Crossover Alternate

(Dani: Legend is listed in Profile. My profile is also where I will address specific questions or issues that readers ask about.
I do not own many of the Characters in this story though some are mine all the KNOWN characters belong to those who originally created them. Thxs.
Please also NOTE I write Alternate Universe (AU) stories whether they are crossover or not. The AU applies to ALL characters. Thus this will make them OOC to the original Story and I like it that way. So if you plan to comment that Akane is not like that sorry I write her like I like to. This goes for all the characters it makes the story more fun for me to write that way. Got to have some antagonist and some friends :D)
Chapter Eight
Akane walked up the stairs to her apartment. She knew she could take the elevator but she preferred to walk up. The furniture had been delivered the day before yesterday and she had spent that day and the following days putting everything where she wanted it. She entered the hallway to her apartment and head down the corridor to her new home for the next few years. As she opened her door and went in she through her mail on the small half round Queen Anne replica she put to the right door. She then put her keys in a small crystal candy dish she got for that purpose. To the left of the door she hung her coat on the brass coat rack. She had decided for coats instead of the closet for the time being.
She moved into her living room and sat down on her sofa she then stretched out and placed an arm across her stomach and the other across her eyes. She tried to relax but could not. She had heard some rumors at campus that something strange was happening something that was very bad but no one knew what. She sat up at the ringing of her phone and moved to it on her desk.
"Moshi Moshi?" Akane asked as she waited for a response.
"Hi Akane it is us!" The voice she heard that came through the phone made Akane frown.
"What do you want Yuka?" Akane asked as her eyes flashed red with anger and betrayal.
"Well we heard you were going to the main campus of the Tokyo University and we wanted to come over and talk about us going there also." Yuka's voice sounded chipper and upbeat but she would not let that fool her.
"Really so tell me Yuka, are you and Sayuri out of funds? Or does Nabiki want you to betray me again by having the two of you spy on me and tell her everything I tell you!" Akane did not wait for an answer the pregnant pause at the other end was all the confirmation she needed.
Akane slammed the phone back into the cradle then moved to her kitchenette to start preparing her evening meal. She had learned very quickly she was a horrible cook. Therefore, she had mostly frozen prepared meals. Though she had been practicing, she was getting a wee little better. She just needed to prepare things slowly and follow the recipe. Until she could make something eatable until then, it was frozen TV dinners for her.
(l(l(l)l)l)
Akane sat at her dinette set she ate her dinner slowly as memories of her frien...no her spies went through Furinkan High together. She slowly and mechanically ate her meal as the memories moved through her mind. As times she thought meant something to all of them rolled past her minds eyes. Her real eyes allowed the tears of pain to fall from them. Akane jumped at the ringing of her phone.
"Moshi Moshi!" Akane said as she rose and went to the telephone to answer it.
"Hi sis, it's me! Did you get a call today?" Nabiki's voice came over the phone Akane frowned at the lilt in her voice.
"Yes and I will thank you _NOT_ to give my number to your minions! I am surprised at you Nabiki after all you told me they were your spies! I don't want to talk to them or you! Give my number out again and I will change it and not give it to you or Kasumi if she insists on letting you have it!" Akane slammed the phone down hard as her hold on her anger relinquished just a bit.
Akane moved past the rest of her dinner and to the French doors. She moved onto the balcony taking her desk chair with her. She wondered offhandedly if she could eventually get a chair and small table for the balcony. She would have to wait and see how her finances go. She did take Nabiki's advice but went to an investment counselor that had no ties to Nabiki. Her college fund was now in a trust and she gets a monthly allowance that covers her expenditures and a little spending money. She sat down on her desk chair and stared out over the front gardens. Since it was getting late, in the season the lilac bushes had stopped blooming but the other flowers made up for its hibernation.
Akane looked back into her apartment and smiled at how it was nicely decorated. She used the dais as an office she was able to get everything from the scratch and dent store and save a bundle. Her desk was red oak in color though it was pressed wood it still looked nice. It had a file draw and two other storage drawers for necessities. The center drawer she kept some notepads and pens for taking notes. Her telephone sat on the upper right hand corner. Her desk sat against the wall on the left near the kitchenette. The dais was large enough she got an overstuffed chair recliner with a high back and a table and lamp so she could do her reading there. The chair was the color of soft beige with white eighth of an inch stripes making squares on their points as diamonds. Over top of that were large beautiful posies of a deep vibrant red and blue. There was also some green foliage. The posies however were sparsely covering the chair. The table was of the same color as her desk it matched almost perfectly. The lamp had a wrought iron base in an opened design that spiraled up to the lampshade of ivory. She liked the other tenants hung some drapes she found some on sale in the bath shop she got her towels and linens. The drapes went from ceiling to the floor of the dais and were plain in a sapphire blue to match the flowers on the chair.
She went back in and brought her desk chair she used one of the dinette chairs for the time being. She sat in her recliner it was tilted so she could easily look out the French doors. She then smiled as she stared at her living room. She was tickled the scratch and dent store had just got in several sleep sofas and loveseats. She would have liked a sofa-sized sleeper but she had to consider the space issue and she did not need one that big. Therefore, she settled for a sleep loveseat but was quite happy with it once she got it home.
The loveseat was a solid sky blue the dust ruffle at the bottom was embroidered dark sapphire blue flowers and leaves. It had two matching chairs, which she bought they were high wing backed chairs they too had the small ruffle at the bottom that was embroidered. She decided against a coffee table as moving it to pull out the bed could damage the floor. She had gotten two end tables that sat on either side of the sofa and were octagon in shape. The tables had a large door covered storage compartment and a drawer in each. The color was a honey oak color. The lamps had a single two-inch diameter rod that looked as if someone had made bubbles to make the gold rod. The lampshades were white and were trimmed with blue stripes. She used the octagon tables to hold her pillows and an extra blanket. She was able to get them both on one table leaving storage in the other.
