly covered it up and walked to the front door, opening that one as well, smirking at Tori as she walked inside.

"Why Jade, such a gentle lady," the singer giggled as the pale girl walked in after her.

"I can be nice sometimes," Jade replied with a playful twinkle in her eyes, "besides maybe if I'm nice I can get some action later, maybe something that requires the door to be shut tight that your parents wouldn't approve of."

This caused the reaction she was looking for as Tori turned bright red and stumbled a bit, Jade grabbing her arm to keep her from falling. Straightening herself up and smoothing out her blouse, Tori looked back at her date with wide eyes only to quickly notice the smirk gracing the other girl's features.

"J-Jade!"

"That's my name," she said with a grin.

"Why would you say that?" Tori asked, embarrassed that they were even having this conversation.

"I don't know what you're talking about Vega," the West girl replied walking past her and to the hostess, "table for two."

"Of course ma'am right this way," the waitress replied grabbing some menus and motioning for them to follow.

Tori wanted to say something, to scold the thespian in front of her, but the crowd of people inhabiting the restaurant made her remain quiet as they took their seats at one of the booths. The waitress handed the two of them their menus and asked for their drink preference, Jade ordering a coffee and Tori ordering sweet tea, before walking off to get their drinks and allowing them to look over the menu. As she looked over her choices, Jade found herself looking over the top of the menu over at the brown hair girl and started to think about everything that Tori had done for her. From helping her every time there was something going on between her and Beck, slowly breaking down her defenses and becoming her friend, and finally even agreeing to have a child with her. Honestly there was a lot more that Tori had done for her but that was something she could think of later.

'I really need to figure out someway to thank her for everything,' Jade thought as she looked back at the menu, 'and it may have to be more than just a couple of dates, but what should it be?'

"Something on your mind?"

Jade looked up again and saw Tori smiling at her, the half Latina's smile somehow brightening up the room. Returning the smile, Jade shook her head and set her menu down, Tori taking one last look at the menu in her hand before setting it down at well.

"Just thinking about things," Jade explained setting her arms on the table.

"You seem to do that a lot lately," Tori teased making Jade smile, "so what were you thinking about?"

"Just...just about how much you've actually done for me," she admitted quietly, "with Beck, with my plays, just in general, you've done so much for me and…"

"And what?" The singer asked as her date's voice softly faded.

"...and I was just trying to think of a way to thank you."

Jade was surprised when she heard Tori giggle, making the thespian look at her in shock. To the singer though she was just simply amused, and touched, by what Jade just said. It was true that she had done quite a bit for her but that was all simply because she wanted to be her friend. Seeing that her date was frowning she gave her another smile and took her hand in her's.

"Jade you don't need to do anything," she told her, "I was doing that because either I wanted to be your friend or we were friends."

"But…"

"No buts, you know me and you know that I would do anything for a friend," Tori continued, poking Jade's nose, "even those who were total ganks to me in the beginning."

Jade smirked and poked Tori's forehead in return, making the other girl laugh. As the two calm down as their waitress returns with their drinks and takes their order, Jade ordering the Dijon Chicken and Tori the grilled chicken salad. The two talked about different things as they waited for their food to arrive, school, family, anything they could think of, and when they got their food they digged in. After finishing their meals, Jade paid for the two of them, quickly silencing Tori's protest about get paying for the two of them.

"I figured I'd be nice and pay for the date," Jade explained as they walked out to get car, "you know since you'll be carrying the kid if we get chosen."

"Whoa wait when did I agree to that?" Tori asked agast as she stared at the goth girl.

Jade didn't reply, instead fixing Tori with a look that told her she knew very well that she was going to carry the child. With a huff the singer folded her arms over her chest but didn't argue as they left the restaurant and headed towards the car, Jade once again opening the passenger door for her before getting in the driver side. Pulling out of the parking lot the thespian started off towards the nearby pier, Tori turning on the radio and turning it to something that the both agreed on. The next half hour was spent singing along to the radio until they finally saw their next destination, Jade pulling on to the turn off and Tori turning off the radio.

"Whoa the place looks packed," Tori observed as they made it to a place they could park.

"Yeah, like I said before this is one of the last days opened for the year so it's no surprise that it would be packed," Jade told her getting out of the car, "I just hope it's not too packed that we can't do anything."

Tori nodded in agreement as she followed her date to the pier and loomed around in awe as she watched others around them, from others on dates like them to families out having a good time. The two walk around for a little bit, taking in the sights and even playing a few of the games. As they stopped to get some funnel cake Jade's attention was captured by the ferris wheel that was nearby and an idea came to her head as she took a hold of Tori's hand and pulled her along.

"J-Jade where are you taking me?" Tori yelped as she was pulled through the mass of people.

"You'll see," was her only reply.

The half Latina huffed but allowed herself to be pulled along, only for the sake of not losing Jade in the crowd, and when Jade finally came to a stop at the ferris wheel she looked up at the tall circle with wide eyes.

"You're taking me on the ferris wheel?" she asked looking at the goth.

