Slave: Kokoa in a Mortal Kombat game? That...that would be...I want that now! That would be so fricking cool!
SupernalGodzilla: Alright, I'll make sure you don't ever do anything that stupid so Kokoa, or one of the other girls, doesn't rip out your spleen...or your spine. XD
Gamera68: Thank you! It was. As for making Kokoa angry, no one wants to do that my friend, no one.
thejakester319: Thank you as well, that's very nice of you to say. As for the next chapter, or to be more accurate this chapter, well I've got a few surprises for you guys. XP
Fire Dragon Slayer Zim: Don't worry, I'm going to continue writing this story until it's finished, and no sooner than that. You liked it that much huh? I'm really glad to hear that!
I don't know how to address this next reviewer, as he/she posted their review under guest. It's the most recent review, so hopefully they know I'm talking to them.
Latest reviewer: Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. As for your ideas...
1-Mizore and her race, and their limit on time when it comes to having children. As I said before, I have not read the Manga, but I have done some research on it, however I didn't know about that. I have a chapter planned concerning Mizore and her family already, so I might end up incorporating that into the chapter, so thank you for telling me about it.
2-The inevitable marriages. I already have something like this planned, although I'm not sure whether I'll end up writing the actual weddings or not.
3-Pregnancy. I've tried to figure out how to put that in with the coming stages, however there are still quite a few intense battles ahead of the girls, and I refuse to write them losing their child, it would break my heart. At the same time I can't just put them on the sidelines, so I'm afraid pregnancy is off the table for a while. Not for good mind you, just for a while. Although it would make all the sense in the world if they did get pregnant, because to be honest I don't see a single one of the girls letting him pull out...
4-Yukari's home and Kurumu's home. I've thought about this as well. I have a partial idea about Yukari's, however I'm not entirely sure what Kurumu's would be like. So I've been debating with myself whether or not to show their homes, but since you brought it up, I'll see what I can do. No guarantees though.
5-Kurumu's, Yukari's and Mizore's parents finding out about their harem status with Tsukune. Already planned, don't need to worry. I've been and still am looking forward to those chapters.
Thank you for you input, it means a lot to me. :)
Alright it's been a while since I've written some real battles, so I'd appreciate any and all feedback you guys could give me. Especially since I feel like their the best ones I've ever written.
Now then, we're on to the next chapter/episode, and I've got a few surprises up my sleeve for this one. XD
Oh and I know this is the fourth time I've said it, but welcome to my longest chapter to date! Guys it's twice the size of the Aqua chapter, which was just shy of eighteen thousand words! In fact, counting this author's note and the one at the end, the exact word count is fourty five thousand and one hundred eleven! I'm not sure I'll ever do another chapter this long, so I hope you enjoy. This also beats out the Aqua chapter for my favorite chapter, so with all that considered, I know you don't want me to, but I'm initiating review begging mode. Please, please, everyone leave me a review, telling me what you liked, what you didn't like, tell me about the scene you enjoyed the most, tell me what battle was your favorite, anything! I need feedback!
Sorry, kind of went off the deep end there, oops. XD
All that craziness aside, here's chapter seven/episode seven of season four. Please read, enjoy and review.
The young red haired Vampire was by Tsukune's side in moments, dropping to her knees before leaning down to check his heartbeat, and as she felt the faint thump from his chest, she couldn't hold it back as she began to cry once more, this time because of happiness rather than grief. And as she buried her face into her lover's chest and continued to cry in happiness and relief, her older sister couldn't help but let her smile grow.
It only took a few seconds after that before Fang Fang got to his feet and proceeded to make his way over to them, limping only slightly, stopping about two feet from them and asking, "He's...he's alive?"
Yukari was the one to respond, a big smile on her tear stained face, "Yeah, he's gonna be okay."
Fang Fang managed a small smile in return at those words, "That's good."
Even as the young man said this he had to fight the urge to gag, the visuals of Kokoa slaughtering those men before his very eyes were still very fresh in his mind, and would most likely stay with him for a long time to come. Not that he could actually blame her for what she had done, because they had brought it upon themselves, but still...Fang Fang didn't like watching people die, whether they be good or evil. And having to watch as the young vampire dispatched of one fairy tale trooper after another, especially in such a brutal way...quite frankly it made him sick to his stomach. Not to mention the smell, oh god the smell, it was horrible, and he had noticed many students had agreed with him on that, as many of them held their noses, keeping any air and therefore any kind of stench from entering their sensitive nostrils, after all most monsters had a much better sense of smell than humans did.
When Fang Fang looked back at the girls, Moka, Kokoa, Kurumu and Ruby were walking towards the girls dorm.
Moka let her sister cry for several moments, before crouching down, putting her hands on the younger vampire's shoulders, and speaking softly to her, "Come Kokoa, you're a mess, let's go get you cleaned up."
The fifteen year old hesitantly lifted her head up, before responding somewhat shakily, "Bu-but, I d-don't want to leave his side. I have to make sure he's safe, I need to watch over him until he wakes up. An-and, I...I need to see him when he first wakes up...I...I...I've got to..."
Moka nodded her head in understanding, not that her sister could see her do so, but she didn't need to as she spoke again, "I understand, but you're caked in your own dried blood, and drenched with Tsukune's blood, which will be dry soon enough, not to mention the blood you accumulated on your person after killing those worthless fools over there. We obviously don't have time to bathe, and you're really the only one who's actually gonna get a change of clothes since we can't afford to take too long, but we can at least wash all this blood off of us, you especially could benefit from it. As for Tsukune, do not worry, neither Mizore or Yukari were injured during the battle with Aqua, they'll watch over him until we get back. Which I promise you we will before he wakes."
Most of the girls were taken back by the way Moka spoke, so kind and so gentle, they had only ever heard her use such a tone with Tsukune, and even then it was rare...at least that they were aware of.
Her words seemed to do the trick though, because after several moments of silence, Kokoa nodded her head in agreement, "Alright."
She then begrudgingly got to her feet, Moka gently helping her do so, before the two, as well as Ruby and Kurumu, began making their way to the girls dorm. Ruby limping somewhat on the way.
Once those four were gone, it left Mizore, Yukari, Fang Fang and Kyouko to defend Tsukune. They also had Ling Ling as back up, they just didn't know it, her now wanting to at least help keep this guy safe since she had seen the lengths he would go through to protect those precious to him, and what one of them would do if he left this world.
Whispering had also started among the student body, said hushed words being about Tsukune and his girls. It continued for a few minutes, before finally a single student stepped forward from the others and made his way over to the young witch, the snow woman, the human, the unconscious half human and the yasha. He stood at six foot one, had neck length black hair, light blue eyes and tanned skin, and he of course wore the standard school uniform.
Said student was stopped a good seven feet from their position though as Mizore spoke, "If you come any closer, I'll make you regret it for the short life span you'll have left, after I freeze your insides solid."
Said students was sweating bullets at that point, worried for his life. However that didn't stop him from replying, "I just wanted to apologize, for all of us in fact. We're all sorry that we didn't help you, we should have, and it was wrong of us not to. We were just so caught up in old prejudices that...we forgot just how great of a guy Tsukune was. We forgot that he was the kindest person any of us had ever know, always trying to help everyone else with their problems instead of focusing on his own. He helped so many of us out, even knowing we despised his existence, even if we didn't know it at the time. Some of us even openly told him of all our hate for human kind, and all he did was smile back and tell us he understood where we were coming from. I guess we just thought a human like that couldn't exist, so we shut him out of our hearts, and in the end it could have cost him everything. And yet you say that he's still alive, that he's fighting to hold on, even after so many would just give up. Please, if you'd allow me, I'd like to help you protect him."
Silence followed those words, and for several long moments it seemed as if they weren't going to reply at all, but finally Yukari spoke up, "What's your name?"
"Boro, Boro Senju."
The young witch gave a small smile before speaking once more, "Then please come help us Boro."
Boro let a smirk cross his face before nodding and coming closer, however Mizore had a different idea. "Stop."
And he did, not wanting to anger the snow woman in the slightest.
"We can take care of Tsukune for now, how about for the time being you help your fellow students who've been shot, to the infirmary so the nurse can patch them up. Once that is done, then you can help us guard Tsukune."
Boro gave a small frown at that, before looking back at where several of his classmates were indeed on the ground, having taken a bullet to the leg, the arm and some even in their abdomens, thankfully there were no fatalities, and seeing them like that he couldn't help but agree, so he nodded his head. "Yeah, alright."
So with that he turned around, and with three other students help he began to take all the injured to the infirmary, which would take several trips.
Once Boro was out of earshot, Yukari asked softly, "Mizore, what was that about?"
Her eyes cold, Mizore looked over several students, before looking at Yukari and responding with, "I don't trust any of them, I won't let them close to Tsukune, especially with him being so defenseless."
Yukari's eyes widened slightly, "You don't trust any of the other students?"
"Not a single one. The same goes for the faculty. They were all so eager to turn their backs on Tsukune before, I don't want to take the chance that they'll do it again, or worse try and kill him themselves. That's the only reason I wish Gin was still here, he's an annoying pervert, however he was always reliable and we could count on him when we needed to, he could even be trusted to keep Tsukune safe when things got dire."
Yukari was silent for a few moments before replying, "I...I guess you're right."
Mizore nodded her head, "I am."
As Kokoa finished getting dressed in her spare uniform, she turned to Moka, who was standing at the doorway, waiting for her. Kurumu and Ruby had already washed the blood off themselves, before getting back into the clothes they had taken off. They needed to be cleaned considering there was small splotches of blood on certain areas, but they had to get back to Tsukune so as to make sure he was kept safe, so all they had time to do was wash the blood of their skin. Moka had done the same as them.
The fifteen year old walked over to her sister, before abruptly hugging her, tears threatening to begin spilling out once more as she repeatedly said, "Thank you, thank you, thank you so much."
The slightly older vampire returned the embrace, "It's okay now, Tsukune's safe and he'll be back on his feet in less than three minutes. And...and...you're welcome."
No one else made a move to approach Tsukune, and by extension Mizore, it being somewhat obvious that she didn't want them close to him.
Even as Boro and the three giving him a hand finished helping their fellow students to the infirmary did anyone else try to approach, not they had much of a chance as Ruby and Kurumu had returned, and then Moka and Kokoa were already visible, approaching the scene once more, both of them looking cleaner, the younger one much so since she now hadn't a trace of blood on her.
With all of his girls around him now, Tsukune was safe indeed. And yet Boro began coming towards them once more, this time followed by three others. They were stopped not even five feet from their original position as Mizore, Kurumu and Moka gave them a warning glare, one that Kokoa would have gave as well, but she was too busy watching Tsukune's chest rise and fall, assuring herself that he was alive.
Boro, knowing that the ice he and the other students were on couldn't get any thinner, no pun intended, halted immediately, the other three doing as he did, before he spoke once more, "I thought I already told you, we just want to help, I can assure you that none of us would be as stupid as to try and harm Tsukune, especially since all of you are right here, it would be just plain suicide. I can also assure you that none of us want to harm Tsukune..."
Moka's, Mizore's and Kurumu's eyes all narrowed at that, which caused Boro to take back his words, "...okay, you're right, I can only assure you that most of us don't want to hurt him. But still, if you'd allow just a few of us to help you-"
The black haired student was interrupted, but not by someone he had expected to cut him off.
It was Kyouko, "He's waking up!"
In an instant all eyes were on Tsukune's form, as the young man sat up, holding his head, which was pounding ridiculously hard, as he opened his eyes.
His vision was blurry for a moment, but he could still make out the sobbing form of Kokoa not even four inches away from him. "T-Tsukune...You-you're okay..."
Without even another moment after her words Kokoa pounced upon him, almost knocking him flat on his back, while capturing his lips with hers, taking several long moments to pull away, before locking him in a tight embrace as her tears began to fall once more.
His head still pounding, but his vision now clear, Tsukune tried to speak, "Kokoa...I...I'm sorry that-"
However he was cut off by the same fifteen year old girl he was trying to speak to, who managed to get all her words heard over her sobs, "NO! I don't wanna hear it! No more apologizing, there isn't anything for you to be sorry about! All those things you said, they aren't even close to being true! I already told you, to us you are perfect! So stop acting like you're not good enough! We love you, and you love us, that's all that matters! And if that's not good enough for everyone, or anyone looks down on us, or tries to tell us we're in the wrong, or if anyone dares to say your not good enough, then fuck them! You ignore every goddamn word! You hear me!? We need you Tsukune! I need you! So please, please, I beg you, stop doubting yourself! I can't stand it!"
Tsukune was speechless for several moments, wracking his brain for a response, but before he could give it, Yukari, Ruby, Mizore and Kurumu joined the hug, all of them asking if he was okay.
Moka stood back, but she wiped a stray tear away as she watched them.
Kyouko also didn't join in, only because this was something she felt she wasn't apart of.
It took a few moments, but Tsukune was able to make himself heard to the girls, however he went with just a few words, "I...I love you all, so much..."
All the girls hugging him, snuggled into him as much as they possibly could, not really caring they were doing the same to each other at this point. As they did Tsukune's eyes met Moka's, and the emotion in them caused the silver haired vampire to sigh, before joining the group hug as well. She did so while thinking, "Just this once..."
Everyone watched as they did this, but no one dared to interrupt them all.
Fang Fang sat down next to Kyouko at that point and remained silent.
Soon enough though they all let go, and got to their feet. Tsukune's clothes had blood splatter, splotches and streaks almost everywhere, while he wasn't as bloody as Kokoa had been before her shower, he was still quite so. Not to mention the thirty something plus holes in his uniform, which also used to be in his body. His uniform was in tatters, the upper half more so than the lower half, since there was only perhaps ten holes in his pants at most, most of the holes in his jacket and shirt, leaving more of his upper body exposed than covered.
As Tsukune cleaned the blood off his face, he noticed that some of his blood had gotten on Kokoa's clothes when she hugged him.
At the same time Kokoa really took in his appearance, and as much as she tried not to, she couldn't help but shudder, the image of her lover's body riddled with wounds where the holes in his clothes were, seeping blood and big enough for her to stick two fingers into, would haunt her for a long time to come.
Since Tsukune was now on his feet, and his head was no longer pounding, he picked up the smell that still had most of the student body holding their noses, and when he turned to look at the source of the stink he was caught off guard by the gruesome sight that greeted him. The fourteen soldiers from before were dead, but not just that, it was the way they had been killed. One was missing his head, that alone had Tsukune's eyes quite wide, "Who...who did this?"
At that question all of the girls looked to what Tsukune was looking at, almost causing Kyouko to barf again. Moka was the one to answer the question, "Kokoa happened."
The shock on the young man's face was evident as he turned to Moka, then Kokoa, "Kokoa...you did this...?"
The young red head wasn't sure how to respond, however it seemed Moka did. "She was sure you were dead, so consumed by rage and grief she snapped, and proceeded to give these scum what they deserved. She fought more ferociously today than she has ever before, all for you."
Kokoa couldn't meet Tsukune's eyes at that moment, worried that he thought negatively of her for what she had done, and yet without warning he pulled her into an embrace.
He caressed her hair, careful to not get any blood into it, as he held her to him tightly. And as he held her she couldn't help the fact that she felt even more tears coming on, as they did she couldn't help but wonder how she hadn't dried out because of shedding so many, and on a more serious note she also couldn't help but wonder, "How did I ever live without him..."
Tsukune on the other hand had his thoughts all jumbled up, but he had noticed when Kokoa could no longer meet his gaze, and when that became the case the only thing that mattered was that he comfort her. So even while doing so he couldn't sort out his thoughts on the matter that she had been capable of this brutality, nevertheless no matter what, it would not change how he felt about her or viewed her, which was what he was trying to convey to her in this embrace. And he did so successfully.
Several moments later though everyone's attention, including Tsukune's and his girls's, were drawn to a noise that came from the forest.
All of their eyes stayed at the same location for a few moments, before two figures exited the forest and entered the courtyard. Said individuals were Kazuma and Vladimir. While those two were more than enough to draw attention, it was the way they exited the forest and how they looked that really caught everyone's rapt attention, and caused many of them to become sick to their stomachs.
Kazuma was calm and upright, not having even a single scratch on his body, or even any damage done to his clothes, not to mention he was dragging an unconscious Vladimir by his right leg.
Vladimir's condition was much different, his sunglasses weren't anywhere in sight, his upper body was bare, his shirt, battle vest, trench coat and gloves were all gone, and his upper body was covered in third degree burns. Which left more than half of it a sickly white with splotches of brown and red mixed in, with just small twinges of black mixed in here and there, part of his hairless head included in the damaged areas. The sight was grotesque, it caused more than a few students to lose their breakfast, Kyouko included, even though she didn't have anything left to throw up. And anyone who didn't throw up visibly gagged, except for Moka, Kokoa and Mizore. Yet even they seemed a bit disturbed at the sight of the counselor so fucked up.
Kazuma dragged Vladimir, who was lying on his back, several feet into the courtyard, before letting go of him and proceeding to take in his surroundings, taking notice of the fact that all his men were dead. And since that was the case, even with everyone's eyes looking in his direction, even if they were focused on Vladimir, except for Tsukune who's gaze was focused solely on him, Kazuma reached into his coat and pulled out a two way radio, before putting it to his ear and speaking, "Operation...commence."
Even after he said these words and lowered his two way radio, which he still had a firm grip on, Tsukune and him kept eye contact. At that point in time, they both came to the conclusion that in the end they would be the ones to face off.
The loud roar of several engines could be heard closing in on the courtyard now, signalling more vehicles were coming.
In just a matter of moments eight more identical armored vans to the one already in the courtyard, rolled up and came to a stop all beside each other. And just like the one before them the back came down like a walkway for one van after the other.
The first six vans of the eight new ones opened up and eighteen Fairy Tale soldiers came down the incline of each, all of them armed with assault rifles, no doubt their bullets were also enchanted. They all lined up behind Kazuma, their total number at one hundred and eight men.
The seventh van of the eight opened and sixteen more troopers exited, but they lined up in two different lines, showing respect for whoever else was getting out of the van. This being was seen as it stepped into the light, however it wasn't exactly a person, it was a set of floating samurai armor with a chain wrapped around it's waist, holding a sheathe and the sword in it against him, with a long cape billowing behind him. Finally where the face protection samurai armor came with, was instead a golden Noh mask, except the eyes and mouth portion had been cut out...and yet the fangs in the mouth area somehow remained.
Quite frankly no one in the student body was sure what kind of monster this guy was supposed to be...invisible man perhaps? No one in the vicinity except for Kazuma really knew.
Kazuma turned to the floating armor and greeted him, "Gaiden Ki, I haven't seen you in quite a while. As always my Mistress has impeccable taste."
Gaiden responded in his deep, groggy voice, "Kazuma, I'm as surprised as you are. I thought this was the Seventh Division's operation, I did not know I would be asked to accompany you, especially since you brought all of your men."
Kazuma nodded his head before replying, "Indeed. Nevertheless it is always a delight to get the chance see the fifth subdivision leader in action."
And then finally the eighth van opened, letting sixteen soldiers out, who all lined up with their comrades near Kazuma and Gaiden. But even though no one lined up so as to show them some respect, someone else did exit the van...
When said person was visible, many eyes widened, for no one had ever expected to see this person again...
The one who stood before the whole student body and the faculty, and even more importantly Tsukune and his girls, was none other than...Kuyo.
Tsukune's eyes narrowed, as did Moka's, Kurumu's, Mizore's, Ruby's and even Yukari's. They hadn't expected this bastard to show up.
Kuyo wore the same attire he had the last time they saw him, even though the discipline committee had been defunct for two whole years now. He also wore that damn near maniacal smirk of his, all his arrogance visible within it. When he saw Tsukune and his girls though, a very smug look came over his face, which just made Tsukune and his girls who knew Kuyo to want to kick his teeth in. Kokoa did as well, just not as badly as the other girls or Tsukune did.
The cocky Kuyo, surprisingly, did not speak or try to speak over Kazuma, as he began to speak. "You all know what we're here for, anyone who refuses to join dies, and this school is to be completely leveled, so get to it!"
All troopers then shouted, "SIR YES SIR!"
So as the hundred fourty soldiers began to take aim at many of the students, some of them setting their sights on all of the girls, Tsukune was quick to step in front of them with his arms out so as to protect them. Before they could fire, or the girls could move Tsukune out of the way, which they were going to do, he raised his voice so everyone could hear him and spoke, "Everyone listen to me! These men are here to kill not just me, but all the people I love, as well as all of you! Your friends, your lovers, your siblings, your parents, your children they don't care, just as long it brings them closer to their goal! They won't stop no matter who it is they have to cut down! I know that since I'm human, especially since it's only half, that you must all despise me, but please, I beg of you, help me protect the ones I hold dear! And in turn I will do the same for you, as will everyone else here! If we all band together we can keep each other safe! If we just work together, we can drive these bastards out of our school! If we stand together, no one can stop us! So I ask you, are you WITH ME!?"
The desperation in Tsukune's voice was evident, and yet...there was something in his tone that almost compelled everyone to act, for no more than a moment after his speech did the entire student body, including the ones inside, as well as most of the faculty, except for a few individuals, all called out, "HELL YEAH!"
And with that the entirety of the student body that was outside charged towards the hundred and fourty troopers, Boro and his three friends leading said charge. And as they did many students inside the main building were exiting and joining the others as fast as they could, and several faculty members opted to do the same.
And as they all rushed past Tsukune, he couldn't help but feel just a bit relieved that he and his girls wouldn't be doing this on their own, with Fang Fang and Ling Ling being the only available backup.
Finally the sound of gunfire began to echo across the courtyard as all of the fairy tale troopers opened fire on the student body...Tsukune and his girls in the thick of it.
Without even a word Tsukune, his girls, Fang Fang and Ling Ling all seemed to know what to do...
As Gaiden moved to intercept Tsukune's and Moka's approach towards Kazuma, Kurumu and Yukari cut him off.
The two girls stared down the empty floating armor without a word for several moments, both parties sizing each other up, however Gaiden apparently didn't think they were much after a look, "Move out of my way, I have a far more important target than you two."
Kurumu was the first to respond to the floating enemy, her wings and claws out and at the ready, "You know what Yukari, I'm getting really tired of being underestimated and passed over for someone else."
As the young girl twirled her wand she responded, "I agree. It's getting really old, really fast."
"So what do you say my flat chested friend? How about we show this tacky armor guy just how strong we are?"
Finished twirling her wand, it now gripped tightly in her right hand, Yukari moved it to her signature battle position as she responded once more, "I say we do it and let him have it my big tittied rival."
The two girls looked towards each other, making eye contact, before looking back at Gaiden, doing so while proclaiming, "We're gonna take you down!"
And that was all the warning Gaiden got, before Yukari raised her wand, which was already glowing, and attacked, "Golden washtub attack!"
As the young witch's signature attack rained down, Kurumu dashed towards their opponent.
The floating armor looked up as his young opponent called out the name of her attack, where he saw several washtubs made of gold falling towards him. Most fighters who weren't ridiculously strong would avoid this attack, if for nothing more than to spare themselves a bump on the head and a small headache, and sometimes the embarrassment that came with being hit with this move. However that was not the case with Ki, he instead chose to draw his sword from it's sheathe, revealing the two and a half foot blade, the hilt adding another six inches onto the length of the weapon, before he took a single step back and proceeded to draw his sword back, before slashing forward and then sideways. Gaiden gripped his katana with both hands as he remained still after the second slash, and only after a moment of him doing so did what he do show itself.
