Jade groaned as she laid on Tori's bed, the goth girl having been at the half Latina's house since about seven in the morning. Glancing at the clock she watched as the hour hand struck eleven she groaned once again and looked back up at the ceiling before lifting her legs into the air and then swung them back to the bed, using that momentum to bring herself to a sitting position. The day just seemed to be working against her and it was only about halfway through. First she had to wake up early and make her way over to the Vega household to pick up her girlfriend, though that last part wasn't too bad. When she had arrived at the house though she found that Tori was in the middle of a mental breakdown, about what Jade could only guess, and Holly was doing what she could to calm her down.
"Ah Jade you're here!" Holly said in relief, "good so you can calm her down while I head to YOUR house and help your mother set up the baby shower."
"Yeah but what's…"
"Goodbye!" Holly chirped as she went to the garage.
Jade stood there dumbstruck as she watched the Vega matriarch leave the house, leaving her with her over hormonal, seven month pregnant girlfriend.
Jade, unable to calm her down, was at least able to talk her into taking a relaxing bath which led to her laying on Tori's bed. Tori had taken her bath and was now currently in the bathroom getting ready for Michelle's baby shower.
"You need any help in there?" Jade called out towards Tori's ensuite bathroom.
"You come in here and I'll stab you with the scissors you keep in your bra!" Tori growled, Jade gulping.
"Um, babe are you okay?" she asked walking over to the door.
The door swung open, Jade stepping back to avoid it as Tori stood in the doorway glaring at her. The half Latina was wearing a pair of shorts, a black bra, and a silk robe Jade bought for her as a Christmas present. The most prominent feature though, much to Jade's joy, was Tori's swollen belly.
"I've changed my mind we're not having a baby shower," she barked stomping over to her bed.
"Tori you know you don't mean that," Jade replied following her.
"Yes I do Jade," Tori snapped sitting on her bed, "if I go to that party I'm going to be surrounded by skinny women and I'm going to look ugly compared to them."
"You look great babe," the thespian promised rubbing Tori's back.
"No I don't, I'm fat, my ankles are swollen, I look like a complete mess…"
"You're pregnant," Jade cut her off, "believe me when I say that you've never looked better, and the only thing that will make you look even more beautiful is when you're holding Michelle after she's born."
Tori sighed and leaned against her pale girlfriend, Jade wrapping her arms around her and holding her close.
"Now then, do you really not want to go to the baby shower?"
"I want to go," Tori muttered hugging her, "they're working hard to set it up and I want to be there."
Jade kissed the side of her head, Tori smiling softly in response. Jade had changed since they started dating, she wasn't the cold ice queen she was when they had first met. She hadn't changed a lot, but she was more open with Tori and the singer could always count on her to be there if she started to feel hormonal. Just as Tori leaned in to kiss her girlfriend again the door to her bedroom swung open and a blur of red rushed in, tackling Jade and wrapping Tori into a tight hug.
"Okay Kitty Kat," Rachel smirked as she leaned against the doorfram"Jade, Tori, today is going to be so so so so so much fun!" Cat squealed happily.
"Cat...too...tight…" Tori gasped patting her friend on the back.
e, "let the two of them go before J"Eep!" Cat squeaked, leaping back and running over to her girlfriendade does something to hurt you."
"What do you mean?" Cat asked confused.
"Three…"
.head, getting ready to chew her out when she felt a hand on top of her knee. Looking over at
Jade glared at the hyperactive red the half Latina next to her the thespian saw her smiling at her, Jade taking a deep breath to calm herself down before looking back at her longtime friend.
"Okay Valentine, what are you doing here?"
"We're here to help you get ready for the baby shower," Cat explained from her hiding place behind Rachel.
"Okay...but you realize that the baby shower is at my house right?" the gothic teen pointed out, raising an eyebrow at them.
"We're not helping set up the baby shower," Rachel cut in shaking her head, "your moms and Trina have that all taken care of, we're here to help you two get ready."
Cat nodded, reaching behind the other side of the wall hidden from Tori and Jade's gaze, and pulling out a shopping bag.
"We went to the mall and bought you two a shirt to wear," Cat told them, running back over to them and handing Tori the bag.
Reaching in, Tori couldn't but chuckle as she saw the shirts that Cat had gotten them. For Tori it was a long sleeve pink maternity shirt with purple glitter writing saying "Future Mommy", and for Jade it was a red v-neck t-shirt with black writing saying "Future Daddy." Much to Rachel's amusement she watched as Jade's eye seemed to twitch as she looked at the shirt that was handed to her, the goth girl looking as if she was about to kill someone.
