Chapter 3 - The Day of Madness

Journal Entry #33: Signed by Gine; Age 753

Hi...uh, yeah, sorry old habits die hard, hm?

Sorry, I guess I should start from the beginning. Back when I was a young girl I knew a Saiyan called Bardock. He was a promising young soldier, someone I trusted with my life and I think I thought of him more than what a mate should. But...things didn't work out so well. Hanassia, the strongest female of our race, stole his heart and became one of the most feared Elites under our highness' command. While I was assigned to do recon missions with Captain Scallion I-...wait, this is too far back!

I'm sorry, so sorry!

Okay...I...I need to talk about it. I know it won't be easy, but what choice is there? So many are dead and what happened with Broly...uhhh, I'm not making any sense, am I?

Focus, Gine, Focus!

Instead of going over the aftermath...I think it'd be more appropriate to tell you what happened on today's mission. We were going into the fringes of Lord Cooler's controlled space. Like a line of planets it stretched from the rim next to the Central Quadrant. We had been using it like a navigational river to strike at potential planets The Freeza Force -what the Planet Trade is now called- intended on acquiring for bidding or personal use by the Evil Emperor himself. We've yet to hit a major planet in the North Quadrant where most of Freeza's assets lie within, but hitting his potential buyers and their "purchases" was enough.

Until now. We...went after a particularly advanced world that was within league of Cooler's trading routes. Unlike the normal clients for their Clan's business they supplied them with pliant materials for experimental ship designs and hull armor. From the communications logs of a ship we recently ambushed it seemed they were en route to gain rights to use some of their citizens, much to their chagrin, as part of Freeza's Army.

I was worried. This was a fully functioning world that more or less didn't have a militaristic interest in Freeza's Family's ventures. I didn't want us needlessly challenging a world that could have been peaceful, as strange as that sounds coming from a Saiyan. Then again, they never said I was fit for front line combat, especially when Bardock pulled me out of the line of fire a number of times.

The point being, it was both advanced and neutral in the grand scheme. But Paragus was convinced this was the day Broly display his prowess on the front lines. I know I have been a bit protective of the boy but having him fight and possibly annihilate a whole race could not only be threatening to his mortality...but his sense of morality that has been on a tentative tip.

I guess...I guess that's why things turned out the way it did...

Twenty Four Hours Prior, Konats Space

The sleek hull of the Banshou rumbled within its scuffed exterior. Shaped like its namesake, with flaring engines attached with a steering mechanism that looked uncanny to leaves, the spacecraft moved through space towards a particularly lush looking world. Through the dark side of the world lights glittered in a spiral shape to indicate the way their cities were made, right in the center of many rivers and large lakes. Keeping from seeing a good view was large intimidating oblong stations that rotated around the outside, numbering up to a dozen in scale. Cannons of large stature were dormant, not activated yet due to lack of readings the Banshou gave out thanks to stealth systems they borrowed and imbued into its circuitry.

With only a short period of time to spare, the Saiyaness pilot turned on the helm and adjusted a few levers as the vessel drew closer. Pulling on a chord above her, she pulled an archaic mouthpiece to her mouth to speak to the crew behind. She took a few moments to collect her thoughts before clicking the switch to allow her access to the ship's speakers.

"We're in bound to Konats. T- 2 Minutes till we depart to the nearest satellite!" Gine's voice came from the cockpit of the ship down to the hold. A number of Saiyans were outfitted with specially equipped battle armor, marked with the insignia of a golden hand emitting rays of light from the palm in a shield of black. With breathing apparatuses wrapped over their faces, leaving only their tufts of hair and eyes exposed, the hardy assemblage of Saiyan ravagers stood at attendance. With a red light blinking overhead, the counter continued to decrease in number, leaving only minutes for Paragus and Scallion to make their orders.

"You heard the Saiyaness!" The Captain barked out loud through his breather's radio receiver, syncing up with the others so they could communicate in the cold, silent space. "This will be our first mission in with Broly taking the lead. Give him back up and only engage if the opposition looks severe. Is that understood?"

"Yes sir!" The half dozen motley crew of Saiyan Brothers and Sisters cried out.

"I'll be able to administer an emergency link of Ki to you from here but you have to stay close to the ship. I can't augment and protect you if you get lost in space or decide to enter the planet's atmosphere too early," The wayward Saiyaness reminded over the speakers.

"Understood," Paragus replied, noticing the flashing red light grew quicker in repetition.

"Stay in group formation and don't stray too far apart from the Lead," She insisted over the comm.

"I think we'd know that by now," Paiya, the auburn haired Saiyaness grumbled with a visible twitch on her brows.

"Don't start eating the enemy in the middle of battle either!" She scolded once more, almost pointedly to one in particular.

"Hey!" Kabo began before his twin, Quan, interrupted, both burly sized Saiyans shouting at the same time. "That was one time!"

"If it was just the one time, there'd be no bearing to repeat it," Yasu, the mountain of a Saiyan, muttered lowly with a roll of his eyes.

"Is there anything else, Gine?!" Mat asked in an irritated tone, the young Saiyan's flat hair bristling with annoyance at the pilot's worrying.

"Yes. Make sure Broly doesn't get too far ahead. He hasn't led any missions before so-"

"We'll be fine, mom!" Broly drawled out, his taller and leaner form now standing shoulder to shoulder with the rest of his Saiyan comrades. While his face possessed some of his boyish attributes, the softness of his eyes he kept from his mother was only impeded by the Paragus scowl he inherited from his father. While he pouted at the sound of everyone howling with laughter at his choice of title for Gine, no one could blame him with how close he became to her.

"We'll be fine, Gine," Paragus assured, placing a hand on his son's shoulder while smiling up at the now still red light. "Trust in the Legend."

"Right," Gine whispered, not bearing witness to the opening of the cargo doors opening beneath their feet, allowing them to descend into the vacuum and take off in a stream of Ki flares. Liking a hail of shooting stars, they streaked towards their first target, a halo in the vista opening up to the habitable world and its orbiting satellites. Closing her eyes, she thought quietly to herself. "That's what I'm afraid of..."

When the first attack was made, the first station erupted into a brilliant fireball that was swiftly compressed on itself. Broly had made the first attack, quickly arcing through space to fire another emerald blast and created another detonation above Konats' atmosphere. From Gine's trailing view, she could see that he easily annihilated what looked like heavily fortified bases in three swift blows.

