(A/N): This chapter will jump straight into action and it will be very short. I promise you the next chapter will be very interesting.
-A week later-
The Forest of Death was a treacherous place, filled with deadly traps and vicious creatures. It was here that the genin teams of the Chunin Exams would have to prove themselves, facing trials and dangers that would test their skills and determination.
Team 7, consisting of Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata, made their way through the dense undergrowth, each step taking them deeper into the unknown. The sound of leaves crackling under their feet filled the air, and Naruto's eyes scanned the shadows for any sign of danger.
Suddenly, they heard a rustling in the bushes. Then, before they knew it, they were surrounded by a group of Sound Ninja.
One of them stepped forward, a sneer on his face. "Well, well, what do we have here? A rookie team trying to impress their village? You're in for a surprise."
Naruto's eyes glint with excitement at the prospect of a fight. He had been waiting for a chance to test his skills against a real opponent.
With a flash of light, Naruto's hand signs formed, and suddenly he disappeared, reappearing beside the Sound Ninja. His hands gripped their neck, and with a swift motion, he sent them crashing into a nearby tree.
The other Sound Ninja leapt into action, attacking with a flurry of strikes. But one by one, they were taken down by Sasuke and Hinata's lightning-fast attacks.
The fight was over as quickly as it had begun, and the Sound Ninja lay defeated on the ground. Team 7 had emerged victorious, and they knew it had all been thanks to their training and Naruto's Flying Thunder God technique.
The sun was just beginning to set on the day of the Forest of Death portion of the Chunin exams, and Naruto stood on the edge of a clearing, surveying the vast expanse of trees that lay ahead. Suddenly, he heard rustling in the bushes and turned to see The Grass Shinobi emerge from the undergrowth, his face shifting from one to the next as he mimicked the identity of the different genin teams.
"What's he playing at?" Sasuke muttered, his eyes narrowing. "He's up to something."
Before Naruto could respond, The Grass Shinobi reached out and grabbed Neji by the arm, his face twisted into a demonic sneer. "This one will do," he hissed, and before Neji could react, a slimy curse mark began to spread across his skin.
"What the-! Neji!" Naruto shouted, but before he and Sasuke could move, The Grass Shinobi was gone, melting back into the shadows. They could only watch in horror as Neji started to shake violently, his eyes rolling back in his head.
"We have to do something!" Hinata exclaimed, but before anyone could react, a group of sound ninjas leapt from the bushes, led by their formidable ninja commander. They were here to take out the rookie teams, but now they were facing a more dangerous opponent.
"Get out of our way!" Sasuke yelled, brandishing his sword.
"We're not here for you!" the sound ninja commander spat back.
It was a brief but fierce fight, with Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata working together to take down their opponents. But just as they emerged triumphant, and Neji's shaking subsided, they heard a noise behind them.
"Too late, little shinobi," The Grass Shinobi's voice hissed. "You might have stopped me this time, but the curse mark has already been planted. It's only a matter of time before your precious Neji becomes one of us. You can't save him."
And with that, the snake-like shinobi disappeared back into the bushes, leaving Team 7 to ponder the dangers that lay ahead. The Forest of Death was a treacherous place, but they knew that the real tests lay ahead of them.
As the proctor watched over the remaining genin teams in the Forest of Death, she felt a sudden chill run down her spine. Something was off. From the corner of her eye, she saw Orochimaru emerge from the bushes, disguised as one of the genin teams. Her suspicions were confirmed, and the proctor called for backup.
Within minutes, the Anbu were on the scene, scouring the forest for Orochimaru's whereabouts. They moved quietly, their black outfits blending in with the shadows of the trees. Suddenly, one of them stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening as he saw a sinister figure lurking in the undergrowth.
"Orochimaru!" the Anbu whispered, his hand reaching for his kunai.
But before he could make a move, Orochimaru disappeared into the shadows once again. The Anbu sighed, knowing that the Sannin was always one step ahead.
After several nerve-wracking hours, the Anbu returned to the village with their report. The Hokage listened to their findings, his expression growing more grave with each passing sentence. Orochimaru's actions were a clear violation of the rules of the Chunin Exams and the village's law.
"This cannot stand," the Hokage declared, his eyes flaring with anger. "I will send a squad of Shinobi to the Forest of Death immediately. Orochimaru must be brought to justice."
The Anbu nodded, their eyes determined. They knew the job ahead of them was dangerous, but they were prepared to do whatever it took to protect the village and the genin teams in the exam. They were true Shinobi, and they would stop at nothing to bring Orochimaru to justice.
-One day later-
The Anbu squad returned to the village defeated, their hunt for Orochimaru unsuccessful. They approached the Hokage, heads bowed in defeat.
"We're sorry, Hokage-sama," the Anbu leader said, his voice choked with frustration. "We searched the forest thoroughly, but we couldn't find any trace of Orochimaru."
"It's okay," the Hokage said, laying a hand on the Anbu's shoulder. "Orochimaru's a crafty foe. I understand your efforts."
The Anbu nodded, relief washing over them. But as they turned to leave, the Hokage called out to them again.
"By the way," he said, his tone turning serious. "I have decided to continue with the Chunin exams. We'll have to assume that the threat is over for now."
The Anbu's faces fell as they heard these words. They knew that Orochimaru was still out there, plotting his next move. But the Hokage's decision was final.
"Yes, Hokage-sama," the Anbu leader said, bowing his head again. "We'll keep watch in case Orochimaru returns. And if he does...we'll be ready."
With that, the Anbu squad left the room, their spirits weighed down by the knowledge that the danger was not yet over. But they were Shinobi, and they were prepared to face whatever trials lay ahead.
-Karin's POV-
Karin and her teammates were making their way through the Forest of Death, searching for the scroll that they needed in order to pass the test. Suddenly, they heard yelling and the sounds of a fight in the distance.
Running towards the commotion, they found a squad of Mist Genins who had the scroll they needed.
"Give us the scroll!" Karin demanded, her eyes narrowed.
"Over our dead bodies!" one of the Mist Genin shouted back, drawing his sword.
His teammates followed suit, their weapons glinting in the moonlight. Karin and her teammates tensed, ready for a fight.
"We're not messing around," Karin warned, her hands forming the sign for her jutsu. "Hand over the scroll, or we'll have to take it by force."
The Genin sneered, their eyes narrowing. "You think you can take us on?" one of them sneered. "You're just a bunch of rookie genin. We'll make quick work of you."
Without warning, the Genin charged, their weapons glinting in the moonlight. Karin and her teammates sprung into action, their jutsu at the ready.
Karin released her jutsu first, a torrent of blue light pouring out from her fingertips. The Genins were thrown back, coughing and gasping for air.
Her teammates rushed forward, their weapon's at the ready. But the Genins had recovered, and they fought back with a ferocity that amazed Karin.
The fight was brutal; Karin and her teammates were pushed to their limits. But they refused to give in. They fought with everything they had until the Genins lay defeated at their feet.
Karin surveyed the damage, her heart heavy. It had been a tough battle, but they had prevailed. The scroll was theirs, and they were on their way to the next stage of the Chunin exams.
"Never underestimate your enemies," Karin said, her voice firm. "We may be rookie genin, but we're capable of so much more than people give us credit for." She turned to her teammates with a smile. "And together, we're unstoppable."