"In Cat's defence," Rachel spoke up before Jade could do anything, "you are the father."
"How...did you even find a shirt like this?" she whispered, a dangerous undertone to her voice.
"We ordered them online," the actress shrugged.
Sighing, Jade shook her head and pulled off the shirt she was currently wearing and putting on her new shirt, Tori taking off her robe and doing putting her shirt on as well. As they did this, Cat was rummaging about Tori's dresser, pulling out a few of Tori's maternity pants and holding them up before placing them back inside. Finally she settled on a pair of black cotton maternity pants with pink music notes going up the side and a pink band around the waist.
"Here put these on," Cat ordered handing them to Tori.
"Oh those are cute," Rachel muttered looking at the pants Tori was putting on, "where'd you get those?"
"They were a special order from my my and Jade's mothers," Tori replied, "they got them for me once I had hit my third trimester."
"So had Jade bought you any of your maternity cloths?" Rachel questioned, with a playful smirk at her friend.
"Most of them actually," Tori smiled, hugging Jade who was merely grinning back at Rachel.
Rachel rolled her eyes and walked over to Cat, wrapping her arm around the hyperactive girl's waist as she bounced in place.
"So what are we waiting for let's head over to Jade's house before the rest of guest start to arrive!" Cat cheered excitedly.
The others chuckled and made their way out to their cars, making the drive from the Vega household to the West household in due time. Walking inside Tori's eyes lit up as looked at the decorations that her sister and their mothers had put up. Much to Jade's relief the streamers and everything else was purple, not a dark purple but still, and music notes and the drama masks were on the walls and tables. Jasmine and Holly looked up as they heard the front door open up and smiled as they watched their daughters walk in, Jasmine walking over and hugging the two of them.
"So what do you two think?" she asked looking at each of them.
"I love it," Tori replied happily.
"At least it's not pink," Jade smirked, Cat stomping on her foot in response, "OW! Why you little…"
"Jade play nice," Tori warned, Jade's shoulders slumping as she pouts.
Tori smiled and kissed her cheek before being led over to the recliner that she would be sitting in for the baby shower. Jade, Cat, and Rachel all helped with some last minute adjustments when they heard the doorbell. Walking over to the door Jade opened it and grinned when she saw who was there.
"Well well well, what brings you to this neck of the woods Puckett?"
"I'm being drugged her against my will," Sam muttered as Carly smiled.
"She's being over dramatic," Carly said holding up a present, "I hope we're not late."
"You're right on time Carly," Tori said, coming over to see who was at the door.
Carly smiled, Jade stepping to the side and allowing the two to come into her house. Sam smirked as she walked inside, fist bumping Jade as she closed the door behind her. Over the next half hour to an hour more people arrived for the baby shower, from family members to friends that they had made at school, and Tori couldn't be more excited at the moment. As the baby shower went on Tori had Jade write down a list of all they had gotten from their guest, ranging from diapers and clothes to toys and a crib.
"I didn't think we'd actually get a crib for Michelle," Jade chuckled as she pushed it to the side.
"No kidding," Tori agreed, smiling at Jasmine, "Thank you Mrs. West."
"It's not problem Tori," Jasmine assured her future daughter-in-law, "and please feel free to call me Jasmine."
Tori's smile didn't waver at that, the half Latina looking over at her girlfriend as she wrapped up writing down the list of who bought them what. The rest of the party was spent talking, eating, and laughing until one by one their guest started to leave. Once it was only Tori, Jade, Rachel, and Cat, the mother of the two future mothers were bustling about cleaning up while the girls chatted some more.
"It looks like you guys are going to be set for a bit," Rachel said looking at what the two got, "won't have to be buying diapers anytime soon will you?"
"Oh I wouldn't say that," Holly chuckled, "you'd be surprised how many diapers a newborn can go through."
"Ugh please don't say that," Jade groaned, "Tori know this, when Michelle is born I'm not changing any diapers."
"That's what you think," Tori muttered taking a sip from her tea, "I can promise you that I'm not going to be the only one in this relationship that's changing our daughter."
Jade groaned, making Tori smile as she set her cup down, her head turning as she heard the front door open up and her's and Jade's fathers walking in. The first thing that the two girls noticed was that they were both covered in paint, David grinning as he walked over and gave his wife a hug.