That was, until glistening lights appeared over the remaining stations that hovered protectively over the green-blue and grey spotted planet. Spreading outward with shapes of octagons emitted over thrumming barriers, Broly's next attack seem to scatter into a thousand sparks, dissipating harmlessly. When he launched five more blasts that were nullified just the same, the cannons opened fire at the diminutive targets.

"Its deflecting my Ki! Someone has to get through the shields!" Broly hailed over his comm, dancing away and deflecting the mammoth sized rays sent their way.

"Paiya!" Scallion called out, gesturing towards the nearest station. "Get through that shield and drain its energy. It should be easy for us to finish off with that out of the way."

"On it," The Saiyaness replied as she charged forward, Broly continuing to herald the guns' attention by repeatedly firing his Ki at it. When her wild haired head touched the shield, her whole body became a translucent teal hue and ghosted through the projection like diving into a pool. Flowing through particular cannon placements, their fire made her form shimmer but never erased as intended, eviscerating their circuitry on the inside as she passed through them. In a matter of seconds, every gun placement on the station was annihilated, allowing her to freely place her palms on the power generation located on the aft of the construct. "Draining its power. Going...going...and gone."

Like clockwork, the barrier was down, allowing the squad of Saiyans to unleash a barrage of Ki blasts that shattered the populated satellite.

"Repeat as before," Scallion ordered, trailing behind his mate as she took charge of the gun firing station not too far away from the one they demolished. "Let Broly attract its fire like before."

"Glad I can be a decent shield for you lot," Broly growled over the receiver, preemptively arcing his arm to blast the station blasts in mid-space. Watching Paiya make short work of the shield and its gun placements once more, it became apparent the outer defenses were made to fight off an invasion force and not a skilled raiding party. "If the world below doesn't have anything sporting a challenge I'm going to be really upset!"

"Calm down, Broly," Paragus laughed, flying only a handful of meters behind his child. "I think we'll have plenty of opportunity to engage them in combat."

"You really think so?" Broly asked dubiously, watching the station's defenses go down, allowing him to fire a pair of beams from his eyes at its weakest point. Without even waiting the station exploded, forcing their auras to defend them against the flying debris, with Paiya remaining in her ghostly state until the blast had fully died down.

"I'm sure," Paragus confirmed, just before getting a chime from Mat. "Yes?"

"Boss, I think I see something coming from the planet," Broly's peer noticed as he saw a number of white lights shoot up from the densest populated area.

"Planet Defense firing already? I didn't think we were in range," Scallion mused out loud, turning to look down at the world, seeing an aurora of energy coasting up to meet them. Swiftly if he had time to comment.

"No," The Legend whispered, his bored expression suddenly turning excited with a wide smile bearing a feral set of teeth. "They're life forms!"

Broly's father could tell that he spoke the truth. As if they rose up like divine guardians the Konatsian warriors seemed to look less like a standard space-faring warrior and more like regal knights in shimmering silver dyed metal. Spiraling grooves that bristled with a bright azure light was engraved into their armor, disc shaped pauldrons crackling with energy with cross-slit helms securing their heads to protect them from the vacuum. Large metallic wings were extended from their back, easily two meters in length when fully extended at either flank. Weapons such as runic swords were sheathed on their backs while they hovered in mid-space with gauntlet covered bare hands to bear against their enemies.

"Turn back now, pirate scum!" The Lead Konatsian, bearing winged circlets on the temples of his helmet, muttered with disdain not through a vocally heard voice. But one that echoed through their minds.

"Psychic Projections," Mat radioed from his end, staring at them warily. "Their Ki is pretty substantial up close. But I've never seen weapons and armor like theirs..."

"They're antique!" Kabo barked out with a laugh, his brother snarling over his receiver with his knuckles crackling within an open hand. "These guys have never fought Saiyans before! It should be fun taking these guys apart!"

"Maintain the objective!" Scallion hissed with a wave of his hand. "We were here to dismantle their defenses, not to be distracted by our opponents!"

"I wonder if we have that option available," Yasu murmured as he gauged each of the winged Konatsian Knights hovering before them.

"You've been warned, invaders," The Konatsian Knight Captain murmured within the forefront of their minds, further disturbing them by their telepathic shouts. Reaching up with his right hand, metal digits wrapped around his upturned sword hilt, slowly pulling it out of its scabbard. "You will not be warned again!"

"Orders, Broly?" Paiya asked almost quietly, wondering if the space stations even mattered.

Broly had a lot to consider, given the circumstances. On the one hand they had destroyed a quarter of the planet's orbiting defenses and they sent by his count nearly a dozen of these feudal looking warriors. He could feel their Ki and from his experience they felt subdued by a margin. What's more, he saw that the technology empowering their suits wasn't standard, just like the shields that dispersed his Ki.

Still, his Saiyan instincts told him to fight and test their mettle. His blood practically screamed to cut loose against the enemy. Years of pent-up aggression of not being able to fight a substantial enemy had been clawing into his nerves. Now it reached its peak and his eyes were practically staring with hunger, unintentionally allowing his Ki to rise up to its maximum Base Potential; burning rivulets of emerald with snapping tendrils of white dancing around his uplifted hair and around his defined muscled form.

"You guys," Broly began to speak, his voice losing its calm composure everyone knew him for, now replaced with a raspy, barely restrained edge. A smile, still present, made the scene of him commanding them all the more unnerving. "Take care of the satellites. I'll fight them!"

"By yourself? Surely you must be-"

"Paiya," Scallion calmly cut his mate off, jerking his head at the stations still blinking and rotating in the distance. "He's right. If we start a fight, there's a chance we could get boxed in by those guns. With them operational, they could be more of a threat than these tin cans."

"We'll handle them quickly," Yasu clapped his arm over his chest, bowing respectfully to the aspiring youth. "Leaving the Legendary Super Saiyan to them seems only fitting. They'll regret standing in the way of the Disciples of Galick!"

"Aye," Paragus agreed, if only halfheartedly. Casting a single glance at his son's aura and the expression on his face it was a look he only saw a few times in his childhood. The look of unabated lust for battle and violence. Of all the Saiyans he's known or trained, having been with his son most intimately, he could only compare this legendary figure to that of a monster. A true Saiyan, embodying their best and their worst attributes. "Let's go quickly. I don't want to miss seeing my son finish them off."

In a single motion, all of the present Saiyans ignited their auras, darting back away from the angelic armored Konatsians. Leaving Broly on his own, Paragus took one look back at his son before driving forward to the next target. As the heat of the attacks began driving at them, he danced through the star-lit vacuum before driving a strong fist into the enormous turret affixed to the construct.

