Unleashing the monster within.

Blu sighed as he wrapped a wing over his growling stomach. He was starving and not even all those sausages he ate the first time was enough to quench his undying hunger. The deformed blue macaw didn't dare want to go out into the world just so he could be caught by Dr Pablino!

It was then that Blu had this sudden urge to go out into the brilliant moonlight as he crept out of his mouse hole and stared up at the big, silvery glowing orb that was high in the sky and Blu couldn't help but stare in awe of the big orb that revealed itself every night.

But it was then that Blu felt something else entirely...He doubled over as his spinal cord hurt and got down on one knee as he squawked and flapped around in agony as his squawks slowly turned into howl-like loud roars and his shadow that was being casted on the walls revealed that he was slowly yet painfully changing slightly as hooks appeared on his wings much like a bat's, his brown eyes began to glow crimson red and he was suffering a major growth in his body as his spine changed his size and Blu slowly lost himself within this sudden transformation.

As Blu finally recovered from his transformation, he stared at the world with dark, empty eyes that were filled with untold anger and hatred for the world as he hissed with distaste and scampered over towards a nearby open shop -the same one he stole the meat from earlier.

Licking the lower corners of his beak, Blu charged at the window and broke the easily broken glass as soon as his small body came into contact with him as he used his malformed wings to parachute himself to the cold tiled flooring of the shop as he immediately scanned for the meat he yearned for.

As Blu jumped and latched on to the biggest piece of steak he could see he dangled side to side as he chomped down on the meal but more like to hold on instead of eat it right away as he climbed his dinner to reach the hook that kept it aloft and when he did, he used his spiked tail feathers to bat the hook off the meat and as both he and the steak fell hard to the floor, Blu dragged his meal out of the shop's slightly open door and made his journey towards his mouse hole.

Blu, of course normally in his right mind wouldn't commit a crime such as this, but he was no longer who he was for now. Instead a cold, empty shell had bore its ugly face into this game and began to play two personalities in one body.

As the Spix macaw dragged his food across the cold ground below since the whole place was deserted for the night; he thought about getting more for his worthless owner of this body and himself since neither could live without each other. The empty shell growled at the full moonlight that shone brightly over his small, bulky frame.

He hated the moonlight but he hated the owner of this body as well.

The whole household was filled with disbelief as they watched Tulio like a hawk with their eyes fearfully dilated and their blood running colder than ice.

"You were what!?" Linda exclaimed with wide, terrified eyes as her skin paled to an almost white color. Tulio sighed as he repeated as he gave his wife a mug of hot chocolate while both she and Jewel had sat on the sofa of the library so they could both listen to the tale Tulio was about to share "Dr Pablino used to be my partner."

Everyone was moonstruck as their focus was on Tulio but they awaited an explanation nonetheless. As they waited for the thin man to begin, Jewel approached the saddened looking man with her own frown as Tulio began to explain, a large amount of shame visible in his eyes "It all started when I was in vet school. I was an admittedly clumsy boy at the time but I had a friend back then. He was strange as he proposed with all these unique ideas of treating animals, especially birds."

Tulio shuddered noticeably at the memory "Dr Pablino was usually a kind, caring person but one faithful day; he offered to create the ultimate bird who was practically immortal. A bird that could live through the harshest of incidents, a bird that can survive any illness psyichal or mental."

Linda and Jewel both seemed horrified by what Tulio was telling them as Linda wrapped her arms protectively around Jewel while Jewel wrapped her wings around Linda's hands as neither of the girls liked the sound of this 'ultimate bird'.

Tulio failed to notice this as he carried on "But the people wouldn't allow it as the bird who was tested had died within seconds after having this injection and just as instantly, Dr Pablino was kicked out of Vet school and he tried to get me into experimenting on those helpless creatures but I refused to work with him because he was harming the animals."

The man now appeared heart broken as he sunk down on an arm chair and his heart also sunk as the former Ornithologist finished his own friend's story. It was clear to both the girls and Fernando that Tulio was broken up about losing his friend as the man's usually energetic eyes were droopy and his frown heavy.

"...I think it is he who has Blu." Tulio admitted with a heavy heart filled with grief and despair.

"Oh, Blu!" Linda gasped as she held Fernando close in a protective manner and Jewel looked on from the arm rest nearby.

Feeling a pang of sympathy centred in her stomach, Jewel flew towards Tulio and perched herself upon his shoulder and gave a small soothing caw as she rubbed her head against his neck affectionately to show her support. Tulio found himself smiling back slightly with droopy tired eyes as he ran two fingers down Jewel's head. "Thank you, Jewel." He smiled.

It was a nice loving moment until the sound of loud screeching rang through all of Rio like a monster on the prowl and made everyone bolt upright in their seats as they looked around frantically for the source of the noise. It was a dry night although there were many storm clouds gathering in the skies outside, announcing a storm coming soon.

Jewel looked out of the darkened window curiously as she had a feeling she knew exactly who the one who owned that screech was. "Blu..." She sighed sadly as she stared out of the window longingly. It was like her heart knew something was very wrong and she wasn't going to be happy until her mate was found and back with the family.

A/N: Hi, guys. Sorry for the long wait and sorry this chapter was short. I just don't have much to write about this chapter. The next one should be longer, though. Even if it may not be up for awhile.

The reason I took so long was that my tummy was acting up and I wasn't well for a very long while. If you couldn't tell I'm much better now and I am really happy about it.

I am also now a Sly Cooper fan. I highly suggest looking at it since its a cool game. :) Feel free to look at my recent stories anytime.