Akane looked toward her little kitchen a frown on her face, as she still could not cook. She did feel she was getting better though. The food looked disgusting but it was starting to taste good and did not make her sick. Her eyes landed on her half eaten dinner. She rose to clean up the TV dinners she chose the brand that gave her the reusable plastic plates this way she could take her time in getting good dishes. She moved to her dinette set and smiled. It was a light blond butcher-block top with flaps on the two longer sides. They could be raised to make a table large enough for four. The chairs were made of a white oak and had a low back. That had an upholstered back and seat of slate blue. She had an oak microwave cart to the right of the table it had a light yellow marble top where the microwave sat. There were two draws and an opened storage area on the bottom. On the back, it had an oak hutch for storage of fancy serving dishes or knick-knacks where she had neither.
As Akane wiped down her dinette table, a knock came at her door. She frowned, as she told no one where she lived. She then sighed as she figured Nabiki had her followed by some of her minions. She was not going to be blackmailed or spied on she was going to put a stop to this right now. She put the dishrag over the faucet to dry and moved toward her door. She left the chain on until she saw whom it was. She frowned as she opene the door.
"Kasumi how did you find me...oh never mind what do you want?" Akane growled as she spotted Nabiki behind Kasumi and Tofu.
"I know we should have called first but we were nearby and thought we would drop in and see your apartment." Kasumi gushed as she tried to look in through the small opening.
"The truth is Kasumi you are always welcomed here Nabiki is not. She is trying to get her spies back in my life and I have been notified by my financial advisor she has been trying to alter the trust _I_ set up with my college fund." Akane glared at Nabiki who when Kasumi turned and glared at her had the decency to look guilty.
"I see, Nabiki why don't you go to that little coffee shop we saw down the street. Since you have already started your usual antics I am afraid I agree with Akane." Kasumi's frown shocked both her husband and sister.
"I promise to behave sis I really do!" Nabiki said as she scowled at her little sister.
"I don't believe you Nabiki you paid Yuka and Sayuri to be your spies and gather information you could sell. When you could not move in with me because of the single occupancy you gave them my telephone number and told them to get back as my friends." Akane snarled as she glared daggers at Nabiki.
"NABIKI! You tell me you did not do that to your sister!" Kasumi admonished, as she did not know her, middle sister had paid her people to be Akane's friends for information she could sell.
"HEY! All she did was wreck the place I needed to get money for our colleges and to fix the place!" Nabiki lowered her voice when a tenant getting off the elevator glared at her when she shouted.
"But you don't need to now she is living here!" Kasumi pushed Nabiki for more information.
"I...I know I just wanted to control her like always." Nabiki admitted then turned to leave.
"Fine I will let her in this once but she is not permitted back here again!" Akane said as she felt she had gotten her pound of flesh.
Akane closed the door and then opened it to her family. The tour did not take long since it was a studio apartment. Kasumi loved the balcony the most especially since the flower fragrance was coming into the window. Akane told her about the lilac bushes and how there were red and white lilacs along with the normal purple. Kasumi being Kasumi went around and looked at everything. She frowned to find out there were no dishes and very few pots and pans.
"I eat mostly TV dinners there are some really good ones out on the market now. I get the ones that come with the reusable plastic plates. I have been working on my cooking and have gotten it down to, at least tasting descent. It just looks gross." Akane said with a small sheepish smile.
"Why did you take the apartment up on the eighth floor?" Nabiki asked as Tofu as his wife had done snooped around.
"I don't take the elevator very often. I go up eight flights of stairs for exercise." Akane told her middle sister as Nabiki took a seat in one of her living room chairs.
"Where did you get the furniture and how could you afford it?" Nabiki asked, as she looked at all the nice furnishing, she did not notice the smirk on Akane's face.
"There are several scratch and dent stores not far from the train station. After comparing it with a regular furniture store it was way cheaper even compared to the sale items." Akane said as she watched as Nabiki started looking for the imperfections.
"Man you did good sis I still, haven't found the dings!" Nabiki said with a proud smile.
"Come little sister we want to take you out to dinner!" Kasumi said as she pushed her toward the front door.
Akane was going to say no but the pleading in Kasumi's eyes made her change her mind. She laughed lightly as she moved to her French doors and closed then locked them. She then turned off the lights except for the lamp in her 'office'. She grabbed her coat, purse, and keys and let everyone out. As she locked her door, the others moved toward the elevators.

Kalya moved through the construction. She was happy that it saved them some money to reuse parts of the building and the building inspector said it was ok after the contractor wanted to use new. She was surprised it only took three weeks to get the four building into one. Ryoga and she helped were they could since they both learned to make repairs to the dojo they had trained. The Isis Warriors and elders all had opinions on the inside of the building. They all finally worked it out to every ones liking. The main floor would mostly, be banquet tables since that was something they needed the most as others joined them. There were closets and storage rooms all around the parameter as well as bathrooms and four shower rooms.
The door going out to the back of the buildings into the courtyard had closets for practice weapons. At the opposite end of the newly joined building sat a large commercial kitchen. The kitchen was, blocked off by sliding according type wood doors that opened from the center. There were white boards and bulletin boards on all opened wall space to hold the maps and for working out strategies. Kalya moved through the empty building as the electricians were putting the lights in the main floor. She wanted more decoratively functional chandelier lights along the edge of the room. Over the center were large fans with tulips light kits that went down the center of the room in rows of three across. The fixtures helped to take off some of the harshness the larger sized made the room feel. They also had enough room to put four large wood burning fireplaces to keep the gas bills down.
She moved toward one of the two staircases on the sides of the buildings to go up and see how the other seven floors were coming along. The contractor Fuquay-san stopped her. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow as if she knew why she was being blocked. She frowned slightly then looked up at him with a stern expression.
"I am just looking around I would like to see what is happening on the other floors." She told him as he shook his head.
"There are no other floors yet we are laying the trusses and the heating and cooling guy will be here shortly to run duct work for the new furnace and air conditioner systems. It is too dangerous to allow anyone to go upstairs until we get plywood down for the floor base." He told her as she shrugged and tried to move past him.
"I am a martial artist I can move around just fine." He blocked her path again.
"That may be so but the building inspector says no!" Eiko told her as he pointed behind her.
"He is correct as long as there is no plywood down for floor only the builders are to be up there. Well me too since I need to inspect as each phase is being worked and completed." Kalya turned and frowned at the inspector as he moved up the stairs past her and Eiko she watched as the two men moved on up the stairs.
