"Do we have to go back to that shitty place? Can't we just like... I don't know, go back to England and get all our stuff and move here? I mean for Merlins sake dad, I am not going back to a school that half the time its ok be my 'friend' and the other half to treat me like a fucking pariah whose touch will instantly kill you! Not willingly!" Alexandria slammed the door to her room in Sirius' face and locked it.
Natasha looked up from her book as Sirius walked into the room as he rubbed his temples. "Do I want to know?" she asked slipping a bookmark into place before closing it. Ever since the British ministry stooges and the MACUSA reps had left the redhead had taken upon herself to read up on the magical world. Some of the stuff astounded her but outside of the US it took almost all off her bodily control to not lose her stomach contents. Things like heads of family selling bridal promisary contracts for their daughters to men decades older than them, the horror of some magic types, the grizzly things that could be done to a person with magic; to call her morbidly shocked would undersell it majorly.
"Shes not happy about having to return to England. Neither am I really but its not like we have much of a choice in the matter. Even with the written guarantee of asylum from House Speaker Johanson good for a year theres stipulations that come with it and you know that" Sirius said dropping into the nearest chair to Natasha.
"So tell me precisely why you HAVE to go back" Natasha said with a skeptical eyebrow raise. "As far as I understand it you two don't have to do anything you don't want to. You could withdraw Alex from Hogwarts, withdraw every financial asset you both possess and transfer them here to the American branch of Gringotts and re-enroll her as a student here in the states at another magical school."
"We could but theres more to think about than just her education Natasha. I don't want this to sound like I'm insulting your intelligence but the political ramifications would be disastero-"
"It miraculously won't be any less disasterous when the heir of the Ancient and Noble House of Black & the Lady of the Ancient and Noble House of Potter is a married lesbian? Please pull your head out of your ass Sirius. As soon as it breaks word the papers are going to crucify her. When, and trust me its a matter of when, they crucify her in the papers shes going to react violently just like with bitchy Mary Poppins and her man servant threatened to hang you two for telling those MACUSA guys how behind the curve magical England is. Heads will roll, blood will be shed and Alex will be the one holding the bloody sword; we both know that is the truth" Natasha said with a scoff. "If you listen to Alex for a moment and consider taking the asylum deal you're not losing anything, you're actually gaining a lot. The economy, mundane and magical, are much stronger meaning the wealth you possess as the Head of the House of Black and the wealth Alex & myself share as the Heads of House Potter would exponentially skyrocket here. Her rights as a woman are more protected here than they are over there. Don't make me brow beat you Sirius, you're a smart guy. Act like it for once instead of like a horny teenager "
Sirius scowled at the last comment and fixed Natasha with a dirty look. "Ok fine, lets play devils advocate on me then. Our wealth skyrockets in the American economies, our rights are a hundred times more protected, her education becomes a millions times better and more up to speed with the world. Theres one bloody problem: we have to give up British citizenship and snap our wands from the UK" he said.
"Don't make get the damn newspaper to smack you on the nose. Be sensible! If this is about family properties under wards then your citizenship does not fucking matter. Do you think my reading has been willy nilly spare time boredom reading? Under British Wizengamot law set forth in stone and made unchangable by the Council of Thirteen that Merlin is said to have sat on, no wizard or witch of Her Majesties descent may be denied the right to the homes of their blood within the British Aisles should they find favor of a foreign body. Those who would try to deny a native son or daughter of their bloods homes shall be put swiftly to execution. I'm paraphrasing obviously but thats what this book" the redhead passed over a thick leather tome with a bookmark roughly halfway through it "says since it contains the full transcription of the Council of Thirteens laws verbatim. As for your wands? Who cares? Get a new one here" Natasha said.
