(Clare's POV At Lunch)

'I couldn't get him out of my mind. The way his piercing green eyes sparkled when he talked. The way his scent seemed to intoxicate me I felt instantly drawn to him the moment I saw him.' I was ripped away from my thoughts when I suddenly felt a warm liquid covered me and my lunch fall to the floor.

"I am so sorry wasn't paying attention." Eli said, trying to clean up the mess.

"It-it's okay. It's just milk. I can get it out of my shirt." I said, grabbing a napkin and wiping my shirt with it.

Eli handed me another napkin. "I'm really sorry though. Here, let me make it up to you. My friend is having a party on Friday, and I would love it if you would come."

I smiled. "Thanks. Could I bring some friends?"

"Of course. Bring as many as you want." Eli smiled back at me. His smile's just amazing!

"I will. I guess I'll see you on Friday." I told him. I started to head to my table. As I made my way back to the table, I could feel my heart racing.

"Clare, are you okay?" Alli asked as I took my seat. Her eyes were bulging out of her skull and she was obviously worried. Her tone said it all.

"And what happened to your shirt?" Jenna asked, her tone matching Alli's.

"I'm fine. I just bumped into Eli and his milk spilled on me." I told them.

"Did he do it on purpose?" Jake asked.

"Of course not!" I exclaimed. "He was just not paying attention, that's all. He even invited me to a party on Friday to make it up to me."

I smirked, thinking I had won, until Jake raised a finger at me.

"You're not going." Jake declared. "I am not allowing you to go."

"Why not?" I asked him.

"Because I don't want you getting involved with the crap that happens at teenage parties." Jake stated.

I sighed. "Jake, I know you want to protect me from everything, but I want to go, and he said I could bring you guys." I added the last part to coax him into the deal.

"If he said we could go with her, I see no problem with going to this party." Jenna said. I smiled. Thank you Jenna for saving me when I needed you to!

Jake sighed. "Fine. We'll go to the party. But we are not staying there any longer than what we should be."

"Why not?" I asked him, hoping to get an answer.

"I'll tell you later." Jake said.

After Jake had said that I knew that Alli and Jenna knew what he was going tell me by the way he looked at me.

(At Clare's Home)

"Now can you tell me what you wouldn't tell me at lunch?" I asked, setting my bag down as Jake, Jenna, Alli and I walked into the living room.

"This weekend after the party we going to Vancouver." Jake said sitting down on the couch

"Why are we going there?" I asked.

"So you can see your castle." Alli said.

My eyes were about to pop out of its sockets. "Castle? I have a castle?"

"Well we do, or should I say 'did', until the vampires attacked the night you were born." Jake said.

"I know that part but why do I need to see the castle?" I asked

Jake looked at me in the eye, and I looked up to meet his gaze. "Mom and Dad left something for you. Something that you need to see for yourself."

'I knew that Jake always had a hard time talking about our parents. Even when I was little he would barely mention them to me but that didn't stop me from having nightmares about them.'

"Whatever it is, I can't wait to see it. But how are we getting there? Are we taking a plane, a bus, a car?" I asked

"None of those." Jenna answered. "We're running there just like how we did sixteen years ago."

"What?" I asked.

"I think it's time she learned the truth about what happened that night." Jenna said

"She's not ready." Jake said. "It will be too much for her."

"I want to know." I said firmly. "No more secrets."

Jake sighed. "Fine but I need you to relax because I am going to show you everything that happened that night." He extended his claws and stuck them into the nape of my neck

(Sixteen Years Ago Jake's POV)

"Mother I still don't think having this dinner is the best idea." I said as we made our way down the bouquet hall

"Jake, your father and I have agreed that having this dinner to establish a truce with the vampires is necessary." Helen said

"I heard rumors-" I started to say, but Helen cut me off.

"Jake, I told you that you shouldn't believe rumors." Helen reminded me

I sighed. "Fine, I won't. But I think you should still be on guard during this dinner."

Helen stopped to face me and smile, putting her hands on my shoulders. "I will be fine. I am the queen and your father is the king. During this dinner we are going to be surround by plenty of people that are very loyal to us." She then opened the door.

The moment that diner has started, everything went down hill. The vampires had spiked all of our drinks with mountain ash and wolfsbane making all of the werewolves in the room extremely weak and that was when the vampire started to attack us and Helen had went into labor and moments later Clare was born. With Clare in my arms, I made my way down the passage way.

"Is the baby okay?" Alli asked.

"The baby is fine but we need to get out of this tunnel right now." I said handing Clare to Jenna.

I didn't know where we were heading but I did know that we need to out of here away from the castle. It wasn't until we were in the wood that we stopped running when I heard soft whimper.

"Jake stop." Alli said.

"Shh..it's okay it's okay." Jenna whispered to Clare, hoping to soothe her.

"We need to keep going." I said.

"We don't have a destination." Jenna pointed out.

"We need to get away from here." I pointed out to her. "I think we should head east to Toronto. I have connections there it should be safe there safe enough to protect my sister."

Alli and Jenna nodded in agreement, and we all started running east, until we could finally see signs leading to Toronto.

(End Of Flashback Clare's POV)

"Oh my god." I said as Jake retracted his claws.

"The claw marks from that night can explain more of what happened that night." Jake said, taking off his shirt to reveal many scratches and bruises.

"Oh my god." I repeated.

"Some needed stitching to help them heal faster." Jake admitted. "They were all so deep. I can't imagine what else could've happened that night if Jenna, Alli and I didn't run with you in our arms."

There was one thing still on my mind, so I went over and asked. "After that night, did you go back?"

"I did once when you were six months old but our parents bodies were missing." Jake revealed.

My breath hitched. I was not expecting that.

"They were... missing?" I asked, my voice cracking a little bit.

"See? I told you that we shouldn't have told her!" Jake yelled.

"No, no, no, Jake, I'm happy you told me." I told him. "We have to go to Vancouver. I have to see what our parents left for me."

They all nodded, and then left a blanket of silence. But one thing was circling through my head.

What did they leave me in Vancouver?
