Chapter 4: Exposed (P.O.V.)

"Where have you been?" Neji questioned as soon as Hinata stepped through the door. "And why is your face wet? Were you crying? What happened?" The questions kept coming in. "Um, n-nothing Neji, I-I just had some thing in my eyes." She lied. "Then, where were you? You're so lucky Hiashi isn't home." "I-I was with S-Sakura." "No, Sakura was with Naruto and Ino all day, but it's okay, Hinata. I'll let you go this time." "Thank you..." She exhaled, went to her room and jumped on her bed. Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! 'Please don't be Kiba!' Hinata thought and to her luck, it wasn't.

*1 MESSAGE: Naruto~ ^o^: Hey Hinata, is your father home? Maybe I could come over? 3 – RECEIVED 6:58PM

'I'm afraid, what if I tell him? What will he say? What will he do?' Hinata wondered.

*You can come here, as soon as possible 3 – DELIVERED 6:59PM

1 MESSAGE: Naruto~ ^o^: Okay, I'm on my way. It's been a while since I've seen your beautiful face, oh and I have a surprise for you 3 Can't wait. - RECEIVED 7:00PM

*Can't wait either! - DELIVERED 7:00PM

"Maybe Naruto coming over will make me forget...?" She thought out loud.

...

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

*1 MESSAGE: Naruto~ ^o^: Look out your window. - RECEIVED 7:05PM

And with that, Hinata got up, walked straight towards the window and pulled it up, letting in all the window and the leaves inside. Not too far away she saw Naruto perched on a tree branch. "Hey Hinata." He greeted her as he jumped inside and closed the window shut after. "Hello, N-naruto." She smiled and he ran towards Hinata, squeezing her to death in a huge bear hug. "Oh Hinata, I missed you so much!" He said and kissed her on her cheek. "I missed you too, Naruto." She replied, hugging her lover tightly as well. "Oh Naruto, I'm going to go change really quick." Hinata blushed, noticing she was still in her training uniform. "Oh okay, heh, I'll wait here then." He smiled and sat down on her bed. After she closed the door, she ran to the closet and picked out her sleeping clothes. An oversized long sleeved top and pants with buttons on her shirt and little cloud sketch designs on it. She ran to the bathroom, changed and ran back to her room so she wouldn't keep Naruto waiting. She twisted the doorknob and opened the door to find out that Naruto wasn't there. "Naruto?" She called out, but no answer and that's when she saw it. Her window was wide open and her cellphone was on the bed, it wasn't the last place she had left it, too. "No, no, no!" Hinata whispered and she went to her bed but froze when she saw Kiba's name on the screen in the corner of her eye. "Kiba, no..."

*1 MESSAGE: Kiba: Hey Hinata, about that kiss earlier?... - RECEIVED 7:09PM

The text message explained everything. It explained why Naruto left her alone, why the window was open, why she was abandoned in her room. A single tear rolled down her cheek and after that, more started coming, overflowing her eyes and she could barely see. She didn't even move, but the tears kept coming. Never stopped. Knock! Knock! Knock! ...Knock! Knock! "Hinata?" Neji called out but when there was no answer, he busted through the door anyways. "Hinata don't you ignore me, you heard me calling you, now what's wrong?" He said, resting his hand on his cousin's shoulder. "N-n-neji," Hinata finally spoke, still not facing him. "Yes? What's wrong Hinata?" He turned her around to find his dearest cousin sobbing like no tomorrow. "Why are you crying?!" He demanded. "Naruto, he, he, left, Neji!" Hinata choked out during sobs and sniffs, and she hugged him tightly, crying on his gown. "Oh, I see..." He understood, and returned the hug.

Naruto's P.O.V. (earlier)

