Chapter Thirty-One
Two Years Later
"DAD!" I bark storming up the stairs. The wedding started in an hour and here he was hiding my shit again. "Come on old man!"
"Will you calm down Jacob" He calls, his voice distant. I search every room upstairs but find nothing. "Oh Jakey" He calls his voice coming from the stairs. I turn to see him smiling. "Take a breath. It's not like this is your wedding or anything. Now here's your tie. Do you want me to tie it for you?" I snatch the fabric from his fingers and glare at him but he just laughs and waves me off.
"Jacob!" Bella voice calls as the door slams. "We have to be at the beach thirty minutes ago! You better not keep this habit of being late to weddings!" I slink down the stairs putting my tie on as I went. Dad doesn't follow; lucky him. "Youre still not dressed? Seriously? Jake this is a test run for our wedding in two weeks! And Charlie won't be very happy if you miss this and expect him to show up to yours" She takes the tie from me and slightly chokes me with it as her fingers expertly knot it.
"Im ready. Can we go?" She smiles at me as if she didn't spend the last minute scolding me like a child.
"Yes." She takes my arm in hers and leads me out the door and into the sunshine. The clouds build up in the distance waiting to strike; if all goes to our careful planning it won't rain till Charlie and Emma are safely on a plane heading for their honeymoon. I still can't believe after all these years Mrs. Foster hates me and now here she is going to be my step mother in law. Christmas is going to be great. "What are you smiling about?"
"Just how great you look in that dress" I smirk down at her making her blush. She dressed in a royal blue strapless with a gold sash. Since her transformation she has changed to resemble more of her kind, pointed ears and all.
"Well you did pick it out" She laughs. I only pointed to the one I liked; how was I supposed to know she would pick it.
"How are the kids doing?"
"They're adjusting. The not being able to change in public school is hard on them. But luckily with them starting out here the other kids won't panic if they forget."
"You'll get them to learn. After all you are the best teacher in La Push!"
"Oh just in La Push? May I remind you I finished with my highschool and had Esme help me get my teaching degree so we can by that house right there" She points to our new home, sitting right on top of the hill over looking the entire ocean.
"How could I forget with you reminding me every five seconds" She glares playfully at me and shoves me with her hips. I pretend to stumble and actually almost trip.
"Youre such a klutz Jacob!" Embry calls, his wife holding his arm their daughter playing by their feet with a rock she found; she has both wolf trait and elven traits in her so who knows what she'll grow up to be. He and Seth stand together with their growing families watching Bella and I walk up.
"Yeah man. You almost knocked over Bella." Seth laughs, pulling Nicole closer to his side, her stomach round with twins.
"Jacob!" Sam calls and I sigh; why did I have to be so popular today. I just wanted to hold my Bella and lay around. "Charlie wants you to go stand with him, and Bella you need to go to the tent" I sigh again and kiss her check before she runs off towards the bride's tent. Seth slaps my back as I trek forwards and position myself right next to Charlie as his best man. Dad was running the ceremony or he would have gotten this great job.
"Did Bella tell you?" He asks grinning like an idiot. Yes she did actually but he seemed to want to tell me also.
"No. What?"
"She's going to be a sister!" I try my best to look surprise.
"She did tell you. Of course she did. Well was she excited?"
"Charlie" I begin but dad clears his throat as the music begins, everyone rises as Clair makes her way down, dropping her basket at the entrance leaving a pile of spilled and forgotten petals I spent hours working on yesterday. Emma's sisters appear at the door next, their feet dragging the petals forward clearly trying to spread them around for the entrance picture. Bella would be fretting about this later. Bella comes out third, her eyes instantly find mine and a smile spreads across her face.
Bella joins the other bride's maids standing just a few feet from my frame. Our imprint bond pulls at us as I try to keep my cool. Lately the imprint has been stronger. Joshua thinks it's because of our impending wedding, and the idea of mating on the wedding night as it does come when she is ovulating.
As the music changes the Emma appears at the door, a grin on her face mirroring Charlie's. Bella looks at me at the corner of her eye and I smile back at her. In just two weeks that will be us. And I am one hundred million percent ready.
Time skip
"Jacob!" My name is called once more but I ignore it. I just got my Bella to sit with me and that's all im going to do for the next few hours. "Seriously Jake did you not hear me calling you?" Leah asks, I inwardly groan; why didn't she get that if I didn't answer her I didn't want her to come over here. Sure she was a lot better now then a few years ago, but seriously.
"No I heard you" I say smiling down at Bella who returns the smile.
"Rachel sent me over her. She wants to know if there is more hot dogs"
"No"
"You are a pain!"
"Yup" I pop the 'p' at the end. Leah glares and turns to Bella.
"Are you really going to let him behave like this?" Bella sighs.
"Leah I just sat down, and im comfortable. So im not going to let you or anyone boss him around and make him get up right now. Understand?" Leah growls and storms off.
"I love you" I whisper down to her, nuzzling her in my arms. "Wanna head to bed?" I ask, she shakes her head but leans back into my chest closing her eyes. She didn't want to leave the party early.
"Where is Charlie taking Emma for their honey moon?" She asks randomly.
"Camping"
"How romantic." She laughs her voice full of sarcasm, good thing I wasn't planning on camping for mine. I had another idea planned.
"He thinks so; I think dad snuck a spa day for them in his plans without him knowing." I laugh. "Are you ready to be Isabella Black?" I whisper in her ear, she turns her face up towards mine kissing my jaw.
"I think so" She sighs. "Ive waited long enough, now that Charlie is happy and no longer alone I think I can be fully happy."
"I love you" I whisper to her kissing her hard on her lips.
(Authors Note: I think this will be the last chapter. I have absolutely no spark left in this story; it has come a long way and I thank each and everyone of my readers for your support over the time of this story. Im thinking about doing a sequel that would start right before I gave Bella powers and that would keep her human. Ill add an Authors note to that area telling you to switch if you want. In the mean time I have two "new" stories going; which will be updated weekly. I have re done Gale's Promise a hunger games fanfic. And another story for Twilight: A Nessie/Jacob story. I do want to do another Bella/Jacob one but im at a loss of where to start it and might need to re read the books again. Ill post an authors note here if I decide to do the human sequel.
