Chapter 1: Enter: Prodigy Born

Author's Notes: Hiya, I'm glad you decided to read "Naruto: Prodigy of the Whirlpools!"

Hello Everyone, thank you for embarking on the Journey of Naruto: Prodigy of the Whirlpools. I am extremely excited to continue this series, I hope you enjoy this series. This is my first fanfiction and this doesn't count as a chapter I just want to see if you guys like something like this.

I do not own Naruto in any shape or form!

Chapter 1: A Secret no more!

Twenty minutes had passed since the sun had risen, and the vendors were beginning to open their merchandise stands, anticipating the day's sales and pondering their potential profit. The villagers were either waking up or preparing for their daily activities. Meanwhile, the Great Stone Faces awestruck admirers. Despite the bustling activity, the Hidden Leaf Village, one of the five great shinobi villages, appeared to be peaceful.

Naruto Uzumaki burst around the corner, with a group of Chunin chasing him as he crossed the entrance to the Hokage Mansion. Always up to mischief, Naruto had a bucket of manure and created a Shadow clown before heading into the Hokage's office, hiding himself behind the Hokage's chair and waiting for him to come.

As Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, sat down on his chair, he noticed Naruto, but it was too late. The bucket full of manure was already in the air, about to drop all over him. SPLASH! The bucket landed on the elderly Hokage.

Inhaling deeply, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, shouted, "NARUTO UZUMAKI, YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE!"

"UH OH," Naruto said as he jumped out of the Hokage Mansion.

"Bring that boy back here, and in a timely fashion," the Third shouted at the Chunin. The Chunin within the Tower began chasing Naruto, wishing they could hurt him because they believed he was the Nine-tailed fox the Fourth Hokage died sealing in Naruto twelve years earlier.

"I would like to see them try," Naruto said as he flew roof to roof. Naruto was a fast child, so he quickly lost all the Chunin chasing after him. The Chunin had already given up searching for Naruto. After Naruto realized this, he went home to get some rest.

"What the heck, Old man?" Naruto said as he woke up in a room with the Hokage and an unidentified ninja.

"Naruto, when you pulled that prank this morning, I was actually going to call you to my office seeing as you're finally twelve years old, and I wanted to tell you something," explained the Hokage. Hiruzen was going to tell Naruto about his family.

"Who is this odd man?" Naruto asked with a confused look on his face. Naruto knew a lot of ninjas, but he hadn't seen this one before.

"My name is Kakashi Hatake. I am the student, or I was the student of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. I am here to help the Hokage explain what he is about to tell you in detail," said Kakashi, who was hurt that Naruto called him an odd man.

"Naruto, you are the son of the Fourth Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki. Twelve years ago today, he sealed the Nine-tailed fox within you. I don't want to say much as your parents wrote you two separate letters, but I wanted to be the one to give you a little insight before you read what your parents left you," explained the Hokage. Hiruzen knew Naruto was like his mother, hot-headed, and he was scared Naruto would act out, so he brought Kakashi to subdue him just in case.

Naruto began to sob. He didn't know how to feel. He felt mad, happy, and sad at the same time. "YOU KEPT MY HERITAGE AWAY FROM ME FOR TWELVE YEARS?! WHEN THE KIDS AROUND ME WOULD HAVE THEIR COOL PARENTS, I WOULD BE ALONE WITH NOBODY.. NO FRIENDS.. NOBODY, NO FAMILY AT ALL! I COULD AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE I HAD SOMEONE WHO LOVED ME… SOMEONE WHO ONCE CARED ABOUT ME, AND YOU KEPT THAT AWAY FROM ME!" Naruto said as he voiced his anger at the Hokage.

"Naruto please read these letters, let us know when you are done" says Kakashi as him and the Hokage disappear with Shushin no Jutsu

The Letters would read:

Dear Naruto Uzumaki,

Happy Birthday! My name is Minato Namikaze. If you're reading this I am dead. I wanted to write this letter in the event that I would die. I asked the Hokage to reveal the truth of what actually happened twelve years ago when the Nine tails attacked. Your mother was the jinchurki of the nine tails, and an unknown masked man released the nine tails. I had to use a forbidden jutsu to seal the nine tails in you, causing my death. Naruto without you, the village would've been destroyed and many would've died. You are simply a hero. I will be leaving you as my only successor to my Jutsu, Flying Thunder God and Rasengan (I'll have Jiraya teach you it) Attached to this scroll are the flying thunder god instructions.

Fourth Hokage

Dear Naruto,

Happy Birthday my son, My name is Kushina Uzumaki. As you know me and your father died. I don't have much to say, as we will meet again. I want to tell you about the Hidden Whirlpool Village (Uzushiogakure), my village. I was born in the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools, I was chosen to be the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi. The Village was prosperous up until four of the five elemental nations attacked the Village. Konoha, who was our ally, failed to assist us in this fight causing us to fall. Besides that, I want you to learn simple fuinjutsu, when you have please come back to this letter, for a message from your Father.

Naruto would sit in silence, reminiscing about what he had just learned. He had spent all his life alone, with no family or friends who loved him. Finally, with this new information that he knew he could not share with anyone, Naruto began studying what his father had left for him - the Flying Raijin Jutsu. He was determined not to give up until he had mastered the Jutsu. Once he knew the basics, such as creating a seal and how the teleportation works, he was ready to start testing the Jutsu in the field. He would frequently visit the Training Ground where Hinata Hyuga, the heiress of the Hyuga Clan, would train with him. When she felt tired, she would simply spectate his training. Naruto and Hinata had already graduated from the Academy with the rest of the kids their age. Naruto was on Kakashi's Team, and Hinata was on Kurenai's Team. They only met because back in the Academy, Hinata developed a liking for Naruto, and unbeknownst to her, Naruto also had a crush on her.

One day Naruto and Hinata were meeting in their usual spot, Hinata mustered up the strength to ask the love of her life out. She knows she often stutters when she is nervous so slowed down while talking "Naruto, wo-would y-y-you like to go on a" Naruto would cut her off by saying "Yes, I would love to take you out on a date". Sakura would then run towards Naruto and slap him across his face and yell "WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE HOKAGES OFFICE NOW". Hinata would think to herself "How dare she hit Naruto" Naruto who was now on the floor holding his head "ok, okay Sakura let's go. Hinata we'll finish this conversation later" says Naruto.

~ In the Hokage Building ~

"We have a mission for you guys.. It's an escort mission. You guys will be tasked with escorting the bridge builder back to his place and protecting him until the bridge is completed." Says Iruka Sensei

"You guys will leave tomorrow at 6AM, do not be late" explained the Hokage

All four ninjas would reply with "Yes, Sir"

~ On top of the Hokage Mansion~

Naruto would look at his fathers face on the Hokage monument. And say "I am going to restore the clan.."

Well thats the end of the first chapter! I know it's kinda short but I am sure its enjoyable, I wonder if Naruto is going to restore the Hidden Whirlpool Village.. or will he stay in Konoha! Can't wait until Chapter 2!