"Yep," Jade replied popping her p.

Tori shrugged and continued to follow the other girl with her, the two climbing into their seats as the operator pulled their bar down. It was then that Toro felt Jade take a hold of her hand and give it a small squeeze as they started to move up into the air, Tori intertwining their fingers as she took in the new view. The two leaned against each other as they made their way to the top of the ride, Jade noticing Tori's ever present smile and couldn't help but smile as well. Leaning in the goth girl did something that surprised the two of them and kissed the singer on the cheek, making said girl blush a bright red. Tori however returned the favor, giving Jade a kiss on the cheek as well and making Jade blush, this amusing Tori as the bright red was very obvious on the pale girl's face. Before the two even knew what was going on they both leaned in and kissed each other, their minds going a million miles an hours as they tried to process it. Finally after a few moments they broke the kiss and looked each other in the eyes before blushing once more and looking away.

"So um...that happened," Jade muttered as they looked out on the pier.

"Yeah…"

"Should we uh, should we talk about it?" Jade asked glancing at her out of the corner of her eye.

Tori puffed out her cheeks as she squeezed Jade's hand, her mind racing to try to come up with a response. Her gaze trailed over the view in front of them, the picture of a filled pier and all the people having fun below them completely unaware of the situation these two girls had put themselves in. She knew in her heart that she wanted to talk about it, they were in consideration to have a kid together so them talking about kissing shouldn't be a big issue, but her mind was screaming at her to run as soon as the hit the ground.

"Tori?" Jade asked bringing her out of her mental debate.

"Huh?"

"You kind of zoned out there Vega, are you okay?" Jade pointed out with a frown.

'Aw she cares about me!' Tori thought, mentally smiling.

"Y-yeah I'm fine," she replied blushing again.

"Alright, so um...the kiss?"

"Right!" Tori squeaked, "um should we just uh...pass it off as a 'it just kind of happened' thing?"

Jade sat there for a few moments in silence, Tori almost literally hearing the gears turning in her mind, and didn't even say anything as they got off the ferris wheel. They walked down the pier, not saying anything, Tori about to go crazy because the silence between the two of them.

'Great we were having an amazing time and now it's been ruined all because we had to go and kissed each other,' she mentally huffed before realizing something, 'wait a second, I kissed Jade West, THE Jade West! I KISSED JADE WEST!'

'What do I say to her?' Jade thought in her own mental debate, unaware of Tori's mental freak out, 'I mean a kiss on the cheek is one thing, female friends do that all the time right?'

Jade glanced around trying to find other females their age to gauge is she was accurate in her assessment, but to her dismay she couldn't find any in the large crowd around them.

'But the second kiss, the one on the lips was different,' she concluded touching her lips, 'it didn't feel the same as when I kissed Beck, or even any of the boys I had to perform with, her lips were soft and warm...it was comforting.'

"I...I don't think I want to," Jade finally decided catching Tori's attention.

"Huh?" Tori asked confused.

"I don't want to forget the kiss Vega," Jade explained looking at her, "look I'll tell you the same thing I told your dad earlier."

"Okay," the singer said unsure of where this was going.

"I like you Tori, you're a great person and people would have to be blind not to see that," Jade told her as she took a hold of both her hands, "I can't say for certain that I love you at the moment, but I know that if we do have this child that I'll stay with you for as long as you want me to be there."

"Well I would appreciate it if you were there to help raise our child," Tori teased, making Jade smile.

"I won't say I love you at the moment though," she continued, this making Tori frown, "and hear me out when I say this okay, you know me and you know that I have a hard time telling people I love them."

"Right," Tori recalled with a nod, "so what are you trying to say."

"I'm saying that while I won't say I love you right now, that there's not a possibility that I won't say it down the line," Jade said making Tori smile again, "I want to try us out, see if a relationship between us will work out."

"Jade are...are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" Tori asked blushing.

"If you want to be."

"Well…" Tori hummed thoughtfully, "we would need to date if we were chosen for the experiment, for the baby and all, and you are cute and exciting to be around when you're not threatening people with your scissors."

"Tori…" Jade growled, her eyebrow twitching in irritation.

Tori giggles, relieved that the tension of the situation seemed to have finally died down a bit, before leaning up slightly and kissing Jade's cheek again.

"I would love to try a relationship with you Jade."

Jade smiled and hugged the singer, Tori returning the hug, before letting her go and taking a hold of her hand. They spent the rest of their time walking around and playing some of the games, Jade even winning a stuffed black bear for Tori, and when they finally figured it was time to go they climbed into Jade's car and headed back to the Vega household. Walking Tori to the front door Jade gave her a small kiss on the cheek before saying good night and heading back to her car, Tori watching as she drove off and vanished at the turn. Walking inside the house she noticed that her mother was sitting on the couch reading, only to look up when she heard the door close.

"Tori, how was your date with Jade?" Holly asked smiling at her youngest daughter.

"It was…" Tori stopped to think how to explain the night before smiling, "an amazing night."
