It was a lazy afternoon after the family of three went home from the restaurant, Caleb and Carter are both sitting in the carpeted living room floor playing with Carter's Legos. They build towers having a little competition of who can build the tallest tower. They talked and laughed like they knew each other forever.
"I win Daddy, I build the tallest tower." Carter said proudly smiling at his dad.
"Well, get prepared my dinosaur will knock it down." Caleb said reaching for Carter's tyrex dinosaur toy.
"Buzz Lightyear will save my tower." Carter said showing his Buzz Lightyear action figure.
"Rawr...Rawr..." Caleb said moving the dinosaur nearing Carter's tower of Legos.
"Laser... Psshhhoo..." Carter said pressing a button from the action figure to light up the arm laser pointing the laser into the dinosaur's eyes.
"Ahhh... You blinded my dinosaur." Caleb said knocking down the tyrex.
"Ha-ha, Buzz Lightyear wins and I win again." Carter said laughing. "To infinity and beyond." Carter said imitating Buzz Lightyear's voice, moving the toy in the air with it's wings on.
Hanna is sitting on her desk on the other side of the room watching the two with her widest smile. She really loves watching them play together and bond together. Carter may have known his dad for just few hours but he talks and bonds with him like they've known each other forever and Hanna loves it. It's the thing that Hanna had been dreaming and longing for in the six long years that she'd been apart from Caleb. Caleb is always been her missing piece, a piece that she had found and lost and found again that can only complete her life and make her feel home.
Caleb glance at her direction and match her smile. They might not say anything or engage in a conversation but their eyes speaks what they truly felt. LOVE, the thing they've been craving for and found in each other, the thing that bind their heart and soul, the thing that can make them truly happy.
Olivia sat on top of her suitcase struggling to zip it closed. She had done some retail therapy on her way to the hotel after her meeting just to flushed the thoughts of Penn out of her system. She really hated how she liked him a lot. It feels wrong that she liked him but it feels right at the same time. She doesn't like her crazy thoughts of him since the day that he walked up to her in the cafe on her first day in Chicago. She was admittedly physically attracted to him, his dark brown eyes, his cute dimples, his soft pinkish lips, and his gorgeous body of how suits fit him. She also likes he's humor and how humble he is. Her clouded mind with the thoughts of Penn nearly faded the existence of Caleb in her mind. She really felt bad that her fiancé never even crossed her mind when she was with Penn.
She was snapped out of her train of thoughts when she heard a repeated knock on the door. She got up from the bed to answer it. Her eyes immediately landing on Penn as he was standing there.
"Hey," Penn greeted.
"Hey," she greets back awkwardly.
"I just thought maybe you're done packing already, so maybe you can go out with me." Penn said hoping she would say yes.
"Penn, I already told you earlier-" Olivia started to say.
"Go out as friends, Please..." Penn said cutting her off. Olivia don't say anything for a long time just looking at him.
"I promise that I won't try anything. You made it clear that we can't and I respected that, I guess I should just fix things with Hanna when we get home." Penn said.
"Okay fine, I'll go with you." Olivia said smiling.
"I guess we can start over again." she added.
"Well in that case, Hi, I'm Penn Kingham, 26 and handsome." Penn said offering his hand for a handshake.
"I'm Olivia Matheson, 24 who lives a boring life of a workaholic." Olivia said chuckling.
"Nice to meet you, Olivia Matheson but you're not boring." Penn said with a chuckle.
"Nice to meet you too, Kingham and Handsome." Olivia said with a little laugh. "Wow, it rhymes." she commented.
"You're good. From now on, I tell people to call me that." Penn said smirking. Olivia laughed throwing her head back kind of laugh. Penn laugh with her.
"Let's go, Kingham before you boost your confidence more." Olivia said with a chuckle taking his hand walking out of the door.
"Hey, you forgot the Handsome part." Penn said smiling at her.
"Whatever," Olivia said rolling her eyes.
The rest of the day have been a long fun but tiring day for Carter and Caleb bonding together. They play all day, watched cartoons, and ate pizza for dinner, then play again till' bedtime.
"Carter, time for bed." Hanna announced standing up from the couch looking at her son seated on the floor with his dad.
"Ugh... Can I have a late night, please?" Carter said looking up at his mother.
"No, you need to rest you've been playing all day with daddy, I know you're tired and I bet your daddy is too." Hanna said.
"Okay but can both of you and daddy tuck me in." Carter said.
"Sure Kid, I would love to." Caleb said messing Carter's hair smiling widely at him.
"Clean up your mess first." Hanna said.
"Okay, Mommy." Carter said picking up his toy cars and Legos. Caleb helped him cleaning up and they went to his room afterwards.
