Chapter 6: On Her Own: Stay Strong (song chapter, POV)

(A/N: The italics are lyrics from the song "Sorrow" by Flyleaf, also, it's better if you listen to the song while you're reading it instead of reading the lyrics within the story, personally. but i just did it that way cause odds are no ones going to search the song lol)

Disclaimer: I don't in any way, own Naruto or Naruto Shippuden.

Hinata sprinted towards the bushes and jumped tree to tree. The rumbling noises were now much more serious and it knocked her off branch she was standing on and she fell to the ground with a loud thud. Since the tree was so high up, she suffered a shock through her legs. Hinata yelped in pain when she felt it rush through her legs. Despite the fact that she couldn't walk, she did anyways, pushing herself to keep going. She used her Byakugan, veins carved at the side of her skull. "Byakugan!" Hinata said and there she saw it, Naruto in early Kurama form, Kiba beaten up pretty bad, too. "N-Naruto! She screamed and cried hysterically. "Naruto...Naruto...Naru..." Her voice trailed off. Darkness erupted and Hinata blacked out.

Her motionless body lied on the wet ground for quite some time before she attempted to get up. Hinata noticed her legs were still in pain, so she decided to heal her legs as best as she could. The glowing light seemed to illuminate the area with such power. She didn't want to spend too much time on herself, because not too far away, 2 people were in the midst of dying if they didn't receive proper attention. She made do with what she did and tried her best to sprint over there, as fast as she could. Once she reached Naruto, she lied next to him and saw how beaten up and bruised all over he was. Blood and scratches covered his entire body. Just feet away, she saw Kiba worse than Naruto! 'They must've fought really bad.' She thought.

(Sometimes life seems too quiet, empty paralyzing silence, like the moonless dark, meant to make me strong.)

As she knelt down next to Naruto, she put her head over his chest so she could feel and hear his heartbeat. Bump. Bump. Bump. Bump. He's breathing. 'He's breathing!' She thought happily to herself.

(Familiar breath of my old lies, change the colors in my eyes. Soon He will perforate the fabric of the peaceful by and by.)

Satisfied, Hinata got up and managed to walk further into the "crime scene". Once she reached Kiba, she knelt down and felt to find his heartbeat, too. Bump. Bump. Bump. Bump. 'They're both alive! I have to heal them quick.' Hinata thought.

(Sorrow lasts, through this night, I'll take this piece of You, and hope for all eternity. For just one second I felt whole, as You flew right through me.)

She put her frail hands in position over twisted up chest and started her medical jutsu, the aqua glowing light shined through the thick darkness and Kiba's wounds slowly started to subside.

(Left alone with only, reflections of the memory, to face the ugly girl, that's smothering me. Sitting closer than my pain, He knew each tear before it came. Soon He will perforate the fabric of the peaceful by and by.)

"I think he's healed enough. Oh Kiba, why did you do this?" Hinata whispered, thinking of the kiss. She crawled over to Naruto and did the same thing. "His wounds are much more difficult to heal." She noticed. More of her tears splashed onto his chest. "N-naruto, wake up please! Please w-wake up...I'm sor-r-ry... Naruto. If you can hear me, do something, please!" She pleaded and cried on his chest.

(And we kiss each other one more time, and we sing this lie that's halfway mine. The sword is slicing through the question so I won't be fooled by his angel light.)

Suddenly Hinata felt a hand stroke the back of her head. "H-Hinata..." A gasp escaped Hinata's mouth and she slowly lifted her head up to see Naruto trying his best to smile, his blue eyes half open.

(Sorrow lasts, through this night, I'll take this piece of You, and hope for all eternity. For just one second I felt whole, as You flew right through me and up into the stars.)

"Y-yes Naruto?" "It's alright, Hinata. Don't cry." He comforted her with his words as best as he could. "But I want to, I have to! You and K-kiba are hurt! What h-happened Naruto?" She pleaded.

(Joy will come.)

It was quiet for a while before Naruto finally spoke. "H-Hinata, do you..." "Y-yes?! Do I what? Naruto, stay with me!" Hinata begged, crying harder. Silence. "N-Naruto,please...!" Silence.

(Sometimes life seems too quiet, empty paralyzing silence, like the moonless dark, meant to make me strong.)