Kalya watched for a few more moments and then turned to leave she was met at the bottom of the stairs by Ryoga and Frosta. They both smiled at her as she reached the bottom stair. She turned to see them giving her 'we're sorry' look. She however had not given up completely on seeing what was going on. She smiled back as they headed outside.
"Won't let us up there yet huh?" Ryoga asked, as he too wanted to see how the changes are going.
"No against code until the subfloor of plywood is laid." Kalya said with a sad sigh.
"That is not going to stop you though is it?" Frosta asked with a chuckle.
"Nope not in the slightest, since I can fly up there they can't stop me from looking in the windows." When she reached, the outside she grabbed Frosta around the waist and took off to look into the windows on the upper floors Ryoga right behind them.

"I say you all need to go to school! You need to be able to support yourselves after this is over!" Nodoka said as she wagged a finger at some of the younger members of the Isis Warriors.
"We want to go but it doesn't make sense right now!" Dolphin said as her eyes showed she wanted to go to college.
"Dolphin is right mom! This is not the time to split our concentration between school and Seth!" Kalya said as she entered the community room of the apartment building with Ryoga and Frosta.
"You all need to have a good education!" Nodoka was not going to give up this fight to easily.
"Look mom we can't afford to spend money on college and not be able to show up because of Seth! In addition, what happens if the people at college could have saved lives, but was unable to do so because they were in classes? No, we cannot afford to lose our strength. I however do have a compromise." Nodoka looked quizzically at her daughter but she was staring at Dolphin.
"Go on you found out about it first!" Kalya smiled at the periwinkle hair beauty.
"Well when we have free time we all go to the library to read and practice the speed reading and writing Kalya has been teaching us. You remember Nodoka you and Ric went with us a few times." Dolphin said to the woman with pleading eyes.
"Yes I remember, dear." Nodoka said with a confused expression.
"Well I was talking with the librarian and she told me a lot of colleges now offer students who can't afford or do not have the time to attend classes the ability to take them on-line." Dolphin said as she pulled out several flyers and handed them to the elders and Nodoka.
"This might work." Sapphire said as she looked through the booklet.
"It says here the lectures are recorded so you can view them at anytime and all the assignments are listed and the due dates for them." Mascara continued as Nodoka and Snow Pea looked at some of the other schools that offer on-line classes.
"This way if they _don't_ want to take college courses they don't have to but if they do it is at our time not Seth's or the school." Kalya said as she smiled happily at her mother who seemed to like the idea.
"Very well though I still think everyone should look into this option it will be their choice." Nodoka relented then she looked at her daughter.
"What about a computer?" Nodoka asked the grinning reincarnation of Isis and Kalya.
"Well now that you all agree to the how we are going to get an education. I and those who wish to take college courses are going to the computer store and I will get them all laptops." Kalya said as she felt the depression of Ryoga behind her.
{"You to bud! You can get a GED on-line and then sign up for college classes we both will need to get our GEDs."} The Isis Warriors had taught themselves to direct their thoughts and emotions to specific team members when they needed to as Kalya tried to calm the depressed boy.
"Alright so when will you go shopping? I think we should get one for the elders and I think I will get my own. It might work to send one back to the village so we can communicate better and Cologne can bring back brother's cell." Nodoka said as this seemed like a more viable idea.
"We still need to figure a way for them to charge it." Ric said as he entered the community room hearing the conversation through his link with Nodoka.
"What about a generator or something?" Ryoga asked but not sure, that would work either.
"Well that won't be necessary. The village has had several visitors from the port where Ric docked. They have agreed to help get electricity to the council building we don't want the whole village to light up. So we can do a computer it would just be put in there." Snow Pea said as she continued through the pamphlet.
"Yes and we might be able to use these for those still in the village." Mascara said as she held up the brochures.
"Well as long as _all_ members of the village can take courses." Kalya told them with a raised eyebrow.
"Huh...Uhm well yes the remaining council has already decreed it." Sapphire said as she smiled sweetly or tried to smile sweetly but it reminded everyone of a shark on a feeding frenzy.
"Yeah right mother Sapphire!" Kalya looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Now go get the laptops we can't do to much until we move to our building so you can at least start your college careers but remember this is a nicety you are all here to fight Seth!" Snow Pea told them with a glare at Nodoka as she looked about to contradict her.

Cologne walked around her home her face sad and crest fallen. She had finished packing to join the Isis Warriors in Japan. Though there were to be no Musk or Phoenix as of yet, they wanted to come after the compound has been completed. Herb however was not happy to hear he would have to share a room, as they needed to make efficient use of all available space. She sat down on her bed her trunk opened in front of her as she looked out her window toward the council chamber. Though she could not see it from her home, she knew where to look toward it. She rose when the knock came to her front door. She rose and headed toward it.
"Yes!" She opened the door to see Rouge standing there.
"It is time I and the others feel maybe if she hasn't listened we can try one more time and that it would be best if I and Lotus go with you." She said her eyes told her she felt the pain she was feeling for if Shampoo did not listen this time she would for all intense, and purposes die at Jusenkyo.
"Thank you let us go and get this over with." Cologne said as she followed Rouge down her front steps she looked up and found Lotus waiting for them.
"Let us go!" Lotus said as she flanked Cologne on her left while Rouge flanked her on the right.
(l(l(l)l)l)
Shampoo stood by the window of her cell she still felt she should have been chosen as the New Isis. However, after the nightmares, she had been having with not only Isis but also Aker, and the cat, like women she was not sure if she could do the job. She had sensed the deities were trying to get her to understand because of her great great grandmother. They would just prefer she be thrown in Jusenkyo and get on with the war. The magic was gone from the Isis spring and she shuddered at the thought of herself being the one to replace the soul. She spotted her great great grandmother along with Lotus and Rouge. She raised an eyebrow as to why the council sent her rivals with her. She moved away from the window as the pain on her grandmother's face was tearing her heart out. For the first time she could ever remember, she looked her three hundred plus years.
Shampoo sat down on her cot her feet firmly on the floor her back straight and her hands clasped in her lap. She stared at the door and waited for the arrival of the three elders. She would hear them out then tell them of her decision. The passed two days she had done nothing but think about what her grandmother and the others told her. She understood now so she would tell them how she was going to handle the fact the goddess chose a lowly male.
