Chapter 5

I woke up at 8 the next morning, feeling awake and refreshed. Zak and I walked down to the lobby after waiting an hour for him to fix his hair. I thought it was sad that I was a female and had probably five times the amount of hair, if not more, but I spent less time in front of a mirror than he did. On our way over to where Nick and Aaron were, those girls from the night before walked up to us.

"You're lucky I don't tell my daddy about this," Britney said.

"Tell him. I don't care," I shrugged, "I would love to see the look on his face when he finds out his 'precious little angel' is harassing a prominent guest of the hotel through the security tapes."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Watch me," I said darkly then went back to my cheerful self, "Bye now." I wiggled my fingers in a wave.

"What was that all about?" Nick asked when we reached them.

I laughed, "I'll tell ya about it in the car." We all walked out to the car and got in then Nick gave me a 'start talking' look. "Okay so what happened was…." I said launching into the hilarious story of me beating up that Britney girl. "And Zak was jaw dropped speechless which was priceless. Then when we got in the room then he was like 'Dude! You just beat up some chick in the hallway!' And I was like 'Bitch got in my way,' and fell asleep." I said through giggles. "So downstairs just a minute ago, she told me that I was lucky that she wasn't going to tell her father about what happened and I told her to do it because I would love to let her father see the hotel's security tapes to show him how his daughter was harassing an important guest of the hotel." I smiled.

"Remind me to never piss you off," Aaron said.

"Don't worry. It takes a lot for me to get mad enough to actually hit somebody. Especially if I know you personally."

The driver stopped at Ihop. We all hopped out, went in, and immediately got seated at a booth. "What can I get you all to drink?" the waiter asked.

"Dr. Pepper" Aaron said.

"Coke" Nick replied.

"I'll have water" Zak told him.

"Can I get some French Vanilla Iced Coffee" I asked.

"You sure can. I'll have that right out for you guys."

"Thank-you" I said as he walked away.

We all stared at our menus for a minute trying to figure out what we wanted. "Do you guys know what you're getting?" Aaron asked staring at his menu.

"I'm getting the Blueberry Harvest" Zak said.

"The Create Your French Toast Combo" Nick said.

"I'm between the Ham and Cheese Melt and the Chicken and Waffles," I said looking between the two choices, "What about you?" I asked Aaron.

"I don't know! It all looks so good." He admitted.

"Well, how about you order the Ham and Cheese Melt, I'll get the Chicken and Waffles and we can share."

"Okay" he agreed. Our waiter came back just then with our drinks. We gave him our order and handed him our menus before starting in on a group discussion about what to do before the lockdown.

"So we are going to do a historical tour of the city first before we go to the harbor for lunch?" Zak asked. I rolled my eyes and sipped my coffee. "What?" he asked.

"I don't know. It just sounds boring that way. Why not just walk around and explore the town for a while, maybe shop around at the little side markets and see where the day takes us? And whenever we get tired we can go back to the hotel to rest before the lockdown." I suggested.

"I'm cool with that" Nick said.

"I like it" Aaron agreed.

We all looked at Zak. "Pleeeeaaaassee?" I said putting on my best sad eyes, "You'll have fun I promise."

"Okay, okay, we can do it that way" Zak said, caving after a few minutes.

"Yay!" I grinned really big and did a tiny jump in my chair.

Our food then came out so we stopped discussing business and ate buffet style. I had to admit that the Blueberry Harvest wasn't half bad. After we all finished eating we walked out and walked around the town just trying to find places that looked interesting. There was this one place that was really weird. They were selling fried scorpions and insects and stuff. Blech! There was this one little outside market that had a bunch of different hats so we all did random poses and took pictures in different hats. I really wanted to get this one beret style hat that had a dark grey plaid pattern with skulls and crossbones all over it that was really cute but I decided against it because I hardly ever wear hats and didn't want to waste my money. We then found this little candy shop that Aaron just had to go in. It was pretty cool. Aaron got two bags full of different candy. Nick got about half a bag and my and Zak's bag put together made almost a half a bag.

When we made it to this boardwalk looking street Zak thought about something before stopping and said, "Oh shit! I left something back at that hat shop. I'll catch up with you guys in a sec." before turning around and heading back towards the hat shop.

Wonder what he forgot. I thought as we sat around waiting for him to get back. After about ten minutes we finally saw him come into view holding a black plastic bag.

"Okay, I'm back" he when he reached us. We then walked down the boardwalk together. It was really pretty to see the ocean just expand all around almost like it was hugging the city. We eventually found our way to some historic parts of Boston. We stopped and took pictures and I read the little information signs beside some of them. When we finished it was around two in the afternoon and Aaron was starting to complain about being hungry. So we walked around and ate at this really cool steakhouse. After eating we were all pretty tired and agreed that we needed sleep for the lockdown that night so we hailed a cab and went back to the hotel. This time there were a lot less fans in the lobby and thankfully no Britney. So I was happy. When we got to the room I kicked my shoes off and grabbed a pair of black booty shorts and a really big OU jersey that had the number 24 on it then went into the bathroom to change.

"Nice" Zak commented when I came back out into the room.

"Thanks" I smiled. Men. I thought and continued to smile as I climbed into bed. He then went into the bathroom for a little bit and then came back out. I glanced up from my phone and then looked back down, trying not to stare. He was wearing nothing but a pair of pajama pants and damn did that boy have some nice muscles. I smiled to myself as continued to play a game on my phone while listening to music.

"What?" he asked.

"I didn't say nothin'," I grinned. Just then my phone started going off. It was my Aunt Summer. "Hey" I said knowing she could hear me through the microphone in my earphones.

"Hey! What are you doin'?" She asked.

"Nothin' much. Just chillin' at the hotel."

"Hotel?"

"Oh yeah, um, I did this radio thing and won a trip to Boston."

"Woooow!" She said then added, "And you couldn't come get me?"

I laughed, "Sorry, it was an all-expenses paid trip for one otherwise I would."

Zak looked at me questioningly.

"My aunt" I mouthed which only confused him more.

"Well that's cool. What all do you get to do there?"

"Mostly just sightseeing, but I also get to hang out with this group called the Ghost Adventures Crew for a day which is cool."

"Yeah. Well I just got off work and was wandering what you were up to since SOMEONE doesn't ever call."

I laughed, "Sorry."

"Uh huh. Well, I guess I'll let you go. You better send me some pictures okay?"

"Okay, I will."

"Alright. Well, I love you and I miss you."

"I miss you too."

"When are you coming to see me?"

"I dunno. Someday. I may come out there for thanksgiving or something, but I gotta look at my schedule first."

"Okay, Baby. I love you."

"Love you too."

"Alright, bye Baby."

"Bye." I smiled and rolled my eyes as we hung up. My music started playing again. "Crazy woman. But I love her." I said before taking my headphones out.

"What was that all about?"

"That was my Aunt Summer. She's just callin' to see what I was doin'."

"Oh. That's cool."

"Yeah." I smiled remembering what life was like when I was growing up.

Shortly after that Zak turned on the TV to ESPN. I just rolled my eyes and put my headphones back in and fell asleep.