"Be careful, Broly. I don't know what kind of foe you're facing," His father prayed inwardly, scatter shooting a number of drones that were deployed from the satellite to face the horde of intruders. Watching them explode, he briefly noticed a flash of light in his periphery where his son was fighting. Dismissing his battle from his mind, he continued fighting as his thoughts finished. "But whatever you do, retain your sense of control. Do not lose yourself to your hungry blood!"

...I don't honestly know what Paragus was thinking when he let Broly fight on his own. While my ship was hardly armed, myself only being useful by keeping close and using my Ki to protect them should the time come, I was helpless. Watching him fight what looked like a band of holy warriors out of a fairy tale book I could scarcely take my eyes off him.

Before I could even try to bypass their radio silent connection to get to him, his battle was already ignited to new levels of treacherous. Both for himself, and everyone around him.

"HA!" Broly cried out behind his respiratory mask, unleashing a bodily wide Kiai that sent the armored warriors reeling. There was twelve of them but he knew his abilities, his skills and his training. He could handle this kind of threat.

When one winged Knight unleashed a wide blaze of blue flames from one hand, Broly's instinct was to create a barrier to mitigate it. Despite the meager level of Ki compared to his own, he felt the heat lap through the thin shield of Ki he created. Swinging both arms to cross over his chest, an orb of emerald Ki was primed over his crisscrossed limbs.

As a pair of enemies leaped towards him, swords brandished, he infused the orb of Ki into his limbs to parry the weapons. Even though his forearms were able to skillfully redirect the weapons, the same affect the satellites had projected came in the form of lacerations over his dark sleeved Saiyan Battle armor. The jabs of pain however didn't dampen his fervor, allowing him an opportunity to double jab his fists into the metal collars of his targets, causing them to buckle and warp but not be crushed entirely.

"Their attacks are negating and weakening my own. What kind of technology is allowing them this feat?!" Broly thought with frustration, barely noticing an incoming Knight on his left. Grappling a side-swiping chop towards his neck, he twirled around and smashed him into another charging Knight. When a Konatsian warrior grasped his heels from underneath, he felt himself growl as he was hefted around and throttled into a charging Knight with a sword aiming to plunge into his chest. As a counterattack, he sent his own telepathic cry into his adversary's mind, simultaneously gesturing with both arms to halt him nary but a handful of meters. "I WON'T LOSE SO EASILY!"

"A Psychic?!" The Konatsian replied with bewilderment, now being heard by Broly's own opened mind. Seeing his sword stopped, he tried to jerk away but was helpless to receive a brutal blast of Ki that scalded his armor and sent him tumbling back helm over heels.

Firing a beam of Ki into the face-slit of his enemy below, he twisted around and punched away three more aggressors, each one thunderously shocking them backwards. Eyes gleamed with a malevolent intent, enough to make them halt their continuous assault on him. A guttural laugh worked its way up from his throat and echoed his breather, unheard by them but clearly visible enough to be offset.

"I am a Saiyan," Broly announced psychically, proudly waving his arms at the now cautious group of enemies that were weathered or injured by his attacks. "Your weird weapons and armor can only protect you for so long from my legendary wrath."

"A Saiyan? Didn't Lord Cooler report to the High Council that they perished in an unfortunate accident?" One Knight asked telepathically to another.

"They were supposed to, but I guess a few survived. Woe to the Universe for that," A second grated out with vehement displeasure at the sight of the Saiyan before them.

"What should we do, Captain?" Asked a third, looking to the Knight with winged circlets on his helmet. "We've suffered some injuries and the other Saiyans are destroying our defensive batteries. Should we regroup with the army back on planet?"

"No," The Konatsian Knight responded solemnly, raising his sword to visibly divide his stoic metal framed visage. "We are the Knights of Rao. We will not yield and not flee. Fighting this Saiyan is our duty and to keep him at bay long enough till our world is protected."

"Nice speech," Broly snarked mentally, raising a hand towards him and by effect, the planet behind him. "But will that really save your world if I fire at it. I'm sure with enough force I can make Planet Vegeta's destruction look like a firework display. Care to test your mettle against me?"

"You're just a barbaric evil, needing to be vanquished," The Knight Captain snarled back, silently ordering his brothers to gather behind him to form a wall of steel and bodies next to him. "Just like all monsters!"

"Wrong," Broly breathed out in his respirator, his smile vanishing as his eyes grew cold. "You're the real monsters. I am my race's last hope. I am their God. You...are just ants beneath my feet!"

One instant later, and a marble sized ball of Ki was sent their way with a flick of a finger. Through remote control, the dot grew to the scale of a meteor, easily surpassing the scale of his enemies in mass and power. Using his mind as much as his pointed arm, he laughed victoriously at seeing his Ki blast envelop his enemies.

Beyond his sight, each Knight put up a formidable fight against the planet wrecker. Pulsing waves of porous energy jettisoned like gas from their armor, burning like deep blue flames across their swords or palms respectively. One by one their armors shattered, cracking apart before they were disintegrated down to an atomic level. The defense of Konats was crumbling as assuredly as their numbers.

"No...!" The Knight Captain growled, summoning more strength not just from his own Ki, or even his obscurely crafted armor. A vast surge of strength gathered from all around and into his body, like a vessel overflowing with a river of light. Such was the case that his whole armored being glistened brightly just as the wings mounted to his back plates were shattered, giving him the strength to push on as the last of his Konatsian brothers perished in the flame of Broly's attack. "Oh Well Of the Universe...Fill Me Up...With The Bounty Of Life...AND MAKE ME VICTORIOUS!"

With his chant sung, his sword cleaved deep into the orb of Ki, causing it to shatter into a million of harmless sparks. The enchanted warrior, still bathed in a deep aurora of raging Ki, heaved with effort but maintained his zeal. Staring on at Broly, whom he struck speechless, he took up position to counterattack.

"My Omega Blaster was deflected?" Broly thought with a look crossing shock and incredulously born outrage. Seeing the sword-toting enemy still standing, despite the other eleven being crushed, he wondered inwardly just before his sword slashed the space between them. "Where is he getting that unending Ki from?!"

In a single sword stroke, a blade edged beam of deep blue flames was unleashed towards him. It didn't take long for the Saiyan to manifest a circular barrier of light green rays to deflect the attack. Seeing it bathed in the continuously waving blast made his brows sweat with concentration. When the bubble webbed out, cracking with invading pressure, his eyes widened at the sight.