Shampoo came out of her retrospective when she heard the key in the door, as it was unlocked. She watched as the door opened and the elders entered. Her grandmother entered first followed by Rouge then Lotus. The guards brought in another chair for the third elder. She raised an eyebrow evidently; they planned to take as much time as they could to get her to change her mind. Once they were settled, the guard left the cell, shut the door, and locked it.
"=Well Shampoo we are here for your decision=." Cologne stated surprising Shampoo that they did not try to convince her any longer.
"=Come now girl you had four elders trying to get you to listen but you refused. Cologne gave two final days to think over what you were being told we are not here to argue with you. What have you decided, are you fighting with us in this battle or against us=!" Lotus snarled as she was beginning to hate the prideful arrogance they were guilty of fostering in their warriors but she knew that was the only way they knew to train them.
"=I see very well=." Shampoo said with a nod, as she took a deep breath and began.
"=First no matter what any of you tell me I will always believe that an Amazon and that I as this generations best warrior should have been chosen by Isis to be the new warrior=!" Shampoo was about to continue when Cologne stared angrily at her granddaughter and began to rise and leave the cell.
"=Wait Cologne she is not finished=." Rouge said as she placed her hand on Cologne's shoulder and pushed her back into her chair.
"=No I am not finished. Over the past two days as I tried to sleep or meditate, I have been bombarded by Egyptian gods. The goddess showed me if I were put to Jusenkyo, I would forever be a male peacock. In which case Bastet, Sekhmet and Aker would see to it I would die horribly=." The elder's watched her with grim faces though the elders could feel the pain and fear coming from Cologne.
"=They made it clear these attempts was because of the elders. They would prefer I be sent to Jusenkyo. It will be hard for me to serve under a lowly man turned female but I am an Amazon and the best. I will be able to control my urges of anger. Though I will refuse to marry Mousse I will not challenge any of the Isis Warriors until the war is over=." Shampoo finished and waited for their response.
"=That is not good enough girl=!" Rouge snarled at Shampoo as her eyes narrowed to tiny slits.
"=She is correct! You are bound to Mousse and you know the law in that respect you _cannot_ do anything about it unless he wishes to release you! He is probably thinking on this much but I think he may have you locked up to teach you a lesson. It is obvious that you refuse to learn it=." Lotus said as she shook her head.
"=Granddaughter the edict does _not_ end when the war does. We can't have contention in the village with all the warriors fighting to get one of the chosen. The warriors have already made their choice and many by other Isis Warriors. If any chose an Amazon without threats or force then fine we will agree. Otherwise your attempt to force a marriage will end in the same way=!" Cologne told her granddaughter as she frowned as Shampoo began to glow red purple.
"=WHY MUST I MARRY STUPID MOUSSE! HE IS A DAMAGED MALE AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN BANISHED=!" Shampoo shouted as she jumped to her feet only to fall back onto the cot after Cologne press a few pressure points.
"=One _YOU_ no one else attacked him! Two it was unprovoked! Three it was in front of THREE elders! Four of which one was his great great grandmother and the leader of the council! Five _YOU_ lost! Six he evoked that law that put you in limbo! You have no choice unless he relents and allows you, your freedom=!" Lotus told Shampoo as she glared at the three elders.
"=Remember girl all the Isis Warriors fall under the goddess' protection and Mousse is viciously protected by the new Isis and the other warriors. If you try to harm him in anyway _they_ will retaliate=!" Cologne told her granddaughter.
"=We ask again Shampoo what is your choice=!" Rouge snarled at the paralyzed girl her red plum eyes wide with horror.
Shampoo stared at the elders before her they were going to force her to marry that stupid blind idiot. She could not kill him, well at least not until the war was over. However, if what they said were true the goddess and her chosen warrior would protect him. She just had to figure out a way to marry him off to someone else. Maybe an outsider would work to take her place.
"=I Shampoo of the Joketsuzoku Amazon choose to fight today and forever more for the honor and glory of my village and my sisters=." Shampoo finished though she would have preferred to stand she settled for trying to lay with dignity.

Kalya, Frosta, Minuet, and Pewter entered the war room of the apartment building. They had heard the radio as they entered the door. They walked over to the easel that held the bulletin board that held the map. Kalya looked at Ric as he wrote down the new incursions' though Ric seemed more confused than angry.
"Is something wrong?" Kalya asked the man that was to be her stepfather and, she was secretly hoped a better father then Genma.
"Yes I am very confused over the past day or two there have been minor chaotic incidents in places where there are no chaotic nexus or nothing large enough for Seth's minions to attack. I don't know what he is up to but there must be a reason for these burst only at the ley lines." Ric said as he started to put the information on the public bulletin board.
"Maybe I can help explain that." Ric turned and saw Thyme enter the designated war room everyone else behind him.
Kalya smirked as Ebon moved closer to Minuet. As Mousse, was standing closer to Pewter. She tried not to grin outright as Ryoga took a protective stance near Frosta. She noticed that no one noticed the unspoken claims but her. She would let their relationships grown on their own but she hoped they did. She looked at Sean and wondered if he would find an Amazon he could love or maybe someone else.
"I have noticed the incursions and had to do some research. Since Isis has given, Saamin and I access to her library. We both have been searching her tomes on Ley Lines and Chaotic Nexuses. We found something that might explain this." Thyme said as he and Saamin came forward both looking at their notes.
"It seems that when the shards were removed from Jusenkyo he lost his ability to manipulate the ley lines themselves. That was what the magic was helping him do. He was going to use the magic of the shards literally to tie the ley lines that led to the nexuses he tapped into and then pull on those lines to relocate the nexuses into the valley making the valley a ground zero if you will. With all that chaos the valley would become one giant nexus that he and all his army could walk right through." Saamin told them as he took Thyme's map of ley lines he used to explain about the shards and hung it up next to the Amazon's map.
"We feel he is experimenting. He cannot use Jusenkyo it would be a waste of his energy because there are very few ley lines at Jusenkyo and as you can see a very small nexus. He was using the magic to try and boost the power of its nexus so he could tap into the natural chaotic power of the valley." Thyme took his turn in explaining what they had found.
