Alright, here's the next chapter. I apologize for the grammar and comma splices.

Changeling plopped into a chair and allowed his head to fall back. This was why he didn't like shopping. It was nothing but walking and staring and walking and looking. Did he mention walking, cause his feet were crying.

"Star, please! No more torture."

Starfire looked over at her exhausted friend before sitting in the seat across from him and setting the six bags she was carrying on the ground.

"Perhaps I should mention to Boyfriend Nightwing about extending your cardio regimen. We've only been walking for three hours."

Changeling couldn't whip his head up fast enough as he pointed at Starfire.

"That's not fair! You flew for most of this trip."

"But can you not fly as well, Friend Changeling?"

That innocent smile did not belong on her face.

"Do not worry, Friend Changeling. You can have your rest. I shall go and get nourishment for us, and then we shall continue on our journey of winning Friend Raven's heart again."

As Starfire left the table, Changeling allowed his head to fall onto the table.

'Stop suppressing me.'

He had to stop himself from groaning out loud.

'Dude, I don't even know what you mean half of the time. What do you want now?'

'Why aren't you using your animal senses?'

This time he did groan out loud. It was like being on Jeopardy with this guy.

'What are you talking about? I shift into animals all the time.'

'I said senses! You're only using your animals for their physicality. You're allowing simple things to slip pass you. Even while trapped in your body, I knew there was tension between your leader and his mate.'

He rolled his eyes. 'That was one inciden-'

'You couldn't smell who sat beside Raven, you allow your leader to easily sneak up on you, and you didn't hear your name being called earlier.'

Changeling sat up and leaned against one of his hands.

'Yeah, okay. How many times did Starfire call me? Was it two times, or three?'

'She called for you twenty times.'

He sat up straighter at that. 'What?'

'Starting from your room, she called you three times. She travelled first to the training room with another two calls, the roof with four more, the bathroom with another three, and then she found you and called you another eight times before she smashed your game.'

'And…and I missed all that?"

When all he received was a low rumble, he leaned forward and dug his palms into his face.

What was wrong with him?

Was he always like this?

No. He used to be sharper. When he was on the Doom Patrol, nothing could get pass him. He was always ready. Even when he was still new to the hero job and he wasn't sure what animal he should be, he could hear the faintest pin drop and smell even the faintest of smells.

What happened to him?

"Friend Changeling, I have returned and I have brought with me many of the refreshers!" There was a slight pause that seemed to hesitate, before she seemed like she tried calling to him again. "Friend Changeling? Are you the alright?"

He moaned in response.

"Does it have something to do with Friend Raven?"

He felt as his wrists were grabbed and his hands were pulled from his face.

"Changeling, look at me."

He looked into the green eyes of his worried friend.

"I am afraid I do not know what is going on, but I know I can not help you if you do not do the opening up. I can help you with Friend Raven, but if you do not open up, that's all I can do."

There was so much concern in her eyes; he wanted to spill all that was stewing up in him.

She was helping him with Raven. Surely she would be a great help with this too, right?

No.

This was something he had to work out for himself. He mentally slapped himself and managed to pull what he hoped looked like a convincing smile on his face.

"Star, everything is fine. I'm just worried with Raven, you know. I don't even know where to start."

Her smile returned like a 100 watt bulb and she squeezed his wrist.

"That is why I am here!"

She grabbed his hand and her now ten shopping bags, how she managed to shop at four more stores in the time it took for her to get refreshments he wouldn't know, and pulled him to his feet.

And then she got right in his face with her 100 watt smile.

"I have the perfect plan for you."

Changeling felt a nervous laugh slip from him before taking a step back.

"Alright Star, I'm all ears."

She giggled and began walking, pulling him along.

"Well, first thing first, you must buy her the Gifts of Forgiveness."

"Uh, did you say gifts?"

He managed to fall into her footsteps and she looked over at him.

"Yes, gifts. You've hurt Friend Raven and it has not been the one time. I do not know how many it would take. Each person is different."

He rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand. "What should I get her?"

"I do not know."

He groaned and she smiled at his despair.

"This gift must come from you, Friend Changeling. You are the one who's done the messing up. The gift has more meaning when you choose it by yourself, without any help. But I can promise you that when you find the perfect gift, you'll know."

He sighed, "You're right, Star."

"I know."

She released his hand and began floating away from him.

