Tori hummed happily as she folded some clothes that they had thrown into boxes that they were taking back to their apartment. After the baby shower, and getting their apartment from their parents, the expecting couple had spent the night watching netflix with Rachel and Cat before falling asleep. The next morning was spent filling out a list of what they would get that day and what they could leave at their parents' house for the time being. The group had then moved along to getting some boxes to use and calling Robbie and Andre to help them. Tori had, of course, tried to help them move but Jade quickly shut down the idea that she was helping move boxes, instead putting her on the task of checking what was in the boxes and telling Rachel which room they went to.
"Hey Tori, where do these go?" Rachel asked holding up some video games and PS4 controller.
"Those will stay in here with the TV," Tori replied, "no way am I letting her put her video games in our room."
This made her friend laugh as she set the box aside.
"Ah why not, 'fraid she'll pay more attention to her games then you?"
"Nope, but I'm making it clear that our bedroom is a video game free zone," the half Latina stated, "I don't mind a TV and Blu Ray player, we can cuddle while watching a movie but she'll be to into the game to cuddle if she has her Playstation in there."
"Um...that's basically saying what I just said with more words," Rachel commented with a smirk.
"Huh?"
"You said that you didn't want her to have her Playstation in your room because you wouldn't be able to cuddle her, I said that you were afraid she wouldn't pay attention to you if she had it," Rachel pointed out, "basically what I said in more words."
Tori blushed bright red, Rachel's words replaying in her mind.
"S-shut up!"
"What's going on in here?"
Tori looked over to the door of the living room, seeing Jade, Andre, Robby, and Cat holding boxes.
"It's nothing Jade, Rachel's just being Rachel," Tori explained, Rachel rolling her eyes.
Jade chuckled and set the boxes in her arms down, sitting down next to Tori as Cat skipped over and placed herself in Rachel's lap.
"How many more boxes do we need to get?" Tori asked looking at the close to twenty boxes left.
"That should be the last of what we needed to get," Jade replied as she looked over the list, "cloths, toiletries, school stuff, I made sure to grab our movies and books, my video games…"
"We also made to grab your laptops and Pearpads," Andre said setting his boxes down.
"I had those under school things," Jade huffed.
"Sure you did," Andre chuckled sitting down.
"So when are you going to give me and Andre the official tour?" Robby asked looking around the living room.
"It's not hard to look around Shapiro," Jade sneered, "just don't go to the left room down the hall, that's mine and Tori's room."
"Jade…" Tori cooed, making Jade blush, "what have I told you about being nice."
Jade groaned and leaned back on the couch, laying her head on the back and closing her eyes. She heard Rachel offered to show the two boys around the small apartment and felt Tori place a hand on her knee. That small act was all it took to make her smile…
"Hello~ is anyone here?"
Or so she thought it would. Opening her eyes she watched as Tori's older sister walked into the living room, Trina looking around the apartment in awe.
"Wow little sister, mom and dad hooked the the two of you up good!"
"It wasn't just mom and dad, Trina, Mr. and Mrs. West helped too," Tori explained with a smile, "but I like the apartment, it may not be big but it's what we need right now."
"I'll say, kind of wish I had saw that experiment before Jade did," the older sister said sitting down, "find myself a nice girl and maybe I could have gotten this apartment."
"Now that just breaks my heart," Robbie smirked as the reentered the room, "if you had been apart of the experiment then we wouldn't be dating now."
"And I wasn't doing the experiment for the apartment Trina," Tori frowned.
"Sorry sorry," Trina blushed with a grin, "I mean I love my life right now so I wouldn't change anything."
The group laughed, Jade smirking as she shook her head. After calming down the group went back to helping the young couple unpack what they had brought. A few hours, and one call for pizza later, the group had managed to get it down to a couple of boxes that had stuff for their living room when they heard a knock at the door.
"Damn if that's the pizza guy I'm giving him a big tip," Jade said impressed.
"It couldn't be the pizza guy yet could it?" Tori asked, "I mean we only ordered it about ten minutes ago."
Jade shrugged and walked over to the front door, opening it and noticing who was standing there.
"Huh? Dr. Hart?"