"SHIT!" He swore out loud, his arms crossing in front of his face and the precious respirator keeping him alive. Seconds later an eruption of pain flooded his system, such a foreign kind of anguish he hadn't felt in all of his years. He yelled out so loud the mask resting over his mouth broke as a result of his voice's sonic projection.

It seemed to be over in a single attack for the Konatsian Knight. He had swung his Holy Edge attack at his target. From the distance between them he could see a burning cut stretch up his torso and halted just over his bracing arms that were less cut and now more burned. His whole upper torso was exposed with the armor having dampened the blow of the attack but still permeated with steam. Without his breath assist equipment, he knew the Saiyan was done for.

Or it had seemed.

"Bastard!" Broly thought as he uncrossed his arms, revealing an infuriated mask of pain filled anger. Teeth bared eyes began to switch to glistening emeralds instead of defining onyx dots. His hair turned up on their ends, his teal mantle became a golden projection from his more muscular body. A loud roar ripped from his newly oxygenated throat, his Ki seeming to flow out of the vacuum like an ocean of life filling the void, blistering at the Knight's own now dimming glowing armor. "I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET THAT!"

The Knight Captain was taken aback. It was surprising enough this tail deprived alien was a Saiyan but his aura and Ki quality had changed entirely. Mind boggling how he had created a localized area in a vacuum that sustained air to allow him to project sound from his own throat. The most terrifying fact was that his power had increased exponentially to a point where it dwarfed the Konatsian's own.

"This can't be...what are you?!" The Psychic Warrior asked through a telepathic shout, his grip on his sword's hilt shaking to the point of almost losing it.

"I'M THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN!" Broly growled in a grated tone, teeth gnashing with every word he spoke. This became woefully apparent when his body seemed to instantly be a hair's breath from the armored entity's face, breathing out a dangerous whisper. "You're dead!"

Recoiling from the sudden burst of speed, the swordsman backed up and swung his blade across the glowing space where his target lied. Seeing it pass through what looked like a distorted after-image, he felt his shoulders grabbed from behind, slamming his back plates into Broly's bare skin. Swung head over heels the Knight was sent full force back at the most notably metropolitan area of the planet, creating a stream of orange flames to curl around him in his rapid atmospheric reentry.

He desperately writhed for control in the air, feeling the momentum of his fall slow only by a fraction of the speed. Screams of the fleeing populace were mute to his ears, only hearing the roar of his unintended descent. His vision was marred but he could tell that the ground was coming into view, with only seconds to halt his fall and his imminent collision into Konats' streets.

Instead, the cityscape vista blurred by fire was interrupted by a blur of golden light projecting muscle. One arm was extended as Broly rapidly ascended to his burning, incoming target. Hitting him across the breastplate with his left arm, an ungodly shriek of metal being crumpled and torn in half. As the flames were defused, an elliptical flash of solar Ki radiated across the skyscrapers of the Konats' city, shattering windows for kilometers around while causing some infrastructure to be ripped apart by kinetic vibration.

The entire event obscured the bifurcation of torso's two halves, one with its upper half flipping head over bloody stump while the other stump over twitching heel. With the corpse of the dying Konatsian doomed to fall among his alert brethren below, the Super Saiyan took the time to admire flesh blood and strands of innards lying across his arm to his shoulder. Even his face had spatters, soon wiped away and licked into his mouth, giving way to a now maniacal laughter that echoed the city.

"Give me more!" He rang out, his hands priming emerald hued spheres that compressed in on themselves to form Eraser Cannons in either palm. "I want to see more blood! I want to hear more screams! C'mon and send your best; let them be slaughtered by my hands!"

I was tracking his progress from my long-range comms, hearing the signals of various Konatsian authorities and soldiers rally towards the point of assault. What started out as a orbital raid turned into a planetary attack. Broly's immense power combined with his new found fury was about to surely destroy the planet.

With us in its blast radius.

I warned Paragus of what transpired, knowing they must be close to finishing off the satellites. It didn't matter. That boy was losing himself and needed support. He needed his father.

I just wished I was there too...so what happened next didn't hurt him so much...

"Broly," Paragus breathed out, breaching the atmosphere in seconds after being briefed by Gine of the situation. The mission be damned, if he cut loose with them in the crossfire they'd all die. Konats and the Disciples. "What the Hell are you doing?!"

"I told you it was too risky!" Paiya shouted with frustration, her eyes affixed apprehensively of the sight they found themselves seeing from high up in Konats' skies. Lime colored explosions of Ki reduced opposition against Broly to cinder and ashes. The city itself was being cratered, flames spreading too quickly for bystanders to escape and defenders to take cover from.

It was an all-out extermination that only continued to spread.

"I think I know the reason why we never had our savior use his Super Saiyan power in a personal battle until now," Scallion growled, turning to glare at Paragus' aggravated expression. "He wasn't ready yet! Why didn't you get a handle of him like you said, Paragus?!"

"Do you think I haven't tried?!" Paragus retorted with a twist in the air, his gaunt face a look of pure frustration that only fitted to be mingled with panic. The flashes of green continued to opaque his normally tanned complexion, crashing the planet relentlessly without end to the attacker's fervor. "I spent years since his birth to prepare him to take upon his birthright. He was perfect in everything. Intelligence, skill, martial might. He had all it could take to beat Freeza and his insidious father! The only thing I could never do was control him..."

"Well, if you have a plan, we should do something while we have time to do it," Yasu commented, watching Broly ravage the planet as he continued his one-man trip of destruction across the horizon.

"A-Alright," The father of one hesitatingly accepted his role. Sighing, he looked over at Scallion and nodded to him, silently ensuring that they'd be close by. Engulfing himself at max power he launched across the world with his team lingering close behind.

Reaching Broly wasn't hard but it sure felt dangerous. Diving into the heart of destruction, just one of the last cities that had been established was on fire. Bodies of more Konatsian Knights to leather studded soldiers lied maimed, bloodied or turned to ash covered skeletons. Citizens also were lying half buried or in display, their own husks kindling to the flames that created a hazy orange glow that became redundant across the planet's more civilized regions.

Currently, Paragus could see his son holding a particularly noteworthy native bearing what was once regal robes by the neck. Burned or marred by his own blood, the Super Saiyan was slowly choking the life from him. Even from this distance he could hear a quiet laugh that became of one relishing in the other's pain. He was now purposefully toying with them, drawing out as much suffering as he could.