"So he is trying to see if he can still work the ley lines then set them up here to make a massive break through with all of his army instead of some now and some later sort of thing?" Tarragon said as he moved closer to the maps, as he took his finger and followed the ley line where Seth was experimenting toward first Jusenkyo then Nerima.
"Yes and it seems the ley line he is using does not go back to Jusenkyo or Nerima it goes here to the other large chaotic nexus in Tomobiki." Thyme said as he watched as Tarragon followed the ley line to its end.
"Are we in the wrong place?" Sapphire asked not thinking they were but was now unsure.
"No Nerima is the larger of the three large nexus. We think what he is doing is checking to see if he can still tie the ley lines together and if he can he will link Tomobiki and two in Juuban along with the fiver medium nexus that lies between Tomobiki, Juuban and Nerima together. Then when he is ready to open the portal to free himself and his army he will do it by pulling all the chaotic energy into Nerima and use it as ground zero." Saamin explained as they all listened and stared at the maps.
"Is there something we can do to stop his ability to create a super nexus?" Sage asked as he stepped closer to look at the two maps.
"We are still looking the goddess has about ten books on the ley lines and nexuses we are only into the first three or four. We are making this our top priority while Snow Pea and Shen are looking for books to help Ebon with his Druid magic so he can use it during the battle. Since Druids have used the ley lines in their practices he might be able to help we are not sure yet though." Thyme said as he looked a Kalya for confirmation of the division of duties, he smiled slightly at her nod.
"Ok continue to put the attacks against the ley lines on the map. This is his first attempt without Jusenkyo he may not be able to do it and we hopefully will not have to worry about him coming through a giant nexus here. We however think he may be able to do as he planned in Nerima that he wanted to do back home. Though according to Ric there was a noticeable increase in chaos where there once was none." Saamin said as he looked earnestly at the Isis Warriors.
"He may not be able to tie the ley lines together or not as many as he needs. Therefore, that means he will have to rely on the chaotic nexuses that he already has linked. These however are limited in how many and how often he can bring through his army." Thyme told them as he studied the new incursions on the map.
"Can we block him from attempting to tie the ley lines together? I hate this waiting around." Kalya said as she frowned as she looked at the maps.
"We are not sure we were on our way back to the library to do more research when we spotted everyone heading this way. We will head back and speed up our search. Your speed-reading and writing techniques are a big help we just can't read them as fast as you can yet. However with the world hanging in the balance we prefer not to we don't want to miss something that could help." Saamin told them as he and Thyme headed out with Shen and Snow Pea behind with them.
"I hope they find something if Seth can make a super nexus here this little burg may never recover." Ric said as he frowned at the maps.
"I don't think it will survive Ric." Kalya said her face showed the pain of the perceived loss of life.
"Should we let the authorities know the new developments?" Ryoga asked as an image of Akane flitted across his mind to be followed by his parents and siblings.
"Mascara and I will take care of that child. We also need to let the elders in the village know as well. Cologne or Thorn should be on their way depending on how it went with Shampoo." Sapphire watched Mousse out of the corner of her eyes to see his reaction at mentioning Shampoo.
Sapphire smiled slightly as it did not seem to faze the once blind boy. The elders were quite shocked to learn before the war party left the village that Mousse no longer had problems with his eyes. It was then that Dolphin told them what really happened and that Lily forced Mousse to keep quiet about it or face retaliation. They left Lily to Marigold and Jasmine. She was glad that with his new sight came an even greater wisdom. She started to believe he kept her in limbo for all the torment she put him through to bolster her own self worth. Especially since each time he sought out someone that would love him, she would break it up with hopes of something happening between the two of them.
Sapphire's eyebrow shot up as Pewter moved next to Mousse, she then wrapped her arms around him from his left side and gave him a hug. She rested her head on his shoulder as she also stared at the maps. Sapphire could see her mouth move slightly but what she said to the boy she could not hear. She smiled inwardly as Mousse pulled her in front of him and hugged her tightly. She did not know if it was love but she knew Pewter had always liked Mousse and that she hated the way Shampoo refused to allow him his own life until she found her own Airen. Many on the council did not care for Shampoo's antics especially her grandmother but Cologne refused to make her stop. She will have to now or Isis will do it for her.
Sapphire watched as he and Pewter left each still with their arm around the other. It will be interesting to see how the spoiled little brat would take the news that she was still in limbo while Mousse looked for a new love that would love him back. Her smile grew, as it seemed her clan might inherit Mousse if her great, great granddaughter and Mousse joined in marriage. The remaining of the people in the room turned with confusion and shuddered at the sound of maniacal laughter from Sapphire.

Cologne waited in the council chambers for Shampoo to pack so they could leave. She frowned she really did not want to take Shampoo with her. She feared the vision from Isis and the other gods would come to fruition if she did not get Mousse to release her. She was tempted to make her stay here but she did not want to take the chance of her causing more trouble. A rough shaking of her body pulled Cologne from her thoughts. She looked up to see Cinnamon next to her.
"=There is an update coming through the Isis Sphere the other elders have been summoned=." Cologne nodded and moved to the sphere where her husband was busy coping down everything he took the information and put it on the map.
"=Cologne here, what is happening=?" Cologne picked up the notepad and pencil from the writing table placed there for taking notes. She began to write down what she was being told.
As Sapphire, gave her report, the other elders and Shampoo entered the council chambers. Shampoo glared at her grandfather from behind her grandmother their relationship was probably the cause of her current treatment. Sapphire explained everything Saamin and Thyme had told them and that they and Snow Pea and Shen were now back in the library going through the rest of the tomes to see if they can stop Seth from using the ley lines to pull all the nexuses he has access to into the ones in and around Nerima.
Sapphire also explained that the complex is almost finished it was taking longer because of the extra three floors so Kalya had paid to have more workers to get it done quickly so they could move in more quickly. She would call when the complex was ready for additional warriors. It should not be any longer then another two weeks. They are working diligently. Kalya has taken to making sure they get a catered lunch for all the hard work they have been doing. She also said that if they had access to a decent kitchen, they would make the food themselves. The council chamber filled with laughter.