Just before the four golden washtubs hit the ground, two of them split in half down the middle, while the other two split in half sideways. So when they hit the ground, instead of four golden washtubs, there were eight pieces of what used to be four. And while that wasn't an altogether a great feat, the skill Ki showed by doing so that quickly, that smoothly and with only two swings, let his two opponents see he was quite a swordsman. However at that moment it didn't matter, as before the floating armor could see her, Kurumu closed in and threw her right arm forward with as much force as she could muster, allowing her now claw like nails to pierce and completely go through his armor as if it was nothing, also tearing through his cape. "I've got you!"
The young succubus's claws entered through Ki's breastplate and came out through the back of it, a surely fatal blow for almost any monster. The only problem...Ki was not an ordinary monster.
Gaiden looked down slightly, so as to see the face of his attacker, but instead of a cocky smirk like he expected her to have, she instead wore a confused expression. Nevertheless he acted, doing so by letting go of his katana, but only with his right hand, before wrapping his now free hand tightly around Kurumu's throat, causing her eyes to widen in shock. He then lifted her off the ground, three feet off the ground to be exact, forcibly removing her claws from his cape and armor in the process. "No, I've got you."
Gaiden then pulled his sword back, preparing to strike the now dangling succubus, causing her eyes to widen even further, in fear this time rather than shock. And then her eyes tried to meet his, but where one's eyes would be in the mask was just darkness instead, which spiked the seventeen year old's fear even higher. Frightened for her life, she lashed out with her left set of claws, trying to pierce his mask, but he merely moved his head to the side casually, as if he could barely be bothered to avoid the attack at all. She then began to thrash around, using every part of her body to fight back, however his grip on her neck never faltered, and his grip on his katana tightened, as he prepared to thrust it forward.
Yukari was already at work though, her wand glowing as she used two spells to attack her enemy and save her friend at the same time.
"Tarrot card torrent!" A torrent of paper cards was soaring towards her opponent, swerving around Kurumu and shooting forward at Ki from behind, all of them aimed at either the upper back of his armor, or the back of his helmet.
"Golden washtub attack!" Several more golden washtubs had been summoned and were falling from the sky, their trajectory had them all looking to land on Ki's head.
Gaiden could see both of these attacks coming, so he quickly sidestepped to the right, before launching himself over a dozen feet backwards, slashing at the cards as they followed. However while he did avoid the washtubs, only one slice wasn't enough to cut down all of the paper cards, so he was forced to retreat several more feet backwards as he swung his sword a few more times so as to destroy the cards trying to attack him. He was successful in managing to cut up all the cards, and while a few did hit him, they only hit his breastplate. He still had Kurumu by the throat, and while she hadn't been injured during that, she was slowly losing oxygen, if she didn't get free soon she would suffocate to death.
Yukari's eyes narrowed somewhat as she formed a theory, which she quickly decided to test, her wand glowing brighter as she got another spell ready.
"Tarrot card storm!" With that well over a hundred paper cards appeared, before swirling around their caster almost violently for several moments, until she pointed her wand at Ki, using it to aim her attack, as the cards began to shoot off at their target rapid fire style.
This attack was much more intense than the last one, anyone could see that. So with that evident Gaiden quickly tossed Kurumu aside, the young succubus rolling a few feet after hitting the ground, before gripping his katana with both hands and beginning to unleash as many slashes as he could to defend himself. However there were just too many cards and they were coming just too fast, so he was finally forced to retreat so much that he ended up in the forest. As he did this he continued to cut down as many of the cards as he could, sometimes that wasn't enough and he ended up blocking his head with one of his arms, nevertheless he kept at it and eventually he had been hit or had destroyed every single card. Even still it was quite clear that he hadn't been damaged in the slightest.
Yukari had made sure to follow after him and take this all in, in doing so her theory had been confirmed and she could now set the plan she had been thinking up since the start of the battle in motion.
So, despite never having used it in battle, the young witch then cast a spell she had been working on for quite sometime, lifting her wand high into the air as she did.
"Root Control: Bind!" Thick roots from the four trees nearest to Gaiden burst out of the ground around him, before wrapping around his form several times, going from where his stomach would be to where his neck would be, also wrapping around his arms a few times as well, rendering him completely incapable of movement...at least it should have, but...
Gaiden turned his head slightly to the right and looked down at himself, before turning to the left and doing the same thing, then he looked directly at Yukari as he spoke, "Do you really think this can hold me? You've no idea what you've gotten yourself into little girl..."
A confident grin was on Yukari's face, even as she was sweating bullets she knew she had him right where she wanted him. "Why don't you tell me?"
With a flick of her wand the roots began to squeeze Ki, exerting so much pressure that the iron plated armor of his began to violently crack. If the hold continued to get tighter, then the armor would surely shatter. And yet Gaiden did not seem even slightly concerned, in fact he actually shook his head in disappointment, "Pitiful..."
Then, without warning, the golden Noh mask broke off from the rest of the armor, and began floating all on it's own. However before it could shoot off, so as to get away, another root, which had been hiding under the others, quickly shot up and wrapped around the mask, before slamming it back into it's place in the armor. And as it held it there, one more root came from underground and wrapped around the helmet and the root holding the mask in place, completely trapping the mask in the armor, making it an easy target, a sitting duck, a quick kill.
This greatly surprised the monster, "WHAT THE HELL!? How could you have possibly known-"
The thirteen year old witch wagged a finger at Ki, her confident grin still present as she explained, "You misjudged me just because I'm younger than the others. You should never underestimate your opponent, it could get you killed, just like you're about to be. As for how I figured it out, people seem to forget why such a young girl like me is here at Yokai academy, it's because I'm a genius. All I had to do was study your actions. You cut up the washtubs that were supposed to hit your head, but when Kurumu impaled you on her claws you didn't even try to dodge, however you did put in the effort to evade when she tried to do the same to your mask. Then when I hit you with my tarrot card storm, the only part of you that you tried to defend was your mask. At every turn the mask was the only thing you tried to keep safe, so I was able to come to a conclusion, I was able to figure out what kind of monster you are. You're one of the rare Soul Masks, a type of monster that is created after the death of another monster. When a monster dies, if they refuse to pass on their forcibly dragged to the other side, however if they somehow manage to hold onto this mortal coil, then they turn into what is known as a Soul Mask, a type of spirit that must feed on others souls to continue to exist. Soul Masks have one huge huge weakness though, if you destroy their mask, then they cease to exist, on the other hand their strength is that they can attach themselves to objects for makeshift bodies and even other monsters, where they would proceed to consume not only their soul but their monster energy as well, making them stronger with each victim."
Someone then proceeded to whistle, which drew both Yukari's and Gaiden's attention to the person who did it.
Kurumu stood just a few feet from Yukari, she had been the one who whistled. "Sometimes I forget just how smart you are Yukari, it's hard to believe you were able to figure that out so fast. That would explain why his armor is empty. And what is this? I've never seen you use this technique before, what's it called?"
Yukari let a big smile cross her face as she responded, "It's called root control, it's something I've been working on for a long time. This is actually the first time I've used it in battle."
"It must be pretty draining on your monster energy..."
Yukari let her confusion show on her face as she said, "What do you mean by that?"
Kurumu seemed much calmer than usual, she was sure of what she was saying, "Look at yourself Yukari, your sweating bullets and your short on breath, you look pretty tired to me."
The young witch quickly realized her older rival was correct, she was indeed displaying signs of great fatigue. "I didn't think it would take that much out of me..."
The disappointment in her voice was evident, so Kurumu tried to help. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll get better at it."
Yukari honestly felt a bit better because of those words.
Gaiden was enraged, not only by being defeated and being figured out by a mere child, but for also being treated as if he was no longer a threat, "Ignore me if you wish, I care not! But know that in doing so you've sealed your fate!"
With those words Gaiden forcibly pulsed his monster energy at max potency, completely disintegrating the roots that bound him into nothingness. "Now die!"
Gaiden gripped his katana tightly with both hands, before soaring forward at top speed toward the two girls.
As he continued to draw closer Kurumu let her wings free and grew her nails into claws once more, speaking as she did so, "Yukari, when I give you the signal I want you to yank that sword out of his grasp, okay?"
The young witch nodded her head, "Alright."
Confident Yukari wouldn't let her down, Kurumu floated a few feet into the air, before speeding towards Gaiden, intent on meeting him dead on. As she continued to draw closer to him, she put her arms out in front of her and together, before beginning to spin, and spin, and spin...until she was spinning so fast that she looked like a whirling corkscrew.
As the two flying monsters drew closer to each other, Yukari watched anxiously, her wand at the ready so as to perform her next spell. Soon enough she had to, as she heard, "Yukari, NOW!"
With that the young witch flicked her wrist, pointing her wand towards Gaiden, as she cast one more spell, "Root Control: Whip!"
One last root burst from the ground, before swinging like a whip towards Ki, hitting his weapon and knocking it out of his hand, which gave Kurumu the advantage in the clash they were merely a moment from engaging in.
Gaiden didn't even have time to think about his missing weapon, as he collided head on with Kurumu, where he was violently eviscerated into dozens of pieces, his mask included, killing him and destroying his very soul almost instantly.
Kurumu slowly came to a stop after that, before descending a few feet until her feet hit the ground, where she was met by Yukari, who she proceeded to high five as they proclaimed in unison, "We did it!"
Gaiden Ki, the fifth subdivision leader of the organization known as Fairy Tale, was no more.
As their friends rushed off to battle, the injured Ruby and Mizore hurried over to Vladimir so as to get him to safety. While they did that Kokoa sprinted towards her sister's rosary, scooping it up and tucking it away, before joining Mizore and Ruby, since they'd need her help.
They had one of his arms around each of their shoulders, each girl trying to support half his weight, but Ruby was limping, which made progress slow. So Kokoa took him from them, and supported his whole body weight by herself, which allowed Mizore to help Ruby, and since Kyouko wasn't injured, all five of them were able to get to the main building of Yokai academy and get inside safely, where they would proceed to take Vladimir to the infirmary.
Fang Fang and Ling Ling, despite the former's injuries, were helping the other students to take on the fairy tale soldiers.
Despite Ling Ling trying to offer him assistance, Fang Fang insisted he was fine and ran on his own. Even with his injury he was able to outmaneuver most of the students, most of whom were being shot down by the hundred and fourty fairy tale troopers. So far no one had been able to breach the soldiers's defenses, however that was quickly changed by Fang Fang and his sister.
Fang Fang ducked, dodged and weaved around every person in his way until he got to the front, where most of the casualties were mounting at, where the soldiers were mowing everyone down, Ling Ling right behind him.
They came face to face with the soldiers, which is when Fang Fang ducked and shot his good arm forward, slamming his fist into one of their guts, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to stop firing, he then proceeded to hit him with a strong uppercut, taking him off his feet and ending with him slamming onto the stone ground.
Another trooper quickly used that as his chance to fire upon Fang Fang, however Ling Ling quickly jumped in front of her brother, taking the bullets for him. And as bullet after bullet ripped through her, yet no blood came and she didn't even flinch, the soldier became quite frightened, especially since she had a scowl on her face. "How dare you try to attack my brother..."
That soldier was now sure he had signed his death warrant.
Tsukune's sights were on Kazuma as he rushed towards him, however he was intercepted by none other than Kuyo, said fox stopping the young man by appearing in his pathway, the former jumping a few feet back as the ladder did so.
Kuyo had a smug grin on his face, even as he spoke, "Ah, Tsukune Aono, the worthless human scum. Although I suppose now it would be half human. I haven't seen you or those girls of yours in two years, and now that I'm back, we'll have to get...reacquainted. I only wish Ginei was here, so that I could make him watch your suffering, before I ended his pathetic existence as well."
A firm scowl was embedded into Tsukune's face at that moment, "Damn you Kuyo, you just couldn't learn your lesson could you? The things you did here, they were wrong, they were vile, just as bad as anything the humans you claim to hate so much could do. You're no better than them, and you got what you deserved!"
The smug smirk on the long blonde haired man's face did not fade, "So you say, but what are mere words from a weakling like you? After I've disposed of you nothing you've ever said in your life will matter anymore, they'll just be the empty promises, claims and statements of a dead man. And no one is here to save you this time, so it's over for you. Now, meet the fate that every human will one day face."
With those words Kuyo began to transform. It only took a few moments as the taller man was consumed in flame, his body shifting somewhat, before he entered the very same form that nearly ended not only Gin's life, but Mizore's as well. Not to mention that he also brutalized Moka in her weakened state because of the blood transfusion.
Tsukune's thoughts, "This form...it's the same one he used to try and end the girls, it's the same one that only Moka could stand up to. I'm pretty sure Vladimir could take him, but he's seriously injured, hell he's not even conscious. And Kokoa...no I don't even want to take the chance that he's stronger than Kokoa, I refuse to risk her life like that. If Aqua was correct, then at a hundred percent I should be more than a match for him, however since I can't willingly access that much at one time...then I'll just have to hit him hard and fast, and hope it's enough to take him down. But first I have to draw on all the monster energy I can..."
As the holy lock began to glow and he began drawing on his power, Tsukune spoke once more, "So you've fallen so hard that you now work under others. I'll be honest, I never expected you to take orders from another, I was sure you'd rather die first."
It seemed that the young man's attempt to buy time would work, because instead of attacking right away, Kuyo merely replied, his smug expression slowly warping into one akin to maniacal glee. "I hate to admit it, but you're right."
"Then why join Fairy Tale? Surely you knew that you weren't strong enough to take it over. You can take it from me, I fought the fourth subdivision leader, Raiden, he was just as strong as you were when the girls fought you two years ago. That leaves you in a predicament, because there are ten people in that organization who are even stronger than him, which means their stronger than you as well. One of them not even twenty feet from us. And then there's Aqua, I'm not sure which division leader she is, but you wouldn't stand a chance in hell against her, we sure didn't, even Moka couldn't beat her. So what on Earth made you think you could?"
"Who said that I've joined them? I merely used them to get here, to this point in time. Ever since that day you filthy scum managed to take me down, all I've done is plot my revenge. I've grown stronger, and now that I'm here, I'll show you criminals that no crime will go unpunished, as I never show lenience! Now then, I do believe I've allowed you enough time to power up, so no more stalling."
Tsukune's eyes widened at that, "Damn! He knew I was trying to buy time, and worse he let me do it, he must have at least an idea that I can't use a hundred percent of my power. This isn't good..."
The young man was already at his max for whatever it was worth, sixty five percent flowing through his bloodstream, that was as good as it was going to get without bulking him up or wearing him down in mere moments.
Kuyo didn't give his younger opponent anymore time to draw on his monster energy, or to try and think up a battle plan, not knowing he already kind of had one, lunging at him ready to kill, "Prepare to die scum!"
Tsukune jumped to the left, barely managing to avoid the monstrous fiery haymaker Kuyo had thrown, but the young man didn't even have time to counterattack, as the flame from the punch looked ready to combust even further, which would spread the fire outward. How far? Tsukune had no idea, so he quickly threw himself backwards nearly a dozen feet, landing on his back and sliding a few inches, as the flame expanded ten feet rapidly, almost far enough for the young man to have his clothes ignited.
Before the bluish white flame died down, or Tsukune could attempt to get to his feet, Kuyo rushed out of the flame and tried to kill the young man while he was down, jumping towards him and coming down with a powerful right straight. The young brown haired boy quickly rolled out of the way, allowing the stone ground to take the impact for him, which gave way readily to Kuyo's fist, which was now buried in the courtyard ground.
Tsukune took that as his chance, jumping to his feet, before ramming his right foot into Kuyo's face as hard as he possibly could. While he gave no verbal signs of pain after the kick, blood did begin to trail down the right side of his mouth. The blonde man didn't react, he merely pulled his fist out of the stone ground and slowly stood up straight. As he did, the young man couldn't help but think to himself, "Whether it hurt him or not, it still felt good to hit the bastard."
The fiery monster turned towards his opponent, his smug smirk present once more. "Is that all you've got?"
The young half human was quick to respond, "Not even close."
With that said Tsukune proceeded to unleash a barrage of blows, punching Kuyo in the chest, the gut and the sides as hard and as fast as he could. However each blow did nothing, they didn't even leave a scratch, and yet the young ghoul just kept going, slamming his fists into Kuyo over and over. No matter how hard or fast he punched though, he didn't do much damage, if any at all. This was quite amusing to Kuyo, so much so that he proceeded to throw his head back and begin laughing hysterically, as if this was the funniest thing he had ever seen. And as Tsukune continued to ram his fists into Kuyo's abdomen over and over, the blonde monster's laughter just continued to grow louder, until finally it subsided enough for him to speak, "How pathetic. Your power is so insignificant compared to mine, your blows do little more than tickle me, it's laughable that anyone thought you were able to defeat me. Without those pathetic girls of yours to protect you, you're absolutely nothing. When I'm through killing you, I'll show your body to them, seeing their expressions of disbelief, fear and sorrow will just make my day. But don't worry, unlike yours, their deaths will be quick. After all, I promised you that didn't I?"
Tsukune had yet to stop hitting Kuyo, his head was currently down, his hair covering his eyes as he listened to the asshole talk and continued to throw everything he had at him. His holy lock was glowing red, but only faintly. Finally as Kuyo brought up his promise from two years ago, Tsukune could take no more, he stopped, but only for a moment, before he lashed out and put everything he had into a right haymaker, ramming his right fist into the blonde bastard's face with all his might, using several more percent of his power than he had a few moments ago. The added strength to the blow had Kuyo skidding backwards several feet from the force of the impact, blood now leaking from the left side of his mouth as well as the right. However he still seemed unfazed, as he merely stood up erect once more, before wiping the blood away that was trickling from both sides of his mouth, his smug grin still present. "I was wondering when you'd throw a real punch. But even still, if that's the best you can do then I'll just have to take the fight to that vampire bitch, so I can see how my new strength stacks up."
Tsukune's teeth were grit quite hard, and yet that wasn't enough to keep him from reacting to the bright white prick. "To hell with that! I won't even let you within ten feet of her!"
And just like that Tsukune was dashing toward his opponent, and once he was close enough to attack he threw a vicious right haymaker, which Kuyo caught almost effortlessly with his left hand. "How can you do that, when you're not alive to stop me!?"
The long blonde haired monster then slammed his right fist into the young brown haired boy's gut with all his might, causing him to hunch over and hock up a mouthful of blood. The ex security committee chairman then let go of his opponent's fist, before lifting his left arm, and bringing it down fast, elbowing the young half human in the back, knocking him down to the stone ground, cracking it a bit upon impact. Without pausing, the older monster then kicked the young man in the jaw, knocking him back several feet and flipping him over to where he landed on his back instead of his stomach.
Kuyo then proceeded to leisurely stroll over to his downed opponent, halfway through doing so he began to speak, "This really is pathetic, I could have killed you several times over by now, but even with all the extra time I've given you to live, all you can do is prove just how miserably inadequate you really are."
Kuyo was now upon Tsukune, where he then lifted his right foot and rested it upon the ladder's chest, and slowly began to put more and more pressure on, as he ground his foot into his abdomen. After several moments the sound of bones beginning to crack could be heard, the blonde monster just talked over the noise, "Without those girls of yours to protect you, you're nothing! Hell your barely stronger than that weakling Ginei Morioka! The penalty for humans who enter these grounds is death, and while it may be two years late, today I will dole it out!"
As he pulled his right fist back it was consumed in bluish white flame, this was a killing blow for anyone below Kuyo's level. And yet, even as death stared him in the face, Tsukune did not cower, he could only find anger, this was one of the very few people the young man hated more than anything. He'd rather see him dead than switch sides, or even just give up his vile ways, no matter what happened, he would always hate this sunuva bitch. So he scoffed, "Gin, weak? The only thing weak about that guy is his resistance to doing something perverted. No, Gin is strong, much stronger than you could ever be! He fought for this school, no matter what you did to him he continued to fight back, until you did the unthinkable and began killing off his friends! How could someone who's weak survive something like that!? If it was me...if my girls had been killed...I'd end my own life, because I couldn't stand the agony. But Gin just kept going, even when he was all alone...until he found new friends, me, Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, Ruby, Kokoa, we're his friends! He's helped us out so many times, if it wasn't for him we might not have made it here. He's my best friend, and I refuse to allow you to talk about him as if he isn't worth a damn!"
With that Tsukune grabbed Kuyo's foot with both hands, before exerting himself to the max, slowly forcing the appendage upward, surprising the blonde bastard somewhat. Nevertheless he remained calm...at least as calm as he had been during the past few minutes. "Are those really what you want to be your last words? Do you really want to die while singing praise for someone else? And false praise at that? That scum is not strong, not even in the slightest. Ginei Morioka is nothing more than a pathetic, perverted loser who can't even protect his friends, and worst of all...he's a human sympathizer!"
Kuyo then shot his flame charged right fist down toward his opponent. Just as it was going to make contact, Tsukune exerted himself even further, managing to shove the foot upwards, knocking his flaming opponent off balance. As the blonde monster tried to regain his balance, a voice rang out, "Let me show you just how strong I am you bastard!"
Moving so fast he was nothing but a blur, Gin shoulder charged Kuyo, ramming the entirety of his body weight into the blonde shoulder first, knocking him to the ground and causing him to tumble backwards almost a dozen feet, stone fragments breaking off and being knocked up every step of the way.
The fully transformed werewolf then turned to Tsukune, before reaching out a hand to him. The young ghoul hesitated only for a moment, mainly because he was surprised to see Gin, before he took it and allowed his friend to help him to his feet, where they both proceeded to fist bump. It almost looked comical considering how much bigger Gin's hands were while in his werewolf form, but neither one of them seemed to notice it.
Gin had a very large smirk, or the werewolf equivalent of one at least, which prompted Tsukune to forget what he was going to say, and instead ask, "What's the cheesy smile for?"
"I never knew you thought so highly of me, I'm flattered man."
The young brown haired boy had to fight the urge to roll his eyes as he replied, "Yeah, just don't let it go to your head."
The half human quickly snapped out of it, as he asked what he was going to ask before Gin distracted him. "Anyways, you always seem to show up whenever we need you the most, how do you do that?"
Gin let the werewolf equivalent of a smirk across his face go from cheesy and happy to cocky as he replied, "I just have a sixth sense when it comes to needing to save your ass, that's all."
The werewolf let that statement hang there for a moment, before waving it off and answering honestly, "It's not me this time. Mizore sent me a letter, told me that things just kept escalating here, what with Kurumu's body almost shutting down on itself and everything. She also said that I was the only one she trusted beside herself and the other girls to keep you safe, so she wanted me to come back and help you guys out. And I sure as hell wasn't going to refuse, I owe you guys a lot, and...well...you guys are the only friends I have left, I'll always help you guys out when you need it."
Tsukune couldn't help but let a warm smile cross his face, "Thanks Gin, that really means a lot."
"Ah, don't mention it."
The two did not get to converse anymore than that, as Kuyo was now on his feet once more and he finally seemed at least somewhat effected, looking quite annoyed and perhaps a tad angry, on second glance scratch that, a lot angry.
Tsukune and Gin quickly snapped to battle positions as they prepared to take on the man that, for the former, nearly killed the girls he loved and his best friend, and for the ladder, sent all his friends to an early grave. Today, they were both determined to get some payback.