"Hello Jade, I heard that you and Tori got an apartment and I thought we'd bring you a house warming gift," Dr. Hart said smiling at the goth girl.
"We?" Jade asked confused.
Megan chuckled and moved to the side, allowing Jade to see a woman slightly taller than the doctor, with long strawberry blond hair, fair skin, blue eyes, and wearing a black short sleeve shirt with faded tight jeans and black sandals. Standing next to her was a girl that Jade recalled from the picture Dr. Hart showed her earlier that year of their little girl.
"Jade I'd like to formally introduce you to my wife Alexis and our daughter Lillie," Megan said motioning to the two of them.
"Oh uh, nice to meet you two," Jade said moving to the side, "please come in."
The three smiled and followed her inside, Tori looking up when she heard them enter.
"Oh Dr. Hart what brings you here?"
"Well you're parents told us that you and Jade now have an apartment and we thought we'd bring you a little gift," Megan explained.
"Um who's this?" Rachel asked looking at the older women.
"This is Dr. Hart and her family," Tori explained, "she's the doctor that we're doing the experiment for."
"So you're the one we have to thank for Jade and Tori getting together," Andre teased, making the young couple blush.
"I suppose I am," Megan chuckled.
"So you brought us a gift?" Jade asked, trying to change the topic.
"Just a little something we thought you might like," Alexis said holding the gift up.
Tori took the gift and unwrapped it, her eyes lighting up when she saw what it was. Sitting on her lap was a carved piece of wood, looking like a treble clef and bass clef with a music staff and 'The West Family' placed on top of the staff. The wood itself was varnished and shined in the light, the details of the angels and the scroll looking like it was done by a professional.
"Wow this is amazing," Tori said looking at it.
"Yeah where did you get this?" Jade asked looking over to the two.
"I made it actually," Alexis said smirking, "wood carving and wood burning are a hobby of mine."
"No way," Jade replied in shock, "this looks like a pro did it."
"Yep, been doing things like this since I was in high school," she explained wrapping her arm around Megan's waist, "We were planning on giving it to you after Michelle was born but this seemed like a good time to give it to you."
"Oh, so have you made one for the other couples?" Tori
"Well we we're planning on it," Megan replied sitting down and placing Lillie on her lap, "I mean originally we weren't planning on making anyone anything but…"
"But Megan seems to have taken a liking to the two of you," Alexis spoke up with a smile, "everytime she comes home I can tell that you two have been at the hospital."
"And how can you tell?" Cat asked tilting her head to the side.
"She just seems more energized," Alexis said patting Megan's shoulder, "and I want to thank the two of you for that, recently it felt like her job was sucking the life out of her, what with all of the research and what not."
"I told you Alexis, that's part of the job," Megan said frowning.
"I know, but I'm just glad to see you happier."
"Mama's happy now," Lillie said smiling brightly.
Megan smiled and nuzzled her daughter, Tori and Cat gushing at the sight as the others smiled.
"So Tori how's everything going, I know that we just had an appointment but…"
"Everything's going well Dr. Hart," Tori replied, "and I know that moving can be stressful but Jade here made sure that I didn't do anything and our friends helped out."
"Well that's good," Megan said with a nod, "I figured that Jade wouldn't let you do anything to big with how far along you are."
"Nope, pretty much had her sit here and check boxes we brought in," Jade said grinning at her girlfriend.
Tori huffed but smiled none the less as she watched Lillie run over to Cat and start to play with her. The group sat around and talked for a while, Jade only getting up when the pizza guy showed up, and when the time came everyone minus Tori and Jade left. Locking the door behind them Jade walked back into the living room and saw that Tori had already fallen asleep on the couch. Chuckling the thespian lifted her up into her arms, albeit with a bit of effort, and carried her to their room, switching Tori's cloths for her pajamas before changing into her own. Crawling into the bed Jade wrapped her arm around Tori's waist and leaned down to nuzzle her belly.
"Soon Michelle, you'll be here soon," she whispered softly, "and when you do finally arrive, you'll have two mommies that love you very, very much."
Kissing Tori's belly Jade smiled as she gazed at her unborn child.
"You'll never go wanting for love."