Sapphire ended her report and the council turned to seeing off Cologne and Shampoo. With them, they took extra healing herbs for Minuet along with additional weapons though there were similar items in Japan they felt why waste money on items they already had. As they headed to the seacoast and their ship, with Happosai and four other Amazon warriors joined them. They ran through the trees toward the seacoast going at a speed twice as fast as the one Dolphin used to bring Nodoka and her party to the village. They had reached the coast in half a day. The warriors followed their elder as they headed to the docks and their transport to Japan.

Genma sat on his cot he had to get out of this cell he had to find Ranma and make him marry a Tendo. His retirement depended on it. He knew he had no skill but he had the knowledge well the basics anyway. He had been trying to remember his training from his master and the techniques he taught Ranma. When he was alone in his cell, he ran through the katas in his mind it was like trying to slice through fog to remember them. When he tried to do them, the fog became a brick wall. He finally gave up in frustration, as he could not reach those katas when he needed to practice them. He knew he had the strength and speed he had honed in himself during Happosai's training and that of his son well not as much Ranma unless he had to chase the boy down.
He had decided he would try to break out. He just had to remember his ability to jump down from rooftops was no longer valid. Therefore, he waited. He laid, down on his cot and waited the guard would be coming shortly to do a bed check. Once he realized he could not use his art, he would resort to brute strength. He had been able to pull the bars from their position in the window. He then put them back until he had collected what he needed to survive until he could get to Tendo and make him see the schools could still be joined.
Genma quickly rolled over, closed his eyes, and began to snore lightly. He was always fast to fall into real sleep. He listened to the jingling of the keys of the guard to tell him how close he was to his cell. He next, just laid, down on his cot and faced the cell door. He knew the guards loved to flash the lights in the faces of the prisoners to wake them up. They however stopped doing that to Genma for once he was asleep the only thing that woke him was food. The guard walked by and still flashed the light in his face just in case he got a rise out of the large man. He frowned and moved on thinking of another way to wake the prisoner just to aggravate him.
Genma smiled as he opened his eyes slightly and listened until the keys could be heard unlocking the cell door at the end of his block of cells. He listened for a few more moments as the keys jingling slowly disappeared. He got up quickly and pulled out the knotted sheet rope. He had been stealing sheets whenever he got the chance. He took his homemade rope to the window and slipped it around the only bar he left intact. He slipped the sheet around the bar and let it fall to the ground. The rope was just long enough, folded in half to reach the ground. He missed by only five feet a jump he could make safely.
He removed the window bars and crawled out the window keeping a tight hold on the other bars. Then as he hung from the remaining bar, he quickly replaced the bars to the window. He smiled viciously at the looks he imagined on the guards faces as they tried to figure out how he got out. When he replaced the last bar he then climbed down his sheet rope (Dani: No complaints please this 'does' work Mythbusters proved it did along with a toilet paper rope and hair rope. Though, the last two are a bit impractical). He jumped the last five feet then reached up and gently pulled the sheet from the stable window bar. When the rope landed at his feet, he picked it up and headed toward the parameter of the fenced in the courtyard.
He had made his preparations earlier and had already fixed the fence so he did not have to climb over it. He stayed to the shadows and reached a section of fence under a guard tower that had a small section, missed by the searchlights. There had also, grown a large bush just outside the fence. As he, became aligned with the fence in the shadows. He waited for the searchlight. He knew the light did not reach the corner in the wall. He waited for the light to pass then he ran across the yard to the blind spot. He hunkered down at the fence and removed the section of fence he had broken to facilitate his escape. He pushed his sheet through first under the bush its bright white color visible to anyone looking or not. He then crawled through the opening. Once he was through, he crawled into the bush and again cleaned up around his exit. He removed all his footprints and body trail from sliding through the hole in the fence. He then replaced the fence piece and reattached it so it did not look as if it had been cut.
He hunkered down and looked toward the tree line some two hundred yards from the fence. This was going to be the most dangerous part as it was open ground from the bush to the trees. He had watched the night guards and tower guards carefully he knew when would be the best time to make a run for it. His first trick was to wait for a moonless night. He next decided he would follow behind the search light as it swept the area before him until it went close to the trees then he would break from his chosen blind spot and jump into the trees. He waited his nerves on edge as the guards walking point passed his hiding spot. He knew the light was coming next. He then gathered up the sheet. He stuffed inside is bright orange jumpsuit. Then he waited and watched.
He spotted the search light coming from his left it was doing a back and forth motion from the fence to the trees as it moved down the fence line. He smiled and waited, as it drew closer. When the light came to the fence ten feet from the bush Genma ran out as the light moved from the fence and got in behind it. The brightness of the light obscuring what was behind the light.
Genma was getting nervous it was taking longer than it should. Well that was how it felt. He kept a tight rein on his nerves and moved behind the light. He knew once the light met the tree line it would move over to the next segment and head back to the fence. That was when he would move into the trees. As the light and Genma met the trees, he waited for the light to move to the right. It slowly started moving in that needed direction and he stayed just outside its glow and as he planned, jumped into the bushes.
As Genma's body pierced the bushes around the trees he tucked and rolled to a stop ten yards into the tree line. He then slowly got to his hands and knees, then crawled to a large tree trunk and hid behind it. He then peered out at the prison yard and saw the light as it continued down the fence. He smiled, as he was able to accomplish this without his martial arts. His evil grin turned to a frown as if it were not for Ranma shirking his duties he would not have had to do this at all.
Genma ducked back into the trees and waited, as the guards would be coming down the space between the trees and prison any second now. He did not want to move until they had passed. He knelt down low to the ground and watched for the guards. As a movement caught his eye, he focused on it. He smiled. The guards passed in front of his hiding spot he had timed everything perfectly. His smile turned to a frown when he remembered he forgot to wipe away any footprints leading from the fence to the tree lines. He watched as the guards passed the bush. He smiled as they kept going. When the guards were gone, he began to breathe again. He then moved deeper into the woods just as if the gods smiled down on him it began to rain and if he did leave any footprints, they would be gone by morning. He bit down on a knot in the sheets as he changed to a panda in an orange prison jumpsuit. He stared at the ground his human footprints were being washed away leaving his panda prints to confuse the guards.