"It makes sense now," The Saiyan leader thought as he noticed lacerations and burns marring the empowered son of his, mostly across his arm and his abdominal region. "Broly, you were never put into the thick of battle where the danger could be certain. You were always used as support and only helped us in a pinch. Leaving you not only was foolhardy of me but sheltering you from true combat was idiotic! You've lost any semblance of discipline and control; now you're nothing more than a rampaging monster, hellbent on savagely extracting your revenge on those who pained you."

A pained gurgle followed by a gruesome snap woke Paragus out of his silent reverie. The neck having been erased with a powerful squeeze, the Konatsian's head popped upward before falling undignified backward while his body fell with a silent smash into the earth below. Covered in fresh gore, the hand of Broly wetly clenched, charging a large amount of Ki within his hand.

Yelling out with a barking laugh, he sent the Blaster Shell crashing into a mountain vista, erasing it along with tens of kilometers of beautiful landscape. Fire spread outward with the shockwave everyone got jolted with. Another attack and another distant spot along the planet was leveled. The only thing that remained consistent beyond the unyielding destruction was an insane cackle exiting Broly's throat.

As Scallion turned to look at Paragus, he saw only a fading afterimage. Letting out a gasp of shock, not knowing the man to have moved so swiftly before, he heard the faint echo of silence following the bout of swift movement. Looking over at Broly, he saw Paragus holding his arm back while another was wrapping around his neck in a headlock.

"Calm down, Broly," Paragus intoned with a low growl, already feeling his stunned son begin to struggle by the sudden unwarranted grapple. His own strained grunts were falling on deafened ears as the Legend continued to howl with indignation, doing his best to shake off his own father. Powering up to his maximum, wreathed now in a bright lime colored aura, Paragus shouted in his child's right ear. "Don't make me say it twice! Calm! Down!"

"I-Incredible!" Mat cried out with eyes bulging from his sockets at the wondrous sight of older Saiyan's power hitting him in waves. His own Ki clashed with his son's, creating a myriad of flashes that crackled in the air while Broly's howls dimmed his father's growls of utmost effort. "P-Paragus is actually holding back Broly, even when he's the Super Saiyan!"

"It is," Paiya breathed out quietly, gulping at the pressured breeze that lapped across them as Paragus wrestled his son towards submission.

"That's our Paragus!" Quan laughed haughtily, followed by Kabo's fist pump with enthusiasm. "Not even his son can best him!"

"Wrong," Yasu murmured, his eyes twitching at the sensation of power coming from the Legend. "He's not overpowering him. He's doing his best not to be crushed by his own son."

"He's right," Scallion gasped, his whole body trembling as he properly gauged his superior to his spawn. "There's no doubting that...if Paragus didn't opt to restrain him instead of attacking him...he'd be dead right now!"

As the closest in age to Broly, Mat found himself feeling a sudden plummeting of dread drown him at hearing this. Turning to look with trepidation, the strong arm holding back Broly's was now shaking violently. Inches by the second the Legendary Super Saiyan pulled his arm forward till only fingertips touched his upturned triceps. Then, they slipped, as did Paragus.

"UNHAND ME!" Broly shouted with a cry, thrusting his elbow back towards Paragus.

It was like the whole world turned to multi-color and then faded into black. His eye socket was drilled by the much larger elbow, causing a splatter of blood to spew from the crushed orifice. His jaw was open and slacked, a spatter of emerald light crackled around the point of impact showing that Gine's protective field had buffeted what it could before he was damaged entirely. Spiraling down into the desolated city below, all were shocked at seeing his form crashing into a burning structure before lying quiet and inert.

"Commander!" Mat cried out, almost leaping down to his side but was held back by the larger Yasu. Struggling, he shouted back at him. "Let me go, Yasu!"

"Don't make any sudden moves. Broly may find any reason to kill you as he is now," The burly Saiyan replied with a low toned grunt, easily holding back the younger psychic with ease.

Turning to look up, he saw the golden wreathed young Saiyan almost overshadowed by a haze of blood lust. It wasn't anything like he saw before. Blood turned cold and his skin sweated at the sensation of darkness emanating off his friend. A nightmarish blankness came from what used to be bright eyes, erasing any impressionable irises with a glazed coating of madness that had consumed him.

Broly was gone. All that remained was the Legend.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Broly laughed with uncontrollable fever, arms held back with a victorious spread. His power came off him in waves that seemed something out of a monstrous storm. All the airborne Saiyans could barely keep their postures in the sky, feeling only the booming, carnal toned voice that pierced his own aura projection. "NO ONE CAN STOP ME NOW! I'LL ANNIHILATE ANYONE WHO STANDS UP TO ME! AND THEN, WHEN I HAVE NO ONE LEFT TO KILL, I'LL DESTROY THIS PATHETIC PLANET!"

"Dammit!" Scallion growled out, his body engulfed in a teal colored wave of Ki that soon multiplied with wave after wave of indigo bolts dancing around his muscular form. His pony tailed widow peak danced under the intensity of his own power as he engaged his own multiplier technique to its highest extent. As veins bulged around his body he looked behind himself at the others and barked out his orders. "We have to go to Plan B. Mat, restrain Broly with your Psychic Grip. Kabo and Quan, find a way to keep him off balance. Paiya, drain his energy. I'll keep his attention!"

"Wrong," Yasu droned out, causing the empowered Captain to briefly cock a look of surprise at the hulking comrade of his. "We'll hold his attention. The two of us should be enough."

"No argument here," Scallion nodded with agreement.

"T-This is insane!" Mat exclaimed, finding himself turning left and right. Paiya's own form turned into a ghostly teal hue, Quan and Kabo powered up to colorless silver with Yasu brimming with a bright cobalt. "He's our friend! Can't we snap him out of this?!"

"Idiot! That's what Paragus just tried to do!" The superior officer snapped at his subordinate, waving his hand. "This isn't about us killing another. This is survival. If we let Broly do as he pleases, this world will be destroyed and we won't escape that blast radius in time!"

"It's for the best we do all we can to subdue him through force," Yasu followed up, his eyes now turning to the much more aware Super Saiyan. "Trying to incapacitate him will mean nothing to him. Fighting to the death is what we should do. Paragus was too soft on his own son and that costed him dearly. Now we have to do what the Commander couldn't. End of story."

Bowing his head, Mat gritted his teeth and balled his fists. When a turquoise light rose up from his own pores, the rest of the Saiyans grouped up and readied themselves for the charge. The psychotic killer set his sights on them and spread his smile from ear to ear, his symmetrical bangs waving in animated movement from his own bleeding yellow aura. The arrays of colors set before him were nothing but a dull grey and his vision could only be colored by blood.