Sirius warily opened the thick tome to the bookmark and read over the marked passage in full along with glancing to the picture associated wjth the texts. "Fine you have me over the barrel on the first point but our wands are a whole separate animal. A wizard or witch js granted one legal wand and-"
"American laws set by the MACUSA are different than the British Wizengamot in that matter too." Natasha took out a second book with two bookmarks at different points before passing that over to Sirius. "The first bookmark refers to immigrating witches and wizards where it outlines the process of citizenship. Among those steps is snapping your wand from your previous country of origin. Turning to the second bookmark you'll find the wand laws are radically different here. If you are dominant with one hand then you are allowed one wand only but for the small percentage of ambidextrous people, like me and Alex, you are allowed two legal wands but thats the fun fact. Three paragraphs in you see the one I highlighted? It makes reference that immigrated witches and wizards may buy replacement wands the moment their citizenship is legally accepted."
"Why are you pushing this so hard?"
"Because I want to see Alexandria happy Sirius and I know that England is not where shes happy" Natasha said bluntly. "Its been a month but like I told her myself I can't and won't imagine another day of my life without my Raven. Maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit here but I think.. I think I'm really starting to love her" Natasha said honestly as she let her hands drop. "Shes seen a lot of hurt Sirius, you know that better than me but even I know that shes damaged. I am too and I have no illusions or delusions about that. But this month has been... Freeing in a way I never thought I would ever feel with another. She makes me feel that theres still hope for the world after all despite how screwed up it is. Wounds I never thought were capable of being healed have begun to heal because of her. Sirius, Alex is an angel and if you truly love her you'd see this was the right thing to give hard thought. Just think about it." She stood and clapped him on the shoulder as she passed heading to Alexandrias room. "Raven, its me. Open the door" she said knocking on the door. When given entrance she pulled the younger woman into her arms and kissed the top of her head. "Lets lay down and nap alright? You know I'm on your side about skipping out on England."
Alexandria snuggled into Natasha embrace and nuzzled the redheads throat. "I know you are Nat... I just wish dad would see that we're safer here politically and otherwise, my quality of education will skyrocket & we" her arms snaked around tbe redheads waist embracing her tightly "won't be persecuted or look down upon like we would be in England for being married to each other" she said with a sigh.
"I think I gave him some things to seriously reconsider. All hope may not be lost yet my dark beautiful Raven" Natasha said with a soft affectionate undertone to her words as she led the younger woman to the bed, her foot kicking the door shut behind her cutting any view of the pair.
Back in England
Albus Dumbledore fumed as he was once more denied access to the Potter Fotune vaults, Potter properties and the one Black family property he knew of. His plans were going sideways and he didn't like it one bit. If he had been able to anticipate the chaos that followed the trial and execution of Peter Pettigrew & the subsequent events he would have snuffed the life out of Alexandria Potter long before then.
Fawkes gave the phoenix equivalent of a sneer to the aging headmaster before a rather dark idea came to its head. Sure it would prematurely put him into his next reincarnation cycle but it was the right thing to do and it would stuff it to the old codger. Swooping off his perch he stole the Sword of Gryffindor, which rightfully belonged to Alexandria Potter since she was the first to draw it since Godric spelled the artifact to respond to a True of Heart blood descendent only, and with a surge of magic that was as painful for himself as it was for Dumbledore he severed their bond. Now he had moments to focus on the trace he knew of the former boy-who-lived-but- was-never-a-boy-to-begin-with magic and flamed away as Dumbledore was reeling from the loss of a good chunk of his magic being ripped away from him along with the knowledge the phoenix gifted him over the many years suddenly disappearing like it was never there.
When Dumbledore recovered he noticed two things that made him scream in outrage. Number one was Fawkes missing along with all the magic he gained from the stupid bird. He couldn't track him either now that their master-familiar bond was severed by the stupid avian! Number two and far more angering was that Fawkes had stolen Gryffindors Sword. Where the bird went he had no doubt Fawkes went to the Potter girl and that made his blood boil. If the bird reached a stage where it offered her a bond and explained every lie he fed the girl since he first met her it would spell chaos he wouldn't be able to control. He had to act fast or the Dementor Kiss would be a mercy compared to the hell he'd be on for.
