Chapter 7

They awoke mid afternoon still holding each other in a comforting embrace. DG though was confused. The barrier, which should have disappeared the moment he walked into it, was still up. Searching within herself, she tried to figure out what had happened with the spell. Then it hit her. When she had changed the spell to keep him out she had tied it to her emotional state. They would have to come together as one before the barrier would truly come down. The thought had her blushing bright red. Wyatt noticed her reddened cheeks. "What are you thinking about?" She ducked her head mumbling to herself.

"I'm sorry what was that?" he asked softly tilting her head back up so she was once again looking at him.

"The barrier is still in place," she mumbled her blush still in place.

"I thought it would come down when I walked through it. At least that's what you said last night," he said surprised though confused as to what was making her blush so becomingly.

"It was supposed to. But I think when I tied the spell to my emotional state, which by the way was what was keeping you out, it somehow changed the barrier," she said the blush getting deeper.

"What do you mean?" he asked, noticing her deepening complexion and wondered what exactly she was keeping from him.

"I...oh how am I supposed to say this?!" she nearly wailed.

Cain laid there trying to figure out what was going on. "Sweetheart, what are you not telling me?" he finally asked rubbing a hand down her arm.

"The barrier is only going to come down if we...We have to...," she began trying to get the words out which was hard because she had never been in a situation like this before. She was still an innocent in so many ways, even if she knew what had to happen between them. That didn't mean it didn't embarrass her while trying to explain it to him.

Cain had an idea what she was trying to say. He knew at that moment that she was still an innocent even if she hadn't come right out and said it. The signs were all there though. Her shy response to his touch, the hesitancy in their first kiss and her hesitation when she had asked about the Soul Pairing. He felt ashamed of himself for ever thinking she could ever have gone to anyone else to unlock her memories and her magic. He could also see the nervousness in her eyes as she looked at him and the slight virginal fear he had only seen once before in a woman who was so very similar to herself. "You're trying to tell me we have to come together physically before the barrier will come down, aren't you," he asked continuing his light touch to her arm. Elation filled him with the thought of joining together with her as he had wanted to for so long.

At her nod he smiled softly, "Nervous?" he asked, knowing that she was but wanted her to confirm his suspicion. She nodded again.

"You do know, we don't have to do this right now, though I am sure your parents would have something to say about you being gone for too long," he chuckled at the face she made at his comment.

"Wyatt!" she cried out. "I know we don't have to do anything right now but you're right. My parents would kind of freak out if I don't return soon."

They settled back onto the bed simply laying there facing each other. Before long her nervousness dissipated and she leaned up and placed a tender kiss to his lips, pulling back before he had time to assimilate what had just happened. "I love you Wyatt Cain," she whispered softly.

Her gentle kiss had awakened in him a need he had not felt in nearly a decade. Suddenly he flipped her onto her back. Leaning over her he kissed her back, letting her feel exactly how much he loved her. Pulling back after the need to breath became necessary, he whispered against her bruised lips, "I love you too, Dorothy Gale."

They looked at each other, both knowing that there was no turning back now. After that words became unnecessary as they allowed their bodies to speak for them. Hands caressed each other slowly removing articles of clothing that got in their way. Once there was nothing between them but skin he leaned back to look down at her. He ran his hands from her face down to her abdomen and back again. He could feel how much she was struggling to kept herself still under his wandering hands. She shyly reach up and placed her hands on his chest lightly running her hand over the strong expanse, exploring him as he was her. Groaning softly he leaned back down placing a open mouthed kiss to her arched neck and then lower to her upper chest. He felt her arch below him and he had to suppress another groan as her hips brushed against his. Moving his hands to her hips he held her down as he continued to kiss his way lower. He was intent on making this moment between them perfect.

DG tried to hold back the moan of pure pleasure at his touch and found herself reaching for something though what she knew not. Soon though, she felt the spring within her snap as she arched below him a scream tearing through her as she fell. Cain smiled against the skin of her thigh kissing his way back up her trembling body. He waited for her to calm slightly before joining them together. DG felt a strange stretching where he was pushing into her and had to keep herself from trying to push him away when the stretching became painful. He stopped when he felt her tense waiting patiently for her to calm once more. As soon as she did, he pushed forward tearing through her maiden head claiming her for all time as his. She cried out at the intrusion and stiffened as the pain flared through her. Soon the pain faded and she opened her eyes to find him staring at her intensely.

While their eyes were locked he pulled back only to sink back in moments later. She arched below him but kept her eyes locked with his. They moved together slowly neither wanting the feeling to end to soon. However, the need within them increased as did their movements. Soon their passion for each other over took them. DG could feel her magic gathering within her as well as the feeling she had felt moments before. She tried to hold off but all to soon she was pushed over the edge once more dragging him along with her. As her orgasm seared through her, she felt her magic push out of her sending pulses of white light out in all directions.

As their hearts slowed he fell to her side pulling her closer, finding that he could feel her more deeply than he had before. The Soul Pairing was now complete.

Az awoke the following morning and looked around. She was surprised to see a small cabin standing beside a tall white elm tree that was in full bloom. Looking around, she also noticed that the area around them was no longer dry and dead. Instead everything was a bright green; life having come back to the OZ something that had not been seen since the reign of her greatest great grandmother, Dorothy Gale the First. She knew something had happened though she had no idea as to what it was. Jeb joined her in looking around and was surprised when he placed an arm around her. She turned to look at him and saw the blush on his cheeks.

"What?"

"Nothing," was all she said a smile gracing her features.
