For when I look in your eyes, I can't imagine a life without you.

~Our Child~

JADE:

Jade could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her palms covered in a light layer of sweat as she looked into the mirror in the room she currently was confided to. She couldn't recognize the woman standing in front of her. The now twenty three year old young woman was wearing a pure white dress that reached the floor, a ruby sash wrapped around her waist. Her forearms were covered in a glove that wrapped around her middle finger and went up to her elbow, ruby vines embroidered onto the gloves making it look like they were wrapping around her arm. Her usual black hair was back to it's natural brown color and she had forgone any streak of color for her bang. Biting her lower lip, the thespian started to fiddle with her hair only to earn herself a smack on the hand with a brush.

"Don't you dare mess up your hair again Jadelyn," came the scolding voice of her mother.

Turning around Jade saw her mother glaring at her with a fire in her eye that warned her not to continue messing with her hair. Blushing Jade looked away like a child getting caught in the cookie jar.

"Sorry mom," she mumbled sitting down in front of the vanity that was in the room, "guess I'm just a little nervous."

"Did she mess up my hard work again?" Rachel asked walking into the room and glaring at Jade, "Seriously West if I have to fix your hair one more time…"

"A little?" Jasmine question with a smirk, cutting off Rachel's rants and making Jade's blush intensify, "you were just messing with your hair...for the fifth time and you've been pacing the room."

"Not to mention you'be been trembling slightly," Rachel mentioned as she sat down next to her friend, "So what's up, why are you so nervous?"

"She's getting married," Mrs. West reminded them with a smile, "it's only natural that she's nervous, I can only imagine that Tori is going through the exact same thing."

Jade nodded, a small smile gracing her features as she thought about the young woman who was about to become her wife. It had been just over four years since she had asked Tori to marry her, just over four years since Michelle had been born, and the small family was finally about to become official, or at least in the eye of the law they were. The past four years had been some of the best of her life, her and Tori had been taking care of Michelle and going to college, and they had even taken some internships after graduating from high school. The two of them had started to make a name for themselves in their respected business, Jade starting to get noticed by big time directors and even allowed to direct a couple of scenes herself, she was even just approached about possibly being a director for a new horror movie much to Tori's joy, and slight dismay. Tori and Andre had teamed up and were taking the music world by storm, with Andre writing the music and Tori performing it, the half Latina was even about to drop her first album much to both of their excitement.

"Jade," her father said walking in and bringing her back to reality.

"Huh?"

Johnathan simply chuckled and shook his head as he stepped to the side and motioned outwards.

"It's time sweetie."

"Right," the former goth girl said smiling, "it's time to get married!"

TORI:

Tori could feel her heart trying to beat through her chest as Cat did some of the final touch ups on her hair, and Trina finished up her make up. It was finally the day, the day that she was going to marry the love of her life. The day she was finally going to become Victoria Gabriella West. Over to her right Tori could see her mother trying to keep Michelle still as she worked on her granddaughter's hair.

"Michelle cariño could you be still for your abuela?" Holly asked as Michelle attempted to move again.

"But I wanna go plway," Michelle whined making Tori giggle.

"I understand that cariño, but today's a special day for your mommy and mamá," the Vega matriarch explained straightening up her granddaughter's dress.

Michelle pouted, clearly not enjoying being confined to the room and in a dress when she wanted to play. Seeing this, Tori held up her hand to stop her friend before standing up and walking over to her daughter.

"Michelle cariño, I promise you that once we're done here you can go with your abuela and abuelo and play okay," Tori promised kissing her daughter's forehead, "but can you promise me that you'll be a good girl until then?"

Michelle's brow furrowed as she thought it over but recalled what her abuela had told her, it was a special day for her mommy and mamá. She wasn't sure what that meant but she knew that it was important otherwise they wouldn't have been woken up really, really early, or at least early for her, this morning by her aunt Cat and Rachel.

"Okay mamá I promise," Michelle replied with a toothy smile.

Tori smiled and walked back over to Cat, who simply beamed as she looked at the young girl being fussed over.

"She's really coming along with her Spanish," the redhead said amazed.

"She only knows what a few words mean ," Tori replied smiling proudly, "and can say a couple of them such as mamá, abuela, and and abuelo."