Pointing his finger at Scallion, he guttural declared with a sickening smile on his face, "YOU! I'LL MAKE YOU MY NEXT VICTIM!"

"You can try! HAAAAAAA!" Scallion roared out, kicking off the air and flew at him at max speed. Followed close behind by Yasu, he rushed forward and launched a series of punches to kicks to strike at the powerful opponent. Each one felt like a continental explosion localized by square inches of impact, each one making contact with expansive muscle and glowing skin. Despite being forced back by each shockwave, Broly still wore that smile, almost sarcastically feigning injury with every hit touching him. "Wipe that smile off your face!"

Lazily, Broly headbutted the man through his guard, sending him tumbling back. Passing by the other Yasu throttled a palm thrust into the Super Saiyan's torso. Releasing his hold on the man, a glowing imprint in the shape of a palm print was shown, crimson in tint as it glowed brightly. Followed by a magnanimous explosion, the form of the young Saiyan was enshrouded by the wide detonation.

"Let's go!" Kabo and Quan cried out in unison, flying in circles around the explosion as it dimmed. The seemingly unhurt Broly was assaulted by a number of rapid shots by either brother, ricocheting off him as he eyed each Saiyan appraisingly. Raising both hands, Blaster Shells began to be primed by an audible whine. It was when he felt his arms freeze in place that the Super Saiyan turned to look at Mat, whose own Ki it form stretched out hands mnemonically to extend his Psychic hold on him.

"Gotcha!" Paiya cried out from behind the Legend, wrapping her arms over Broly's taut arms and legs with her own. As her translucent self she easily began to meld with the immense energy he gave off of. This caused her own power projection to skyrocket, bleeding out from the back to keep from overloading her own molecular structure. "Captain! Hit him! Now!"

"Right!" Scallion affirmed with a shout, rushing with Yasu towards the struggling Saiyan. When his fist struck Broly's face, he saw that he actually managed to draw blood, causing both himself and his target to gape with disbelief. Following up with more blows, Yasu struck with explosive hits of his own that blasted against his vast body repeatedly. This gave way to howls to the immovable Super Saiyan, feeling more and more pain instilled into his being while restrained to take it.

"That's it! We're doing it!" The Saiyan Captain thought with fierce rise of morale. He saw the brothers rush by, hitting Broly in his flanks, doing all they could from him focusing. Mat's Psychic Stasis he placed on him kept from moving against them. Paiya's energy drain continued to lower his defenses and drain him of his Super Saiyan power.

Then, an unexpected hail occurred on their comm.

"What the Hell is going on?! Why are you planet side? This isn't part of the plan!"

"Gine," Scallion realized with a start, shaking his head as he renewed his assault at Broly's body. "Stay in orbit! We're...handling a crisis at the moment!"

"I can see that, Captain!"

"Oh no," He murmured, looking over his shoulder, noticing the familiar outline of the Banshou descending towards their location. "No-No-No! Stay away! That's our only way off this doomed rock!"

"Is that Broly? Why is he transformed? I felt something wrong with all of your Ki so I drew closer to strengthen our li-...oh Galick," Gine breathed out, suddenly feeling a distinct low signature. She knew it as Paragus but for it to be this low it had to mean only one thing. When she magnified the imaging of Broly she gasped and looked at them all with shock. "W-What's going on? Why are you hurting Broly?!"

"Gine, now isn't the time to-"

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" A loud thunderous yell sounded off, causing Scallion to be blown back by a sudden explosion of Ki. When he regained his bearings, the sudden loss of Paiya was made clear when there wasn't any sign of her around. She was blown away by the Ki and her body couldn't hold itself together with such a large amount of Ki output.

Mat was bloodied by being the closest to the blast, barely holding his arms up as Broly lowered his arms from the effort. While the Legend was exerted from his stunt, he looked more than angry at the rest of them to keep fighting. Slowly approaching the scared and hurt second youngest Saiyan of their squad made Scallion jerk and move with lightning reflexes.

Striking Broly across the jaw with a hard right hook, the Captain thrust a foot into his gut making the Super Saiyan bend over. Roundhouse kicking him to his downed cranium, he primed a powerful surge of Ki while his body allowed it. Stretching it out forward, he shouted out in synchronous to his attack, "Wrecker Shot!"

When his violet colored fissure of Ki hit Broly, the the latter of the two leaned into it willingly. Turning to the left, his arm swatted the Ki beam to the side, causing it to careen into the landscape below with a powerful aftereffect of roiling flames that further destroyed the planet's crust. Unaffected by the blast other than wafting steam coming from the shoulder to wrist, the Legendary Super Saiyan thrust his arm forward, piercing through the man's gut and out his back to penetrate the mid-air Mat's waist.

"WASTE OF SPACE!" Broly roared out, unleashing a blast of light that eviscerated his enemies form the inside out, atomizing them into nothing but dust. When he caught sight of Yasu trying to attack him from behind, he turned on his heel in the sky and double-hammered him into the head. Watching his cranium explode into bloody bits caused him to laugh, caking his already scabbed fingers in more red. Seeing Quan and Kabo unleash Ki attacks that bounced off him, he charged two more Blaster Shells in either hand. "YOU CALL YOURSELVES SAIYANS?! YOU CAN'T BE! SAIYANS ARE THE STRONGEST WARRIORS IN THE UNIVERSE! YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN TRASH! THE COSMOS WILL THANK ME FOR WIPING OUT WHAT'S LEFT OF YOUR PATHETIC EXISTENCE!"

Hurling both Blaster Shells, he watched them chaotically dance through the sky before finding their place on each of the brothers. Like nuclear blasts overlapping each other in the color of green, he laughed manically at the flames that lapped harmlessly over his wounded yet tired frame. To him, the bodies of Ki had dimmed to a minute fraction and that included all those within a close vicinity.

Except for his father.

In his insanity he didn't see him as that but just as another target. Turning to look down at the place he had sent him he grinned sadistically at the unconscious Saiyan. Raising a palm he began to prime a Blaster Shell around his palm, the high pitched whine of his Ki compressing into a fist sized ball continued for the seconds that passed. Howling with laughter he prepared to annihilate the last of his own blood he had left.

Then, he heard a hauntingly familiar voice.

"Broly!" Gine shouted, her body embroiled in her own bright green mantle of Ki as she approached him. Having left the ship hovering in lower orbit, she decided this was the only option she had to stop this nightmare. If not by force or restraint, then by a crazier alternative. Through compassion. "Can you hear me, Broly? I'm here."