Moka's advance upon Kazuma was unimpeded, reaching him in a matter of moments, and she didn't spare time for words, instead opting to close in and use a right spin kick to ram her foot into the seventh division leader's face, or that's what she tried to do at least.
What actually happened was moments before her foot met his face, he brought both hands in front of him, one side ways, the other upright holding the first from behind for support, palms open, using them to block the kick.
Even when the kick connected with his hands he didn't budge an inch, and in an instant both realized something was wrong, however only Moka knew what, "Shit. With so much of my blood gone, it'll take a few minutes before I'm back to full strength."
The seventeen year old vampire quickly retracted her foot, before trying for a left spin kick, which he blocked as well. She pulled her leg back, before lashing out with it for a side kick, which Kazuma blocked. She then pulled back once more, before unleashing a flurry of left side kicks, kicking high, low, and trying to slide through the middle when she thought she could, however the seventh division leader merely separated his hands and began using both to block each and every kick, not letting even one past his defenses. This lasted for almost half a minute, before finally Kazuma blocked a mid kick, but refused Moka the time to pull back, stopping her from doing so by locking her left foot in a tight grip with his left hand, however instead of using that opportunity to attack, he instead chose to speak, "My Mistress has told me all about you Moka, she speaks nothing but the highest praises, not even once have I ever heard her say one negative thing about you. This includes your abilities in combat, I know that your much stronger than this. So then, why are your kicks so weak? With your healing abilities, it should feel like the damage my Mistress inflicted upon you never even happened. Unless..."
That's when Kazuma figured it out, the holes in Tsukune's clothing, the brutal way his men had been killed, and finally Moka being in a very weakened state.
Moka's eyes narrowed as she realized that he had figured it out.
"Ah, so that's it. You've given him another blood injection, which means you'll be severely weakened for several minutes. Well since that's the case..."
Kazuma then wrapped his right hand around Moka's ankle, before taking a step back and twisting his body slightly, as if getting ready to swing a baseball bat, before lifting the vampire girl off the ground and hurling her upwards towards the roof off the main building of Yokai academy. Doing so while finishing his statement, "...allow me to give you the time you need to recuperate!"
Moka soared upwards with great velocity, but quickly came to a crashing halt as she collided with the entrance to the roof that led down into the main building, breaking through and causing the walls around the door to collapse and block off the stairway, leaving her unconscious in a pile of rubble.
Boro Senju had led the charge with three of his friends, but the four pulled a tactical retreat when they got to the front, barely managing to keep themselves alive against the storm of bullet fire. They had circled around, and were about to attack the fairy tale troopers from behind.
Boro glanced back at the three closest to him, doing his best to assure himself that they'd all be okay.
The first was his brother, Twig Senju. He had hazel eyes, short messy black hair, stood a five nine and had fair skin. He of course wore the standard school uniform, except his jacket was halfway open.
The second was his best friend, Sono Komaru. He had yellow eyes, somewhat spiky brown hair, stood six foot and was easily the palest of the four, though not as pale as most vampires. Just like his three comrades he wore the school uniform, except his tie was rather loose and his jacket was all the way open.
Finally there was his other best friend and sometimes rival, Cyrus Katsuyu. He had light brown eyes, no hair to speak of, stood at five foot eleven and had dark skin. He wore the school uniform exactly as it was supposed to be worn, just like Boro did.
Boro, the leader of the group, then asked them, "You guys ready for this?"
The other three looked at each other, then back to Boro before answering in unison, "As ready as we'll ever be."
"Good, let's go."
The four then charged at the hundred fourty soldiers from behind, all of them transforming into their monster forms as they closed in.
Both Boro and Twig grew four feet, as their hair transformed into leaves, and their skin into bark, and the roots of their hair changing into branches. By the time they were done transforming they were walking and talking trees, while not exactly the most intimidating monsters, they could pack a lot of power into their attacks. They were Tree People, an A-class monster race.
Sono grew a foot, fur covered his body, wings grew from his back and attached themselves to the back of his arms, and his ears got bigger as well. Fangs grew from his mouth, a much bigger set than a vampire would have, and his eyes became black with no white. By the time he was done transforming, he was a large bat with a mostly humanoid body, he was a Manbat, an A-class monster.
Cyrus grew two feet, every part of his body bulked up and puffed out somewhat, as well as growing a good deal thicker, and his skin turned to stone. His jaw grew out somewhat, giving him a bit of an under bite, and his eyes became milky white. When he was done he looked like a Golem from ancient myths. He was a Stone Golem, an A-class monster.
Now that they were all transformed, they went to work from behind the enemy forces, killing at least a dozen men before anyone could do anything about it.
Moka held her head with her right hand as she stood up, rising from the rubble she had been lying in just moments ago. She stood there for a moment, as she shook off the bit of dizziness she felt, before wiping the dust off her clothes that she was near covered in. She then took a moment to examine her surroundings, she was on the same rooftop she and everyone else had battled Kuyo upon.
That's when someone leapt onto the rooftop, drawing the silver haired vampire's attention. It was Kazuma, the same person who had thrown her up here. He had a small smirk on his face as he slowly approached her, "I believe you should be at a hundred percent by now, after all you've been unconscious for roughly five minutes, so the blood you gave should have been replaced."
"You're right, I'm roughly at a hundred percent. Since that's the case, this time the outcome of our skirmish will be much different."
"We'll see about that."
With that the two charged at each other with great speed, closing in on each other in a matter of a single moment. Kazuma tried for a right straight, but Moka swayed to her right, avoiding the attack, before grabbing onto his outstretched arm and hoisting herself upward, where she proceeded to ram her right leg into the back of his neck as hard as she possibly could, sending him soaring to where she had just dashed from at speeds near unmatched, where he collided with the same pile of rubble she had been lying in just moments ago.
As Moka landed gracefully on the ground, Kazuma was already getting to his feet, looking no worse for wear. However he did not try for another attack right away, he instead opted to dust himself off as he spoke, allowing Moka to turn around and face him. "You are quite strong indeed, I knew that coming in. In fact me fighting you in this form was merely a formality, I knew I'd never be able to defeat you as I am now. So then why don't we get down to business..."
Kazuma's monster energy began to pulse as it rose, it continued to do so until it became a visible yellow with a red tint, before in a flash of fire and light two large wings made of pure fire appeared upon the seventh division leader's back. However they were not physically attached to his back, seemingly floating behind him, but were actually connected to him by his monster energy. The entire wingspan was a good seven feet.
Mere moments after this his monster energy leveled out and calmed down, and besides the wings he wasn't much different, however almost anyone could tell you that he was now much more dangerous. "This is stage one of my monster form, and is the same one I used to defeat Vladimir. Let's see how your power stacks up against his."
Moka could feel the large increase in Kazuma's power, better than most people could in fact, however she didn't seem particularly worried. Then again she also didn't seem too thrilled about this new development.
The seventh division leader was the one to move first, dashing towards his silver haired opponent and trying for a left straight once he was close enough, which she proceeded to evade by swaying to her left. But before she could get a chance to counterattack, Kazuma pulled his arm back and went for a lightning quick right round house, which she managed to block with her left arm. The Fairy Tale division leader then tried for a left hook, however Moka shoved his leg away with her left arm, while batting his fist away with her right arm, at the same time she tried to kick her opponent dead in his chest with her left foot. That didn't go as planned, Kazuma recovering from her parries and using his right arm to bat her left leg upwards, while reaching out to grab her right one with his left hand. Seeing this Moka quickly acted, lifting her right leg as well, putting her whole body in the air and in motion, before proceeding to use it to kick off of her opponents chest, allowing her to perform a graceful backflip, landing almost a dozen feet from her enemy, while also causing him to stumble backwards from the force she had used.
Not even a moment after their separating the two were charging back at each other, the younger one going for a right spin kick and the older one going for a right straight. As the two and their attacks collided head on, both of their monster energies fluctuated violently for several moments, before the vampire took her opponent off guard, doing so by lifting her left leg, putting her whole body into the air once more, and proceeding to ram her left foot into the side of his head, sending him soaring once more, this time to her right, while managing to land smoothly on her right foot, keeping herself from falling onto the floor.
Kazuma flew for several feet, before he managed to regain his balance and catch himself, quickly connecting his feet to the ground and skidding to a stop, just a few feet shy of falling off the rooftop.
As Moka put her left leg down, so both her feet were firmly on the ground, her opponent spoke once more. "Very good. Your stronger than Vladimir, just as I knew you'd be, but on top of that your a better fighter as well. So young and yet so skilled in hand to hand combat, remarkable. Nevertheless, I've yet to reach the limits of my power, however I have a feeling we're coming dangerously close to the extent of your own. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see whether I'm right or not..."
Kazuma's monster energy began to rise once more, as it pulsed erratically, almost in tune with the escalating nature of his power, until said energy could be seen once more, this time a fiery red with a yellow tint. The seventh division leader then caught fire, his clothes slowly burning away as the flames grew stronger and continued spread, until he was completely consumed by them. Finally, with another flash of fire and light, the division leader transformed once more. Once the fire and light had faded, Kazuma was shown, where he was nothing but a being of pure flame with a pair of fiery wings to match, which were now actually physically connected to his body. That's what he looked like at least, but after a few moments the fire that it seemed his body was made of faded from existence, leaving him with a light white body, very similar to Kuyo's ultimate form, except the markings that covered him were bright red in color and he was a bit thinner than his fox counterpart.
His hair was no longer being held up by a ponytail holder, draping down to his mid back, having grown after his transformation, the red streaks in it now much thicker, taking up more of his hair, leaving less of it black. His wings were still made of pure flame, a fiery red with yellow mixed in, natural looking fire. The overall span of them had grown by a foot as well. He himself had also grown two inches taller, now standing at six foot six.
Kazuma's monster energy leveled out once more as he spoke, "This is stage two of my monster form, although I'm sure that was pretty obvious by now. Now then, let's see how you stand up against it's power."
Moka was somewhat shocked, his power was indeed great at this point, possibly even greater than her own. Even though she was indeed at her maximum at this point, she wasn't a hundred percent sure of her victory. That would not stop her from fighting back though, not even for a second.
The seventeen year old vampire didn't have any further time to ponder her enemy's new found power, as he raced towards her at incredible speed, closing in and going for a left roundhouse, which she proceeded to block with her right arm. However, when the kick made contact with her arm, it nearly gave way, her guard almost broke from the attack. And even after she did manage to block the kick, Kazuma did not let up, he instead continued to push with his leg, trying to force his attack through her guard, causing her arm to begin shaking as it slowly gave into the force and yet continued to fight against it. So as to stabilize her guard and keep it together, she put her left hand against her forearm and used it to make her blocking technique stronger. This tactic worked, as her arm stopped shaking and no matter how much force he applied with the leg, it would not and could not break through. And yet he did not pull it back...
Moka quickly understood why he didn't, as the arm of her jacket ignited, bursting into flame, consuming half of the right sleeve in only a single moment. The silver haired girl quickly jumped back a few feet, before grabbing the burning arm of her jacket, just above where the flames were, which was just above the elbow, and proceeding to tear it off, separating the burning material from the rest of her jacket. She tossed it to the side, where it burned to ashes in mere moments. This left the right arm of her jacket half gone, but she herself was no worse for ware and neither was the now visible right sleeve of her white shirt, it having sustained no damage either.
This time Moka seemed rather annoyed, "Why don't you try that again, see what happens..."
It was an obvious threat, yet it did not worry Kazuma in the slightest, in fact he took the bait, even as her monster energy pulsed with power. "Alright, as you wish."
The seventh division leader charged once more, this time though he was facing everything his enemy had to offer, the outcome would not be the same.
Moka didn't wait for her enemy to reach her, she ran a few steps, before leaping high into the air, where she proceeded to flip frontward, rapidly and repeatedly. Kazuma, seeing this, quickly came to a stop, watching her for a moment, but as she began to make her descent, he decided to cut her off. He brought his right hand back, it rapidly being consumed by flame as he did, before shooting it forward, lobbing a ball of spinning fire at his opponent, which grew bigger and bigger by the second. "Fire sphere!"
By the time it reached her, it was larger than she, however she forcibly pulsed her monster energy at it's maximum potency, actually disintegrating the fire into nothing as she burst through it. The young silver haired vampire had already been coming down fast, so by the time she made her way through the fire she was three fourths the way there. So as Kazuma pulled his right hand back once more, so as to use another technique, it was too late. She stopped flipping at the last second, coming down hard and slamming her extended right leg onto Kazuma's left shoulder, violently cracking it all to hell and causing him to gasp in pain. She didn't stop there, shooting her left leg forward and ramming her foot into her opponents face, kicking off of it just as he tried to hit her with a fire palm, causing him to stumble back once more and the fire on his palm to fade.
She didn't flip this time, merely sending herself flying backwards, she put her feet to the ground and forced herself to stop, her skidding several feet backwards as she did as it took a few moments for it to work. The young vampire didn't take even a moments rest, already rushing towards her opponent once more, closing in and delivering a hard right kick to the gut, causing him to grunt in pain, hunch over and spit up a mouthful of blood. The silver haired teen then grabbed ahold of his head with both hands, after she had pulled her leg back, before shooting her left leg upwards and ramming her left knee into her opponent's face, breaking his nose on impact and causing him to jerk upward in pain, him being able to do so because she let go of his head. She then performed a right roundhouse kick with all her might, cracking the right side of his skull upon impact and sending him flying to her left extremely fast, where he collided with the rubble from before once more, sending some of it flying off the rooftop.
Moka took a few breaths of air, having given her all in those few attacks. By all means she could keep going, but if those moves hadn't defeated him, it would merely a matter of who could last longer, however seeing as at this point the female vampire was sure her enemy was stronger than her by a reasonable margin, only her healing factor would allow her to win if that was the case.
The vampire didn't get to think on that any further, as the rubble rose and fell as Kazuma stood up, looking decently injured, blood coming from his nostrils, a bit leaking from his mouth, and the fact that he looked like he was in constant pain, not the worst kind of non-stop pain, but relentless pain nevertheless, at least judging from the look on his face. However his tone as he began speaking, was not the one an injured and in danger man would use, "Very well done. By hitting me hard and fast, as well as inflicting as much damage as possible within the few blows that managed to connect, you were able to overcome the difference in not only our physical strength, but our overall power as well. And the monster energy fire disintegration, nice touch. If I was someone else, or even if I was just a different type of monster, you might have been able to win this battle. However I'm not someone else, and I am quite sure I know what kind of monster I am, so I'm afraid that you cannot win."
With those words Kazuma's monster energy began to rise once again, pulsing as it did. The fire from his wings spread to his body, slowly consuming him in flame once more. However, this time instead of a flash of fire and light, the flames merely began burning brighter and hotter, becoming almost uncontrollable as they slowly changed color. Soon enough the fire that consumed him burned a bright hot white, and as it reached that point it began receding, and then in a flash of white fire he finished transforming. His wingspan was a foot longer, it now burned white hot, literally since the fire that they were made of was white, and his hair was now red with small black streaks in it, not to mention the leap in his power. "This is stage three of my monster form, I haven't had to use it in quite some time, so I might be just a bit rusty with it's power. I hope you don't hold that against me."
Moka had a large scowl on her face at this point, "This isn't good, his power has jumped to a new level, one that I can't match. And on top of that all his injuries are gone, he looks as if they'd never even been inflicted upon him. Does he have a healing factor as well? Or is it something else entirely? If I don't even know his capabilities, how am I supposed to beat this guy...?"
After getting a crick out of his neck, Kazuma spoke, "Now then, let's go again."
With that Kazuma charged forward, ready to take the fight to his opponent, while Moka prepared to defend herself to the best of her capability.
Kuyo began to speak now that he was only a few feet from his two opponents, "Looks like the leader of the pathetic losers has arrived, honestly I'm glad you're here Ginei, it saves me the trouble of hunting you down. Now I can-"
Gin couldn't help himself, he quickly charged at the blonde bastard, cutting him off by leaping towards him and trying to take his head of with his claws. The fox spirit caught his enemy's hands just a moment before his claws could make contact with his throat, his feet hitting the ground as his leap ended. Not even a moment after Kuyo proceeded to headbutt the young werewolf, causing his head to jerk back and a bit of blood to go flying out of his mouth. Doing this must have given the fox spirit some kind of satisfaction, as his smug smirk returned. "As I was saying-"
Tsukune cut him off this time, dashing towards him at top speed, getting in close and going for a right high kick to the head. Unlike with Gin, the blonde monster didn't even attempt to stop him, even if his attack did more damage, the kick wouldn't do much. And it didn't, when it made contact it was little more than a mosquito bite to the fiery being...or at least that's what his bravado had him thinking. In actuality in stung like a slap, even if he didn't show it. "I was going to say-"
Kuyo was cut off once more as Gin began to thrash against his hold, slamming both of his feet into his gut in the process, and as he did the monster could feel his anger rising. He vented just a bit of it, doing so by bringing his right knee up and ramming it into his werewolf opponent's gut, causing him to hock up a mouthful of blood. As he put his leg back down he spoke, or tried to at least. "If you dare to interrupt me again I'll-"
The young ghoul did just that by kicking him in the face once more, this time harder, which made his anger swell further, his smirk falling away. And as the half human pulled back for another one, Kuyo flared the fire of his four tails, nearly causing Tsukune's pants to catch fire, which was avoided as he jumped back several feet. The fox spirit then proceeded to toss Gin at the ghoul, and before he knew it he was being knocked over by the werewolf, both of them ending up on the ground.
Kuyo was now in a sour mood, he would enjoy killing these two even more at this point. And as he began making his way towards them, that intent was quite clear.
Tsukune and Gin slowly got to their feet, before dusting themselves off and getting into battle positions side by side once more. And even though Kuyo would be upon them in a few moments, they still managed to find time to talk...
The young half human was the one to ask, "Think we pissed him off enough yet?"
The werewolf didn't take long to reply, "Not really, I say we really give him something to be mad about."
Both had grins on their faces at that point, "Sounds good to me."
As their opponent spoke once more, the two couldn't help but feel annoyed. "Seeing as you two idiots have a death wish, I'll get to the point..."
Instead of interrupting him like the last few times, the two just tuned him out and spoke to each other, the werewolf going first, starting with a sigh. "He says he's going to get to the point, and then continues to rattle on."
"Is it just me or did he not talk this much last time?"
"It's just you, he's always had a thing for speeches."
"Well I was unconscious for a while..."
"Exactly."
And Kuyo had yet to finish speaking, which annoyed both of his opponents.
Tsukune was the one to speak next, "Look, how about instead of continuing to piss him off, we settle for shutting him up instead?"
Gin nodded his head firmly while agreeing verbally, "That sounds perfect."
"Alright then, let's do it."
The two then dashed forward at top speed, and before their enemy could defend, rammed their right fist, Tsukune, and left fist, Gin, into his gut with all their might, effectively cutting him off, causing him to hunch over a bit, some blood to escape his mouth, and most importantly...it shut him up. The two didn't even pull their fists from their enemy's gut, as they cocked their left and right arms back respectively, before shooting them forward and hitting him in the face with a double haymaker, the force behind the double attack causing their opponent to stumble back several feet. The ghoul and werewolf quickly followed that up, doing so by taking a few quick steps forward, before both jumped just a foot and a half or so in the air, and proceeding to drop kick him simultaneously in the chest, which since the two double kicks held most of their body mass behind them, knocked Kuyo flat to the ground, the stone cracking outwards several feet from the area of impact.
The half human and werewolf then jumped back several feet, so as to let him get to his feet, and more importantly so he couldn't surprise them, and that they could charge him again at any moment of their choice.
Gin was exuding satisfaction with himself and his friend as he said, "I can't believe that actually worked."
Tsukune was smirking, just as his friend was. "There was no doubt it would. While someone on their own might not pose much of a threat, if they teamed up with a different individual they worked well with, their damage rate and chances of succeeding can double, maybe even triple, just as long as they can adapt to the other's movements and learn to attack together, never separately."
"I didn't think you knew much about fighting Tsukune, and yet here you are speaking as if you'd fought dozens of battles."
"It's not a big deal. I've always known that two or more people can accomplish what one alone could not, it's just watching my girls fight showed me that it applied to combat as well."
Gin shook his head at that, while thinking to himself, "This guy really has no idea how to brag. I swear, he must be incapable of taking compliments, I wonder though, is that because he's being humble, or...?"
The werewolf was quickly snapped from his thoughts, as Kuyo was halfway to his feet and Tsukune called out, "Let's go Gin!"
The two then dashed towards their enemy once more, leaping towards him when in range. However Kuyo was fully standing sooner than expected, and caught both of them by the throat in mid air, leaving them somewhat dangling since neither of them had their feet touching the ground. "Did you two really think you could defeat me!? How absurd!"
The fox spirit then steadily began to squeeze harder and harder, making his grip tighter and tighter, slowly cutting off the half human's and the werewolf's oxygen. "You two are nothing! You couldn't stand up to me on your own, and you can't do so together either! This is the way it is, because I am the one who enforces justice and carries out the punishment that you criminals are sentenced!"
That's when another voice cut across, "Are you still spewing that crap!?"
All three sets of eyes went towards who said that, and all of them were surprised to see who said it. It was none other than former security committee member, Deshiko Deshi, dressed in her old uniform, holding her Bo staff against the back of her shoulders like she usually does before a fight.
Kuyo's scowl deepened upon her appearance, "What did you just say?"
Tsukune couldn't help but whisper to himself, "Shiko, what are you doing here?"
Gin looked towards his friend with a bewildered expression, while replying in a harsh whisper, "Shiko? You have a nickname for her? I didn't even think she was still at the academy! She used to be apart the security committee, why the hell and when the hell did you get to know her!?"
The young half human had a sheepish expression on his face at that point, "It's a bit of a long story, I'll tell you about it when this is all done and over with."
That's when the two focused back on Kuyo and Deshiko.
"You heard me you fox bastard! I'm sick of your justice crap! It's just a facade! Nothing but a bunch of bullshit! And you're nothing but a power hungry psycho with a superiority complex!"
Kuyo was not pleased, "How dare you talk to me like that you little bitch! I am your leader, I am an embodiment of absolute justice, I am-"
Deshiko cut him off, yet finished his sentence, her anger flaring as she did, "An asshole, that's what you are! Do you know what I had to go through because of you!? I was treated like the worst kind of scum, I was talked down upon, spit on, even beat because of the things I did while working under you! It didn't matter what I did or said, they wouldn't stop treating me worse than dirt! I tried to atone, I even tried to tell them what you did to me, how you controlled me with that blasted seal you placed on my head, but no one would even take the time to listen, let alone try and believe me! No one...except for one person, he listened to me, he believed me, he showed me forgiveness and compassion, he is the kindest person I know, and is the only person I give a damn about in this entire blasted school! So I won't just stand by as you try and kill him!"
Gin's eyes widened as he looked towards Tsukune once more, it being obvious to everyone he was the one she was talking about.
Kuyo was enraged at those words, "You cannot be serious! This filth is nothing but human scum, even if he is now only half, that doesn't change the fact that he is apart of the scourge of this planet! You hated humans almost more than anyone in the committee, how could you befriend one!? They are evil!"
"NO! You're wrong, your the only one who's evil! Everyone who made my life miserable was a monster, just as it was humans who killed me and made me what I am, a Hopping Corpse. I learned the hard way that it doesn't matter whether it's monsters or humans, everyone can be cruel, ruthless and evil. But thanks to Tsukune...I also learned that either side can be caring, compassionate and just simply a good person. He is the only friend I've ever had, and I'd sooner die than allow you to harm him!"
