Jade shivered as she sat on the hospital floor. Her knees pressed against her chest and her forehead resting against her knees. She had been there for a few hours but to the young thespian it felt like eternity. Across the hall from her, hidden from view thanks to the door, Tori laid unconscious after having been through a car wreck while heading to the hospital to give birth to their daughter. That was another thing she was worried about, their daughter Michelle, who wasn't even born yet, might not make it simply because some idiot wasn't paying attention to the stoplight.

'Please… please let them live,' Jade pleaded in her mind, not hearing someone walk over to her.

"Jade sweetie why don't you come sit down with the rest of us in the waiting room," she heard her mother suggest, feeling her hand lay down on her shoulder, "they told us they would come and get us as soon as Tori is stable."

Jade didn't reply, instead she allowed herself to be pulled up to her feet and be led to the waiting room. When they arrived Jade was met by a hug from her long-time friend, the redhead hugging her so tightly she was glad she was in the hospital since she might need a doctor to fix her broken ribs.

"I'm so so so sorry Jade," Cat cried, sobbing into her chest.

"It wasn't your fault Cat," Jade whispered patting her head, "there's no need for you to apologize."

"She's right Cat," Trina muttered from where she was sitting, Robbie rubbing her back, "if anything I should be apologizing, she was with me when we were hit and…"

"And nothing Trina, you weren't the one who caused the wreck, you were following the rules of the road," Robbie assured her, kissing the side of her head.

"But I…"

"Robbie's right," Jade stated looking at the older Vega daughter, "you did exactly what I asked you to do, you even called me and told me there was an accident, it wasn't your fault."

Trina sniffed and wiped the tears from her eyes before blowing her nose. Jade then felt another hand on her shoulder and looked over to see Rachel standing there. The make up artist held a concern look in her expression as she looked Jade over. Before Jade could say anything, Rachel wrapped her in a hug, not as tight as Cat's but tight enough to let her know she was there. Jade returned the hug, this time allowing all of her pent up emotions out as she cried. They stayed that way for a few minutes before Jade finally settled down and sat down between Rachel and Cat. The thespian was able to see who all was there as she looked around the waiting room. Of course their friends and Trina was there, along with both their mothers and Jade's father.

"Where's officer Vega?" she asked looking around.

"David is taking care of somethings down at the station," Holly informed her, "apparently that man who hit you has an outstanding traffic record along with the fact his licenses was expired."

This got Jade's blood boiling.

"You mean to tell me that the jackass that wrecked Trina's car, the one holding MY pregnant girlfriend, wasn't even suppose to be driving!"

"I already have some lawyers ready to go Jade," her father assured her, "rest assure that he won't get away with this."

This did little to calm the goth girl down as she pushed herself up and started to pace the waiting room. She remained this way for close to half an hour as no one wished to get in her way, when the group side how managed to hear footsteps heading their way. Looking up Jade saw Alexis walking towards them, her daughter Lillie in her arms with the little girl's arms wrapped around her neck.

"We came as soon as Megan got the call," she said walking over to them, "Jade I promise you that she'll do everything she can in order to make sure they both make it out alive."

Jade wiped the tears from her eyes, smiling softly at the older woman. Setting her daughter down, Alexis walked over and gave Jade hug, the thespian returning the favor. After meeting Alexis the first time Jade had gotten the chance to get to know the older woman better, finding that they had a lot in common, namely their love for horror movies. So besides her mother and Holly, Alexis had become a role model for her.

"Thanks Alexis, I guess I need all the hugs I can get right now," Jade admitted with a sad smile.

Just as Alexis was about to say something yet another presences was made clear as an older male wearing surgery gear walked in and pulled off the latex gloves, shoving them into his pockets.

"Is this the group for young Victoria Vega?" he asked looking at them.

"Yes we are," Holly said walking over and placing her hand on Jade's shoulder.