Hanna just watched them just following behind. Watching them fascinates her, it's like her dream just came true and it felt surreal. She smiled watching them pick out Pj's for Carter.
"Okay Bud, what do you want to wear? Superman or dinosaurs?" Caleb asked showing Carter the two pajama pair.
"Uhm... Superman." Carter said.
"Superman it is." Caleb said putting back the dinosaur pajama pair.
Caleb helped him to get changed glancing and smiling at Hanna. He knows that she's really happy and he loves the fact that he's part of the reason of the smile on her face.
"Carter, don't forget to brush your teeth." Hanna said once Carter is done changing.
"I won't," Carter said as he storm out of the room to brush his teeth in the bathroom. Caleb stands up from sitting on Carter's bed and walk towards Hanna.
"Am I doing good?" Caleb said walking towards Hanna putting his arms around her waist.
"Better than I imagined, you made him happy." Hanna said smiling at him.
"You two made me happy." Caleb said placing a kiss on her lips. Hanna automatically wrapped her arms around his neck making the kiss much deeper.
"Eeewww," Carter said as he walk out of the bathroom making his Mom and Dad pull away jumping backwards at the same time.
"Let's tuck you in, Baby." Hanna said awkwardly forcing a smile.
"Okay, Mommy." Carter said with a toothy grin. He walked towards Caleb who picked him up to take him to his bed.
"Here you go, Bud." Caleb said putting down Carter on top of the bed. Carter lay dow while both his parents pull up the covers up to his chest.
"So, what do help him sleep?" Caleb asked Hanna. He sat on the side of the bed while Hanna sat on the chair near the bed opposite to him.
"I usually hum a lullaby or read him a book." Hanna answered.
"Okay, I have no idea what to hum so can I just read you a book, Carter?" Caleb said.
"That's fine daddy, are you going to stay the night, daddy?" Carter said.
"That depends if your mom let me." Caleb said smiling at Hanna.
"Of course you can stay." Hanna said with a meaningful smile.
"Okay," Caleb said with a playful smirk plastered on his face.
"So Carter, what book do you want daddy to read to you?" Hanna asked.
"Uhm... Peter Pan." Carter said.
"Then, Peter Pan it is." Hanna said reaching for the book in the shelf near Carter's bedside. Hanna handed the book to Caleb and Caleb started to turn the pages. Caleb didn't even reach half of the story when Carter started to snore.
"That was easy," Caleb commented chuckling closing the book putting it on Carter's bedside.
"He must've been really tired." Hanna said.
"I bet he is, we've been playing all day." Caleb said.
"I bet you're tired too." Hanna said.
"I am but I don't want this day to end." Caleb said tucking few strands of Hanna's hair into her ear.
"Thank you," Hanna said sincerely looking into his brown orbs.
"For what?" Caleb asked.
"For everything, for today, you made Carter happy." Hanna said smiling at him.
"It's nothing compared to what you have done for him and for Harbin. I wanted you to know that I'm so proud of you and I'm so thankful that you are the mother of my children. Carter and Harbin are so lucky." Caleb said placing a kiss into her forehead.
Hanna smiled lovingly at him. "I think we should head out." she said standing up from her seat.
"I guess we should, I wanted to spend some alone time with you." Caleb said with a playful smirk standing up from the bed.
"You should know that there is a kid in this house." Hanna reminded him. They both kissed Carter in the forehead before heading out of the room.
"But that kid is already asleep," Caleb said while Hanna closed the door tightly behind her.
"We shouldn't make much noises, he might woke up." Hanna said.
She was about to say something again when Caleb cut her off by crashing his lips into her. Hanna automatically wrapped her arms around his neck with her fingers tangling with his hair. Caleb run his fingers into her back and to her sides wanting to feel her.
They moved to Hanna's bedroom not bothering to seperate from the kiss. They managed to lock the door and moved to the bed without pulling apart from the kiss. Caleb laid Hanna on the bed with his hands roaming around inside her shirt. He take the shirt off of her pulling away from the kiss briefly. Hanna take off his shirt too and moved her hands to his belt buckle struggling to unbuckle it. They continue to undress each other till' they're left with nothing. They kissed passionately, tongues fighting for dominance and hands roaming around one another's body wanting to feel each other.
Love and Passion took over the both of them sending them into complete bliss. It feels like there is nothing that can make them even happier, just being in each others arms made them feel contented.
Okay, this is not my best but I really tried my best to make it great... sorry a billion times for not updating this much earlier and if this is barely edited... my mind is just all over the place lately... but i'm really trying my best to fight with my writer's block... thanks for all the reviews and follows/favorites... it means a lot... I really wanted to mention all of you guys but it's already 3am in my time and I needed to sleep... I'll just make up to you guys next update...