With that she charged towards her former leader, getting read to strike him with her bo staff, coming directly at him from the front, which she knew was dangerous even with his hands full, not that she cared. She didn't have to worry about that though, as Tsukune and Gin had every intention of helping her, both doing so by grabbing onto the forearm of the hand that held them, Gin digging his claws into the flesh and drawing a bit of blood, and both shooting their legs forward, kicking their opponent in the gut and the chest respectively, with as much force as they could muster, dealing him a total of four kicks. These attacks caused the fox spirit to take a step back and wince in pain, which allowed Deshiko to close in and leap towards him. She slammed one of the ends of her weapon into his face, before flipping over his head, turning towards him in mid air and pulling her bo staff against his throat, sideways of course, so as restrict his airway and cut off his oxygen so as to suffocate him to death.
Deshiko's strength was not on the level of a vampire, or any S-class monster in fact, however it was just enough for this tactic to have a slim chance of working, and Kuyo knew that, so he wasted no time in letting go off his captured opponents, letting them fall to the ground, before grabbing a hold of the staff and beginning to try and pull it away from his throat, and out of his former subordinate's hands. "How dare you!"
Tsukune and Gin were quickly back on their feet, and with Kuyo struggling with Deshiko, they quickly took advantage by releasing a barrage of blows against him, punching and kicking him from head to toe for several long moments, inflicting at least some damage from working together and trying to hit certain spots, and following up one attack with another from the other. But their actions were stopped after Kuyo growled in anger and swiped at them with both hands, forcing both the half human and the werewolf to jump back a few feet, so as to avoid being hit.
Kuyo then brought his right hand up and grabbed a hold of his assailant by her hair, getting a fistful and beginning to pull, and it was quickly evident this would work, as the young lady in question shrieked in pain, as it felt as if he was trying to rip the skin off her scalp along with her hair. "I'll kill you, you little bitch!"
And as she screamed once more in pain, Tsukune tried to move to go help her, but his werewolf friend stopped him. "What are you doing!? We have to help her!"
"I know! But I need you to hang back for a second and leave it to me."
At the questioning look he got from his ghoul friend, Gin merely said, "Just trust me."
And with a nod of his head as Tsukune's confirmation, Gin dashed toward Kuyo, before getting behind him and locking him in a full nelson as he did two years ago, while also digging his claws into the flesh of his shoulders. With Gin doing this, it allowed Deshiko to sit on the werewolf's shoulders instead of forcing her to hang off her staff. Both knew what needed to be done, so called out in unison, "Tsukune, do it now!"
Kuyo thrashed around as best he could, but his arms were being restrained, and his was quickly losing oxygen, he had no way to defend himself unless he managed to get these two off of him, and there was only one way to do that. However before he could set them aflame...
Tsukune instantly understood, so forced five more percent of his monster energy into his veins, putting him at a total of seventy percent. He knew that wouldn't be enough though, so also used an extra ten percent to boost his strength, causing him to visibly bulk up, although not nearly as much as he ever had before. In fact it just looked like he had been hitting the gym for several months. He then pulled another five percent and used it to boost his speed, before rushing at Kuyo and proceeding to ram his right fist into the fix spirit's gut as hard as he possibly could, causing him to wince in pain and almost gasp as well, but he managed to hold it in. The young ghoul wasted no time in pulling his arm back and shooting it forward again, punching his opponent in the gut again, before pulling back and doing so once more, and then again, and again.
After seven punches, he managed to force all of his monster energy out, using seventy of it by injecting it into his bloodstream, ten on his speed, ten on his strength and planned to use the last ten upon impact.
"Take this you bastard!" Tsukune drew his right arm back once more, before shooting it forward and ramming his right fist into and through Kuyo's gut, ripping through flesh and muscle until his fist came out of his lower back, stopping just a centimeter from Gin, blood splashing onto Gin's uniform and Tsukune's uniform alike.
The fox spirit's eyes were wide, and blood was leaking out of his mouth, and as Gin and Deshiko let go of him with their hands and staff respectively, all he did was force a few words, "How could...scum like you...defeat me...?"
With that the blonde monster fell forward, landing on the ground with a thud.
Tsukune, Gin and Deshiko all stood together, breathing somewhat raggedly in unison as they looked down upon Kuyo.
Deshiko was the one to ask, "Is he dead?"
Gin nudged the fox spirit's head with his foot, no response, so he proceeded to kick it, still there was no reaction. "Looks like it."
Tsukune looked back towards where Kazuma once was, and when he couldn't see him there, he began looking frantically, his eyes darting to and fro, until he noticed fire coming from the rooftop of the main building of Yokai academy. Suddenly he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach, and it told him Moka was up there. So without even saying anything to the two standing next to him, he quickly raced towards the rooftop, worry for his lover consuming him.
As the young ghoul took off, Gin tried to reach out to him but wasn't fast enough, "Tsukune wait! Where the hell are you going man!?"
Deshiko was the one to answer that, "I'm pretty sure he's going up there."
Gin looked toward where Deshiko was looking and saw quite a fire raging on the rooftop of the main building of Yokai academy. "This cannot be good..."
Deshiko couldn't help but nod her head in agreement.
Boro was breathing raggedly, he was close to tiring out. He, Twig, Sono and Cyrus had taken out a total of twenty two fairy tale troopers together. Seven for him, seven for Cyrus, five for Sono and three for Twig. They would have taken far more out, however the fairy tale soldiers, being annihilated from the front and the back, these four being the ones taking the bastards out from behind, quickly decided while the enchanted guns were useful, that fighting in their monster forms was much more beneficial to their health. Not that the weapons had been useless, especially considering the fact that casualties kept piling up, even now, some bleeding out from not getting the medical treatment they needed. No it was just much easier to defend themselves in their monster forms is all.
Even though each of the four was feeling fatigue, they pushed on.
Fang Fang and Ling Ling were decimating the seventh division, having killed a total of fifty of them together. Fang Fang had taken out twenty, only killing them because they didn't give him any other choice, and Ling Ling had scratched out thirty, not even feigning to give them a chance to give up. The brother and sister duo were still going strong, Ling Ling not being able to feel any kind of fatigue, didn't, and Fang Fang was only mildly worn out, which was only because he had a broken arm and a bullet hole in his knee. The two could have done better, but Fang Fang insisted on giving every soldier he fought two chances to give up, so that ate up some of their time. Ling Ling did not protest, only because she knew her brother would never kill someone without giving them the chance to surrender, it was simply the way he did things.
Plus there was the fact that she noted the other students and some of the faculty members had flanked the small army of soldiers, hitting them from both the left side and right side, and between those two fronts had taken thirty eight of the all black wearing troopers of fairy tale's seventh division down. So that left only thirty men to go before it was all over...
Mikogami, Shizuka Nekonome, Kagome Ririko and Aspara stood in his office, looking out the window and watching as everything went down. Okuto was in the hall, when he had tried to enter Mikogami denied him, and so as to not anger the school director, he stood out in the hall.
Quite frankly Shizuka and Mikogami were the only two not absolutely amazed by all of Tsukune's actions, that didn't stop the cat woman from fretting over everything as it happened though.
Finally the cat teacher couldn't hold her tongue anymore, "Headmaster, why haven't you gone to help them? You could have ended this the moment it started, meow."
Mikogami didn't respond, thinking to himself, "If you only knew Shizuka..."
However after several seconds of silence the cat woman retracted her question, "I'm sorry sir, I just..."
The Headmaster waved her off as he replied, "It's perfectly fine Shizuka, your worried for the students and the few teachers out there...it's what makes you a good instructor, your caring heart. Believe me, I would like nothing more than to go down there and put a stop to this, however my time has passed, the next generation is nearly ready to take over, they must show they can handle the trials their going to face."
These statements left the cat woman perplexed, yet she brushed it off as she turned to the window once more and continued to watch as the battles down there began drawing to a close.
Tsukune, back down to sixty five percent, leapt upwards, before landing on the roof of the main building of Yokai academy, managing to land in front of the fire that was blazing mere inches behind him. His eyes were drawn to the source of heat from behind him first, a small wall of fire almost as tall as him, what made it peculiar though was the fact that it was white.
"Tsukune..."
When he heard that voice speak his name, the young man turned to look at where it came from so fast he almost got whiplash. And what he saw...
Moka was on one knee, her breathing a little heavy. The entire left sleeve of not only her jacket, but her shirt as well was nowhere to be seen, and then there was her left arm itself, going from her shoulder all the way down to her fingertips was a second degree burn, her arm colored red with several blisters spread across, it was as painful as it looked too. Then there was her right arm, only half of the sleeve of her jacket and shirt were gone, and from her fingertips up to her elbow, her arm was even more severely burned than her left arm, this one being fourth degree. Half her arm was now black, charred with eschar, looking almost exactly how Vladimir had described Kari after she had been burned to death, and the most disturbing thing was that some of the flesh of her hand was no longer there, allowing bone to be visible. Her entire thumb, almost her whole index finger, one third of her middle finger, half of her ring finger, and ninety nine percent of her little finger, those were the parts that no longer had flesh, allowing her finger bones to be seen clear as day. And finally her face, the left half of it burnt up as well, third degree, it being a sickly white color with splotches of red mixed in, as well as a few brown patches.
When the young half human was finished taking in her appearance, his eyes met hers, and she looked away. She would have given almost anything for her lover to not see her like this. She knew he would never judge her, however she couldn't bare the thought of him looking at her and remembering this sight. "Please Tsukune, don't look at me...I don't want you to see me like this..."
Her voice as she said those words, it was full of helplessness and...shame.
Tsukune's was sick to his stomach from seeing one of his beautiful girls hurt so, his blood was boiling, he was nothing short of enraged. "Whoever dared to do this to Moka...I'll rip'em to shreds!"
The young ghoul's holy lock was glowing brightly, as he clenched his fists so tight he began to draw blood. His eyes began to glow red, as they shot to the person who did this, who he immediately knew had to be Kazuma, not only because he was sure Moka reached the guy, but also because he had burned up Vladimir as well. And the young brown haired man was reassured as the fire wing guy spoke, just after they had taken in each other's appearances. "Ah, look who decided to join in the fun. Tsukune Aono, I had a feeling it'd end up like this, it being you and I who end the battle of the seventh division of Fairy Tale and Yokai academy."
The young angry ghoul ignored his enemy's statement and proceeded to ask a question that all three of them knew he very well knew the answer to already, "Are you the one who did this to Moka?"
If Kazuma minded that the young man ignored his statement, he did not show it, simply answering his question instead of trying to get him to respond to his words, "I am."
Tsukune's hair began to bleed into silver, as he clenched his teeth in anger to try and contain himself, squeezing his eyes shut tight for the same reason, also to try and keep his tears in, which managed to escape and roll down his face anyway, as he spoke again, "Why? Why!? What did she ever do to you!? Why would you hurt her this much!? Why would you do any of this!? Do you see what you've done!? Not only have you dared to hurt her, but you've also caused her to become ashamed of herself, for that...I will never forgive you!"
Tsukune didn't even try to keep himself in check at this point, neither did he give in, no he forced the transformation, his anger, his rage, he would be the one calling the shots, not his ghoul side. As his hair continued to turn silver, his monster energy was pulsing erratically, it being slightly visible, a light shade of red in color. Finally, as the last strand of his hair became silver, his eyes shot open, revealing their blood red color and his rage became almost palpable. His holy lock was also glowing brighter than it ever had before, it was under a ridiculous amount of energy pressure, which took it's toll and ended with the second link cracking, destroying the second lock, while Tsukune bellowed, "For what you have done, I will end you!"
With that three more of the links cracked simultaneously, and the sudden surge of energy was quite visible, as Tsukune was consumed in his own monster energy, it being visible and pulsing violently, while also becoming dark red in color. It surrounded him almost like a shroud, even if it didn't take the shape of one, and his power skyrocketed, while the ominous and almost wicked feel to his monster energy returned.
Moka's eyes were on her lover at this point, her eyes wide and a few tears threatening to make their way down her face, "Tsukune..."
Kazuma's eyes were widened to the max, "Ho-how can this be!? His energy signal, it's like my Misteress's! It has the Alucard taint within it! Just what the hell is going on here!?"
In an instant Tsukune closed the distance between him and Kazuma, now being in his face, as he spoke. "This marks your demise!"
The full powered ghoul then proceeded to headbutt his enemy as hard as he possibly could, the middle of his chest was the impact point, so almost every one of his ribs was broken in half upon the blow's connection. The fire winged individual grabbed his chest in agony, taking two steps backward as he bowed his head in pain, gritting his teeth so as to not let his pain be vocalized, which also managed to keep most of the blood in his mouth from coming out, only a bit of it leaking between his teeth and dribbling down his chin. The rage fueled ghoul didn't give his enemy even a moment to recover, bringing his left arm rushing upwards, hitting him with a strong left handed uppercut, causing the tall individual's head to jerk upwards from the force, taking another step back and the pain causing him to ungrit his teeth, allowing a mouthful of blood to come flying out. The half human then brought his right arm back, before shooting it forward and piercing his opponent's abdomen, his fist ripping and tearing through flesh and muscle until it burst out his back, blood splattering on the ground behind him.
The seventh division leader's eyes were wide as he proceeded to cough up another mouthful of blood, before speaking, even with a fist through his abdomen, looking down on his attacker, "But...how can you be...this strong...? You weren't this powerful...when you fought...my Mistress..."
Even though there was a hole in his enemy, Tsukune refused to let up, so he violently tore his arm out of Kazuma, before kicking him in the side with his left leg, "Shut your..."
He then jumped a few feet into the air and began spinning for a moment or two, before delivering a bone breaking right kick to the side of Kazuma's head, shattering the entire right side of his skull on impact, while also knocking him to the ground hard, cracking the floor of the roof almost a foot in every direction from the point of collision with his body, while also cracking the left side of his skull and almost snapping his left arm bone in two from hitting the ground so hard, it also managed to pull a scream of agony from the division leader. "...fucking mouth!"
The enraged young ghoul landed firmly on his feet, before taking a few steps so as to be beside Kazuma, where he kicked him in his side, so as to put him fully on his back. The two made eye contact, and even though the last of his life was fading, the seventh division leader did not seem frightened, only shocked and overwhelmed, as he spoke once more, or tried to at least. He was cut off before he could even get a syllable out, Tsukune the one doing it, him doing so by resting his right foot on the over six foot individual's throat, applying just enough pressure to the area to keep him from talking. "I don't want to hear anything about your goddamn mistress! In fact, I don't want to hear anything you have to say at all! The only thing I'm interested in, is making you pay for what you've done to Moka!"
With that said, the furious ghoul brought his right foot up, before bringing it down, stomping on Kazuma's throat, crushing his trachea instantly and causing blood to begin filling his mouth until it began to overfill and began to seep from it and form a small pool next to his head. The young half human didn't stop there, he brought his right leg up once more, before bringing it down and stomping on the seventh division leader's throat again, "How dare you hurt her!", and again, "She can't even look me in the eye anymore because of what you did to her!", and again, "For that you don't deserve to live, you sunuva bitch!"
After the fourth stomp Tsukune withdrew his leg, satisfied that his enemy was now dead, his throat having been stopped into the dirt, he turned to face Moka, who was about ten feet away from him and began walking towards her. The dark red monster energy still surrounded him, and was still going strong, it almost seemed as if he was ready to continue fighting...
Moka forced herself to her feet, and as Tsukune drew closer, she prepared herself for a fight, even though her left arm was in constant pain, half her face was in agony, and she could barely even feel the lower half of her right arm. Most people can't feel any kind of pain after receiving a third degree burn, and after receiving a fourth degree burn they can't move that part of their body ever again, which would need to be amputated, however vampires were much more resistant to any kind of injury, so not only can they feel the pain of a severe third degree burn, they can also move a limb that has been scorched to the extent Moka's right arm was. So she could fight, but it would be quite painful to do so.
As she tried to assume a battle position, her lover spoke, "Calm down Moka, it's okay, it's me, I'm in control."
Those words caused Moka to come to a standstill and let down her guard, which was all the ghoul needed to close the distance. They were mere inches apart as Tsukune reached out to her, she tried to look away, however he used his left hand to turn her face towards him once more, before proceeding to caress the left side of her face, the burnt side, with his right hand. "He was stronger than me, faster too, he got the better of me, and...did this. Thank you for helping me, but I almost wish you hadn't, so you didn't have to see me like this, disfigured, ugly..."
Tsukune felt his heart ache at those words, Moka was the toughest person he knew, but he knew from experience that she had a soft side as well, and that she, like everyone else, had insecurities, and having your lover see you all burned up, well it had a way of making you fear the way they would look at you, especially if you didn't have a healing factor like vampires did.
As a tear escaped her left eye, Tsukune wiped it away with his thumb as he spoke, "Moka, I'll always love you, no matter what you look like. That aside, you're still beautiful, even now..."
With what needed to be said having been said, the young man leaned in and kissed his lover passionately, showing her that what he said was true, that he would always love her and that she was still beautiful, and that she would always be in his eyes.
Moka felt all warm inside as Tsukune kissed her, he always managed to do these kinds of things to her. Even though she didn't give a damn about her looks, whenever he looked at her she would always wonder if he found her pretty, and she hated being self conscious. At the same time whenever they made love, hell even when they kissed he made her feel like she was the most beautiful girl in the world. When she was in a sour mood, as soon as she saw him her day got better, when she was depressed just a few words from him had her smiling. There was no way to deny it, she was deeply and madly in love in love with Tsukune Aono, and nothing would ever, ever change that.
Tsukune's dark red monster energy began to leave him, slowly seeping into Moka, and it began to heal her. In mere moments her face was the vision of perfection once more, and as the two pulled back from their kiss, Moka was completely healed. The young ghoul's eyes were still blood red, his hair was still silver, however his power had fallen to it's previous level, it now matching Moka's, and his monster energy was light red instead of dark red, plus it was no longer visible. And he was still firmly in control, even though he was at his original hundred percent power.
Moka had a soft, warm smile on her face as she reached up and returned his caress, while saying, "I love you so much..."
The young man returned her smile as he brushed her hair back behind her ear, "I love you too, Moka. And...I'm sorry I wasn't here to protect you..."
The young silver haired female shook her head, "Don't be silly, you did protect me."
Tsukune was somewhat taken back by her words, but before he could even form a reply to her kind words...
"I'm afraid that's where you're wrong."
Both Tsukune's and Moka's eyes widened as they both looked towards where Kazuma's body had been, to see him standing up right, looking like he hadn't just had his throat stomped all to hell, and hadn't had the entire right side of his skull shattered, in fact he looked just as well as he did when Tsukune got up here, hell he looked better! At least then he had a few bruises and scrapes from fighting Moka, but now...he looked as if he hadn't even been in a battle at all!
Kazuma dusted himself off as he continued to speak, "You see he hasn't protected you from anything, because I'm still here and I can very much still cause you harm."
After those words Kazuma's monster energy began to rise once more, pulsing as it did. The fire from his wings spread to his body, slowly consuming him in flame once again. In mere moments the flames became uncontrollable, lashing to the right and left, licking the ground and leaving it with scorch marks. After several seconds of this, the flames began to change color again. Soon enough the fire that consumed him burned dark blue, but instead of receding, it instead began forming several new shapes behind him, and then there was a flash of light and blue fire as he finished transforming.
The fire had receded from his body once more, but now instead of just fire wings, now dark blue in color, he had exactly five wisp like tails coming from his tailbone, they were also made of pure flame, and they were also a dark blue in color. Tsukune thought they looked exactly like the ones he saw on the phoenix Fang Fang summoned. His wingspan was now another foot longer, it now sitting at a total of ten feet and his hair was now completely red, no black to speak of, and finally there was his large leap in power. "This is the fourth and final stage of my monster form. I have to warn you, this will only be the third time I've ever used it, so I can't guarantee your safety Moka. I made sure to damage you, but I kept myself from hitting you with anything that could kill you, so I would suggest you run, otherwise you might end up dead."
Moka wasn't intimidated in the slightest, she wasn't afraid of Kazuma, he merely eluded her understanding...until now that is. "I'll pass."
Kazuma then looked towards Tsukune, examining him for a moment, before speaking once more, "It looks as though your newfound power has faded, that's too bad, cause even in this form you still would have been able to overpower me. Though I suppose that doesn't matter, considering I can't die."
The young ghoul's eyes widened at that, causing the seventh division leader to smirk in satisfaction. "Although I'm sure you already knew that, didn't you Moka? I am-"
Moka cut him off, explaining it to Tsukune before he could, "He's a Phoenix Spirit, an extremely rare S-class monster. They have complete mastery over fire and are able to rise from their own ashes, he can't die because he'll just revive shortly after. Aside from that their race was quite powerful overall, as even the weakest of them was able to defeat many S-class monsters in one on one combat. Their species was also once worshiped as deities by monsters and humans alike, by monsters because of their great power and faux immortality, and by humans because they believed they were the lords of the sun, rather than it's servants like they thought an actual Phoenix was. However that changed when they all but disappeared, no one really knew what happened to them, but I have hunch. They were so sure of themselves, they thought they were invincible, immortal, so they challenged the great monster king of legend and his three subordinates, the original dark lords, sure that they could defeat them and take their place, making Phoenix Spirits the dominant race of monsters. But they failed, miserably, most of their kind was wiped out and the few remaining survivors went into hiding, stop me if I'm wrong."
Kazuma couldn't help but think to himself, "She certainly got her confidence back after her lover showed up."
The seventh division leader shook his head as he replied, "No, you're not wrong. In fact you're quite right, though I can't help but wonder how you came up with this theory of yours."
"My Father failed to realize that when I was younger, I had a habit of listening in on any conversation he had that I was there to hear. The things he said didn't make sense to me, until last year when we started digging into monster history, and that's when everything he said fell into place. The missing dates in our textbooks, the lack of information on how the monster world was ruled back then, and the mysterious rebellion that supposedly took place but no one knows anything about, everything lent itself to this theory. The only thing I've yet to figure out is what happened to the king and the three original dark lords, but that's a mystery for another time."
Kazuma began to slowly clap, a somewhat forced smirk on his face, and an almost mocking tone to his voice, or at least it seemed that way to Tsukune and Moka, as he said, "Very good Moka, to think someone as young as you was able to figure that out, it's quite remarkable. Not even your instructors know even a tidbit of the knowledge you just dropped on your lover here."
Moka glared at the phoenix spirit as she spoke, "Are you going to mock us all day? If not then I suggest you shut your trap and prepare yourself for a fight, cause we're far from done with you. Let's do this Tsukune."
With that said, Tsukune and Moka both got into battle positions, "Right!"
The young vampire and the ghoul that she created then charged toward their enemy at full speed.
This caused the seventh division leader to chuckle, "I suppose the two of you together might have a chance of defeating me, but it's slim at best. Nevertheless, show me what you got."