Vegas, Black family property
Just before the pair could lay on the bed a swirl of flames enveloped the air. Natasha automatically went into protective mode moving between the fiery orb and Alexandria as she drew a knife in each hand from her belt. Whatever was appearing could be bad news and she would make sure Alex was not hurt. Once the fiery orb died down and dumped ash, a baby bird & a sword on the bed she was stumped to why Alex would run over to the ash pile fawning over the bird like a mother hen.
"Fawkes? Is that you?" Alexandria asked picking up the phoenix hatchling. The squeaky trill made her laugh softly and smile a little as the phoenix nuzzled its head against her hands. "Its good to see you again too. I guess its that time for your cycle to start over huh?"
"Ok sorry but can you fill me in here? What the hell is a Fawkes, why did it appear in an orb of fire and why did it bring a sword with it?" Natasha asked. She was so confused in the moment it wasn't even funny.
"Fawkes here is a phoenix. You know, legendary bird of fire, born and dies in its own ashes? Loyal little bugger too, always been so kind to me haven't you bud?" Alexandria asked rhetorically. The squeaky trill made her laugh again as she set him down on a bedside table and carefully swept the ash off the bed into a bowl, who knows when you'll need phoenix ashes for a potion or ritual.
"So what is he doing here then?" Natasha asked peering intently at the little hatchling. It was fluffy and a bit portly like a mini thanksgiving turkey with red and gold tinted feathers. "I mean there must be a reason hes here now and he brought a sword with him."
"Hmm?" Alexandria made a sound of inquiry after setting the bowl down and nearly went slack jawed seeing the sword in question. "By the grace of... Nat, thats the sword of Gryffindor. The very same sword after drawing it out of the hat I used to kill the basilisk" she said with a stupidly shocked look in her eyes.
Natasha looked over at Alexandria before looking back to the saber looking type sword. Alexandria had used that sword to slay a monster snake? The phoenix hatchling preening its feathers had been the one to aid her wife by delivering the means to draw said weapon and kill the monster? "You're sure thats the same sword? It doesn't look like it would hold up to a centuries old snake monster let alone be able to kill one. No offense" she said with a healthy skepticism in her voice.
"Its forged of goblin steel and enchanted to be made even stronger. I can't tell you what most of the runes on the blade are for but theres one for keeping it eternly sharp so it will never get dull and the one inscribed on the guard is a catch rune to absorb toxins and other enchantments as well as spells to make the blade more lethal than it already was. I'm also pretty sure theres one on here somewhere to keep it from rusting as well considering this sword is centuries old but you would think its freshly oil dipped and cooled from the forge." Propping the sword carefully over the arms of a chair Alexandrias attention turned back to Fawkes. "Not to sound suspicous of you buddy but what are you doing here? How did you even find me? Did that ancient bastard send you after me?" she asked with a half-hearted scowl thinking of Albus Dumbledore, a man she once respected but now couldn't stand the sight or thought of after all he had done to Sirius.
Fawkes let out a squeaky trill and looked offended before shaking his head. Even if his former bonded had ordered him to track down Alexandria he wouldn't have done it even if it meant his permanent death. The formerly publicly perceived boy-who-lived had suffered enough hardships to date and he refused to heap another on top of the pile that was already far too large.
"So the fossil didn't send you, thats good I suppose. Doesn't explain why you're here or why you brought the sword of Gryffindor with you" Alexandria said shaking her head. A squeaky trill made her eyes roll before she picked Fawkes up and rubbed his head gently like a doting mother. "I suppose introductions are in order. Fawkes this is my wife Natasha." Seeing the tilt of the hatchling phoenixes head she rolled her eyes but smiled slightly at the cuteness of the gesture. "I guess to you she'd be my mate" she said before the tiny head bobbed in understanding.