"My name is Dr. Jasper, I was in charge of young Victoria's…"

"Tori," Jade interrupted, making the doctor look at her, "her name is Tori."

"Jade please calm down," Jasmine said walking over to her daughter and giving the doctor an apologetic smile, "please forgive my daughter, she's just worried about her girlfriend and child."

"Ah yes that's fine," Dr. Jasper replied with a smile, "I just came out to tell you that Miss. Vega was stable, she had a small gash across her forehead and a bit of bruising but other then that she was fine, honestly I'm surprised she was in that good of condition."

"That might have been because of me," Trina spoke up from where she was sitting, "you see when my car was hit my first instinct was to protect my sister and niece so I threw my arm over her to protect her the best I could."

"Well it was a good thing to did ma'am, with that and her seatbelt she came out in a better condition then she would had those factors not been in play," the doctor said with a nod, "in fact the only way I could see it having been worse would be if the car had been hit on the passenger side."

Trina sighed in relief but Jade still seemed to be a bit on edge as she looked past the doctor towards where Tori would be.

"A-and Michelle? Did our daughter make it?"

Dr. Jasper looked back at the young goth woman, taking in her concerned expression and trembling.

"Well Miss…"

"West," Jade informed him.

"Miss. West, I can't rightfully say if your daughter made it," he said cautiously, "but Dr. Hart is in there right now doing what she can, and I'm sure once she finishes up in there she'll tell you everything you'll want to know."

Jade gave a small nod, looking at the floor as Alexis spoke up for the group.

"Thank you for the update Victor, we'll wait here for my wife for the next update."

"Ah Alexis ,and little Lillie I didn't see you there, it's been awhile."

"Oh only since last Christmas, you're being over dramatic," Alexis replied with a smile, "and as much as I would like to chat, I'm sure you have other places you need to be."

"Yes, yes," Dr. Jasper said shaking his head, "I hope everything turns out well."

With one last goodbye Dr. Jasper left the group, Jade's eyes still trained on the floor underneath her feet.

'Yeah, I hope it all turns out well,' she thought to herself, looking up at the door that separated her from her family.

Jasmine hugged her daughter tightly, allowing her to know that she was there for her as she knew she wouldn't be able to get Jade's mind off of the situation. The group moved to sit back down, Jade sitting between Cat and Rachel as the two attempted to comfort her. Time seemed to slow down for the goth girl as she waited for more news about her daughter and girlfriend. One minute past, then five, ten, twenty...but to her it felt as if days had passed.

"I need some air," she blurted out when she finally couldn't take it anymore, "please come and get me the second Dr. Hart comes out."

No one moved to stop her, instead watching as she walked down the hall and out a door that led to a outdoor area with some more chairs. Walking around Jade looked at the fountain they had in the center of the outdoor waiting area, an ornate angel with water pouring out of a urn it was holding. Sitting down on one of the benches she looked at the angel and watched it as the water pour into the pool below it, the only sounds that could be heard being the splashing of water and the chirping of the birds.

"Do you mind if I join you?"

"...No I don't mind," Jade replied, not even looking over to see who it was.

Jasmine smiled softly and walked over to her step daughter, sitting down on the bench next to her.

"Everything it going to be alright," Jasmine promised as she hugged her daughter, "they already told us Tori is stable and I'm certain Michelle will be fine, if there's one thing I know she'll get from the two of you it will be a stubborn streak."

"I get what you're trying to do mom but…" Jade's voice trailed off as she continued to stare at the angel statue, "but until I see the two of them, alive, and until I hold Michelle, I don't think I'm going to be able to calm down."

"I understand sweetie, all I'm trying to do is give you some hope."

Jade nodded, and then looked up when she saw someone else walk out into the area they were in. Rachel had a small smile as she walked out the door, making her way directly over to the two West women.

"Dr. Hart just came out of the operating room," she said, her gaze directed at her friend.

Jade's heart started to race as she stood up and beelined towards the area that their group was in. Dr. Hart stood there, her wife and child standing next to her as the rest of the group stood there waiting for the news.