Tsukune and Moka had closed the distance by then, and the former was the one to attack first, going for a strong right jab to the gut, going low as he did to avoid a right handed swipe by Kazuma, but the phoenix spirit caught his enemy's fist with his left hand, before locking it in a grip that would keep it there. Moka was only a second behind, stepping onto her lover's back with her left foot, getting ready to go for a right kick, but her enemy was bringing his right arm back, so she instead batted it upwards with the right kick she had been planning, going with the momentum of the kick she did a small backflip, landing on her ghoul's back with her left foot as gently as she could. Then in almost perfect unison, Tsukune rammed his left fist into Kazuma's gut, while Moka hit him with a strong right kick to the face, causing the fiery winged and tailed individual to wince in pain and loosen his grip unintentionally, which the silver haired male took advantage of and yanked his fist from his opponent's grasp. At the same time Moka put her right foot down on her lover's back, before performing a left spin kick and ramming her left foot into her enemy's throat, because of being hit in such a undefended and rather weak part of the body the phoenix spirit grabbed it in pain with his left hand, and as he continued to wince the silver haired female quickly pulled back and got off her boyfriend's back, placing both of her feet on the ground once more.
The two lovers didn't give their enemy any time to recuperate, both launching an attack, Tsukune a right straight with all his might, and Moka a right spin kick with all her strength, which both hit their opponent in the abdomen simultaneously, their combined power causing the fiery winged individual to hunch over somewhat and spit up some blood. As the two pulled back their limbs, they made eye contact with each other, and both gave a nod of the head, they understood what the other was about to do. So they both jumped back a few feet, however Moka jumped back twice more, until she was mere inches from the fire Tsukune had landed in front of, and her silver haired boyfriend did not follow.
Kazuma was almost done recovering from their attack, even though it was strong enough to kill several already dead fairy tale members instantaneously. But just as he was standing upright once more, Tsukune rushed him, getting in close and tackling him, but failing to knock him to the ground. Nevertheless the young ghoul stayed bent over with his arms wrapped around his opponents waist, intent on keeping him there. Not that he didn't plan to try and cause damage, which he did, doing so by alternating between his left arm and right arm, punching the phoenix spirit in the sides. However it did little, causing him only minuscule amounts of pain, but the constant attacks became quite annoying to the seventh division leader real fast, "Just what do you think you're doing? How is this supposed to help you defeat me? Your doing little more than annoy me, you pest."
The fiery winged individual then brought his right arm up, before bringing it down hard, slamming his elbow into his male opponent's back, causing him to yelp in pain, he did not let go though, and he continued to punch him in the sides. This did not anger the seventh division leader, but it did annoy him to great lengths, so he began to pound on his ghoul opponent's back, missing the fact that Moka was now rushing towards him at past her top speed.
The young silver haired girl was forcing herself to run faster, so as to build up momentum, while also charging her monster energy and sending it all to a single point in her body, so that the next attack she used would kill upon impact. She closed the distance between herself, her boyfriend and their enemy, before stepping onto her ghoul's back in mid run, proceeding to jump off it about a foot or two into the air, and then turning her body to where she was almost completely upside down. From there she then shot her right leg forward with all her might, slamming it into the left side of Kazuma's neck, releasing all her monster energy at the moment of contact, ramping up the power of the kick to eleven and breaking his neck instantly, while also knocking him down to the ground with great force, causing the ground of the rooftop to crack several inches in all directions from the point of impact.
Tsukune stumbled back a few steps as Moka landed next to him, they both only took a moments reprieve, since even though they had killed him for the second time it would only be a few moments before their enemy got back up. They didn't know how right they were, before they could get to a safe distance Kazuma was consumed in blue flame, and as he stood up it pulsed outward. As it did Tsukune took Moka by surprise by wrapping her in an embrace, so as to protect her from the flames with his body, however he couldn't protect her from the impact as they were both knocked several feet away from the phoenix spirit. As the fire receded and they hit the ground, Moka pushed her flaming lover off of her, before hurriedly taking off what was left of her jacket and using it to beat the flames he was covered in into submission.
After successfully putting the fire out, Moka took in her boyfriends appearance, so as to make sure he was okay. The shreds of his jacket, shirt and tie had been burned to ashes, leaving him half naked, and his upper body had scorch marks on it, as well as a few first degree burns, but thankfully he was fine. His eyes were closed, so for a moment she was worried, but only a second after she was done checking over his body he opened them, having been keeping them closed so they wouldn't be damaged by the flames. So she tossed her jacket to the side, since it had also been damaged from the flames, but only because she had used it to put them out, before helping her ghoul to his feet.
They didn't get to even say a single word to each other though, as Kazuma spoke before they could, and quite loudly, the tone he used portraying his anger and annoyance, "I've grown weary of these games! It's time to put an end to this!"
The fire that had consumed him was gone, his injuries healed once more. As he finished his proclamation, he began to flap his wings and ascend, slowly at first, then rapidly, not stopping until he was good twenty feet in the air. He then pulled both his arms back, both of his hands being rapidly being consumed by flame as he did, before shooting them forward, lobbing two balls of spinning fire at his enemies, which grew larger and larger as they closed in on their targets, "Double fire sphere!"
As the rapidly enlarging spinning balls of blue fire came soaring down towards them, Tsukune looked ready to run for cover, but before he could Moka stopped him. "Tsukune, can you manipulate your monster energy at will?"
The ghoul had a perplexed look on his face, but he answered nevertheless, "Uh, yeah, somewhat."
"Good. Then when I tell you, I want you to forcibly pulse your energy outward, all of it, don't hold back. If you do so at just the right time, then it will absolve the fire, rendering us unharmed. Trust me, it'll work."
The young man trusted his girls more than anyone else, so he nodded his head, "Right, I'll do my best."
The two spinning blue balls of fire were only moments away from reaching their targets, so Moka prepared to do what she had told her boyfriend to do, "Alright Tsukune, get ready...do it now!"
Tsukune and Moka then simultaneously pulsed their monster energy just as the balls of blue flame hit them, causing them to disintegrate completely, preventing the two from being harmed. Once the danger had passed Tsukune took a moment to look around, where he saw that they had indeed erased the flames from existence. Before he could comment on that though, Kazuma called down once more, "Don't get too excited, those were the easy ones! Now why don't you try this one on for size!?"
Kazuma was quickly consumed by blue flames, which were quickly raging out of control as they continued to burn, before finally the phoenix spirit threw his arms forward and downward, aiming towards his two opponents. As he did the fire that covered his body shot forward, leaving him just as he was a few moments ago, and began racing down towards it's targets, quickly taking on the form of a giant blue phoenix. "Phoenix cannon!"
Seeing this giant form of blue fire, Tsukune and Moka quickly began racing to the end of the rooftop, so as to avoid the massive fire creature. They managed to get to the end of the rooftop, so when the blue phoenix hit the ground and exploded outwards, they hit the deck and managed to avoid taking any damage, just barely though. Once the fire had faded, the rooftop was left covered in scorch marks, but no serious damage was inflicted, besides those cracks caused earlier and certain sections of the railing were now missing as well, having been blown away from the shockwave of the impact.
As the two silver haired lovers got to their feet Kazuma yelled at them once more, "Managed to survive did ya!? No matter, I'm just getting started!"
With that Kazuma ascended another ten feet, as blue fire covered himonce more, this time burning so hot that it was actually causing superficial damage to his skin, while also continuing to grow outwards, until it took the form of a massive phoenix. From there it proceeded to disform and wrap around itself several times, then closed in on itself until it took the shape of a person sized blue ball of flame, just barely concealing it's caster, the phoenix spirit, from being seen. And as this all happened, Kazuma was talking, albeit quite loudly, "Lets see how you handle this one, my strongest technique, Nova Storm!"
The blue sphere of fire then proceeded to expand outwards at breakneck speed, before exploding, nearly blinding the vampire and ghoul below. However because they blocked their eyes with one of their arms at the last second, they were able to recover in only a moment or two. And once they did their eyes widened to the fullest extent, this happened because there were literally a hundred balls of blue fire the size of a person now racing down towards them, some higher up than others, some moving faster than others, it was an attack that was used against an army, or when the user wanted a massacre. The thing that made it even more dangerous...the fact that it was concentrated, which Moka could tell it was, from looking at the balls of fire she was able to tell that almost ninety percent of them would hit the rooftop, maybe more. And as the first fireball was about to hit, Tsukune became aware that the situation was dire, however he didn't know how dire, until Moka spoke that is, "Tsukune, whatever you do, do not stop moving!"
The two silver haired lovers then broke into a sprint, barley managing to avoid the first fireball as it hit the rooftop, the shock from it's impact almost knocking them over. They were then forced to jump several feet back so as to avoid the second, and then they had to roll to the side, barely managing to avoid the third. From there the two ran, jumped, dodged, leaped, rolled and anything else they had to so as to avoid the blue balls of flaming death raining down upon them.
This lasted for who knows how long, before Moka realized a hundred had come and gone, and they were still raining down. A quick glance upward revealed to her that this was actually a continuous attack, and that Kazuma was still consumed in flame and that fireballs kept blasting from him, racing downward towards them afterwards. So if they wanted to survive this, they would have to put a stop to this themselves, because he looked like he was going to continue until he passed out, and quite frankly she didn't want to take a chance on how long that would be from now. So as she ran besides him, she hurriedly explained her plan to her boyfriend.
As soon as they were ready to execute it, Moka sprinted to one end of the rooftop, while Tsukune went to the other. From there the two raced towards each other, where they would meet in the middle, narrowly avoiding balls of fire as they did this. They reached each other in a matter of moments, and when they did Tsukune jumped up just a few feet, landing on Moka's leg, which she outstretched for him to do so, before she kicked with all her might, flinging her lover upwards, rocketing him towards their enemy. However her part didn't end there, so as to distract their enemy, and allow her ghoul to close the distance, she quickly unleashed two lightning fast kicks, coating them with monster energy as she did, so as to make two waves of her energy, which were now soaring upwards towards the phoenix spirit known as Kazuma.
Tsukune raced through the air, upwards toward his target at great velocity, supercharging his right fist with his monster energy, so as to release it upon contact. The phoenix spirit saw his male adversary rocketing upwards towards him, and as he did he spoke to him, "Just what do you think you're doing!? Do you think you can really defeat me!? You can't kill me, so you can't win! You already tried, remember!? Twice in fact! It won't work!"
The seventh division leader's eyes were on his male opponent, so by the time he noticed the waves of monster energy it was almost too late. He moved his head to the side so as to avoid the first one, which since it had been fired quick was somewhat off target, only a small part of it actually in the realm of possibility to hit him. The second one was right behind the first, and this one was right on target, so Kazuma was forced to move out of the way, narrowly avoiding it, in fact it had been so close to getting him it actually cut a few strands of his hair off as it past him. He was then able to get back into position and focus on the imminent threat that his male enemy was, but by that time it was too late.
The silver haired ghoul closed the thirty foot height distance in only a few moments, and just as he was to reach his enemy, he pulled his right arm back, readying it for a strong straight, as he replied to his fiery winged enemy, "Even if it is impossible, even if it won't work, I've gotta try! For my friends, for my family, for my girls, I have to TRY!"
With that Tsukune threw his right arm forward with everything he had, ramming his right fist into and all the way through Kazuma's chest, ripping through the flames, his flesh, muscle and bone until it burst from his upper back, covered in blood and burned up. This was a killing blow for sure, however with his enemy being a phoenix spirit, the young ghoul could only hope he would stay down after this. The seventh division leader was already dead by the time the young silver haired man proceeded to remove his arm from the hole in his enemy's chest. So the fire covering him receded and his attack resolved, so there would be no more blue fireballs raining down on anyone. That let the young man focus on his landing, which he managed to do quite well, landing firmly on both his feet, while at the same time his opponent landed on the ground with a loud echoing thump, courtesy of his limp body and the thirty foot fall.
The young silver haired ghoul was breathing somewhat raggedly as he looked down at his right arm, half of which was burned, thankfully only to the second degree, his skin being a deep red, but no visible blisters. He then approached his lover, forgetting about the burn, while managing to speak in between his air intake, "You think that did it?"
Moka had a small smile on her face, it being there because of how proud of her lover she was. "I doubt it, but we can hope."
"Don't waste your time on hope, cause I'm still here."
Both silver haired individuals eyes widened just a fraction, while they looked towards the now standing and completely unharmed Kazuma, who seemed to have calmed down from his somewhat delirious state. "I'm sorry that you had to be subjected to that Moka, but as I said before, I'm not very experienced with this form and I suppose the power and the repeated attempts on my life got to me. I swear on my Mistress that it won't happen again."
His smile from when he first began fighting Moka was back, he was being sincere, even if it was in a somewhat twisted way. "Honestly though, how could you possibly believe that you could kill me? As long as there's even a trace of me left, whether it be a strand of hair, a flake of skin, or even just a sliver of my monster energy, I will be reborn into this world. Although I suppose that's more regeneration than anything else, isn't it?"
Those words caused Tsukune to remember what Vladimir said to him after his fight with Fang Fang, 'Listen Tsukune, if you're ever in a fight with another phoenix, remember this, to kill a phoenix, you must destroy everything it is, anything less and they'll just rise from their ashes over and over again until they are able to kill you instead of the other way around.'
That advice combined with what Moka had said previously about pulsing monster energy and causing things to disintegrate, allowed Tsukune to form a theory, one that if was right would allow him to finally kill Kazuma once and for all.
Kazuma's smile shrunk just a bit as he spoke once more, "Now then, let's end this."
Vladimir's vision was blurry for a few moments when he first opened his eyes, his hearing however was mostly okay, so he was able to catch the end of an argument someone was having with a few other people in the room he was in, and yet he wasn't actually sure of what they were saying. Nevertheless he sat up, which was when he realized, his vision clearing, that he was in the infirmary of Yokai academy, and that Kokoa, Ruby and Mizore were in the room with him, as were many other injured monsters and an overworked nurse who was tending to their injuries. He knew why he was here, he had been burned up by Kazuma, the leader of the seventh division of fairy tale, he also knew that, judging by how most of his upper body was tender but not in pain, that his healing ability had him almost back to tip top shape.
The three girls of Tsukune's harem noticed that their counselor was awake, but before they could say anything to him, the building began to shake like crazy, as if it was being bombed from up top. And when it passed, all three of them shot the nurse a glare, before Kokoa proceeded to speak on their behalf, "Still think we shouldn't go out there and help?"
The sarcasm was thick, as was the annoyance and anger, so the woman she was speaking to threw her hands up as she proclaimed, "Fine! Do whatever you want, I don't care! I have students who need urgent care, I can't waste my time arguing with you three!"
Kokoa was quick to rebuttal, "Good!"
The three then turned to Vladimir, before Kokoa spoke once more, "Tsukune and my sister are up on the roof, fighting, and considering how long they've been at it, they must be having trouble. So we've gotta go and give them a hand, so get your ass moving!"
Vladimir wasn't about to argue, he wanted to help, and even if he didn't, he did not want to deal with Kokoa if he refused, so he got up off the bed he had been placed in and hastily exited the infirmary with the three girls. From there they got to the staircase and began rushing up to the roof, climbing the stairs as fast as they could, and considering Ruby had healed herself with her magic and Vladimir was mostly okay, they were able to climb them pretty fast.
Kyouko had stayed behind in the infirmary, helping the nurse tend to the injured.
Kurumu and Yukari had noticed when giant balls of fire began raining down upon the main building of Yokai academy, so they immediately knew one of their own was up there, because they all just seemed to attract trouble as if they were magnets for it. So Kurumu took to the air, bringing Yukari with her, so they could get there as fast as possible.
Gin and Deshiko had been running towards the main building of Yokai academy since Tsukune took off, however they had to make their way through a horde of students to do so, on top of that they had to avoid getting shot at by a few fairy tale troopers. That stopped after a bit, but then they had a run in with a particularly nasty fairy tale soldier, who had transformed into a griffon, they had to take him down, which would have been easier if they weren't crowded by the other students. Basically it was one thing after another slowing them down, and then when fireballs began to rain down, they had to dodge a stray once or twice. But finally they had made it to the building, so Gin hoisted Deshiko onto his shoulders, before using his strong legs to kick off the ground and leap towards the top.
The battle had finally drawn to a close, the stone ground was soaked in blood, there were bodies everywhere, but it was finally over, and Yokai academy had emerged the victor. There were many casualties, but by banding together the students of Yokai were able to defeat the hundred fourty man army, they were able to wipe out the entire seventh division of fairy tale.
Boro Senju, Twig Senju, Sono Komaru and Cyrus Katsuyu stood in their human forms in the middle of the battlefield that was Yokai academy, completely exhausted and ready to collapse, not to mention they each had injuries that needed to be cared for, and yet they managed to stay on their feet. The leader of the four, Boro, spoke to the rest of the student body, and the few instructors that were out there, "It was a long and bloody battle, but we have won!"
The student body erupted into cheers at that, but were quickly cut off by someone else, "Not yet we haven't!"
All eyes went to who said that, said individual being Ling Ling Huang, her brother Fang Fang beside her as they walked toward Boro and his group. "What do you mean? All the soldiers are dead, the army has been vanquished, there's no one left."
Ling Ling shook her head, "Wrong, there's still the leader of the seventh division, and he's much, much stronger than anyone one of us fought. As long as he's alive, then we've yet to win."
Boro was the one to reply, "Then where is he?"
Fang Fang looked towards the rooftop of the main building of Yokai academy, which was still on fire, this time burning blue instead of white like earlier, "Up there. As long as he's alive this battle is far from over. Tsukune is locked in combat with him now, even as we speak, and he's the only one with the strength to end this..."
Tsukune and Moka both stood side by side in battle positions, both breathing somewhat raggedly, Kazuma across from them, covered in bruises and bleeding from his forehead, since it had been busted open, and both corners of his mouth, he also had several bone fractures and a broken rib or two. They had just finished a small skirmish, and both silver haired lovers were starting to feel fatigued, which was why they have been doing their best to beat on their opponent, because unlike them, he couldn't heal his injuries unless he was killed, which brought him back to a hundred percent. But if they only damaged him, and kept themselves from landing any lethal blows, then he would weaken, slow down and become fatigued like they were. In fact he was only at sixty percent at this point, having taken so much damage. However he didn't seemed worried in the slightest, then again considering he couldn't die he had a reason to not be worried. Little did he know that Tsukune had already formulated a plan, and amidst their last clash had relayed it to Moka, so that they could execute it when the time was right.
Before the three could engage in another skirmish, voices attracted their attention to the right, where they saw Kurumu flying over the fire, carrying Yukari with her, the voices being both those girls calling out, "Tsukune!"
The succubus landed, letting go of her witch friend as she did, as they both called out, "It's okay now, we're here to help!"
Before they could come over though, another voice cut through, "Tsukune!"
Everyone watched as Gin ascended over the fire, before coming down rapidly and landing hard on his feet, just inches in front of the fire, which left Deshiko, who was on his shoulders almost centimeters from it, but neither seemed to be bothered by that. "Dude you shouldn't run off without telling us where you're going, we would have came with you, you know to help you out!? Like we just did with Kuyo!? We can still fight ya know!"
Deshiko climbed off of the werewolf's shoulders, opting to stand beside him.
Before someone could reply to them, everyone's eyes were drawn to the left, where the rubble of the rooftop doorway was, which most of it was sent flying in several different directions as Kokoa, Mizore, Ruby and Vladimir burst through it, courtesy of Kokoa's upwards kick. As the young red headed vampire put her leg down, she spoke up, "Whoever thought that would stop me is an idiot!"
Then without another word, Kokoa's group, Gin, Deshiko, Kurumu and Yukari all hurried over to Tsukune and Moka. However they all stopped the minute they noticed the state Tsukune was in, but their fears were put to rest when he spoke, "What's wrong you guys? Why are you all staring at me? Is...is there something on my face?"
That got most of them chuckling, so they shook it off and all moved in, where they proceeded to tell each other about their battles, and what they were doing all this time, while also assuring most of everyone Deshiko was on their side.
Kazuma merely watched, bemused, as the ten individuals talked to each other as if they hadn't seen one and other for a week, when they had only been apart for an hour at most, and that was pushing it. Nevertheless the phoenix spirit chose not to bother them, even though if he tried he'd be able to take most of them out in a single attack, or that's what he thought at least. But that was before he noticed that Tsukune, Moka and Vladimir all had one eye on him each, they were dividing their attention among their group and him, which caused the seventh division leader to chuckle a bit, "Their smart, I'll give them that. Even now, when those closest to them are here, they won't even allow me out of their sight for even a moment, knowing I could kill most of them with a single move. Doesn't matter though, besides Moka...everyone will die."
With that thought in mind, Kazuma finally decided to break it up. "I do believe I've allowed you all enough time to catch up, it's time we get back to business, and end this battle, once and for all."
Tsukune and his friends turned towards the phoenix spirit after he spoke, before he and Moka replied in unison, "Agreed."
Kazuma's smirk widened just a bit at that, "So glad that you agree. Now then, let me show you exactly why my Mistress puts so much of her trust in me, let me show you my pow-"
The phoenix spirit was cut off as what looked exactly like the fire spear Tsukune was once hit with, except it was bluish white, pierced his chest, entering from the back and exiting out the front, his heart being hit in the process. His eyes were widened to the max as he slowly looked down, so as to see the attack exiting from the left side of his chest, before looking back up at Tsukune and his friends, a hint of actual fear on his face, before his entire body was consumed in the bluish white flames, burning him up from the inside and outside. His body became limp and he fell forward, however he couldn't do more than let his head and arms dangle, becoming dead on his feet, as it turned out the fire spear was actually a beam, which was holding him up, keeping him from falling to the ground. And this beam was connected to the caster, extending from it's target's body all the way back to the tallest part of Yokai academy, the same part of the main building that Moka had kicked Kuyo into two years ago, and there, standing on top of it was none other than Kuyo himself, a hole in his stomach, and the beam of fire coming from his extended index and middle finger from his right hand, and he had the largest smug smile plastered onto his face anyone had ever seen.
Everyone was so shocked they didn't move, they just watched, eyes wide, as the man their two strongest fighters struggled so desperately with was killed by Kuyo of all people, and while that alone was shocking, what happened next was downright implausible. The fire that consumed the phoenix spirit was raging out of control as Kuyo jumped down from the building and landed on the rooftop just a few feet away from his prey, and as he closed those few short feet of distance he finally spoke, "Would you look at that, the great and powerful Kazuma, the leader of the seventh division of fairy tale, killed by someone he deemed not even worth to kiss his mistress's boots. Your were so high and mighty then, but look at you now, dead and humiliated. And I'm afraid that this time, you won't be coming back from the afterlife my friend, because all that power of yours that you're so proud of, is now mine."
Kuyo had closed the distance between him and the dead on his feet Kazuma just as he finished speaking, and from there he opened his right hand into a palm, while keeping the beam connected, but now to his exposed palm, before pushing it into the fiery blaze that was currently the phoenix spirit. And from there the flames began to traverse his arm, beginning to spiral around as they made their way higher and higher, until they reached his shoulder, where they ended. As this continued the flames began to seep into the fox spirit, as more and more of them spiraled up his right arm, and if that wasn't enough of a clue that he was absorbing the phoenix spirit's power, the fact that after a few moments he sprouted a fifth tail and the fire that each one of them was made up of made the transition from bluish white to light blue was enough to let everyone know what he was doing.
As the fox spirit continued to absorb the seventh division leader's power and grew stronger and stronger, he began to laugh sinisterly and maniacally, doing so so loudly that almost the whole campus could hear him.