"He can understand us?" Natasha asked parking her butt on the bed. "I mean, really understand what we're saying and all."
"Yeah he can. Contrary to most popular theories animals are a lot more intelligent than people credit them to be in both the mundane and magical halves of the globe. I mean theres a gorrila that can communicate with us humans because she was taught sign language and comprehendst it entirely well" Alexandria said sitting beside the redhead and offered him to Natasha. "Go on, she doesn't bite Fawkes. At least she doesn't if you aren't me"
Natasha cautiously opened her hands before the little hatchling phoenix waddled into her cupped palms. Lifiting the bird so he was eye level she took a closer look at him and was mildly surprised to see him staring intently back like he was trying to judge her worthiness. "Should I be worried that he appears to be looking into my soul for some reason?" she asked. She was used to having people stare through her and at her but for some reason the tiny birds stare unnerved her.
"I wouldn't be too worried. If hes giving you a penetrating stare hes probably trying to decide if you're worthy of me. If that is the case young man" Alexandrias tone took on a scolding note at this point making the phoneix look over "she is. Nat has been nothing but good to me. Shes sweet, gentle, supportive, firm with me when she needs to be... Shes good to me Fawkes, you don't have to worry about her hurting me. I trust her with my life and you know I would trust very few people with my life" she said tickling the phoenix with a single finger earning a squeaky trill laugh.
Warmth flutterered in Natashas chest as Alexandria defended her being good to the younger woman. Of course she was good to the raven haired girl, she was a sweetheart and an angel with a heart of gold; the last thing she would ever intentionally do was hurt Alex. "Now why would I ever hurt you my Raven? You are too important to me to do that to you" she said leaning over before stealing a kiss off Alexs lips, her lips tugging into a smile as the other returned it and the tiny phoenix covered his face with a wing.
Alexandria giggled softly at the rather childish action on Fawkes part after the kiss ended and kissed the phoenixes head lightly. "You appeared here to me for a reason so until you get to a stage where your magic can communicate it to me we're stuck with you. Get used to this" she stole a split second kiss off Natashas lips making Fawkes cover his face again "because she means the world to me, just slightly beating out dad, and thats going to happen a lot."
One week later- international arrival terminal, London
"I'm telling you this is a mistake coming back dad" Alexandria said shouldering her bag as they left the terminal. The flight back to London had been near silent between the party of four, Natasha opted to return with them and Fawkes who was safely hidden in an expanded pocket with the raven haired woman, once more aged to be of legal age and appearance matching her passport, knocking back a few drink and dozing with her face buried in her wifes hair. "I feel it in my bones. This is going to come back and bite me on the ass I tell you now."
"If it comes anywhere near to biting you on the ass, which is my job by the way thank you very much, it'll have to go through me first." Natasha gave a haughty sniff before it melted into an amused little smirk as she saw Alexandria blush a little as a passing couple smiled knowingly and laughed. "Besides, we have the contingency plan in place if things go south. Don't worry so much, as if I'd ever let anything happen to you Alex" she said wrapping an arm around the others waist.
"Alright alright, enougb of the PDA. Sheesh, some people don't like being reminded they're single" Sirius said with a grouuchy tone. "Natashas right though pup, the moment things go wrong we go with the contingency plan and zip it out & never look back."
Alexandria huffed and turned her gaze away with a pout. Her dad and wife were right that they had the contingency, an international portkey back to the US in the form of an inconspicuous bracelet no one would spare a second glance at that would whisk all three of them back to the Black Vegas property, but being ganged up on by them both was not fair in her mind. "Well excuse me for being a bit skeptical of this fucking country after all thats happened to me and my family here" she said with a bitingly sarcastic tone. A harsh growl from Sirius made her wince for a moment. "You know what I mean dad... To you, my birth parents, the shit Dumblefucks let happen to me and lead me into getting injured by.."