"David!" Holly yelped, smacking his arm.
"I take it that you two finished what you needed?" Jasmine asked smiling at Jonathan.
"Finished about half an hour ago," Jonathan replied holding up a bottle of Jack Daniels, "thought we'd get something to celebrate."
"Celebrate what?" Jade questioned curiously.
Their parents smiled at each other, their daughters looking at the and waiting for their response.
"Well now that everyone has went home and your fathers are here I don't see why we can't tell you," Jasmine replied, oddly cheerful, "You see the four of us have one more present."
"One more...present?" Tori muttered confused.
"This one is a bit...bigger than the other ones," David explained, Jonathan reaching into his pocket.
The girls watched as he set down a key on the table in front of them, 221B etched onto it. Picking it up, Jade looked over at her girlfriend as she turned the key over in between her fingers.
"What is this?" she asked handing the key to Tori.
"That," Jade's father grinned, "is the key to your new apartment."
Jade and Tori's eyes went wide as they processed what they were just told. Looking from their parents, to their friends who simply shrugged, to each other, and finally down to the key in Tori's hand.
"O-our apartment?" Jade whispered in shock.
"That's where me and Jonathan have been the past couple of weekends, getting it ready for you and Michelle."
"We actually just finished painting Michelle's room before coming over here," David explained pointing at the paint stains on his shirt, "and we made sure it's not pink so that Jade could enter it."
"A good choice," Jade chuckled.
"So wait I'm confused," Tori muttered biting her lower lip, "I mean I get that we're eighteen and that we can live on our own but what about school?"
"Your apartment is located a couple of blocks from Hollywood Arts, in fact we'll drive pass it on the way there to show you the way to get to school," Holly promised them.
"And rent? How are we suppose to pay for that?" the half Latina continued.
"We've discussed it and we're paying for the rent," Jonathan replied, motioning to him and Jasmine, "while the Vega's will help you with groceries and things that Michelle will need."
"So you'll be paying for the place while they pay for food and diapers?" Jade recapped.
"And cloths for our granddaughter," Holly chirped, "anything that you two want to purchase for yourself you'll have to earn the money for."
Jade and Tori nodded, everything starting to make since to them. It wasn't long after that, that the group made their way from the West household to Jade and Tori's new apartment, Rachel and Cat in Jade's car as they wanted to see the apartment too. True to their parents' word their apartment was only a few blocks away from their school, the teens getting out of Jade's car and following the grown ups up the stairs. Walking inside Jade and Tori were pleased to see that their apartment, while mostly bare, had already had stuff that they would need, furniture, dishes, kitchen utensils , etc.
"Did the people who last live here leave their stuff?" Tori asked as she went through the kitchen.
"Nope, everything here was bought recently by us," Jonathan replied.
"Apparently it helps to be rich," David teased, making Jonathan roll his eyes.
"Actually a lot of this stuff was bought thanks to your Grandma West," he stated, Jade looking over at him, "sorry Jade but we did dip into your inheritances a bit."
"It's fine," Jade assured them, "I'd rather it go to something like this."
"Well we'll leave the four of you to look around," Holly smiled, "but rest assure if we find out that your grades are slipping this close to graduation because you're slacking off then we will pull you out of here until you graduate."
"And trust us, we've already talked to your Principal and Sikowitz to ask them to keep us up to date," David said as they left.
"Oh and I'll be by tomorrow to take you grocery shopping Jade," Holly called out as she closed the door.
The girls all chuckled as they walked into the living room and sat down.
"Okay so you're going to need a TV," Rachel said pointing at the bare spot.
"I got one in my bedroom back at my parents place," Jade replied, "I'll go and grab it along with some cloths tomorrow."
"That's right, we're going to have to pack our things and move them all here," Tori stated, "I'll call Andre and Robby and have them help me tomorrow, with them it shouldn't take too long for the three of us to…"
"You're not doing anything Vega," Jade cut her off, "You're seven months pregnant."
"She's right Tori," Rachel agreed with a nod, "you take it easy, me, Cat, Jade, Robby, and Andre will help get everything over here this weekend."
"For right now, let's just set up my laptop and watch some Netflix," Jade suggested pointing to a router, "looks like one of our folks paid for internet."
"Sounds like a plan," Tori smiled, placing her hand on her stomach as she looked down at it, "I'm certain that this will be a good first house for a little family."