Soon enough a sixth tail sprouted, and all of them burned hotter, now the same dark blue as Kazuma's fire was. And then a seventh, the color of fire becoming a mixture of azure and violet, the flames beginning to lick the ground as they burned so wildly. As the eighth tail began to grow, Vladimir warned the others, "This is bad! He's getting close to the ninth tail! For a fox spirit the ninth tail is the absolute pinnacle of their power, which is said to be so great that even the greatest of vampires pale in comparison! There hasn't been one in centuries, the last one disappeared during the rebellion of long ago! We have to stop him, now!"
With those words everyone kicked into high gear, quickly rushing the long blonde haired bastard. As they all raced towards him, Kuyo broke his laughter to speak, "Stop me!? That is a ridiculous notion! With this power, no one will be able to stop me! But please, feel free to try!"
As Kuyo began to laugh once more, the ten individuals closed the distance, but just as they were able to reach out and touch him, he finished absorbing Kazuma, wiping him from existence, and fast tracking his transformation, causing a fiery explosion to emanate from Kuyo and covered the entire rooftop, engulfing Tsukune and his entire group.
Kazuma, the seventh division leader of the organization known as Fairy Tale, was no more. And in his existence ceasing, it gave birth to a terrifying power that hasn't been seen in centuries.
Vladimir's ears were ringing, his head was pounding, and as he opened his eyes he realized he was seeing double, nevertheless he was able to figure out there was something wrong with the sky. It was blood red...but it was the middle of the day..., "That bastard's not holding even an ounce of his power back. That's the only plausible explanation to the sky's change. This is the seventh person I've seen capable of bringing about such a change in the world with their monster energy alone."
Filing that thought away, Vladimir began getting to his feet. Halfway up Deshiko entered his line of sight, before offering her hand to him, which he took and allowed her to help him to his feet. "Are you okay Counselor?"
The old vampire put his hand to his head, as his eyesight returned to normal and he said, "I'm fine."
"That's good."
The shadeless shades wearing vampire turned around at that to see not only Fang Fang and Ling Ling, but almost the entire student body, as well as a few members of the faculty. Ling Ling had been the one to speak, Fang Fang beside her, and Boro, Twig, Sono and Cyrus behind them. That's when the bald vampire realized he and Deshiko had been blasted off the rooftop, so knowing that he looked up to it, and what he saw filled him with dread. The edges of the rooftop, every inch where the railing once was, was now a body of fire almost fifteen feet tall, and the most concerning thing about the flames was their color...they were black. His eyes widened to the max, Vladimir spoke, "This is bad, very bad."
Fang Fang, worry evident in his tone, was the one to ask, "What's wrong?"
Without looking back at who asked him that question, the vampire counselor answered, "Tsukune, Moka, Kokoa, Mizore, Kurumu, Yukari, Ruby and Gin are all still up there. Because of that wall of flames they're trapped up there with an enemy who's so powerful that even the school director would be pressed to defeat him!"
Boro was the one to speak next, "Then why don't we simply put out the fire and go help them?"
Vladimir shook his head at that question, "You don't understand, those aren't any ordinary flames. They're-"
"Those are the black flames of legend, which don't stop burning until their caster dies...or they burn whatever their unleashed upon to ashes. Nothing in this world, aside from perhaps Issa Shuzen's and Aqua Shuzen's monster energy respectively, could overcome and extinguish them."
All eyes were then on none other than Mikogami, the school director himself, as he escorted Shizuka over to Vladimir, where she proceeded to verbally tear into him about how it wasn't kind to disappear like that and how it worried her that one of her colleagues had been captured and or hurt. And as she did that all attention was on her, while Mikogami continued to speak, but only to himself, "Yes, young Tsukune Aono has gotten himself into quite a predicament. The enemy he now faces is beyond strong, his opponent has so much might that including myself, there are only seven people in this world who can bring him down. And this is exactly the kind of enemy young Tsukune needs to face, one that will make him...or break him. He needs this battle, so that he can finally start becoming the savior this world so desperately needs him to become."
Tsukune's vision was blurry as he opened his eyes, not to mention his ears were ringing, his head was pounding and he felt like every part of his body had been hit by a sledgehammer, repeatedly. Even with all this he quickly realized he was lying on his back, and wondering where he was and where his girls were his eyes began to move about. As he did this he found out that he was still on the rooftop of the main building of Yokai academy.
He could immediately tell Gin was a few feet from him, so the young ghoul glanced at him to make sure he was okay, before his eyes sought ought his girls.
His eyes found Moka first, the tough seventeen year old vampire already halfway to her feet, looking annoyed, somewhat angry and quite cautious, but relatively unharmed.
Yukari was found second, the genius little thirteen year old looking unconscious for a moment, before her eyes opened up, and she grabbed her head as she sat up, her head obviously killing her.
Kurumu was found third, the busty succubus was still on her back, blinking repeatedly and rapidly, probably trying to clear her fuzzy vision.
Ruby was the fourth to be found, the nineteen year old witch already sitting up, looking around at everyone else, before she began to get to her feet.
Mizore was fifth to be found, and what he saw her doing worried him greatly. The icy stalker was on the ground, clutching her left breast, and the part of her left side beside it, breathing raggedly and continuously cringing in pain. He couldn't help but wonder, was it a broken rib, or...was something wrong with her heart? However the pain seemed to fade after a few moments, as she let go and began breathing a little easier, so, reluctantly, he moved his line of sight on.
Kokoa was the last of his girls to be found by his eyes, the ever persistent red head sitting up already, and in only a moment was climbing to her feet, just as her big sister was.
That's when the young ghoul allowed himself to look at the black wall of fire surrounding them all, trapping them on this rooftop. And as he spotted Kuyo he didn't even take the time to really take in his appearance, as he began trying to get to his own feet, however halfway up his body was racked with pain and he ended up spitting up some blood, stumbling back and landing on his ass as he did. This drew all the girls's and Gin's attention, so they were all on their feet and by his side in a matter of seconds.
As they all tried to ask him if he was okay, he assured them he was, but as he tried to get to his feet once more, they all insisted that he would need a few minutes to rest, which he couldn't exactly argue with since he was feeling somewhat weak at the moment. Before they could discuss it any further though, all of their eyes were on Kuyo as he laughed that sinister and maniacal laugh once more, and since they were looking at him once more, they took in his appearance.
While he remained mostly unchanged, he was slightly more muscular, and most noticeable was the fact that he now had nine tails instead of his original four, and that instead of the bluish white flames they were once comprised of, were now made up of black flames. Most of them couldn't help but admit to themselves that he now looked a good deal more malevolent than he once did.
He finished with his laughter, before looking down at his arms, clenching and unclenching his fists a few times, watching them as he did. "This is incredible! My power is now equal to that of the gods! I have become justice incarnate!"
The nine tailed fox spirit then looked at his eight enemies, before continuing to speak, "With this new power of mine, I shall enforce justice upon the whole world! I will exterminate all you pesky humans, and all of your worthless sympathizers! Then this world can enter a new age, one without you filthy scum, one where monsters rule! As unfortunate as it is, it will be a long time before I can bring about this change. But everyone has to start somewhere, and my somewhere just so happens to be Yokai academy! The very same school that turned it's back on us true monsters, on me, for a human of all things! For that, I shall burn this wretched place to the ground! No one will be spared, not the students, not the faculty, not even the great dark lord that we know as headmaster! You eight shall be the very first to experience the awesome power that will cleanse this world, tremble in awe at it's magnitude! Today is the day you eight will pay for the heinous crimes that you've committed against monster kind, and against me! You shall all give recompense, in the form of your cold, dead bodies! And I think I'll start with you, Tsukune Aono, because you have no place here! You are nothing but a pathetic, worthless, wretched human! And I will make you suffer for what your kind has done to this world!"
As Kuyo finished saying this, a very fox like and very predatory grin crossed his face.
At the nine tailed fox demon's words, the girls and Gin took up defensive positions in front of Tsukune, their formation quite similar to what they once used to protect him during their first confrontation with Kuyo, this time however there were seven of them, so it was a bit different.
Moka and Kokoa stood in front, their arms extended out to their sides, their fingers just centimeters from touching. Mizore and Kurumu were in the middle, their arms also extended, their fingers were almost eight inches from touching though, so they covered slightly more area to the left and right than the vampire sisters did, as they were standing somewhat farther apart from each other. Yukari and Ruby stood in the back, their arms extended as well, their fingers would have been touching, if the younger witch was taller that is. And finally, Gin stood in front of them all, his arms out at his sides as well, while hoping against hope that he could protect them all, but knowing it was impossible.
Mizore was the first to speak, "That's where you're wrong! Tsukune hasn't caused a sliver of suffering to anybody, whether they be human or monster! His whole life he's let everyone walk all over him, while offering them his kindness all the while! They simply used him and tossed him aside, for others to abuse and tear down! And all he did was smile in return!"
Kurumu was the second to speak, "Tsukune is the kindest, most sincere person that ever lived! Whenever someone is sad, he's there to cheer them up, even if he doesn't know their name! They could rant to him all day, they could tell him they hated him and that it was his fault, and he'd still be there to help them! He doesn't judge people, no matter what they've done! He's nothing like you say he is!"
Yukari was the third to speak, "Tsukune's done all that and more! Not just for us, not just for the people at this school, but for every single person he's ever met! He would have even shown you kindness, despite how evil and cruel you are! But you came after him, you manipulated him, you even tried to kill him, and you nearly succeeded! If you hadn't done something so nasty, and you had taken just a day to get to know him, you would have realized he is the greatest person ever!"
Ruby was the fourth speaker, "For everything Tsukune has done, he deserves happiness more than anyone! He came into our lives and saved us all! He took away the pain, the misery and the loneliness! And then he gave us all a piece of his heart in return, to do with as we please! He gave us the chance to break him, to make him suffer even further, and if we had he would have merely thanked us for it and assured us that he was okay! He is inconceivably kind and forgiving! He's nothing short of perfect!"
Kokoa was the fifth speaker, "But the moment he finds people who care for him and love him more than anything, and want nothing more than for him to be happy, fucking assholes like you show up to tear him down some more and make him feel even worse about himself! Tsukune shouldn't have to deal with that!"
Moka was the last of the girls to speak, "I have grown sick and tired of bastards like you making my Tsukune, our Tsukune, miserable! Today it ends! I've tried to be merciful with you and all the others, but enough is enough! From this day forward, anyone who so much as dares to even think about harming Tsukune, will die by my hand!"
Gin couldn't help but let a small smirk cross his mug at all of the girls's words, before he too spoke, "You hear that Kuyo? Sounds like your in for quite a bit of trouble if you want to hurt my friend. This time it'll be different, I won't let you kill a single one of my clubmates!"
The silver haired ghoul watched, speechless, as his girls and Gin prepared to use their very own bodies to defend him.
Kuyo's smirk hadn't faded, even as he replied, "Didn't I already tell you once before? Give me a break with this friends all sticking together bullshit. This time it means more than ever, because I now hold the power to wipe anyone I choose off the face of this planet."
As he said these words his tails began all began to rotate, faster and faster until it they moved so fast, it looked like he had a wheel of black fire sticking out from his tailbone. Once it was moving like that, Kuyo reached back and grabbed a hold of it with his right hand, before disconnection it from his backside, and preparing to toss it at his enemies, his tails settling down and returning to their mostly prone positions as he did. "Now then, have a taste of my new and improved firewheel!"
The nine tailed fox demon then hurled the black wheel of fire towards his opponents, intent on seeing just how many of them survived the coming explosion.
As the attack raced towards them, the seven quickly took action, not only to protect Tsukune, but each other as well. Moka instructed Kokoa, Kurumu and Gin to spread their monster energy around the group and how to pulse it just as the attack hit. Yukari and Ruby summoned a giant golden crow to use as a shield for their group, and Mizore erected a fifteen foot ice wall in front of that. They all did this just in time, as they finished the attack hit, engulfing the eight friends in a dark fiery explosion.
Several shrieks of pain could be heard, even if the people who let them out couldn't be seen because of the smoke. However soon enough the aftermath of the attack could be seen, large and small ice shards alike raining down upon the rooftop, some of them on fire, the incinerated body of the golden crow, almost nothing but ashes and yet the black flames that consumed it continued to burn, and Tsukune and his friends, all lying on the ground, having taken at least some damage from the explosion. They were all spread out, some lying face down, others on their backs, and while they all had scorch marks on them and their clothing, luckily it looked like no one had sustained any burns.
Tsukune was halfway between lying down and sitting up, using his elbows to keep himself propped up in that position, one eye closed not only because of pain, but also because he had a bit of ash in it, watching Kuyo as he began laughing to himself once more. The main reason for his not getting up was because he still felt rather weak.
All of his friends however were getting to their feet, some closer than others on that matter.
The first two up were not who anyone expected them to be, the two being the witch duo of Yukari and Ruby. They had crossed their wands and were currently gathering up their magical monster energy, but before they could gather enough to use a spell...
Kuyo stopped his laughter, but the fox like predatory grin was still there, and seeing the witch duo caused smugness to enter his smirk as well. Seeing that their wands were crossed he pointed his right arm at them, his hand open in a palm, dark blue fire quickly charging it into a cannon of great power, "I have no desire to deal with your childish antics this time, witches."
Then, without further warning, his palm blast discharged, hitting the magical duo with a good deal of dark blue flames and catching them up in a small explosion. Their screams of pain were very audible as they were hit, being blasted back a dozen feet, almost tumbling into the black fire wall in the process. Once the smoke from the small explosion faded, both witches could be seen on the ground, covered in flames. This had Tsukune's eyes widening to the max, but before he could force himself to his feet to help, even though he was too weak to do so at the moment, Gin rushed to the two's aid, tearing off his jacket in one swift motion, before beating the fire on both girls into non-existence, effectively saving their lives and keeping them from suffering anything beyond first degree burns. They weren't conscious at that point.
This allowed the young silver haired ghoul to breath a sigh of relief, but only for a moment.
Kuyo's smirk widened, as he remarked, "And that was my weakest attack too..."
Moka was on her feet by then, and as soon as the fire on her friends had been put out, she lunged at the fox demon. The nine tailed fox spirit nonchalantly sidestepped the seventeen year old vampire, before doing so again so as to avoid her once more. However she kept at it, and he kept barely dodging, and as they played this farce of a game of cat and mouse, they spoke to each other, "I'm surprised your so ready to fight over those two, last time you only seemed to care about that pet of yours."
"Things are different now, but you wouldn't understand that even if I explained it, after all when have you ever had a friend!? And Tsukune is not my pet! Don't you dare call him that! Stop referring to him as if he's not even a person!"
"But he isn't! He's apart of the scourge that plagues this planet! He is filthy human scum! Humans are pathetic, good for nothing, insufferable creatures! All they do is lie, cheat, steal and hurt other living beings without a second thought or even an ounce of remorse! And just because you muddled up his repugnant blood with yours doesn't change what he is, what he will always be!"
"You're nothing but a closed minded, power hungry, psychopath! And you aren't needed in this world! So I'm going to erase you!"
Kuyo's smirk widened at those words, "Just go ahead and try it."
Rather than evading her next kick, the fox demon instead opted to block it with his right arm. Moka wasted no time in attacking again, pulling back before launching another kick, which he blocked as well, she merely pulled back and tried another. When that one failed, she began to unleash a flurry of kicks, high kicks, low kicks, mid kicks, side kicks, all of which Kuyo continuously blocked, over and over again he prevented her from landing even a single blow on him. He chuckled at the prospect, before speaking to her once again, "Are you even trying? I barely even feel any of this!"
"Feel this you bastard!"
The silver haired vampire proclaimed this as she performed a lightning quick right spin kick, managing to get past Kuyo's defenses and ram her right foot into his gut with all her might, while also releasing all the monster energy she possibly could upon the moment of impact, amplifying the power of the kick to the highest the young woman could force it to. The power of the kick caused the long blonde haired monster's upper body to jerk forward a bit, and for him to bow his head momentarily, before raising it, locking eyes with his assailant and saying, "I'll admit, that one hurt a bit."
Before his silver haired female opponent could pull it away, the fox demon grabbed ahold of her right leg, wrapping his left hand tightly around her ankle. "But now it's my turn, and this one is going to hurt more than just a bit."
With that said Kuyo raised his right arm, before bringing it down with all his might and ramming his elbow into the side of Moka's leg, more specifically her knee, breaking her leg bone in half, shattering her kneecap and tearing it in half, some of her skin ripping open as part of her leg bone became visible to the outside world, covered in blood obviously. And the agony caused by this ripped such a blood curdling scream from Moka's throat, that it nearly caused Tsukune's heart to stop. The young man's eyes were widened to the extent and more fear gripped him at once than ever before.
Kuyo let the vampire's scream end, but as it did he cocked his right arm back, before shooting it forward and ramming his right fist into the side of his female enemy's face, cracking her jaw and cheekbone all to hell upon impact with the right hook, as well as getting a mouthful of blood to come flying out of her mouth. And since he let go of her ankle at the last moment, the force of the punch knocked her to the ground and caused her to slide a little over a dozen feet away, barely conscious and not looking like she'd be able to get back up for awhile.
Tsukune wanted nothing more than to go help Moka, but as he tried to get to his feet he fell to the ground once more, coughing up some more blood as he did. "What's up with me? Surely I can't be this hurt, not by that explosion..."
Once again it was Gin to the rescue, rushing over to Moka and helping her set the bone back inside of her flesh, so that the bone could knit itself back together and she could heal on her own, which she wouldn't have been able to had the bone remained peeking on the outside. And as he did this, someone else confronted Kuyo.
A furious Kokoa lunged at the nine tailed fox demon, hitting him with the strongest right haymaker she could summon, exclaiming this as she did so, "Take this you fucking asshole!"
The attack was so powerful it would have caused most monsters's chests to cave in upon impact, however that wasn't the case when it came to Kuyo. And the long blonde haired prick let the red headed vampire know that, "Was that supposed to hurt?"
The fifteen year old vampire let out a battle cry, before unleashing an incredible barrage of blows against her enemy, hitting him with punches; hooks, straights, jabs and haymakers, as well as kicks; high kicks, low kicks, mid kicks and side kicks. She was throwing everything she had at him, and he didn't even bother to defend against a single one of her attacks, none of which left even a scratch behind. However that didn't deter the red headed vampire, as she continued to throw all that she had at him. As she did this, he spoke to her, "Ah, Moka Akashiya's little sister. You weren't here the last time I faced off against these pests, so you don't truly know who I am. Though I suppose that doesn't matter, as now I am far more powerful than I was back then. I suppose your angry about the damage I caused to your sister, how droll."
"Shut your goddamned mouth, you fucking bastard!"
Kokoa then hit her enemy in the face with a haymaker, putting her absolute all into the right handed strong punch, and yet when it hit it caused zero damage, and the fox demon didn't even bat an eye when the blow made contact. "That didn't even tickle. In fact, to be honest, I haven't even felt a single one of your attacks since you began. Their just so weak that I couldn't bother to block or evade them, as it would have simply been a waste of my time to do so."
Kokoa withdrew her fist from his face at those words, speechless at the fact that she couldn't even put a scratch on him. "Now, allow me to show you what true attacks are like."
As soon as those words left his mouth, Kuyo shot his right arm forward, slamming his right fist into the fifteen year old's gut, taking her a good few feet off the ground with his fist as he brought it upward somewhat, causing her to spit up a great deal of blood from the force of the blow to her abdomen. The fox demon didn't stop there, proceeding to hit her with a three punch combo, keeping her suspended in air as he did, every attack hitting the exact same spot on her abdomen as the first punch did, breaking several bones in the process, with each blow she ended up spitting up a bit more blood, though none of the three times did as much come flying out as the first time, which had been a to capacity mouthful. Through all four punches she didn't give even a whimper of pain, she couldn't though, because the wind had been knocked out of her four times over.
Kuyo had Kokoa elevated on his left fist, as he cocked his right arm back, speaking as he did, "Now, go take a dirt nap with your sister."
With that he shot his right arm forward, hitting the young red headed vampire in the face with a strong straight, severely cracking her jaw and sending her flying back over a dozen feet from the attack, landing on her back and skidding a few more feet, just barely avoiding coming into contact with the black flame wall. She too was barely conscious, blood leaking from both corners of her mouth.
Tsukune was on his knees, trying his hardest to get to his feet, so as to go help, but his body felt like led, so every small movement took a good deal of effort.
"Stop hurting my friends you sunuva bitch!"
Gin had lunged at Kuyo as he exclaimed that, and the fox demon didn't have time to guard against him, not that he would have, and for good reason too. The werewolf tried to pierce the blonde haired monster's flesh with his claws, where he would proceed to dig them into him, but having put all his strength behind this move, his claws broke clean in half when slammed against their rock hard target, Kuyo's body proving to be too resilient now that he had his new powers for that to work, at least with someone at the former head of the newspaper club's level of strength.
Gin hesitantly pulled his arms back and his hands up, where he looked at his now broken in half claws in disbelief, "The-they...broke?"
Kuyo's smug smirk widened as he spoke, "Yes, and now so will you."
The nine tailed fox demon then grabbed a hold of Gin's right arm by his forearm, getting a tight grip on him with his right hand, before getting his left arm in position and bringing it up, palm first against the werewolf's elbow, pushing with great enough force to nearly snap the half man half canine's arm bone nearly in half, eliciting a cry of intense pain from him because of doing so. Not letting go of his arm with his right hand, the long blonde haired monster lowered his left arm, before throwing it forward, and ramming his left fist into the werewolf's right side, breaking all his ribs on that side clean in half, which pulled another cry of severe pain from the eighteen year old, as well as causing a mouthful of blood to come flying out of his mouth as well. "I thought you learned well enough last time Morioka..."
As Kuyo said this, he let go of Gin's arm, before bringing his right arm over to his left side, his hand open into a palm, before proceeding to backhand the werewolf, sending him flying to his left, Kuyo's right, at incredible speed, "...that you shouldn't fuck with me, it'll only get you killed."
Gin was clearly going to fly right into the wall of black flame, so Kurumu took to the air and managed to catch him, almost being knocked to the ground herself from doing so, before getting back to the ground and lying him down on it. He was unconscious.
Kuyo hadn't bothered to watch after his target after he bitch slapped him, turning the other way in fact and looking over the ones he had already worked on. Moka and Kokoa were in the relatively same position they were in before, lying on the ground and barely conscious. However the witch duo of Yukari and Ruby looked to be coming around, their eyes weren't open just yet, but they were mumbling and one of them moved a bit, so they'd be conscious soon enough.
The long blonde haired monster's attention was soon drawn to his rear, turning around to see, as someone called out to him, "You're about to find out why you shouldn't turn your back on someone asshole!"
He barely had time to dodge, and yet the fiery tailed individual did so nonchalantly, avoiding the flying double kick she had been intending to hit him in the face with like it was nothing, because it was nothing. Before she could fully pass him he grabbed ahold of her tail, and proceeded to use his grip on it to slam her down onto the ground, causing her to gasp in pain as it happened. As she gasped, he said, "You're not even worth my time."
Not giving the succubus even a moment to recover, he then kicked her hard in the abdomen, breaking most of her ribs upon impact, eliciting a loud cry of pain from her, getting a good deal of blood to come flying out her mouth, and causing her to fly in the direction she had been kicked in for several feet, before hitting the ground and skidding several more, stopping just a few feet from the fire wall. She too was barely conscious.