"I know pup but consider that you got Natasha with you now when you go back. If he refuses her into Hogwarts, he refuses you. If he refuses you then we liquidate all our financial capital to transfer to the American Gringotts and transfer the non-financials into a bottomless trunk. After that we activate the contingency and say goodbye to Britain forever, politically and socially speaking anyways. We've been over this" Sirius said flicking Alexandrias forehead lightly .
"Yeah yeah I know." Alexandria still didn't sound too enthused and leaned into Natashas side feeling the outline of dual wands hidden beneath the surface of the redheads jacket. It had been surprising to the three of them that not too long after letting Sirius into Fawkes being there that another incident like the redhead forcing the door closed with a motion of her hand happened. Deciding to have the redhead tested for magic under a Healer had revealed that somehow the influx of her magic to Natasha through the bond their rings and marriage forged had turned the other woman from mundane into a witch albeit a weak one. The Healer compared the core to a first year student at the national magic academy which while not very substantial in power wasn't anything to sneeze at or write off as insignificant either. The shopping that followed, after registering Natasha as a witch with the local MACUSA Wizard and Witch census Bureau, had gotten not just books to help the older woman begin to understand how to harness her new power and control but the wands now hidden on her person, one made of century old yew while the other was seventy year old ash but the cores were identical-powdered basilisk fang and unicorn heart blood.
"Just trust me Raven. We'll be ok, nothing and no one wishing you harm will get within distance to hurt you. I won't let that happen to you." Natasha leaned in kissing the top of Alexandrias head as she tightened her grip when Sirius grabbed her arm.
"You two I trust. Its this country and the political ass monkeys like Dumblefucks I don't trust."
A moment later after they were out of public sight the three of them were gone. They had no way of knowing at that moment every instrument linked to spells monitoring Alexandria broke and a violent magical backlash fell upon Dumbledore felling the aged man midstride as he exited the hospital wing.
September 1st, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Exiting the expresses cabin Alexandria, as she pointedly made a public outing in the Daily Prophet that the boy-who-lived angle that was believed to be holy truth was a lie and she was actually born a girl, saw the whole of the Hogwarts student body staring at her as she wheeled her trunk and Hedwig out with her. Beside her she heard Natasha scoffing at the attention and making belittling remarks in russian. "You promised to keep the remarks in your head babe" she said bopping the redhead upside the head.
Students close by screwed their faces up in confusion at the exchange. Their heroine, god was that a cosmic joke to slap egotistical gits in the face that Britains hero was a woman, was calling another woman babe? And just who was this mysterious redhead she was so close to?
"I've have more brain stimulating thoughts staring at a unplugged toaster than listening to the drivel listening coming out of their mouths. I mean, I know you said the lot of them were mindless sheeple but I think you undersold it by leagues and depths listening to it first hand Raven" Natasha said rolling her eyes.
As Alexandria went to rebutt the statement her eyes grew cross in anger seeing two apporaching forms. One was the unmistakeable form of Ronald Weasley, second hand ratty robes and soulless ginger freckles in all. At his side was the bossy know-it-all bint she had come to resent over the course of her time away from Britain, Hermoine Jean Granger. "Keep me from killing those two." Her finger jabbed at the pair less than twenty feet away and closing quickly.
"Harry mate!"
"Ronald! I swear you get dumber by the day! Harry never existed or did you not read the Full Access article she gave to the Prophet?"
Noting Alexandrias hand beginning to twitch Natasha quickly secured her free hand around Alexs and interlaced their fingers squeezing tightly in support. "Look, I don't know who or what you two are to my wife but yo-"
Ron let out a snorting excuse of a laugh at that. "Wife? Ha, thats funny Harry. I knew you were hot blooded like all of us guys. Willing to say anything to bag a broad" he said with mirth clear in his expression.