The sun slowly rose over the city of Nerima all was quiet as the residents started to rise and prepare for the day ahead of them. Tendo Soun was up early and had taken to walking early in the morning. His life was a lonely one now. His daughters had deserted him to that awful woman. He strolled silently into the park and walked slowly around the lake. When he reached the far side of the lake the portion closest to the grove of trees he was brought from his introspection by someone calling his name.
"TENDO!" The shouted whisper caused Soun to stop and look around.
"Over here, my old friend!" Soun turned toward the trees and saw a wet Genma peeking out from behind a tree he had 'found' some hot water to change back.
"GEN...!" Soun was cut off with a snarled whispered shout from Genma.
"QUITE YOU WANT THEM TO FIND ME!" Soun stopped and stared then he noticed the orange jumpsuit and hung his head sadly.
"I can't help Saotome Nabiki would throw me out of the house and you back in jail!" Soun said quietly as he turned to head home.
"Tendo wait!" Soun stopped and turned toward Genma he saw as the big man waved for him to follow.
Soun watched as Genma disappeared into the trees. He wanted to follow his old friend maybe even help him but it could cost him his right to have a roof over his head. He was far too old to live in a tent in the woods. He however did follow Genma he felt he owed him that much. It was not hard for Soun to follow his old friend the neon orange jumpsuit stood out like a sore thumb. When he caught up with Genma, he was in a small glade huddled under a thick layer of sheets.
"Saotome old friend what is going on? What...How did you get here?" Soun said as he sat down next to his old training partner.
"I escaped I had to know did the master find Ranma!?" Genma asked putting as much worry and fear in his face as he could fake.
"I don't know Saotome he has not come back!" Tendo told a crestfallen Genma.
"If anyone could free Ranma he could now I fear the Amazons may have destroyed him." Genma hung his head using his hidden hand under the sheets, he pinched a sensitive area using his nails to force tears from his eyes.
"What are we to do Tendo old friend? If Ranma was here he would free me from the lies my wife has fabricated!" Soun patted his friend on the shoulder he wanted to take his friend home but Nabiki would not allow it.
"I wish I could take you to my place old friend but I will tell you what. I will go home and get my old tent and camping gear for you to use. I will also stop off and get you some clothes to wear. I think I should get you jeans a flannel shirt and boots. If I get you a gi it might make you more recognizable." Soun told the crying man who stared at him Genma's eyes widening with confusion but he nodded.
"Now stay here I will be back in an hour or two." Soun quickly left the grove and Genma through off the sheets he followed Soun out of the woods.
He arrived at the edge of his cover in time to see where he was. He smiled malevolently as his old training brother moved quickly out of the park. He moved back to his 'camp' his laughter filled the woods around him. He knew exactly how to manipulate those around him. He had learned that lesson the fastest and the best from his old master. He crawled back under his mountain of sheets and waited for his friend and patsy to return.
(l(l(l)l)l)
Genma watched as the sun began to set. He frowned at the beautiful reds, oranges, pinks, and purples. He was hungry and cold he wondered why Soun had not yet returned. He jumped slightly at the rustling of the trees. He quickly took his sheets and hid in the trees opposite of the noise. He crouched low and watched to see who would enter his little campsite.
"Saotome are you there?" Soun looked around confused did he come to the correct glade did someone found Saotome and turned him back into the authorities.
"I am here old friend what took so long." Genma said as he exited the other side of the glade's tree line and moved toward the center of the glade.
"Kasumi and Nabiki came for a visit I had to make up a lie to explain why I had my camping gear out. I told them I was thinking of getting rid of it since I don't go on training trips any longer. I had packed the clothes I got you in the knap sack before they got there so they didn't know about those." Soun said as he took off his backpack and handed it to his old friend.
"I hope the clothes fit they belonged to Kimiko's brother he was about your size maybe a bit taller." Soun said as Genma rifled through the backpack looking for the clothes.
Genma's eyes opened wide as he pulled not one set of clothes of four. There were two pairs of faded blue jeans, a pair of black jeans that looked brand new, and two pairs of cargo pants. There were then several pairs of long thermal underwear to help him stay warm. There were two flannel shirts one a red background the other blue. There was a nice thick pull over cardigan sweater of black with a 'V' neck. The last was a button down shirt. He also found a really, nice brown leather jacket. He then looked again and found a pair of dress loafers and a pair of leather biker boots. He pulled out the boots and found a half a dozen white cotton socks and three pairs of black cotton socks. He also found some bath supplies and a couple of towels and washcloths.
"Thanks old friend this will be great!" Soun smiled at the fact his friend appreciated what he was doing for him.
"Here let's get the tent up so you can get out of this cold. I was not able to bring blankets this time but I stopped at the store and got you at least one real warm one I will bring more tomorrow." Soun said as he pulled the bedroll and tent off the bottom of the backpack.
He and Genma put up the tent then the escaped convict went inside and a few minutes later came out in a pair of faded blue jeans a set of the long thermal underwear and the red flannel shirt. He also had on the biker boots with a pair of the white cotton socks on inside. He sat down and smiled as Soun handed him some hot tea and a bowl of ramen noodles. Soun then sat down two large shopping bags one held the blanket and more ramen noodle packets and a couple of pots and pans. The other bag had more noodles, dried meats, and vegetables.
"Now make this last Saotome I cannot afford to supply you with food! Nabiki watches my spending like a hawk now and if she finds out I am helping you I will be here with you!" Soun said as he rose to his feet to head out.
"You are leaving." Genma asked, as he wanted to try to get more out of him.
"Yes Nabiki is coming back to the house tonight so I have to be there or be forced to lie to her and she is a hard one to lie to." Soun said as he walked out of the woods with slumped shoulders and a head hung low.
Genma watched him go a sad frown on his face then he forgot about all that was said, and began eating everything Soun brought him. He was starving. He could 'find' more food later on but for now this would do. Once he finished, he reached inside the tent and pulled out the orange jump suit. He frowned as he held it up. He was going to through it on the fire but thought better of it as it might smoke and call attention to him. He got up and headed into the woods he came out a few minutes later brushing off the dirt on his hands and the little that got on his clothes.
"Now let's see if they can find that damn orange monstrosity. That boulder will keep it safe for the maggots and worms." Genma pulled out the blanket and crawled into his new tent.