"I shall take my leave so that you may have the privacy as you search. Once you find the perfect gift, you shall meet me back at the tower, and we shall cover it with the assortment of colorful paper and bows," and with that she flew away, leaving him alone in the mall with the other shoppers.

And his mind.

One thing at a time. A gift for Raven came first. He continued walking through the mall, looking at the several stores. He didn't think Raven would step foot in any of them, but there was one he loved.

The game store was in front of him with posters of new games and new lower prices. He was so tempted. He could feel the drool falling from his mouth. They even had a display and poster for the latest zombie video game, and it had nothing to do with golf!

No.

This was how he messed up things with Raven in the first place. He got easily distracted. It was with a heavy foot, but he managed to turn and walk away from the salivating displays.

He barely took three steps when the Beast spoke up again.

'She would look good in that.'

He turned his head and tried his hardest to hold back his blush. Sure, he wouldn't mind seeing Raven in lingerie but he knew that would be a terrible first gift. Even if the sheerness and the delicate lace patterns against her skin would look amazing on her, he couldn't get it for her.

But now the thought of her in lingerie was permanently stuck in his mind.

Damn Beast.

And it had the balls to chuckle at him.

With how fast he was trying to get away from the lingerie store, he would've passed the perfect store if it wasn't for his nose picking up the faint scent of Raven.

Well, it was more like a small fragment of Raven, but it was enough to stop him in his tracks.

He turned and looked at a small tea shop that seemed to be tucked away, even in such a big mall. It was probably because it was a big mall that it had such a small appearance. He opened the door and stepped inside. Aside from the cashier, he was the only other person. He smiled and made his way to the counter.

"Excuse me. I was hoping I could purchase some tea from you."

"Of course." The cashier smiled as she turned her body and waved at the wall of teas behind her. "Which one do you want?"

He let his eyes swoop across the wall.

"Uh…"

He hadn't the faintest idea.

'Use your nose.'

He stopped and took in a deep breath and exhaled. Then, he began sniffing. It was just as overwhelming. So many scents entered his nose at once, he almost reeled back. He scrunched up his nose instead and exhaled hard before trying again.

It was faint, but he found the scent that pulled him in from the beginning.

"Can I have some of that one, from the lavender container?"

The patient cashier nodded as she went to the back and returned with a canister with the same lavender label.

"Would that be it for you, sir?"

He looked around. Sure, the tea was good, but he felt like he needed to get something else. He eyes stopped on a tea kettle. Sleek, simple, delicate design, it was perfect.

He walked over to the kettle and picked up the small cup that sat with it.

"Does this cup come with it?"

"Actually, it comes with four. Would you also like to buy the tea set?"

"Yes."

It was perfect, and if he planned it right, he might be able to get into her good grace faster. He paid for the tea and the set and left from the store. He headed straight for the exit, blushing only once when he saw the lingerie again, and willing himself to sprint pass the game store.

He headed straight back to the tower.

No more distractions and no more excuses.

It didn't help that when he stepped inside the Tower's common room, the entirety of Titan East was standing there, without Arsenal of course, and the rest of his teammates.

"What's going on, guys?"

"That's what I want to know," replied Nightwing, never taking his eyes off of Bumblebee.

Bumblebee chuckled and placed her hands on her hips.

"Wow," she replied, "Raven wasn't kidding when she said she wasn't communicating with you guys."

Nightwing seemed to glare at her and she waved him off.

"Don't look at me like that. You guys were the ones who called her at the wrong time."

Changeling finally took a look at Nightwing and he didn't know how he missed the pent up emotion his leader was emitting. It was a good thing Starfire saw it too.

"Um, not to be the rude, Friend Bumblebee, for we are most grateful for a visit from all our friends, but if you have information from Friend Raven we would really love to hear it."

Mas y Menos looked as if they were about to take off and tackle Starfire, presumably with hugs, when Aqualad grabbed their collars and pulled them back.

"We talked about this, guys. You two are too old to be doing this. We're here on important business."

"Aqualad is right." Bumblebee crossed her arms and turned back to the original Titans. "Raven messaged us. She wants her pod of the T-Ship to travel back home."

Starfire gasped, "Friend Raven is returning?"

"Boo-yah! She's coming back home."

"Why can't she just teleport back?"

Leave it to Nightwing to ruin a good mood.

And that's Chapter 16. Please let me know what you think.