Alexandrias eyes darkened massively as Ron was lifted off his feet by seemingly nothing and held securely by the throat. "Ronald Billius Weasley... I have tolerated your srupidity for four years and I have had enough of your stupid shit!" The silence that followed was so eerie and undisturbed you could hear the unicorn herds prancing in the Forbidden Forest. "Harry Potter never existed. The spell was designed by my parents to make people believe I was a boy to protect me from ministry laws that destroy a female Head of Houses rights to be no more than a house slave and baby popping broodmare. This 'broad' as you put it is my wife and unlike everything you think you know, you don't know shit. The friendship we once had was strained and destroyed after you accused me of being a cheat & a liar to get in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Do not speak to me unless you actually decide to be awake in a classroom and we have to work together. Insult my wife again and I will break something of yours. Something you pride yourself on when in all reality your future spouse is in for nothing but disappointment. Nod once if you understand."
Ron nodded hastily before whatever force held him up let go. He scrambled away not caring about the amount of gawking stares.
"Alex I.."
"And you Granger" Alexandria turned her gaze to the bushy haired witch who recoiled in shock "that goes for you as well. No one likes a know-it-all and how I fucking dealt with you for four years astounds even me. You are the most self-righeous, ego-manical, authority cock blowing bint I've ever had the displeasure of knowing. Don't call me Alex either, no has the right but three people and you will never be one of them" she said with an acidic glare that could melt to the core of the earth. Seeing Hermoine run off toward a carriage crying made her smile and the majority of people back up. "Morgana above I feel a million times better with all that off my chest."
"You look it too Alex my beautiful Raven" Natasha said looking all too amused and proud of her wife before stealing a kiss.
Alexandria grinned into the kiss returning it happily with equal adoration.
"Alex!"
The two women broke the kiss hearing a female voice called the raven haired girls name. Alexandria grinned slightly and broke apart from Natasha catching Luna in her arms spinning the blonde around.
"Hey there gorgeous" Luna said with a playful wink and a peck to the older witches cheek.
"Hey there yourself beautiful" Alexandria said with a chuckle and tightened her embrace around the girls waist. "I can't begin to tell you how much I missed you over the summer Luna. I just wasn't in the right mind afte the tournament and then so much happened that I got.."
Luna silenced Alexandria with a finger to the lips. "Its fine Alex, I figured as much. You can fill me in later. So are you going to introduce me to the lucky lady I told you that you'd meet eventually or do I have to interrogate you for her name?" she asked with an amused smile
"Yes introductions would be nice I think since you two seem so comfortable playfully flirting with each other" Natasha said as she tapped her foor expectantly.
Alexandria had the decency to look sheepish as she set Luna down and let the girl go. "Sorry bout that love. You remember my friend Luna Lovegood I told you about, the blonde seer? This is her. Luna has been my first true through and through friend since my second year, her first year, her at Hogwarts. Shes like my best friend, little sister and confidante before I met you all rolled into one" she said scratching her cheek in light embarrassment.
"Little sister huh? Last I checked sisters didn't-"
Alexandria slapped a hand over Lunas mouth as a blush crossed the bridge of her nose. "You know as well as I do some bastard upper year spelled that mistle toe to trap people in place until they did so don't even go there. Besides, I have a type" she said looking over to Natasha who had a raised eyebrow like she was waiting for an explanation. "Ugh, fine I'll explain but first... SCRAM ALL OF YA FUCKIN VULTURES!" The other students broke free of the seeming spell that trapped them and vanished in a hurry. Once they were alone she launched into a brief explanation that the christmas season prior that she and Luna shared ONE kiss because of a jackass senior student spelling a mistle toe over the Great Hall entrance to trap the two students from moving until they did kiss. "Besides, like I said I see Luna as a dear friend and sister. Shes beautiful but not in the same way of beautiful I see you Nat" she said.