Naruto's P.O.V.:

"Kiba? Kiba! Where are you?!" I yelled regardless of the late hour. I wiped my wet face and continued to yell until he heard me. Finally, I saw him sitting under a tree with Akamaru close by. I approached and confronted him. "Kiba!" "Huh? Oh, hey Naruto." He waved and smiled as if everything was okay. "You, y-you jerk! What's wrong with you?!" I paced back and forth in front of him, trying to keep my cool. I did not travel all this way just to come find him and he tries to brush this off. "Huh? What are you even talking about? Nothing I guess?" He scratched his head, while I was rubbing my forehead in frustration. "I saw what you said to Hinata!" Kiba was beet red and his eyes shot open. "What are you saying?" "You heard me! You kissed her! My Hinata! Who gave you the right to do that?" I was in rage when those words came out. "Woah, Naruto! It was an accident, calm down!" Kiba explained himself but clearly it wasn't good enough because I clenched my fists. "It wasn't an accident. It was on purpose and you know it." I spoke clearly and Kiba was speechless. "Arf! Arf!" "Shh, Akamaru..." "I bet you'd probably kiss him too huh? Since that's what you're known for now I guess, just kissing people without permission. Here's one thing, stay away from Hinata." I got out before walking away. I was half joking and half serious about what I said, because Kiba's been my friend since we were little, I didn't want to lose him over a text message. Especially since I know he's not getting one from Hinata ever again and I'll make sure of it. It's just what he did, I could never forgive. "What did you say?" "What? I was just-" I tried to speak but within a second he punched me across my face, making me slam into a tree, breaking it right on impact.

ANGRY. That's what I was. No, angry couldn't properly explain it. FURIOUS! Yes, that's what I was. "Joking..." I finished my sentence under my breath before pulling out a kunai and charging at Kiba at full speed. He pulled out one, too. I didn't want to do this, so I midway I dropped my weapon and grabbed both of his wrists. "K-Kiba, stop! Look, we've been friends for a long time now and I'm not gonna let this end our friendship! I won't, I can't forgive you, not for what you did at all. But let's end the feud! You have it easy anyways! I've been shunned all my life. I'm a jinchūriki! I finally found someone who truly makes me happy and I just didn't want anyone to take that away from me." I struggled to say and Kiba's eyes shot open again, his kunai dropped to the ground and he settled down a bit. We both didn't even notice that it was still raining, but we didn't care at all. "Naruto..." His chakra was building, I could see it. His chakra triggered my Nine Tails' chakra, too, but I didn't know why. It was all so confusing. "No Kurama, not this time!" I yelled as my nails turned into sharp claws, my shirt ripped open, veins covering my body, and out of nowhere, Kiba flew about 30 feet and slammed onto the wet ground. Everything was happening too fast for me and I didn't quite understand anything that was going on. My body was in searing pain all over. "What's happening?" I looked into my hands and a few moments later, I ended up passing out from the pain. It was too much to handle.

I saw black...my body was aching but I'm alive. I felt a soft but heavy weight on my chest and muffled crying. It told me directions, it told me to say something if I could hear it. My eyes struggled to open but they did halfway and smiled when I realized the "it" was Hinata. My beautiful love, but it pained me to see her like this, to have her see me like this. Even through the pain, I lifted up my left arm and brushed her soft head of hair with my hand. "H-Hinata..." And she gasped lifting up her head slowly. My eyes staring into hers, as I tried to force a smile. "Y-yes Naruto?" "It's...alright, Hinata. Don't cry." I attempted to comfort her. "But I want to, I have to! You and K-Kiba are hurt! What h-happened, Naruto?" … "Hinata do you..." I was fading fast. "Y-yes?! Do I what?! Naruto, stay with me!" She cried, but I couldn't continue at all.

'Hinata, do you love me still?' I thought before I saw black again.

(A/N: Sorry if everything's is happening so fast. So far, Kiba just overreacted and felt disrespected which is why he retaliated to Naruto's comment with such anger. Keep reading if you want to know why that happened, what's going to happen after this ordeal and who Hinata ultimately ends up with at the end. Please review! ~ also, due to that pesky lonely anon leaving death threats on my story, I took off anon reviewing.)