Tsukune was only on one knee, halfway to his feet, and yet he just couldn't pull himself up, his body just refusing to listen to his commands. He tried to get his second foot planted on the ground anyway, in the process he ended up falling back onto his ass, as he began to breathe somewhat raggedly. Kuyo of course noticed this, so he began to slowly approach him in his weakened state, before he could get very close at all though, Mizore stepped in front of his path, crossing her arms as she froze the fox demon solid. However before she could even cover half of his body, it began to melt from just coming in contact with his black flame tails, rendering the tactic entirely useless. So the snow woman uncrossed her arms before forming them into two ice blades, from there she jumped at her fiery enemy, trying to cleave his head off with her twin ice swords.
The fiery tailed individual sidestepped his female enemy, doing so in a way that made it obvious that he was merely playing with her, rather than evading her attacks because he needed to. The young snow woman cringed as her feet hit the ground, her injury from a couple months back flaring up again, causing her heart immense pain, however she managed to keep herself from clutching at her chest, so as to not let her opponent know where she was injured, since he surely already knew she was injured by the look of pain on her face. It only took her a moment to recover from the pain, before she lashed out at him with a double slice, which he effortlessly swayed away from, before sidestepping her once more as she tried to impale him head on after the double slice. From there he began swaying to and fro, sidestepping every now and then, doing all this to avoid Mizore's non stop slashing and stabbing.
This all came to a stop soon enough, doing so because after one particularly violent thrust of her swords, the pain from Mizore's injury kicked in once more, causing her to turn her right ice sword back into her hand and clutch the left side of her chest on instinct, as if it would lessen the pain. This caused Kuyo's smirk to widen even further, as he now knew where her pain was coming from.
Tsukune was watching as well, and as she grabbed the left side of her chest in pain for the second time that he had seen, that's when he finally realized where she had gotten that injury. And as a flash of himself stopping on her chest as hard as he possibly could, pulling a scream of pain from her throat, hit him, he felt sick to his stomach and his heart clench up. "She said that Ruby and Yukari had healed her, she said that she was fine, but she wasn't, isn't fine...she's been walking around, in constant pain for months now. The nurse said one of her ribs was dangerously close to piercing her heart, oh dear god, it could have happened at any moment, she could have died at any time, because of what I did to her! She needs help, she needs my help!"
Just as Mizore recovered from the surge of pain, Kuyo grabbed her untransformed arm, before picking her up by it alone and slamming her down on to her back onto the ground with a good amount of force, causing the floor of the rooftop to crack outward in every direction for about three inches. This also caused her to gasp in pain as she received several bone fractures from hitting the ground so hard. The nine tailed fox demon didn't let up, as he let go of her arm he raised his right foot, before bringing it down hard, stomping on her chest with great force, snapping all of her intact ribs in half, and pushing the rib that had been close to puncturing her heart into it just a bit, causing the most vital of organs to begin bleeding. However the flow of blood from it was so slow, the puncture point was so small and the rib was not even an inch deep into it, so it would take hours before she died, which was exactly what the fox demon wanted for her, a slow painful death, although he was thinking around fifteen minutes, not several hours, but he had no way of knowing that it would take that long, so his smug grin widened as pulled his foot away.
When Kuyo's foot made contact, it forced a blood curling scream from the young snow woman, one far too similar to Moka's, which brought everyone who was barely conscious and almost conscious around, as well as the unconscious Kurumu and Gin. So they all saw as a to capacity mouthful of blood came flying out of Mizore's agape mouth since she was mid scream.
The long blonde haired monster began laughing to himself once more as he withdrew his foot from Mizore's chest, breaking it to speak once, before continuing in it, "Now I remember, Aqua and Kazuma were talking about it on the way here, you had sustained a life threatening injury when that human scum flew off the handle and beat the hell out of you and your friends! They said that you had been supposedly healed, but rebuked that fact after speaking it, saying that snow women had to undergo a special treatment from another snow woman to heal such extensive injuries, or some other bullshit like that! It's poetic justice isn't!? The fact that you now lie dying, all because of something that human filth, that is supposedly so different from the rest, did to you!? Talk about ironic!"
"Shut your face, you goddamned sunuva bitch!"
Before he knew what hit him, Tsukune had lunged at Kuyo, ramming a right haymaker into his face with everything he had, releasing all the monster energy he could upon impact, causing the tall blonde monster to take a step back from the force of it. As the young silver haired ghoul's feet hit the ground, him landing just a inch or two past his enemy, he was already in the process of attacking once more. He went for a fast left high kick, slamming his foot into the left side of his enemy's head. Not letting up in the slightest, Tsukune pulled his leg back before switching to his right, and performing a lightning quick roundhouse kick, ramming his right foot into the right side of his opponent's head. As he tried to pull his leg back after the attack, Kuyo grabbed a hold of it with his left hand, wrapping it tightly around the half human's ankle, before turning to face him, his smirk almost entirely gone as he said, "That's enough of that. You've grown pretty strong, haven't you scum? That punch hurt as much as that vampire bitch's kick to the gut did. Alas, your power pales in comparison to my own. Allow me to show you just how pitiful your measly level of strength is."
The nine tailed fox demon then grabbed his half human opponent's leg with his right hand as well, before lifting him up and slamming him down on to his back onto the ground with great force, causing the ground to crack five inches in every direction from the impact point, giving the young ghoul several bone fractures and causing him to gasp in pain. Kuyo didn't stop there, no he merely lifted his opponent up by his leg once more, before slamming him back down again. However it didn't end there, the fox demon ended up lifting his enemy up and slamming him down repeatedly for several moments, hitting him against the ground roughly a dozen times before it was over, slamming him down into the ground once more for the hell of it, before turning away and beginning to walk back towards Mizore.
As he did though, Tsukune managed to flip over onto his stomach and reach out so as to wrap his right hand around the blonde monster's right ankle, locking it in an as tight of grip as he could manage, calling out as he did so, "Yukari, Ruby, Mizore's life is hanging in the balance, please get over to her and do whatever you can do to help her! I'll do my best to hold him off!"
Yukari and Ruby, having only been conscious for a few minutes, were on their knees when they heard Tsukune calling out to them. They were beyond worried for him, but they also knew exactly what kind of person he was, not to mention they too were scared for Mizore's life, so they called back in unison, "Got it Tsukune!"
The two got to their feet and rushed over to their icy friend, where they proceeded to do everything they could with their healing magic to help her.
With that out of the way Tsukune began forcing himself to his feet, having to let go of Kuyo's ankle since he began turning back to face him. Once he was on his feet he didn't even get a moment to collect himself or to try and attack, the fox demon hitting him in the gut with a strong left jab, causing him to nearly double over, spitting up blood as he did. The long blonde haired monster then brought his knee up, ramming it into the ghoul's jaw, cracking it all to hell, causing more blood to come flying out of his mouth, and knocking him back a few feet, going up and coming down because of the blow, landing hard on his back. Kuyo then got low down close to the ground, and buried his right fist into the silver haired male's gut, knocking the wind out of him, bruising several of his internal organs and causing a to capacity mouthful of blood to come flying out of his mouth. The fiery tailed individual stood up after delivering the heavy blow, turning to walk away while saying, "It's your fault all these friends of yours have to suffer like this, if you had just owned up to the fact you were filthy scum, and accepted your fate that day two years ago, none of this would have ever happened."
But he stopped after just a few feet, hearing his enemy getting up, so he turned around, where he saw the ghoul getting to his feet, his monster energy becoming visible as it pulsed, it's light red color surrounding him almost like a shroud. Just as Kuyo was going to say something to the seventeen year old, his power began to skyrocket, his monster energy beginning to flail violently around him, as it did he looked the fox demon in the eyes as he spoke, "You hypocritical, condescending, self righteous motherfucker! You dare act like this is my fault!? You're the bastard who, even after I pleaded for their lives, decided to execute all of my friends! This is your fault, not mine! All you do is preach about justice and denounce us humans as scum who do nothing but hurt others, when that's in fact you in a nutshell! You are the one who extorted money from all the clubs at Yokai academy! You are the one who ordered your men to beat the ones who couldn't pay senseless! You are the one who killed innocent people for merely doing what they believed was right! You did all that, not us, not me, but you! You did all this and more, claiming it was all in the name of justice, that it was for the sake of keeping the peace! You're nothing but villainous scum, and I've grown sick of your ways, so now I'm going to put a stop to them, once and for all!"
As the young silver haired male finished saying this, his light red monster energy became several shades darker and his power finished rising, while the ominous and almost wicked feel to his monster energy returned once again. From there Tsukune wasted no time in unleashing a great barrage of blows, every one causing Kuyo pain and making him take a step or two backwards, some drawing blood from him, it coming flying from his mouth. He put everything he had into every single attack, throwing his all at the nine tailed fox demon, however, as Moka figured out from watching as it happened, with every attack Tsukune's level of power dropped sharply, so that by the time he had hit his enemy with a dozen strikes, he was back at his normal max of matching her. But the silver haired seventeen year old was so enraged that he didn't even notice the fact that his punches stopped causing his opponent to back up, or the fact that they no longer drew blood or pained grunts from his enemy.
His power continued to drop even further, every blow he landed on the fiery tailed individual not leaving so much as a scratch now. And soon enough his strikes began to hurt him rather than the target they were intended for. When it came to that though, the fox spirit had decided that he'd had enough, so he stopped the ghoul from throwing another punch, doing so by ramming his right knee into his gut, causing him to double over in pain and spit up a mouthful of blood. He then raised his right arm, before bringing it down and slamming his elbow into the silver haired male's back, fracturing his spine, causing him to spit up more blood and knocking him face first to the ground.
Despite the severe pain he was in, the young ghoul got on his hands and knees, breathing raggedly, mentally preparing himself for the agony he was going to face when trying to stand up. Before he could though, Kuyo came to his side, dropped to one knee, and grabbed ahold of the back of his head with his right hand, saying this as he did, "Oh no, this time you're going to stay down."
Kuyo then rammed Tsukune's face into the ground of the rooftop, cracking it six inches in every direction from the point of impact, besides the cracks the impact also broke the young man's nose, busted his head open and cracked the hell out of his jaw. It also caused him to cry out in pain, but it was cut off as Kuyo rammed his face into the ground again, the bastard didn't stop there though, no he continued to ram the ghoul's face into the ground, repeatedly, over and over and over, again and again and again, not stopping until his face was an absolute bloody mess. As the fox demon did this to the young man, his lovers and Gin all called his name in worry and fear for his life, but he of course couldn't answer them. The fiery tailed individual lifted his enemy's head enough so as to look him in the eye, in doing so he confirmed that the young man was unconscious, before he could do anything further though, he heard Kokoa call out, "Let go of him you fucking bastard!"
The fox demon did just that, dropping the young man's face to the ground, before climbing to his feet, his work done for the moment. He turned around, expecting an attack, to see Kokoa in air, having lunged at him a moment ago. Unlike last time he didn't let her strike, he instead caught her by the throat in mid air with his right hand, getting a tight grip from the start so she couldn't even hope to be able to escape from it. Nevertheless she wrapped both her hands around his wrist and thrashed about as hard as she could, alas she could not escape no matter how hard she tried. "You are an annoying little bitch. So why don't I do everyone a favor and just choke the life out of you right now?"
It was phrased like a question, but it was a threat through and through, anyone could see that.
As Kokoa's eyes widened to the max, Kuyo thought it was out of fear, however that was thrown out the window when she spoke, "Ts-Tsukune!?"
The long blonde haired monster turned his head so he could see behind him out of the corner of his eye, and in doing so he saw Tsukune Aono, standing despite being beaten all to hell, his knees were weak, wobbling, and his arms were heavy, as they hung from his shoulders as if he didn't even have the strength to lift them, but he was standing nevertheless. Kuyo's eyes were wide as well, wondering to himself, "How in the hell could he get up after that!? He was down for the count, the only way I could have made further sure he wouldn't get up was if I had killed him!"
The fox demon decided to word something similar aloud, "I didn't think you'd be able to get back up after that. You're much tougher than I thought, I'll give you that."
However even after several seconds the young man failed to respond, and that was when everyone looked at his eyes, they were glazed over, which caused everyone to realize...that he wasn't even conscious!
That's when he spoke, his voice barely audible, "Mus-must...pro-protect...m-my...gir-girls..."
All of the girls felt tears begin to sting their eyes at that, he was so dead set on protecting them, that his body continued to do so even when his mind could not, since he was unconscious.
Gin was astounded, "He...he's not even conscious, and yet...there he stands, ready to protect them to the bitter end. Man Tsukune, you're something else."
Kuyo rolled his eyes, sighing as he did so, "You've got to be kidding me. Enough with all this mushy shit, it's making me sick!"
The fox demon then proceeded to lift Kokoa up, before chokeslamming her down onto the ground, once again cracking the rooftop, adding onto all the damage it had sustained, and getting a cry of pain from the young girl. Worst of all he fractured her spine with that move, so she was in intense pain lying there on the ground. Kuyo didn't care in the slightest of course, so he stood and turned around, where he came face to face with the unconscious, but determined Tsukune Aono, who had closed the distance between them. The tall blonde monster sneered at Tsukune, before hitting him with a strong right straight, causing the young ghoul to go skidding backward over a dozen feet, but the blow failed to knock him off his feet.
This surprised the fox spirit, but he didn't let that show, beginning to walk forward toward the unconscious but standing half human. However, just before he managed to reach the silver haired male, he collapsed, falling backwards and hitting the ground with a thud. Kuyo shook his head at this before turning and walking away from both the half human and the fifteen year old vampire, heading towards the center point of the rooftop, remarking on the young ghoul as he did so, "How utterly worthless his pathetic life is..."
Tsukune lie motionless on the ground, his heart beating slowly, but it soon came to a sudden stop. It remained like that, unbeating, for several long moments...before starting up once again. As it did Tsukune's eyes shot open and he took a large intake of breath into his oxygen deprive lungs, it being almost loud enough for the person closest to him at that moment, Kokoa, to hear, albeit she was a little over a dozen feet away. His breathing was ragged now that it had started up once more, his vision was also blocked by all the blood on his face, so he wiped all of it off, not really caring that it was now all over different parts of his left and right arm, only caring that none remained on his face.
It was incredibly taxing to even do that much, as the ghoul's entire body felt like it was made of the heaviest material on the planet, that included his chest, as it felt like he could barely breathe, even though he was taking a bunch of quick rapid breaths. Then, at exactly that moment, the young man's body began to go numb, and as it did fear began to enter his heart, as he remembered when he had asked Vladimir what it felt like when a vampire's body began to shut down from not getting enough blood, and he had said, 'I'm not a hundred percent sure of everything that happens, as I've only experienced the first three parts of the shut down process. First your hearts stops beating, only momentarily, before restarting itself, from there your body becomes heavy, and then finally you begin to go numb all over. I never made it past that stage, as I was always able to find a meal by then.'
And those words were followed by the ones Kokoa had spoken to him the day before, 'We vampires drink blood to survive Tsukune, you know that! You may only be half vampire, but that doesn't mean the rule doesn't apply to you! You've gone so long without blood Tsukune, you're body is probably in the early stages of shutting down! Don't you understand!? If you don't feed you'll die!'
His thoughts were frantic, "After everything that's happened here at this school, meeting the girls, taking on all assortments of monsters, all the times I thought I'd have a heart attack because of all the crazy stuff that happens here, or die because I wasn't strong enough, this is what does me in!? You have got to be fucking kidding me!"
That fear was quickly drowned in a sense of self loathing, regret, anger and sorrow, as his own mortality was nowhere near the top of his list of things that frightened him the most. Soon enough his entire body was numb, he couldn't feel any part of it, and what set in after that, was the worst physical agony Tsukune had ever experienced, as it felt like all of his internal organs, including his heart and brain, were slowly being squeezed by a vice, and that soon escalated to feeling like they were being crushed under something ridiculously heavy. He then coughed up more blood than he ever had before, most of it landing on his chest, the rest landing on the ground around him. That's when his life began to flash before his eyes...
Once it was over, the young man had to hold back a few bitter chuckles, as many of the memories had gotten to him, but one in particular had him wanting to laugh at the cruelty and irony of life. It was one that he had forgotten all about, he was only a child at the tender age of four. It was just a few days before he had been enrolled in preschool, his Mother and Father had spent the whole day with him, and it was an hour before his bedtime. His father, Koji, had just finished explaining to him what he did for a living, when his mother, Kasumi, asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. His answer...
Tsukune spoke to himself the very same words he had said that day, while they echoed in his head...
"I want to be someone who helps others in need! Someone who everyone counts on to help them! Someone who can protect everyone they love! I want to be a hero!"
"I want to be someone who helps others in need. Someone who everyone counts on to help them. Someone who can protect everyone they love. I want to be a hero."
The young ghoul scoffed at his own words, "What a ridiculous dream..., after all, I could hardly be considered such a thing. A hero, me? What a ludicrous notion. Someone like me could never fill the role of the hero. Look at everything I've done; I turned the only person who was kind to me against me, drove her to those bastards Chad, Tucker and Konji, I've run away like a coward far too many times to count, I've pulled all these wonderful, amazing girls into a fucked up situation where they all feel like I'm worth more than their lives, I've taken their chance at happiness away because I was too selfish to just pick one, or better yet to just take myself out of their lives altogether, that would have solved a lot of problems, not just for them, but for everyone. Worst of all, I hurt them, I physically abused these perfect girls, for that I am far worse than scum. If it wasn't for me Yokai academy wouldn't be under attack right now, if it wasn't for me Mizore wouldn't be writhing in agony as she slowly dies no less than thirty feet from me, it would have been better for everyone involved...if I just didn't exist."
Tsukune began to cry after speaking those words to himself, because even as his body slowly shut down, all the pain he felt was nothing compared to the agony his heart was in, and not the physical kind either. He hated himself more than anyone else in the world at that moment, he had taken the only seven perfect beings in the world and tied them to himself, as they were forced to share a love that wasn't worthy of anyone, let alone them. He had taken their purity and their hearts, when he couldn't be any less deserving of either. He didn't deserve these girls, and yet everything within him screamed at him to hold on to them, he didn't want to let them go for anything in this world. He loved them, he loved them all so much that it actually, physically hurt, when he saw one of them upset or in need. One percent of himself kept telling him to just let it go, to leave this life behind, to die and free these perfect girls from his wretched existence, but the other ninety nine percent...screamed at him to never let them go, no matter what happened.
That's when his ghoul side piped up, "Now is not the fucking time for a debate with yourself! You need to feed, now!"
The young man did not respond, which caused the ghoul side to become frantic and desperate, "Did you hear me!? Now is not the time for this shit! If you don't feed right now, then we're going to die!"
The silver haired male still failed to respond, "Listen to me damn it, we're fucking dying!"
That finally got him to respond, "Good! We deserve to!"
The half human then managed to block out his ghoul side's voice, as he did that he saw storm clouds in the sky, blocking out most of it's red color, only the moon visible. He watched as rain began to fall from the clouds, starting as a slow drizzle, but he was sure it would turn into a down pour soon enough.
As tears continued to slide down his face, along with the water which was washing away most of the blood on him, Tsukune embraced the end, closed his eyes and became ready for death to take him. However that's when he was hit with all the times he managed to make the girls happy, their smiling faces and their praises, and their love, it covered him and consumed him. And then their words of how they couldn't live without him echoed inside his head, which allowed him to realize that if he gave up and died here, they would also die, even if Kuyo didn't kill them. They needed him just as much as he needed them, so, for once in his life, Tsukune decided to allow himself to be selfish, and would hold onto his girls for as long as he lived.
With that in mind his eyes shot open, moving about frantically so as to make sure his girls and Gin were okay, and when they landed on Kuyo, he realized he was at the center point of the rooftop, and had a small ball of black fire in his right hand, that was slowly but surely growing bigger, the water evaporating as soon as it came into contact with the flames, the same going for the flame wall. And judging by the look on the bastard's face, the half human became quite fearful for his friends lives. That's when he felt his heart skip a beat, before beginning to slow down, and all the pain he felt before was amplified as this happened by ten, nearly causing the silver haired male to scream in pain, the only thing stopping him from doing so was the fact that he bit his bottom lip real hard. This is when he came to the realization that if he wanted to survive this so as to protect his girls, that he needed to feed, just as his ghoul side said.
So, despite everything in him hating the very thought of him doing so to one of his girls, he resolved to drink from them. Before he could try and decide which one to feed on, he shuddered at that thought, the instincts that came with being a ghoul cried out to him, causing his eyes to seek out and lock on to Kokoa. He had no idea why, but ever since he had smelled her blood actually outside of her body, his ghoul side and instincts wanted nothing more than to feast upon her til their thirst for her blood was sated. However they weren't in control, he was, but he too decided it would be Kokoa who he fed from. For two reasons, first she was the closest to him, only being thirteen or fourteen feet away, and the second and much more important reason, she was the only one who knew he hadn't drank any blood yet, at least that he knew of, so he hoped against hope that she could forgive him for what he was about to do to her.
Despite the immense and ever increasing pain every part of his body was in, Tsukune rolled over onto his stomach and began to crawl towards Kokoa. Every little movement wracked his body with agony most people couldn't imagine, however he simply gritted his teeth and bared it, continuing to crawl towards his fifteen year old lover. The closer he got the more his mind hazed over, the urge to feed just a step away from consuming him and taking control of his actions, and yet he fought back, simply because as much as he would hate himself for what he was getting ready to do to his red haired lover, he would not allow himself to become ravenous and risk hurting her.
As he continued to draw closer and closer to her, his thoughts were going a thousand miles a minute, "My girls have always been there for me, saving my life from the get go, from day one. No matter how hard I tried though, I just couldn't keep myself out of trouble, and I certainly couldn't save myself, I was always far too weak. Even after I gained the strength to protect the girls and myself, all I did was abuse it, trying to take revenge on Cynthia, Chad, Tucker and Konji, as well as beating all of the girls to bloody pulps simply because of my own insecurities, and when I finally decided to use it for the right reason, it proved to be inadequate. I'm always either too weak, or abusing what strength I do have. But this time...I've got no choice, I can either step up and become the hero I always wanted to be, or everyone dies because I'm too pathetic to protect them."
That's when he spoke aloud, only barely audible, pleading to whatever deity would listen, "Please, just this one time, let me be the hero that they need me to be, let me have the power to save everyone I care about, let me be strong enough protect them all!"
The silver haired boy shook his head at that, "No, no one can help me this time. I have to do it myself, I have to become the hero they need all on my own. I have to do it, for my girls!"
Soon enough he was only two feet from Kokoa, and his mind blocked out everything else at that point except for her, lying there, breathing in and out, her chest rising and falling. Her eyes fell on him, realizing how close he was compared to just a minute or so ago. "Tsukune?"
Her voice was like music to his ears, so beautiful, and the innocence she unknowingly projected when she was around him always had him thinking her cuter than any other girl he had ever seen, the only exceptions being his six other girls, all of whom were just as beautiful as Kokoa, and all seven of them were far beyond the rest of the females he had seen in his life.
The young vampire had quite the rough and tough exterior, and while it was indeed part of who she was, that wasn't all there was to Kokoa Shuzen, she also had a tender and soft side, as well as a need to please the ones she loved, he found that out personally, not knowing that it applied to himself more than it ever would to anyone else. Then of course was her fierce protectiveness over anyone she cared about, and while he had only seen it come out around him and Inner Moka, he was sure that there was room for more in her heart. And as he thought of what he was about to do to this perfect girl, he felt the pace of his tears increase. While the rain would usually hide the fact that someone was crying, with him being so close to her Kokoa could see that he was in fact shedding tears, so she asked the simplest question, "Tsukune, what's wrong?"