"I believe you Alex." Natasha let a little grin slip at the deadpan expression and accusatory glare leveled at her. "I got to keep you on your toes don't I? Besides, if I truly thought you that you had thought another better looking than me I would have ripped you a new one long before now" she said pulling the shorter raven haired girl to her side.
Luna giggled to herself at the scene. It was utterly cute and endearing to her to see Alexandria so absolutely in love & be loved back. Even if Alex didn't realize it yet she was sold on the redhead body(even if hey hadn't been physically intimate yet),, mind, heart and soul just as the redhead equally was on the raven haired girl. "As cute as this all is I still want a proper introduction Mrs. Potter" she said look at the woman Alex had called Nat.
Natasha looked at blonde girl and her grin went lopsided. Oh she had a feeling they would get along just fine. "Natasha Romanov-Potter but since you are like Alexs little sister you can call me Nat. When the three of us are alone. Otherwise its Natasha" she said offering Luna a hand and shook the dainty soft hand once it clasped her own .
"Agreeable enough. I'm only going to say this once an-"
"Luna, don't say what you're about to say because I've already had it said to me by her father a million times." Natasha let the blondes hand go and followed her to a carriage as Alex made a motion with her hand levitating their luggage, carry-on bags of books and her own shrunken trunk of supplies for years one to five hidden in a napsack, behind them. "The last thing I ever intend to do intentionally or otherwise is hurt Alex. She is the center of the world to me and there isn't a single part of me that could ever hurt her."
Luna blinked owlishly at Natasha and held up a finger to off the redhead. "I was going to say if Alex didn't warn you already don't get between me and my pudding" she said. "Why did you think I was going to tell you not hurt Alex? I may not be Oracle of Delphi but I have enough seer blood to have seen enough of Alexs future to see that you treat her as much of a queen as treats you. Hell, you two love birds from the clouded scenes I've seen of Alexs future you two treat each other like the Goddess herself given human flesh."
Alexandria blushed darkly and gave a silent swear she needed to talk to Luna about not saying things so bluntly.
"Ah, well you wouldn't be wrong. She is a queen, my queen." The stutter she got from Alex made Natasha smirk before leaning over and kiss the raven haired girl. It lasted no more than a moment but the quiet giggle from Luna made her raise an eyebrow. "Something funny little miss fortune teller?" she asked resting her cheek on top of Alexandrias head.
"Not funny per se but it makes me happy." Silvery blue eyes danced with light as the carriage began to move once door closed and Alex curled up automatically into Natashas side. "All I ever wanted to see was people happy together like my mum and dad were before she died in her accident. Looking at you two I haven't seen two people more in love with each other since my mum and dad. Considering all the hell Alex has had to suffer through and come out on the other side with someone like you adores her more than life itself, it makes my heart lighter. It makes me want to sing really but the last time I did I scared away the Jumbuck I was playing with back home."
"Luna..you goof." Alexandria smiled sweetly and kicked blondes shin lightly. "I am happy and you were right I would find someone who was worth fighting for. Far sooner than I imaginged." Emerald eyes looked up as the sweet smile melted into something softer, more loving as she leaned up and nuzzled Natashas cheek. "And you're right Lu, I do love her. I love her with all my heart and I'm never letting her go." The volume of her voice dropped just slightly but it was easily clear to all three of them.
"I love you too my beautiful Raven" Natasha whispered softly in Alexandrias ear before crushing the raven haired girl into her side so they were flush together and raining soft kisses down on her temple all the way down to the ticklish spot on Alexs neck.
Lunas light hearted laughter filled the carriage as the couple lost themselves in each other for the few minutes it would take them to reach the castle. The foundations of their relationship would be tested there but now was for moments of unrestrained love; the love Natasha and Alex shared for each other & the love she felt for her dear friend finally having life deal her a face card in the form of the redhead showering her with love
"You know I love you too right Luna?" Alex asked between soft bout of giggles.
"I know Alex and I love you too my dearest friend & sister in all but blood" Luna said with the softest of heartfelt smiles.