"Even still that's amazing for a four year old," Cat stated as she added a few more curls to Tori's hair.

"Well they say that it's best to learn a new language when they're young," the half Latina explained, "and since Spanish is my second language it's easy to teach her."

"And what does her mommy think about this?" Trina asked as she finished up her sister's make-up.

"She hasn't complained yet so…"

Trina nodded, putting the final touches onto Tori's makeup while Cat finished Tori's hair. Just as they wrapped up there was a knock at the door and David Vega walked in covering his eyes.

"Everyone decent?"

"Si papa," Tori replied with a giggle.

"Abuelo David!" Michelle squealed excitedly running over to her grandfather.

David grinned and picked her up, giving her a hug and nuzzling her cheek before setting her back down and looking over to his youngest daughter. His grin then turned into a smile as he took in Tori's appearance. Like Jade's dress he saw earlier Tori's dress was a pure white but instead of ruby her's was sapphire. For a second though the police officer could have sworn that he saw his five year old daughter grinning up at him and he felt tears stinging the corners of his eyes.

"Papa are you okay?" Tori asked hugging him.

"Heh, I'm fine my little songbird," David replied, using a nickname that he hasn't used for years, "just hard to believe that one of you are finally getting married."

Holly smiled softly as she nodded in agreement.

"It does seem like there's going to be quite a few weddings this year," she said thoughtfully, "Tori and Jade's wedding today, later on in the fall we have Robbie and Trina's wedding."

Trina nodded glancing down at the engagement ring adorning her hand.

"Not to mention Rachel and Cat's wedding in the winter," the eldest Vega daughter added motioning to the red head.

"Yep, yep," Cat agreed with an excited nod.

Not long after Tori and Jade had gotten engaged, maybe just over a year, Robbie had proposed to Trina while they were out on a cruise to celebrate their one year anniversary. Rachel and Cat had followed soon after that when Rachel proposed to her hyperactive lover while they were at their apartment relaxing. Shaking her head lightly, the younger of the two Vega daughters smiled at her father as she knew there would be one reason for him to come find her.

"Is it…"

"Yep," he replied smiling softly, "it's time my little songbird."

Tori's heart started to beat faster once more as she walked down the hall towards the sanctuary of the church they were in. As they entered the room she was going to wait in for her cue she noticed her bridesmaids standing there chatting amongst themselves. Both her and Jade had decided that they only wanted a few bridesmaids, or in Jade's case some bridesmen with one bridesmaid. For Tori, she had chosen her sister Trina, Carly, and Cat as her maid of honor, while Jade had Robbie, Freddie, and Rachel as her maid of honor. Michelle was of course their flower girl while they had one of Jade's younger cousin Ryan as the ring bearer. She stood there waiting for what felt like an eternity when she finally heard the music for the bridal procession.

Jade heard the music start to play from her position in front of the altar and turned around to see the doors open. She watched as Carly, Trina, and Cat walked down the aisle, smiling as her little four daughter and Ryan followed, Michelle doing what she was told to earlier and tossing petals along the floor. Finally Canon in D started to play and Jade felt her whole world stop. Tori walked towards her, holding her father's arm, but to Jade it looked as if she was walking alone on clouds.

"Who gives this young woman away?" she heard the pastor ask when Tori reached her.

"Her mother and I," came David's reply.

Tori smiled as she leaned over and kissed her dad's cheek, David returning in kind before handing her over to her soon to be wife. As soon as Tori's hand touched Jade's it felt as if lightning coursed through both their bodies. The rest of the wedding was a blur for the two of them as they couldn't keep their eyes off each other, and it was when the pastor asked the final question that they finally looked away.

"Jade, do you take Tori to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," Jade replied with a smile.

"And do you Tori, take Jade to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," she replied, feeling tears sting her eyes.

"I now pronounce you wife and wife, you may kiss your bride," the pastor said with a smile and a nod.

Jade could feel her heart swell with pride as she looked upon the woman who was now her wife, the person she would spend the rest of her life with. Leaning in the pale skin woman kissed the tan skin woman, the two sealing the vows to each other.

