Sorry, sorry, and sorry for the long delay in posting an update.

This is a rather short chapter, but to the point. I think.
Anyway, thank you so much for reviewing / following / favourite-ing this story so far.

"Loki!" Thor and Steve shouted out loud as the young prince disappeared with Hogun and as both Natasha and Clint muttered "Shit!" at the same time.
"Okay, what's going on? I thought you said he doesn't have any magic?!" Natasha turned and yelled at Steve.
"He doesn't!" Steve stressed.
"Then what the hell was that?!" Clint chimed in loudly as he pointed at the empty bed.
The captain looked at Thor and then at Bruce and finally he shrugged.
"This changes everything. If he has magic, then he's dangerous. The deal is off. We need to notify SHIELD," Natasha said as she looked pointedly at Steve.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Everyone just calm down. We should at least get down to the bottom of this before we do anything rash," Steve held out his palms as if that could stop the SHIELD agents from reporting to their boss. "We owe it to Loki to at least try," the captain continued.
To which Clint snorted and said, "We owe Loki jack squat."
"Jarvis, is Loki still in the building?" Bruce ignored that remarked and addressed the tower's ever reliable AI.
"Mr Odinson and his guest are on the rooftop. It appears that they are fighting," Jarvis replied calmly.
"What? Fighting? Loki is no match for Hogun, not without his magic," Thor growled.
"Well, news flash thunderboy, he has magic!" Clint yelled back.
"Why are we still here then, shouldn't we get to the roof?" ever the voice of reason, Bruce asked .
And all of them sprinted out of the lab and headed to the roof.
As the young prince and the Aesir warrior appeared on the roof, Loki pushed Hogun away from him and then he fell to his knees. Only a small teleportation spell and he was exhausted beyond his understanding. He should be happy that he had some magic to work with but he would give it all back if it meant he could save his child's life.
"What? You have magic? How do you have magic?" Hogun asked, displeased with the discovery.
Loki gave him a maniacal laugh and taunted, "It seems that I do, don't I? Why? Are you afraid of me now, Hogun the Grim?"
Hogun growled and tried to make his way towards Loki.
Loki put his palm out and an unseen force flung Hogun backwards.
"I am your husband! You will yield to me!" Hogun yelled.
When he was met with silence, Hogun took a few steps forward and continued, "You lost our child. Are you happy now? You lost my child."
At the mentioned of his child, Loki growled and stood up. "YOU KILLED MY CHILD!" Loki yelled as he threw his palms out again and Hogun went flying again.
"STOP THIS CHILDISH BEHAVIOUR, LOKI!" Hogun shouted angrily as he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
Loki growled again at the demand and continued to threw repeated attacks on his husband. He was getting frustrated. It seemed as if his powers couldn't hurt Hogun and his energy was drained with each energy blast he sent towards Hogun. The warrior did his best to avoid the attacks but Loki was angry and the energy blasts were quick and near in between. His stamina was diminishing but it for fortunate for him that the attacks seemed to only wore him out instead of doing him any real harm.
"WHY? WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME? WHY? WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME?" Loki shouted in tears as he threw attack after attack at Hogun until he exhausted himself.
They were at opposite sides of the roof, both were on their knees and both were panting heavily.
"I remember everything," Loki whispered tearfully, "And yet I understood nothing." But it was more to himself than anyone else. Do I love you? Why did you hurt me? Did you love me? Was it all a lie? Was I so broken that that's all I'll ever be? Why? Please, why?
"You died because of me, child. Forgive me. I am sorry," Loki whispered tearfully to himself as he felt the raw magic caressed his body.
And that was how the others found them. Except for Thor, all of them halted their steps at the door.
Thor walked swiftly over to his brother and knelt besides him and softly said, "Loki, brother. Please, tell me what you would like me to do."
Loki turned his gaze towards his elder brother, and his face crumbled, "I want to hurt him, like he had hurt me. He has to pay. He killed my child, he has to pay. But I'm too weak, Thor. I'm too weak. Please. Please..." And then Loki broke down in tears.
Thor gently pulled his brother into his arms, nodded and said, "Let me help you then, brother."
At Loki's nod, Thor released him from his embrace. The older god gently took his brother's hand and wrapped it around Mjolnir's handle, his own calloused palm encased the back of his sibling's thin hand. Slowly, he urged his brother to his feet. There he stood, behind his younger brother, and he raised their hands and Mjolnir to the sky to call upon his power and the thunder heed his call.
Hogun, who was still on his knees at the other end of the rooftop, could only glare at the siblings angrily when he figured out what Thor intended to do.
With Mjolnir raised to the heaven, when Thor deemed the power was enough, he pulled back and then throw Mjolnir towards Loki's husband. As always, Mjolnir flew true and hit Hogun in the chest. Hogun knew better than to outrun Thor's godly weapon so he stayed till. At the impact, Hogun flew back and then fell to the floor unconscious.
Thor let go of Loki's hands as he caught Mjolnir and without his brother's support, Loki dropped to the floor.
"Loki!" Thor yelled as he dropped to his knees to reach out and support his brother. But Loki was not unconscious.
"Is he... is he... dead?" Loki asked in a pained voice.
Thor shook his head and brought his younger brother to his embrace. Then the thunder god asked softly, "Do you want him dead?"
Loki shrugged, gave a loud sigh and then welcomed the darkness.
Back at the medical room.
"How is my brother?" Thor asked softly as he took his brother's limp hand in his.
After the fight on the rooftop, they had brought Loki back to the medical room and had placed Hogun in one of the many guest rooms. Thor had explained that the warrior would be out for maybe a day or so. The three other Aesir warriors were 'asked' to stay with Loki's unconscious husband.
The two SHIELD agents had also took their leave from the medical room to wait for any news at the kitchen. The only occupants in the medical room were the two Aesir gods, the captain and the good ol' doctor.
Bruce took off his glasses and sighed. "Well, he's okay, I guess. Except for the bruises, I really can't see anything's wrong with him. Even the fetus is gone, now THAT, that I don't understand."
Thor looked at him with a puzzled look on his face, "Fetus?"
Bruce sighed again and nodded, "Oh, yes, I mean the baby. I can't find any traces of the baby in his, you know, womb, I guess. Can you explain that?"
If at all possible, Thor looked even more lost than usual. The thunder god shook his head and turned his attention back to his brother.
That was when he heard his brother's small sigh and then a small whisper, "From magic he came forth, to magic he returned. My child is gone now, and soon I will be too."
"Loki, what do you mean? Are you harmed?" Thor asked fretfully.
Remembering his conversation with the young prince, Steve moved forward to the bed and said, "The baby's magic. The raw magic is killing you, isn't it?"
Loki pulled his hand away from his brother and turned away from everyone else. With his back facing them, all they could hear were Loki's small sobs and another whisper, "Please. Just let me die in peace."
The ending to this story is near. Mwahahaha...
Please, do let me know what you think about this chapter.
Love y'all! *muaks*