"Ah there you are Jade," Megan said with a relieved smile, "we were waiting for you."

"D-Dr. Hart, please tell me," Jade said running over to her, "is Michelle and Tori okay?"

"Well as Dr. Jasper has already told you Tori is stable, a bit sleepy but she's awake now," the doctor explained with a nod, "and as for Michelle she's just fine, in fact the two of them are waiting for you."

"M-Michelle is…"

"Yep, in Tori's room in her mother's arm," Dr. Hart said grinning, "why don't we take you to them."

Jade couldn't find the words to respond, instead nodding her head before following the doctor that helped her and Tori reach this part of their lives. Looking back, Megan gave the rest of them an apologetic smile before saying.

"I'm sorry to do this to the rest of you but for the time being…"

"We understand," Holly spoke up with a smile, "we'll wait for approval before we go see Tori and Michelle."

Megan nodded, placing her hand on Jade's shoulder and continuing to lead her to her new family.

"It was a bit touch and go there at the beginning," she explained to the new young mother, "but in the end she managed to pull through, though she's a bit on the small side."

"Why's that?" Jade asked curiously.

"Michelle is a few weeks early, if you recall she was suppose to come after your and Tori's graduation," Megan replied, Jade nodding as she recalled that conversation.

The two finally reached the door to the room that Tori was in, Megan smiling as she pushed open the door.

"Well," she said looking at the young woman, "they're waiting for you."

Jade took a deep breath and stepped into the dimly lit, her eyes going over to the bed that her girlfriend was laying in. What she saw nearly stopped her heart as the sight of Tori holding a small pink blanket and cooing at who was in it. The half Latina looked tired and Jade couldn't blame her, if she had gone through what Jade had gone through then she might have been exhausted as well. Looking up to see who entered the room, Tori's eyes seemed to light up as she saw her girlfriend enter, the half Latina quietly motioning her over to the bed.

"Come see your daughter," she whispered once Jade was close enough.

Tori pulled the blanket back a touch to allow Jade a better view and, once again, the goth girl felt like her heart had stopped. Michelle was tiny, just like Dr. Hart had told her, and her complexion matched that of the half Latina, a small tuft of brown hair on top of her head. Michelle's eyes however matched the thespians, though it was a slightly darker shade of bluish-green. Her heart swelled in pride as she took in her daughter's appearance, leaning down and softly kissing the top of her head as the baby girl took in this new person.

"Hi there sweetie, I'm your mommy," she whispered to Michelle with a proud smile.

Michelle gurgled and reached up to the pale woman, Jade holding out a finger and allowing her to take a hold of it.

"She's beautiful isn't she?" Tori asked in a whisper, Jade simply shaking her head.

"She's perfect Tori," she replied kissing her forehead as well, "our perfect baby girl."

Tori felt tears swell up in her eyes as she looked back at her daughter, watching as Michelle started to drift asleep in her arms. This caused the singer to yawn as she felt her own exhaustion overtake her. Jade chuckled and kissed the side of Tori's head once again.

"Get some sleep, you need it," she whispered, gently taking Michelle from Tori, "I'll watch over Michelle.

"O...oka...y," Tori muttered, falling asleep.

Jade smiled and sat down in the chair next to the bed, she knew that she would have to let the others in to see Michelle soon, but for now she just want a moment alone with her small family.

"I love you Michelle," Jade whispered to the sleeping girl, looking over to the sleeping form of her girlfriend, "and...I love you Tori, I promise to tell you that officially when you wake up."

Turning back to watch her baby girl, Jade missed the small smile that now graced the half Latina's face.

A/N: No more drama, only a few fun family moments over the last few chapters. I think I have maybe three in mind, one with the rest of the group finally getting to meet Michelle, one with the small family back in their apartment, and an epilogue, but other then that nothing else. So look forward to the end of the revamp for Our Child. Love you all!
