Chapter 8: Visiting Hours
(Part 1: The Explanation)

A book blocked the blonde teens face. "Mrs. Tai? Can you get me another apple?" Naruto asked and placed an eaten apple on a brown oak desk with 3 other apples eaten down to the core. "Naruto." "Yeah?" He flipped a page. "Put that book down and look who came to visit, you idiot." 'There's only one person who calls me an idiot...' Naruto thought and put the book down. "Oh, hey Sakura, TenTen, Neji. Why didn't you guys come sooner?" Naruto pouted. "Come sooner? Their visiting hours were closed earlier for you, and besides, you're lucky all four of us came anyways, you knucklehead!" "Four? One...Two...Three...I see three! Wait, you mean that...?" Naruto trailed off when Sakura moved to the left revealing Hinata. "Ta-da! Surprise!" Sakura smiled and so did Hinata. "Go on, Hinata." Neji whispered. He was actually smiling, too. A tear drop fell from her eye and onto the ground. "T-Thank you, all of you." She smiled and made her way over to Naruto and cried a little when she finally reached him. "Hey guys, can Hinata and I be alone for a few minutes?" Hinata looked up at Neji. The way she looked, so young, like a child, he couldn't say no. "Sure, but only a few minutes." He reminded them. "Bye guys!" Sakura and TenTen smiled. "C'mon Neji, let's go!" TenTen pushed him out and closed the door behind all of them. "N-Naruto-" "No, Hinata, I'll do the talking. You deserve at least an explanation." "Okay." She let him speak. "First off Hinata, do you love me?" "Yes, of c-course I do, why wouldn't I?" "I don't know. Maybe I'm just scared." "Scared? Of what?" "I love you so much Hinata, I don't ever wanna lose you. I just got really jealous and angry when I saw that text from Kiba that night." Naruto spoke in a hushed tone, as if the whole world was listening to him. He lifted up his left arm and put Hinata's hair neatly behind her ear and gently stroked and caressed her bruised cheek. "I was afraid you weren't interested in me anymore, I was afraid of losing you, I need you in my life. That same night, I left because I didn't wanna hurt you." "W-What do you mean?" "I didn't want to do anything I knew I would regret, like say something to you, so I left to go home to cool off and ended up finding him a few days later. When I did find him, I was still pretty upset but we didn't fight, it was the nine tails, it kept telling me over and over to "kill Kiba, kill Kiba", but of course I couldn't do that, he's my friend, but Kurama, he took over and Kiba, his chakra was triggered somehow, someway which triggered mine, the nine tails. So we didn't fight I could promise you that. I was in so much pain though, my chest, it felt cramped." Naruto spoke and Hinata's tear droplets landed on his covers but he didn't care about that. His thumb wiped them away. "Don't cry Hinata, it's alright now." He comforted her and planted quick pecks of kisses on her mouth, which made Hinata smile. "I'm sorry N-Naruto, please continue." "It's okay." He laughed at her cuteness. "I fainted once or twice and I felt you crying on my chest before I fainted the first time. I really tried to stay up but I was just in so much pain, I couldn't." "You were g-going to ask me something that night, w-what was it?" "I was gonna ask you if you still loved me, but you already answered so it's okay." He smiled. "Naruto, I do love you, a-and I would absolutely do anything for you. I cried that night b-because I thought you were upset at me, I thought it was a-all my fault. I still think it is. Y-yes Kiba did kiss me but you're the only person I want to kiss. H-He's been my friend for a while now, but it's you, Naruto. I-It's you I want." Hinata blushed and wiped her own tears away this time. "Hinata, it's not your fault at all, I swear. I went overboard, we should've just talked about this first." "Yes, we should have." "...And you said you only want me to kiss you, right?" "Y-yes." Hinata confirmed and giggled. Naruto grinned and used his hands to put each side of her hair behind her ears. He leaned in hesitantly, not sure where to kiss her first. Hinata just laughed at his predicament which made Naruto smile even harder. He leaned in and decided to kiss her lips, shocker. Hinata and Naruto's tongue's danced inside one another, both their eyes completely shut, enjoying the quick but great moment. He pulled away and grinned. "Wow, you're good." he winked, which made Hinata blush! "I'm glad you understand though, Hinata. I would never in a million years do anything that would hurt you in any way. I swear it." "And I believe you, Naruto, I-I do." "You only make me want to be a better person here on out, thank you for loving me." His signature grin erupted yet again and Hinata just smiled as her response, knowing that he knew that she loved him, too.
"Ahh..." A few moments later Hinata yawned. "I'm sorry!" "It's okay." Naruto laughed. "Are you tired? Wanna lay down?" He offered, already starting to scoot over before she even answered and lifted up the covers as well. "A-alright, that would be nice." She smiled and slid in, carefully put one leg after the other inside. "Ow..." Silently saying to herself, but not silent enough. "What's wrong?" "My leg, I-it's nothing, I just fell earlier, b-but it's nothing I can't fix." "Did I do that to you?" "N-No! It's fine, really Naruto." "No Hinata, it's not okay. I don't want my princess getting more hurt than you already are." Hinata smiled at the fact that he referred her as his 'princess'! "N-Naruto, It's okay. I can heal myself, it just takes time." "Okay, promise me you'll take care of it?" "I-I promise." And she yawned again. "Tired?" He joked, knowing she was. "J-just a little." "Let's get some sleep then." He put his left arm over Hinata's waist, gripping her tightly, her head resting on his bare, built chest. With her free hand, she reached down the cover and put his fingers between hers. Hinata smiled and looked up at him. "I love you, Naruto." "I love you more, Hinata." He smiled too, placing a kiss on her forehead. The light coming from the window shined through, birds chirping as well. It was a good day in Konoha. Hinata closed her eyes and within minutes she was already sound asleep. Naruto yawned and fell asleep shortly after. Knock. Knock. Knock. "Hello? Can I come in?" A muffled voice came from behind the door. Silence. Knock. Knock. "Hello?" Still no answer. A few seconds later, the door cracked open a little and Lady Tsunade's head popped in. When she realized the two were sleeping, she walked inside. She walked towards the window, standing right in front of it, examining Konoha from the 5th floor. The sun was shining so bright. "Ah." She exhaled as she scanned it from left to right. When she was done admiring, Lady Tsunade walked over to Naruto and Hinata. "Naruto's finally got someone, huh? There's a shock." She chuckled. Tsunade outstretched her arm and reached in to touch his 1st Hokage necklace she gave him many years back. "You're going to be a great Hokage, Naruto. Take care of Hinata, she's one of the good ones." Tsunade smiled.
(A/N: Hey guys! Hope you liked this one. Yeah it was short, sorry. (personal writing pet peeve: SHORT CHAPTERS!) Anyways SO FAR: Naruto apologized and Hinata forgave him, I guess. There's still more to the explanation and more with Hinata and Naruto. You're going to be in for a shocker but read until the end to know what's going to happen!