The young ghoul laid his left arm over her abdomen, just below her breasts, however his right arm lie at his side, unmoving. This was because he could no longer move it, no matter how hard he tried, no matter how hard he forced it, it wouldn't budge so much as an inch anymore. As he put his arm on her, he spoke, his voice almost cracking because of him forcing his sobs back, keeping them from being vocalized, "Kokoa, I love you so much, so please, please, I beg of you, forgive me for what I'm about to do."
"What are you-ah!"
Tsukune then sunk his fangs deep into the soft flesh of her exposed neck, and began to feast on her exquisite blood. As he did she gasped, while doing her best to keep it as quiet as possible, since she dare not alert anyone to what was happening, not when she had seen the look in her lover's eyes and heard his pleas. It only took her a moment to realize, considering the desperation in his feeding, and the fact that he seemed to be in agony, that he hadn't partaken of any blood the day before like he promised he would. She did not feel anger though, she only felt fear, as she realized that if her lover had gotten to her more than a minute later, he'd have died on the spot. So unlike anything the young ghoul expected her to do, she laid her right arm over his left so as to make sure he couldn't pull it away, while placing her left hand in his silver locks, applying slight pressure to silently tell him to take more, as she whispered in his ear, "Take as much as you need Tsukune. And know that I will always love you, no matter what happens."
Tsukune couldn't describe how much that made him feel better, and with each passing second, he also felt his body returning to normal, the pain slowly ebbing away, the numbness receding, and his broken and fractured bones healing, as well as his bruised organs. He was soaked, as was she, however they were far from caring at this point. All the blood that was on either of the two had been washed away by the heavy rain at this point.
Once he was strong enough, Tsukune got to his knees, pulling Kokoa into his lap and continued to feed. She encouraged him to do so, knowing he needed a lot more than one usually would considering this was his first time drinking blood. As he continued to drink, his monster energy began to pulse as it rose, getting back to it's original peak extremely fast, becoming visible, surrounding his body almost like a shroud, the color light red. This of course drew everyone's attention, including Kuyo's, to the two, as the ghoul's monster energy rose in power and pulsed more and more erratically, slowly becoming violent. It soon turned dark red, the ominous and almost wicked feel to it returning, as it reached the same level it was when he attacked Kazuma and Kuyo with it, everyone knowing at this point that was his limit.
However it soon rose past even that, the young silver haired male becoming even stronger from feeding on the young vampire. And as Kuyo realized this, his eyes widened a great deal, "What the hell!?"
Before he or anyone else could get over their shock from Tsukune's power rising past it's previous maximum level, ten of the links on his holy lacked cracked, breaking, just as he was encased in a cylinder of his own monster energy, which soon shot upward almost like a beam, almost exactly what happened to Kokoa, except this one was much bigger and darker in color. It was at it's maximum potency, if anyone had tried to get near the large beam of monster energy Tsukune and Kokoa were currently encased in, they would have been incinerated.
Eventually the beam faded and Tsukune and Kokoa became visible once more, and the young man looked relatively the same, from the back at least, except for the monster energy surrounding him in a shroud like way, which was an even darker shade of red than it once was. Tsukune pulled away, retracting his fangs from Kokoa's flesh, a bit of blood dripping down his chin as he did, before gently lying the seemingly unconscious girl down on the ground. He then proceeded to turn towards his enemy, his eyes closed until he called out, "Kuyo!"
While almost nothing had changed, there were two big ones to the young man's appearance. The first was his eyes, his irises were still blood red, but his scleras were pitch black, the second, and much more noticeable change, was the addition of several black vein-like patterns on the right side of his neck and face. These two things together had the young man looking slightly demonic, and quite intimidating. Upon seeing him like this most of the girls gasped.
The nine tailed fox demon was still quite confident in his abilities, but the young man's new power had him rattled, and the black ball of fire in his right hand, that was now bigger than his head, violently thrashing about for a few moments hinted at that, "What!?"
"I'm gonna to take you down!"
The fox demon sneered at that, "Just try it!"
The fiery tailed individual would come to regret saying that, as Tsukune closed the distance between them in less than a second and rammed his right fist into his gut, causing him to nearly double over, spitting up blood as he did. The young silver haired man then proceeded to put his left hand just an inch above the ball of black fire in his enemy's hand, before using a small concentrated burst of his monster energy to disintegrate the flames into nothingness. He then hit the long blonde haired monster in the jaw with his right knee, causing his body and head to jerk upwards, a bit more blood to come flying out of his mouth and for him to take a step backwards. The young man then performed a right spin kick, hitting the fox demon hard in the abdomen, causing him to skid several feet back from the force of the blow.
Tsukune didn't try to follow up after that, he simply put his leg down and waited for his opponent to collect himself. As he waited, he noticed, out of the corner of his eye that Kokoa was conscious once more.
Kuyo was hunched over slightly, both arms holding his abdomen out of instinct because of the pain, as he looked up from the ground at his enemy who was several feet away, his teeth gritted, and anger as well as annoyance clearly shown on his face. He stood up straight and put his arms back at his sides, before speaking, "Don't think you've gotten the better of me, you filthy human scum! I haven't even begun to show you the true extent of my power! So make no mistake, I will kill you!"
Tsukune then beckoned the fox demon to attack him with his right hand, while saying, "Bring it."
The fiery tailed individual did just that, rushing toward his smaller opponent, closing in and going for a left straight, which the shorter monster caught in his right hand, before proceeding to lock it in a tight grip so he couldn't pull away. The fox demon then tried for a right straight, but the silver haired man batted it away with his left arm, before cold cocking him in the face with the fist of the very same arm. The blonde monster growled before trying once more, this time with a right hook, which the silver haired male caught in his left hand, before applying the same grip he did with the right. Kuyo was the one to get the next hit in however, as he shot his right knee up, burying it into his opponent's gut, causing him to hunch over and spit up a bit of blood, it also caused his grip to loosen just a bit, but that was enough for the nine tailed monster to yank his fists free from his grasp. He then capitalized on his enemy's hunched over position, putting his hands together and raising them above his own head, before bringing them down hard onto the back of the vampiric individual's head, hitting him with a strong jackhammer, knocking him to the ground, thought not completely as he caught himself with his hands, which put him on all fours instead of face to the floor.
Kuyo cocked his right arm back, not intending to give his enemy any time to recover, before shooting it down towards his head. "You certainly got a strength boost, but considering how cocky you are, it seems you've let your ghoul side take over. What weak willpower!"
Without even looking up at him, Tsukune raised his left hand and caught his opponent's punch, before replying to what he said, "I'm afraid that's where you're wrong, for you see..."
The young man raised his head and looked up into the fox demon's eyes as he finished proclaiming, "...I'm the one who's in control, of myself, and of this battle."
The nine tailed monster scoffed, before speaking, his words dripping of sarcasm, "Is that so?"
"Don't believe me? Then allow me to show you."
Just as he finished speaking those words, the silver haired man got to his feet, while at the same time shooting his right arm upwards and ramming his right fist into his enemy's jaw, causing his head to jerk upwards and a bit of blood to go flying out of his mouth. Now on his feet, the silver haired teen let go his opponent's fist, before tackling him to the ground and proceeding to begin wailing on his face, punching him rapidly and repeatedly with all his strength. He hit him about a dozen times, before the blonde monster managed to retaliate, catching his face with a right hook, causing him to stumble back onto his feet, before pulling back both his strong legs and shooting them into the young man's abdomen, with all the fox's strength behind it, the force was too much and took the silver haired male clean off his feet.
He was sent soaring backwards and upwards, he flew for several feet, before backflipping causing him to begin descending. His feet hit the ground, and as they did he used his right hand to help him begin skidding, doing so for several feet, before coming to a close stop, mere inches from the wall of black flames.
Kuyo stood roughly at the center point of the rooftop, a bit of blood leaking from both the right and left side of his mouth, and an angry scowl on his face. "Enough of these games! You actually think that you can beat me!? Not only is that ridiculous, but the fact that you could even think of yourself as my equal is laughable! The actual notion almost as ludicrous as the claim that you're going to take me down! But fine, if you want to act all high and mighty, claiming that you have complete control of this fight, I'll just have to show you just how wrong you are!"
With that said the fox demon formed a small ball of black fire in his right hand, about the size of his palm, before shooting his left arm down and ramming it into and halfway through the floor of the rooftop, ripping it out only a moment later, leaving a decent sized hole. He then hovered his right hand over it, before tilting it and simply letting the ball of black flames fall from it and down through the hole. He then looked towards his younger enemy and gave a maniacal, smug and fox like grin.
"Hell's bomber." As soon as those words left his mouth, the ball of flames hit the floor of the story of the building below them, exploding when it did, breaking all the windows, blowing several walls clean off, sending them flying several feet from the building, and consuming the entire inside of the building, from the top floor to the bottom floor, in a fiery blaze.
Ruby, Yukari and Kurumu all cried out, "NO!"
Mizore, Kokoa and Moka hurt for Tsukune, as they knew his cousin was in there, and how much he cared about her.
Gin was the only other one to react verbally, "You goddamn bastard!"
Kuyo burst into a bout of laughter, it lasted for several long moments, before he spoke once more, "Anyone who was still inside, is now dead."
Tsukune clenched his fists tightly, so tight in fact that he drew blood. "Kyouko was in there..."
As much as the young man wanted to kill Kuyo for what he had just done, to try and do so now would put his girls lives at risk...and in the end they were more important to him than even Kyouko was, as much as it pained him to admit it. So he buried the pain of loss he felt at the death of Kyouko deep within, and focused solely on keeping his girls safe and alive, nothing else mattered to him at that point.
"Seven minutes, we've only got seven minutes before that fire spreads up to this location. And I am the only one here who can survive coming into contact with it. So whether you manage to take me down or not, you'll all die anyway."
The nine tailed monster's grin widened at that, before he spoke once more, "I will now show you just how strong I am, you shall see just how limitless and unconquerable my power truly is!"
Kuyo then set his sights on the downed Moka, before throwing a right straight at her, his arm palm face up as he did, creating a trail of black flames along the ground that rapidly raced towards their target. As they were set into motion and continued to come closer, the silver haired female's eyes widened to the fullest extent, but just before they could reach her, Tsukune appeared in their pathway, pulsing his monster energy and disintegrating them into nonexistence.
The fox demon then set his sights on Mizore, forming the same spear of flames he had used to nearly kill Tsukune two years ago, except it was now black and far more powerful, before chucking it at her. It sped towards her, and Yukari and Ruby were in it's cross hairs as well, so it could honestly hit any one of them. Tsukune cut it off just before it could reach them, pulsing his monster energy and disintegrating the flame technique once more.
The nine tailed monster then turned towards Kokoa, cocking his left arm back as his open palm was consumed in black flames, before shooting it forward, lobbing a ball of spinning black fire towards the young red head, "Hell sphere!"
It grew much, much faster than Kazuma's version, as halfway to Kokoa it was the size of a bus, so Tsukune appeared in front of it before it could go any further than halfway and as the previous two times, the vampiric individual pulsed his monster energy and wiped the attack from this plane of existence, however this was merely a ruse, a trick, a trap, and the young man had fallen for it. Kuyo appeared right behind Tsukune, and when he turned to face him, he saw the predicament he was in, for the fox demon had his right arm extended toward him, his hand open in a palm and only an inch from his face, black fire having already charged it into a cannon of almost inconceivable power. He then proceeded unload all of it's incredible power on the silver haired man at point blank range. "Hell's flash!"
All of the girls, as well as Gin cried out for him, "Tsukune!"
The two were then consumed in an explosion that blasted Kokoa several feet backwards, almost knocking her into the wall of black flames.
When the smoke cleared Kuyo was standing exactly where he had been, looking just fine. Tsukune however was lying on his back about ten feet away, covered in scorch marks, but no serious burns. Which shocked everyone, including Kuyo. "How in the hell!?"
Tsukune wasn't unconscious, that was proven as he began climbing to his feet, but judging by the way he was breathing and how he was wincing with every movement, it looked like the attack had hurt him a great deal. Once he was on his feet, he proceeded to answer the unasked question, "I pulsed my monster energy at the last second, saving me from the burning aspect of your attack. However I couldn't stop the impact or the blast damage you had accumulated into it. To put it simply it hurt like hell. But I'll be honest, as I speak I already feel much better than a few moments ago. It seems my healing rate has increased along with my power."
Kuyo was currently gritting his teeth so hard they were in danger of cracking, "Why you overconfident dirty scoundrel, I'm going to make you pay for making a mockery of me!"
The vampiric individual leveled a hard glare at the fiery tailed individual, "Don't you dare talk about making me pay for something, when you've yet to pay for killing my cousin you bastard."
The two then rushed each other, Tsukune going for a right straight and Kuyo going for a left, they met at the center point of the rooftop, their fists slamming into each other, causing their monster energies to flail about violently for several long moments, as they continued to push their arms forward, trying to overpower each other. When it ended in a draw, they both threw their remaining arm forward, the silver hair going for a left straight and the blonde for a right, the two fists ramming into each other, and neither arm giving an inch. As they tried to overpower each other with both arms against each other, their monster energies pulsed and flailed even more violently, almost as if they were powering up, even though they weren't. After almost a dozen moments of deadlock, the two drew their arms back before beginning a furious exchange of blows. The clash was more or less equal, with the silver haired man scoring a strike for every one the blonde haired monster did, though sometimes he would gain the advantage and land two blows for the long haired man's one. This non stop skirmish took three whole minutes to end, but when it finally did, it ended with Tsukune ramming his right fist into Kuyo's face, and the same vice versa, so it too ended in a draw.
The two monsters skidded back several feet from each other's final blows, before coming to a stop. The two stayed where they were for a bit as both of them panted, having each given their all in that war of blows. They stared each other down for several long moments, before on some unseen cue they raced towards each other once more. The two powerful beings closed the distance between each other, the long blonde haired monster going for a strong right straight, which the silver haired man moved his head to the left to avoid, while at the same time driving his right knee deep into his enemy's gut, causing him to hunch over and spit up some blood. The vampiric man didn't stop there, pulling his leg back and proceeding to rapidly ram his knee three more times into his opponent's gut, before pulling back and shooting it forward once more, this time with all his might, slamming his knee into the fox demon's abdomen with all his might. And as he put his leg down and took one small step back, the nine tailed monster collapsed to his knees because of the pain he was in.
With his enemy on his knees in front of him, Tsukune squatted and began channeling all of his monster energy to his fists, before proceeding to unleash a massive barrage of strikes, ramming his fists into every part of Kuyo from the waist up, bombarding him with punches so strong they could break through diamond. Every blow broke a bone in half, ruptured an organ, or just simply brought blood, and the fox demon was absolutely defenseless the whole time, being in too much pain to form much rational thought, and the attacks coming too quick for him to try and block them. This furious assault lasted for roughly half a minute, before coming to a close.
The great flurry of fists, it left Tsukune breathing very raggedly, having used a great deal of his monster energy during the move, and his knuckles looking almost like chopped meat, so bloody and raw from delivering so many strong blows on someone so tough, however they were already healing themselves up, the skin reforming as he breathed in and out deeply and somewhat quickly.
Kuyo on the other hand had several ruptured internal organs, all of his ribs broken in half, his nose broken, his jaw broken, and several bloody fist imprints on his body, he was also bleeding heavily from his mouth, and some was leaking from his nostrils as well. He was on his knees after the great rush of strikes, unmoving and unblinking for several seconds, before falling backwards and landing on his back with a thump, his eyes closing, seemingly becoming unconscious.
Tsukune stood up, his breathing still quite uneven, looking at his downed opponent for several moments, before relaxing, his shoulders drooping and his arms beginning to hang at his sides. Now all he had to do was kill him, and it would all be over. However that's when the nine tailed monster's eyes shot open, raising his right arm as high as he could while lying on his back, black flames consuming it entirely, before bringing it crashing to the ground, as he did this Tsukune knew he didn't have time to stop him, so he merely crossed his arms and used them to guard himself.
"Hell's impact!" A wave of black fire emanated from the point his hand made contact with the ground, moving in every direction, hitting Tsukune and launching him a dozen feet back, the only thing keeping it from setting him aflame was his monster energy. He landed on the ground and rolled several feet, before forcibly changing it to tumbling and catching himself mid tumble, landing on his feet because of doing so. The wave of black fire that moved in every direction from it's point of impact had faded, as it had served it's purpose and allowed Kuyo to get to his feet.
The fox demon was far from happy, it being obvious to all because of the look on his face, "You human scum, I'll kill for what you've done, no matter the cost! So I'll give you an ultimatum, your life...or hers!"
Kuyo then extended his right arm and pointed his index and middle fingers towards Moka, before the very same beam of fire that had killed Kazuma shot out of them and raced towards her downed form, this time of course it was black, so it was much more powerful. It was moving faster than any move he had used so far, so Tsukune only had a split second to cut off it's pathway to his silver haired lover, which meant he didn't have time to pulse his monster energy. So as Tsukune appeared in front of Moka, the beam of black flames pierced his chest, coming several inches out his back after going through his front. The silver haired man gritted his teeth so as to keep his pain from being vocalized, as he did he was consumed in the black flames, burning him up from the inside and outside.
"TSUKUNE!"
Tsukune's lovers and his best friend were forced to watch, as before their very eyes, his flesh was eaten away by the flames. In mere moments his arms were nothing but bones, while the rest of him was becoming a dark shade of black, becoming charred with eschar. As this happened he couldn't help but cry out in pain. However only moments into his scream, it turned into one of great effort, and in a visible pulse of his monster energy the flames that covered him vanished, being disintegrated by his power. At the same time his flesh revitalized itself, and new flesh began to cover his bone arms, his healing factor kicking into overdrive, before in mere moments he was back to tip top shape. Once he was though he fell to his knees, panting heavily, as it had taken a great deal out of him to clear that fire, and kick his healing factor to the next level.
Everyone's eyes were widened to the fullest extent, all of them being greatly shocked by his display, no one expecting that to happen in the slightest.
As the silver haired man slowly got to his feet, he thought to himself, "I need to end this fast, otherwise I'll risk running out of energy. I've never been in this state before, I've no clue how to keep myself in fighting condition like Moka and Kokoa do when they battle. Yes, this needs to end now."
Kuyo was shaking in pure rage, his thoughts whirling, "How is it possible!? It can't be! These are supposed to the very flames of hell itself! No one should be able to survive a direct hit from them! Especially being burned alive like that! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"
The nine tailed fox demon erupted into a loud, rage filled roar, his flame tails beginning to burn uncontrollably, licking the ground every few seconds, leaving scorch marks behind. This marked the point where Kuyo officially lost his cool.
As his roar came to an end, a glint of insanity appeared in the blonde monster's eyes, as he formed an orb of black flames in the palm if his right hand, it being nearly twice the size of his head. He then proceeded to toss it high into the air, it soared upward until it reached a hundred feet, and as it did he closed his hand, and on cue the orb grew a hundred times bigger, becoming so massive it blocked out the sky, it being blocked out no matter where you were on campus. "This is my ultimate technique, which I've been training two years to master! It has no name, as for after it's used, I shall be the only one left alive! And now with my all powerful black flames, it is a thousand times stronger than it originally was! We've only a minute before it collides with the ground, and when it does it'll explode and annihilate everything within a ten mile radius! If you hurry, you might be able to save yourselves, but everyone else at this wretched school will die!"
The now psychotic Kuyo then proceeded to begin laughing maniacally and somewhat crazily.
Everyone was too flabbergasted to speak, except for one silver haired individual, and as he got to his feet he did. "Then I'll just have to kill you before it touches down, so as to prevent that from happening!"
The nine tailed fox demon came down from his laughter to reply, "You can certainly try! But you'll lose your only chance to take the ones you claim to love so much and run! Oh well, it just means I get my revenge after all!"
He then began laughing once more.
Tsukune gritted his teeth at that, but decided not to reply, instead opting to begin rushing towards the fiery tailed and psychotic individual. As he began closing in though, rows and rows of small walls of black flames, standing at about his height, came into existence between him and Kuyo. The silver haired male began to continuously pulse his monster energy as he raced forward, so as to disintegrate each one. As he began drawing too close for comfort, Kuyo said the hell with it and unleashed his flames as hot as he could make them, upon himself, igniting himself in a last ditch effort to keep the vampiric individual from him. This was mostly a wasted effort, as the young silver haired man cocked his right arm back, sending all the monster energy he could spare to it, making it clear he wasn't the least bit hesitant because of the flames.
In mere moments his hated human enemy would be upon him to take his life, Kuyo just couldn't take it, so he finally shouted the question he had been asking himself about this man, "WHY!? Why would you risk your life to take me down!? Everyone else in this world would take the ones they love and run now that the chance has been presented, so why not YOU!?"
The silver haired man had closed the distance, it was time to end this. "Because if I don't, WHO WILL!?"
With that Tsukune threw his right arm forward with everything he had, ramming his right fist into and all the way through Kuyo's chest, ripping through the flames, his flesh, muscle and bone until it burst from his upper back, covered in blood and flames.
Kuyo hacked up a great deal of blood, before going limp and slumping against Tsukune, finally dead.
The vampiric individual freed his arm from his enemy's chest, allowing him to fall to the ground, landing with a very audible thud. He then looked upward and the massive orb of flames baring down on Yokai academy, and now with it's caster dead it began to slowly but surely dissipate, so by the time it would have touched the rooftop, it was nothing more than the size of a person. So as to make sure it didn't cause anyone harm, Tsukune rose his right hand and pointed it towards the flames, before proceeding to released a controlled pulse of his monster energy, disintegrating them into nothingness, along with the ones that consumed that very arm.
The rain had stopped, most likely because of that giant orb of fire, of course no one could be sure of that. But it had stopped nevertheless, so the blood that covered Tsukune's right arm, as well as the splatter of it he had sustained dealing the killing blow, wouldn't be washed away like it had been earlier.
Because the one who cast them was no more, the flame wall trapping Tsukune and his friends on the rooftop was gone, as were the flames inside the building they were standing upon. However from all the damage it took it was unstable and could come down at any moment, everyone knew that.
So they all evacuated the rooftop, Tsukune jumping down with Mizore in his arms, Ruby using a spell to fly down with Moka, Kurumu grabbing ahold of Kokoa, who grabbed Yukari, and flying down, and then Gin, who jumped down on his own.
As Tsukune's feet made contact with the ground, his hair bled back to it's original brown color, his scelera became white once more, his eyes changed back to their original brown and the vein like patterns on the right side of his neck and face receded and disappeared. He took a deep breath, as he struggled to remain on his feet, as he had just been hit by an enormous wave of fatigue, he managed, but barely. That's when the student body noticed him and began cheering his name. Vladimir, Deshiko, Mikogami, Nekonome, Fang Fang and Ling Ling began approached him directly. And as his lovers and best friend came to stand beside him, the student body began cheering even louder. As the girls and Gin looked around at all the people chanting Tsukune's name, they realized something...
Tsukune Aono was now the hero of Yokai academy.
To be Continued...
Also, if you guys want a better understanding of what I mean by black vein like patterns on his neck and face, simply look up Tsukune in ghoul form on Google images, and one of the first pictures that pops up has the pattern I'm talking about. When I saw that, I knew I had to give him them in my story.