MICHELLE:

Michelle scrunched her nose as she watched her mamá and mommy kiss each other, as she did every time they kissed. Even at four years old, though she constantly argued that she was almost five and should be treated as much, she wasn't a fan of all the mushy stuff she saw her two mothers do. As her mamá and mommy finished their kissing, and Michelle mentally gagged, they made their way out and Michelle followed after them alongside Ryan as she was told to.

'Ugh, when can I go plway?' she thought moodily as she followed her mothers, 'didn't mamá said that abuela and abuelo would take me to plway awfter this?'

With that thought in mind she started to look for her abuela through the crowd of people that was entering the big room they were ushered into, finally spotting both set of grandparents sitting at a table.

"Abuela!" Michelle yelled running over to her.

"Huh? Michelle don't run in your dress!" Rachel yelped seeing the young girl run off towards Tori's mother.

Holly chuckled as Michelle puffed out her cheek and slowed down, the four year old girl making her way over to her grandparents and onto her abuelo's lap.

"Michelle sweetie what's the matter?"Jasmine asked with a smile.

"You did seem quite excited when you saw your Grandma Vega," Jonathan smirked taking a drink from his glass of bourbon.

Michelle puffed out her cheeks again as she fixed her abuela and abuelo with a look that could only be described as the 'West Glare.'

"Mamá said that abuela and abuelo would take me to plway after this was over and I wanna go plway now!"

The four grandparents looked at Michelle and then to each other before starting to laugh making Michelle glare at them even more.

"Wow she is Jade's daughter isn't she?" David asked wiping his eyes.

"It does seem that way," Jonathan said shaking his head.

"Michelle the wedding isn't over just yet," Holly explained to her granddaughter, "we still have to have the reception then we'll take you to play."

The young West girl frowned but nodded as her abuela gave her a hug, her Aunt Cat stepping onto the stage that held the table for the two brides.

"Okay everyone, we wanted to pass on the word from the newly wed who just wanna say thank you for being here," Cat said excitedly, a cheer coming from the crowd, "and now introducing for the first time Mrs. and Mrs. West!"

Everyone stood up and clapped as Tori and Jade entered the room, both of them having changed their dresses into something more simple, evening dresses that fit them perfectly with Tori's being sapphire and Jade's being ruby. Michelle jumped down from her abuela's lap and ran over to her mothers, Tori smiling and placing her on her lap when she reached them.

"Hey there cariño," Tori said kissing her cheek.

"Hi mamá," she replied smiling at her, her momentary anger at not being able to play gone, "hi mommy."

"Hey there kiddo," Jade said kissing her as well, "I'm guessing you've already tried to get your abuela to let you outside to play haven't you?"

"She wouldn't let me," Michelle complained making her mothers chuckle.

"Do you think you can last just a little bit longer Michelle?" Tori asked sweetly, stroking her daughter's hair.

Michelle thought about it for a few seconds before nodding, turning around so that she could see out towards the crowd. She looked around to see if there was anyone that would be close to her age so that she could play with them, preferably someone who wasn't a boy, but when no one caught her attention she got ready to jump down and run off again when she felt something touch her leg underneath the table. Confused she looked down to see a pale hand holding, to her surprise, a new Nintendo 3DS XL, looking up at her mommy she saw the pale skin woman wink at her and hold up a finger to her lips. Grinning she took it and turned it on to see that Super Smash Bros. was in it and took off so that she could go play until she was able to change and play outside.

"How you snuck that in is beyond me," Tori giggled as they watched their daughter run over to their parents.

"It wasn't hard, I knew that she would want something to do until she could go outside so I charged it last night and put it in my purse," Jade shrugged with a grin, "besides she four, let her have some fun."

"I never said she couldn't," Tori replied kissing Jade's cheek, "besides she'll have a lot of fun while she stays at my parents' house while we're in Jamaica."

"One week of the two of us on the beach and me getting to see you in a bikini?" Jade smirked, "can't wait."

Tori smiled as she took a hold of Jade's hand, running her thumb over the top of it as she looked back over to her daughter. She knew her daughter didn't fully understand why this day was important to the two of them, in fact she wouldn't for quite a few years, but she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride when she looked at her. Her and Jade had created something special, and she knew that sometime in the near future they would more then likely be expecting another child. Besides Jade had to experience what she went through after all.