"W-Who?" The young Saiyan's voice quivered through the guttural tone. Vision was a haze and the woman that hovered not too far away from him looked distinctly familiar. Gently glowing she reached out with a calm smile, causing his own features to be stricken with remembrance. "No...you...you can't be her. Mother...I...I killed you!"

"You don't need to be angry or afraid," She quietly told him, approaching him in inches as to keep him from lashing out unnecessarily. "You remember the Disciples, right? Your comrades. Your father, Paragus?"

"F-F-Father?" Broly stumbled over his speech, his eyes slowly starting to peel back the layers of blood lust that had clouded it. His breathing steadied and his transformation began to ease up. He backed away from Gine, disoriented by the strain the fight had placed upon him as well as cautious to her. "S-Stay away! I-I'll-"

When she embraced him around the middle, her Ki awoken the supplement she had hidden within him just as she did the others. It was a calming thrum that slowly anchored his Ki back to where it came from. The stores that made up his Super Saiyan power were slowly withdrawing and defusing around his inflated body structure.

Eyes no longer blank turned briefly to green and then to onyx. His hair fell flat back upon his sweaty scalp. The blood soaked Saiyan took in the pain and then the memories of what had happened. In all his anger he killed the ones closest to him along with most of those on this world. Tears filled up his eyes and a shuddering cry came over him. Injured arms wrapped around Gine as he buried his face into her neck, wailing heavily at the toll of what this battle had wrought on him.

"It'll be okay, Broly," Gine whispered as she rubbed his back, being the bearer of Broly's sadness and weariness, doing her best to hold back her own tears at the tragedy that had occurred here. "I'll make sure things are set right. Your father is still alive...and I'll do my best to keep you both safe. I promise."

"Th-Thank you," Broly murmured as he kept hold of her. "Mom."

That was practically a day ago.

What was once a mission like any other, we plunged into an unknown and trusted Broly could handle himself. We had no idea the enemy could trigger a complete meltdown of his Super Saiyan nature, nor make him lose his mind completely. He had never acted that way, transformed or not and it terrified me that he could become so callous to life around him. It was like he was a different person altogether.

I don't know if our ancestors would praise his worth as a warrior or be shamed by his absurd lack of control.

Regardless, I managed to tend to Broly's wounds which had been surprisingly significant. It was most likely the cause to his anger having never been put into such close danger due to Paragus' insistence. Though I'm sure he didn't mean to, his protective nature to his son has caused him to be too isolated to combat's true horror.

That reminds me.

Paragus is barely stable and I don't know how long basic medical supplies will keep him alive. Thankfully I know a scientist we had...erm...acquired months back. There was a world we thought could benefit us in the event we wanted to restart the species. Perhaps his wide array from scientific achievements could help us fix our problems. I don't know how successful we could be, as we are, in defeating Freeza and his father or rebuilding the Empire.

I'm getting tired. We should be approaching the planet in a day or so. I know for a fact it'd take months to get there had this not been a space-faring vessel instead of a Saiyan Pod. Signing off and talk to you later.

Gine sighed as she set her writing utensil down. Closing the book she had acquired years ago, she looked up at the mirror set above the desk she once called the Captain's. But the firm yet understanding Saiyan was gone. He and every person who had scolded, ate, sang, cried and fought with her was killed in this freak accident. She could never blame Broly, though, thought best never to insinuate that to the boy.

He was already undergoing so much grief. Mat was like a brother to him and he was killed just like all the family he had come to call his own. She was the closest thing to a mother that it was unnerving to be called such over and over. But before she knew it, she started to like the idea of having a son.

Standing up, she took a brief walk through the empty ship. She remembered the large food stores that Kabo used to swipe through, only for Quan to cover for him and appear as if he was scolding him in the act. The brothers she laughed at their antics disappeared from her eyes and slowly became nothing but memories their lingering scent brought up.

The hall where she'd accidentally stumble into Paiya and the Captain conversing closely in. On more than one occasion she remembered them acting more than Saiyan in their intimacy. While she was snapped at for catching them in such acts she smiled secretly at seeing such sweet behavior behind expressions of solemn expressions. Those two who acted like her elder siblings were taken from her too.

Tracing her fingers across a dark space viewing room that was spartan in its affects, she remembered Yasu mediating there often. Sometimes she stopped by and talked about her own insecurities about her inability to contribute more than support. The giant Saiyan always offered comforting words, advising her to do what she could to help the team. Her advice was all she had left in her with him gone.

Finally there was Paragus' quarters, now pungent with the smell of sweat and blood. She saw the heavy bandaging wrapped around his head, the rest swathed over most of his scarred and tough body that had been injured upon receiving unconsciousness. His breaths were so faint she almost thought she walked into a room inhabited by a corpse. But what she saw that drew her gaze the most wasn't his condition but who was already there.

It was Broly, bandaged around the arms and chest, patches covering his own cheeks. He was holding onto his father's hand tightly with both wrapped palms, his face bowed sagely before his unconscious sole parent. Kneeling before him, she could tell the little boy she knew had grown into a man but still retained a tender heart. The sight of him staying by his father's side already told her of the fast bond he had with his originator.

Turning to leave, she heard him grunt out, "Don't. I...I want you here. Please?"

Biting her lower lip, she inhaled through her nose before sputtering through her lips. Gine walked through the open quarters and nimbly stepped beside the kneeling Broly. The sight of the Commander in such a state made her stomach twist in knots. She wished she had been there, among them instead of being told to manage the ship and keep away. But, would anyone be there to protect her like she had for Paragus?

While she fumbled with her own doubts, the boy of prophecy chose his time to speak, "Do you remember our conversations about our heritage and lore, mom?"

"Sure I do," Gine nodded with affirmation, smiling fondly at their calmer talks. When he wasn't being trained by the others or sent into battle to observe or support they'd often commune with each other over food or a calm herbal remedy to soothe his mind. "I remember how Paragus had often taught you the history of our people, that is, what we remembered to write down or hypothesized on."

"I remember a tale that is rooted to the Legendary Super Saiyan," Broly began, causing Gine to look down curiously at him, never hearing about this until now. "It is said that when a Saiyan dies, their body is left behind and our power is sent to the Heavens. Over the course of many Saiyans dying, their blood soon inherits the power of the Heavens and embodies millions of our kind into a singular host. That bearer of the dying race became the Super Saiyan that I am today."

"But, that's a myth. The Super Saiyan is born out of an instinct and is the most elite of warriors. It isn't a sacrificial exchange of lives," Gine lightly chastised, believing such a story was not only cold but eerie in how it was brought up.