Since Hinata hung out with Kiba, I decided to hang out with Sakura today but I did text Hinata a few times to see where she was. When she told me she was at the forest, I begged Sakura to let me go see her, even if she told me specifically not to bother Hinata. "Sakura! Let's go to the forest please!" I whined. "Why? Is Hinata there? Naruto, I told you to leave her alone, she just wants to hang out with Kiba, so let her you idiot!" And of course, she punched me a few times..."Ow, what was that for?" I rubbed my now swollen head, shooting her a dirty look. "Because you're being an idiot, Naruto! And don't give me that look!" She yelled so loud. "Okay Sakura! Okay!" "Good, now let's go to Ino's flower shop." And she yanked my arm and we both walked to 'Ino Yamanaka's Flower Shop'. I was planning on buying Hinata a huge bouquet, especially since she loves Ino's flowers. When we got there, I asked for just that. "Hey Ino, do you think you can give me the biggest bouquet you have?" "Oh, the biggest? I had a few left, but people already ordered them over the phone, sorry." "When will you have more?" I questioned, clearly getting impatient. "Relax, Naruto." Sakura said, resting her hand on my shoulder. "Larger bouquets? I'd say tomorrow, or the day after that, why?" Ino pondered, putting her hand on her hip. "I-it's for Hinata, they're a thing you know?" Sakura chimed in. 'Thank goodness Sakura spoke for me, I probably would've sounded annoyed with Ino, even though I am right now.' I thought to myself. "Oh, really? I didn't know that, I'll try to get one as soon as possible for you Naruto, come by around 3:00 tomorrow, okay?" I was really dissatisfied at that point, but at least it was better than nothing. "Fine." I pouted and crossed my arms. "Haha, oh Naruto." Sakura blurted out. I sighed and started walking away, leaving them to whatever they wanted to discuss. "Hey, where are you going? You better not go see Hinata!" I bet half the village heard her. "Relax forehead, it's getting late anyways, we'd better get home, too." "Thank you, Ino." I said under my breath. I didn't notice it getting dark, though. I whipped out my phone and checked the time, 6:58PM! Hinata's "bedtime" was usually 10 or 10:30, if her father wasn't home. So, before it was too late, I texted her.

*Hey Hinata, is your father home? Maybe I can come over? 3 – DELIVERED 6:58PM

Zzzzzt!

*1 MESSAGE: Hinata-chan 3: You can come here, as soon as possible. 3 – RECEIVED 6:59PM

*Okay, I'm on my way. It's been a while since I've seen your beautiful face, oh and I have a surprise for you 3 Can't wait." - DELIEVERED 7:00PM

Zzzzzt!

*1 MESSAGE: Hinata-chan 3: Can't wait either! - RECEIVED 7:00PM

I ran faster than the speed of light, accidentally pushing and shoving anyone I passed by. Finally, after a few minutes of running, which felt like hours, I silently leaped on a tree and was now looking at her through the window, admiring her at every angle I saw.

*Look out your window. - DELIVERED 7:05PM

I instructed her and a few moments later, she did just that and I jumped on the edge of her window. "Hey Hinata. I said as I leaped inside and she closed it shut after me. "Hello, N-naruto." She greeted me as well and smiled. "Oh Hinata, I missed you so much!" I spoke softly and ran to hug her. I kissed her on her cheek too but I'm pretty sure I squeezed the life out of her. "I missed you too, Naruto." She gently spoke in my ear but suddenly let go and told me she had to go change and blushed wildly. 'You're so cute and you look perfect in anything' is what I wanted to say. "Oh okay, heh, I'll wait here then." I smiled and sat on her bed. When she left, I heard a series of ear-piercing 'beeps' and the source was coming from her phone, which was sitting on her counter. I silenced the noises by simply tapping on the screen to reveal one message by Kiba.

*1 MESSAGE: Kiba: Hey Hinata, about that kiss earlier?... - RECEIVED 7:09PM

"Kiss? They kissed?" My voice came to a whisper, though as furious as ever, it didn't' sound that way. Moments later, I heard Hinata's footsteps down the hallway. Before I could do anything I would soon regret, I threw her phone on the bed, pulled up the window and left the same way I came in, just not as happy. I felt a hot stream of liquid drip down from my eyes. I know one things for sure. "Kiba, you are so dead."

(A/N: Hey guys, here's a summary if you're confused on what's happening. Basically, Naruto snooped. But it was by accident and then lead into him reading that message. He's very overprotective of Hinata so that's why he reacted that way. Plus to begin with, he doesn't like Kiba at all for some reason. Also, to get out the way, I might've said this in Chapter 1 that they're dating, but they're not. It's like for example, if you liked someone, and they liked you back, and everyone's like, "Why don't you guys just date already?" basically that's them. Plus, Hinata's so shy, she really loves Naruto and he loves her, too. Just never know what's going to happen. If you were hoping this was a NaruHina, all I can say is...keep reading!
