Hey everyone! Sorry it's took so stinking long to update. It wasn't that I was busy like it usually is. I'm just really good at procrastinating. So, my brother pointed out that I missed that Pixal was also on the boat, so for the sake of keeping this sort of Canon... ish, she was grief stricken and powered herself down at the time the first chapter took place.

Skylor Chan: Yes, my goal is to make this really feels. The more feels, the better. Thanks for reading.

TheJediLover: yeah, I am too, but don't worry. I'm fixing it.

Guest: Sadly, Jay and Nya's engagement is not Canon, but in my mind it is.

QueenoftheJordan: Thanks so much!

Cheesepuff fg: Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

Bob: Thanks!

You-Love-It-Really: my thoughts exactly. Thanks for reading.

LovetheLord: I feel bad for them too, although it's a really fun idea to write about.

Guest 2: Thanks for the advice! This fic is definitely meant to be more secular, but there are some underlying Christian themes. That tends to be the case since I write about what is important to me.

Lloyd woke to rain falling on him. He shivered and rolled over onto the floor of the boat. What the?

Then it hit him. His friends being crushed before his eyes. Oh yeah.

Misako, Nya, and Pixal stared miserably at him. He couldn't dare look in their eyes.

"I'm sorry," Lloyd whispered, surprised at how little sound came out.

Nya helped him to his feet, "you did nothing wrong Lloyd."

"But the others..." He began to protest.

Fresh tears began to gather in Nya's eyes, "Your father killed them, not you. This is not your fault Lloyd."

"That monster is not my father!" Lloyd insisted, for his own sake. It couldn't be. It simply couldn't be. His real father would never do any of this by choice.

"How are you feeling, son?" Misako asked him. She pulled him into a hug. Lloyd whimpered. He felt dizzy, very dizzy. His head was cloudy, and for whatever reason he couldn't distinguish what had really happened from the swaying feeling he felt underneath his feet.

It was called shock.

"I... don't... know. I kinda feel dizzy."

"Sit down Lloyd," Pixal instructed, "I'll do a scan and make sure you don't have a concussion or anything."

Lloyd shook his head, "No Pixal, I don't have a concussion."

Pixal furrowed her brow, "But you are showing signs of a head injury, and you are clearly hurting. A scan is medically necessary to ensure you are healthy."

"It doesn't hurt there Pixal," Lloyd touched his hand to his heart, "It hurts here."

"I understand," the nindroid replied.

"You, you do?"

"Yes. You are mourning. So am I. Now please, let me do the scan. I need a purpose. I can't just sit here. I must do something." Pixal responded.

Lloyd gasped. Had circumstances been different, he would have found himself surprised with the depth of emotions behind Pixal's stoic voice and face, "Go ahead Pix. Do what you need to." Lloyd sat down on the bench beside Nya. Pixal scanned him.

"Nothing is wrong with your head," Pixal stated.

"That's a relief," Lloyd laughed bitterly.

"That's not funny," Nya whispered.

"Was he making a joke?" Pixal asked.

"It was a bad one, not the right time." Lloyd explained.

Nya looked at the floor of the boat, "Jay's supposed to be the one to make the bad jokes," she muttered. She traced her fingers around her ring hardly aware she was doing it.

Lloyd was aware of it though. "I'm sorry. That was really insensitive of me." When had Jay proposed? Why hadn't he noticed?

"Don't be. I just can't imagine life without them..."

"Neither can I. I am who I am because of you guys. Jay, Kai, Cole, and Zane taught me to stick up for what was right, what was good." Lloyd smiled weakly.

"I learned how to have a heart, to have emotions, and to deal with them from you guys. Zane taught me to love. Cole taught me to be strong. Jay taught me to have a sense of humour. Kai taught me to love life," Pixal added.

Nya didn't respond right away. Lloyd hoped he and Pixal said the right things.

"Turn the boat around!" Nya declared.

"What?" Misako spun her head, "It's not safe."

"When has it ever been safe?" Lloyd asked gruesomely.

"If we hide, Jay, Kai, Zane, Cole, and Wu die in vain. But Pixal and Lloyd are right. They're the reason behind why we are who we are today. Kai's been there since the beginning for me. You know I love Jay. And Zane and Cole couldn't be better friends. If we keep going, everything they died fighting to protect goes to waste. We have to turn around. We have to honor them and fight for them." Nya declared. Tears and rain drops dripped down her cheeks, and her body shook in the cold, but she stood firm.

"I'm with Nya," Pixal announced. She put her arm around Nya's shoulder, and the two girls shared a smile.

"I am too," Lloyd joined them.

"And so am I," Misako added.

Nya closed her eyes. Lloyd felt the boat lurch to a stop. Then, slowly the water pushed them in the other direction, toward Ninjago City, toward danger, toward everything they vowed to protect. His friends would not be forgotten.

I hope you enjoyed that. I'm glad I decided to keep going with this. More will be up eventually. I make no promises when though. Until then, God bless.