"I remember everything since I first opened my eyes," Broly recounted, his hands shook around his father's loose grip. "I recall the sight of a beautiful Saiyaness who smiled at me with such love and adoration I couldn't help but feel safe. I remember seeing a stern yet proud father there to see me, both when I was frustrated or scared. I also remember the first time I lost control and I killed her. She still didn't blame me, even wishing a last breath of promise that'd she'd be with me."

"Broly," She whispered out, realizing all too well that his blame was far deeper rooted than she had thought. She had only heard bits and pieces of what happened the day Planet Vegeta was destroyed. Never had she imagined Broly was in the heart of it, and most likely his father. It could only explain his determination to get revenge against the only oppressor he could that was alive: Freeza.

"My whole world bathed in flames, millions died and offering their souls to the heavens as the planet was destroyed," Broly whispered with shuddering breaths, his whole body shaking as he continued. "A Legend was born in exchange for a whole race. Is that what I am? A bane to my own race so I can be stronger than all who are left? I feel so alien from my kin because of my strength!"

Kneeling down, Gine pulled a grieving Broly into her embrace, brushing his head tenderly as she whispered a gentle shush, "Now Broly, blaming yourself isn't something you should do. Our fall from grace was set in motion for years. It was a political ordeal, not one fated from the start. You were not born out of our deaths, but out of necessities. Your father believes you will herald a great destiny. But what happened yesterday isn't it. You are meant to be better than that."

"I-I...I'm so scared," the young Saiyan confessed, burying his head into her bosom. "I don't know what I'll do next. What if I kill you or father? What happens then? I don't want to be alone with all of this power! I don't want to lose control again!"

"We'll figure out something. Together, you'll see," She tried to assure him, brushing his thick mane while looking back at the faintly breathing Paragus. Lowering her gaze in shame, she sighed and did her best to be strong. She had to when the strongest among them were at their weakest. "I'll be here no matter what. Even when I'm gone, I'll be in your heart. Never forget that."

Nodding, Broly felt himself so tired from a day of no sleep and the day prior of fighting that he passed out in Gine's arms. He didn't even notice him being carried to his own bed and tucked in. With his bangs brushed out of the way, Gine placed a faint kiss on his forehead, leaving him to sleep while she managed the vessel's destination.

"I'll fix you both up in any way I can. I promise you both that," She swore as she took to the helm once again, sailing through a sea of black peppered in white and blue.

A/N: And updated...a year and months later. Wow, I'm such a bad author leaving this to hang for so long. Ah well, that's what happens when you want to write so many other stories. You push something to the corner, one way or the other, right?

But seriously, thanks to all of you who bothered to leave a Review on this less than substantially filled story. Every update I do I want to make sure its in peak quality so give a big clap to my editor and good friend, Firegod00. Aside from tardiness, I'll make sure to do a Reply Section for those who've been good enough to comment on Chapter 2.

I loved this Chapter if only to give you a foreshadowing to what monster Broly will become in the future by showing his first Rage Break. For those who remember what Konats is and where the Konatsians fit in the vast Movie collection of DBZ is, I'll give you a cookie. That and I wanted to give the Disciples a good farewell, even if they weren't originally going to die THIS soon. Hope I did a good job of making you care for these guys, especially through Gine's POV.

Also, being Paragus is woe.

With that said, let's get to the Review Response!

Blank: Thanks for the compliments, friend ^^

Drexal15: Always appreciate the praise. As for your questions, well, I have a good idea about how to tackle that dilemma since Broly's "Legendary" Super Saiyan was always iffy compared to the canon counterparts. Let's just say that Broly's current Super Saiyan form is a trained standard version (so like Trunks, Goku and Vegeta when they faced the Androids initially). As for any potential advancements? Who knows? I'm making this up as I go to be honest and whatever flows with the narrative the best is what I choose to use.

Perfect Carnage: Your Reviews are always welcome. As for how Broly sees himself, its doubtful that'd he see himself as more than a monster than a prophesied "savior" but at times he may see himself as a deity. Even sane he believes himself to be out of his element so it make sense for him to see himself as such.
As for Quan, he was hardly different than his brother, Kabo. They died so not sure how you feel about that XD See you in the next review!

GodzillaFollower1998: I tried to establish a true father/son bond between the two, even if they don't act like it at times. You'll see more of that in this Chapter most certainly. Paragus cares too much about his son and Broly cares just as much. This is truly a motely crew of Saiyans to be acting so un-Saiyan-like.
To answer your question, this Gine had affiliated herself with Bardock but never "did the deed" with him. Other World Saga introduces Goku's mom that I had made way in advance before the existence of Dragon Ball Minus. So to rectify that, I made Gine to be the surrogate mother that Broly desperately needs. How she influences him for future years to come, only time can tell.

jomama25: Yes, it is Gine, but she isn't Goku's mother as revealed in the beginning of this Chapter. Hopefully that cleared up that misconception and you enjoyed the rest of the Chapter.

C4tloverr: I thank you and it definitely took practice to write such lengthy pieces. Everyone has their comfort level and tolerance level for how much they write or read. So don't feel bad if you can't write as much as I can XD
I personally rather write third person cause it gives me more authority over the story, but first person is a nice diversion from the norm. Definitely personalizes you when the words are typed out.
Hopefully you liked seeing Gine here, even if she wasn't Goku's biological mother but just a passing affiliate of Bardock's. Even then, hope you liked her anyways ^^

ValentineSin13: I always try to improve myself with every update to any of my stories. Glad to see there have been improvements ^^
Unfortunately, we do have to show what triggered or rather created the Psycho Broly we all know from the movie. Hopefully I kept enough humanity (or, Saiyan-ity) in him to be relatable and sympathetic. While he sees himself as a prophesied deity, he doesn't like the lack of control and how terrifying he is. A clash of beliefs and certainty is inside this young Saiyan.
And yes, Gine is sweet. She is a treat to write always ^^ hope to see your Review on this chapter as well!

LastationLover5000: I'm sorry . I can't help to write large chapters because I have so much to say and show everyone. Glad you liked the chapter regardless -w-

darksunshine200: Hope you liked the battles I described and the rest that came with it ^^

J.R: Thanks for the high praise. Hopefully I'll hear more of that and then some in this Chapter's update ^^

Guest: Aw, thanks :)

With Review responses out of the way, the next Chapter will be full of feelz and more murder. How will Broly and Paragus overcome their mutual struggles? How will their goals change now that Gine is the only one left of the Disciples of Galick?

Find out, on the next update of The Legend of Broly!