He laid out his pile of sheets and rolled down a portion of the top to make a pillow. He laid, down on the bed sheets and covered up with the blanket. Soun had bought a king sized blanket for him so he folded it in half and was toasty warm all night.

Happosai stood on the bow of the boat. His gaze watching the bow as it spilt through the water. However, he was not really seeing as his mind was far away. He was confused he had been a pervert for fifty years and now that he drank water from the 'Spring of Honorable Man' he was not. He was not sure he liked that. That was what was confusing him. He was still wanting to stea...rescue all the little darlings but now he was able to control it better. The problem was if he allowed himself that perverse pleasure, he would once again lose his beloved wife.
"=I will talk to you=!" Happosai looked up to see his great great granddaughter.
"=I am not a village male girl show me the respect I am due as your grandfather or leave=!" Happosai said as he turned back to stare into the ocean.
"=You deserve no respect=!" Shampoo growled as she reached out to turn Happosai around to face her only to find him gone.
"=I will talk to you girl when you behave more like a warrior instead of a spoiled _brat_=!" Happosai said from behind her.
Shampoo spun in time to see Happosai bounce off toward the stern of the boat. She glared at him in anger as he was nothing but a male and was to do, as she demanded. She started after the man her grandmother called Airen but she would never call him grandfather. She was half way to the stern when her path was blocked by Cologne on her staff. Her grandmother raised an eyebrow at her granddaughter's rage.
"=What is wrong granddaughter=?" Cologne asked as she noticed Shampoo's angry gaze was directed toward her grandfather.
"=He Who Shall NOT be named refuses to talk to me! He shows me great disrespect=!" Shampoo shivered as Cologne's eyes narrowed but inside she was happy as she knew her grandmother would set the old pervert right.
*WHACK*
"=OOWWW! Why did you do that? Did you not hear me he is not treating me as a warrior should be treated=!" Shampoo growled as she rubbed her head from the incoming staff.
"=He is your great great grandfather the creator of the School of Anything Goes and the savior of the entire council! You will show him respect and _not_ treat him as you do the village males! I will not have it do you understand=!" Cologne was back on her staff nose to nose with her granddaughter.
"=But grandmother he has cost me my status! The other warriors will not show me respect because I am his granddaughter=!" Shampoo whined like a three year old having a temper tantrum.
"=He is _my_ Airen you will show him respect or return to the village once we land! How do you think you would be treated when you are refused the honor to fight for the goddess=?" Cologne growled as she moved her face closer to Shampoo's confused and horror filled face.
"=Now go to your cabin and stay there until I say you can leave! While you are there, think on your attitude as of late! The council has had it with you warriors and your arrogant pride. Especially our heirs who think because they are our heirs they have the right to treat others like scum=!" Cologne walked away leaving a conflicted Shampoo standing there to stare after her retreating form.
"=Looks like this Generation's best warrior just got put in her place=." The mocking tone from behind and above Shampoo wafted down to her.
Shampoo turned to see two of the four warriors that came with them glaring at her. Her beautiful face turned into an ugly scowl but her beauty still shone through. She decided they were not worth her time and headed to her cabin amidst their laughter. As Shampoo walked toward her cabin her tormentors forgotten, her mind was on the confrontation with her grandmother. She had never seen her so angry. She did not understand why she protected that old man he was never there when she needed him. He was banished from the tribe because of his perversion. Shampoo entered her cabin. She did not turn on the light but instead went to her cot and laid, down. She put her hands behind her head and thought hard on these new developments.

Akane walked down the streets of the business district looking at a piece of paper with an address. Kasumi had called and told her a carpet store was having a sale and she might be able to get the area rug she wanted. Akane was angry when Kasumi told her Nabiki was going t try and get an apartment in her building. Akane knew what she was doing and before she left, she went to talk to the apartment manager. It was a short meeting and very decisive. As Akane paused in front of a store, the memory came back to her it made her both angry and happy at the same time.
(o)(o) FLASHBACK (o)(o)
*Knock Knock*
"Come in." Akane opened the door to the manager's office. She then poked her head through the door. She spotted Jubei-san looking for her folder of rental agreements again.
"It is just me Jubei-san may I talk to you?" Akane asked as the woman looked at her, as she smiled and waved her inside.
"What can I do for you Tendo-san?" The woman asked as she pointed to a chair hoping this new tenant was not here to complain already.
"Jubei-san I was just talking with my older sister and she told me my other older sister is thinking of getting an apartment in this building." Akane began as the woman perked up.
"That is wonderful tell her to come by and talk...!" Akane cut her off quickly before she called Nabiki to let her in the building.
"You do that and it would be the worst mistake you ever made." Jubei-san looked skeptically at Akane.
Akane spent the next fifteen minutes quickly explaining the things, Nabiki _had_ to due to support their family since their father refused to honor his responibility. She explained that if she lived in this building she would have the apartments bugged and would be blackmailing the tenants. Akane explained it would not take Nabiki long to probably find something she could blackmail either the building or part of the income from her. Akane stressed she loved her sister but she moved to Tokyo to get away from her and her father's antics.
"I see, thank you for telling me. I will have to allow her to visit if you wish but she is not permitted to stay here." Mrs. Jubei told the Tendo girl.
"I don't want her visiting me either well at least not without Kasumi." Akane told her landlady.
"Very well if she calls I will refuse her requests for an apartment." Jubei said as she and Akane stood up.
"Oh if she pushes just tell her we talked she will understand. Here this is what she looks like if she just shows up." Akane said handing a picture of Nabiki to her landlady, wanting Nabiki to know she was the reason she could not rent an apartment here.
"Thank you Tendo-san." The relieved building manager said as she was worried Tendo Nabiki would cause trouble to get into the building.
(o)(o) END FLASHBACK (o)(o)
Akane shook herself from her memories and smiled as she had found the store she wanted. She knew Nabiki would be calling as soon as she tried to rent an apartment in her building. She was ready for her and if she threatened to go a legal route, she had gathered enough evidence to back up her claims of Nabiki's yakuza like tactics that if she persisted she would put an end to her dreams of being a CEO of a major corporation. She entered the store and wrinkled her nose at the musty smell.
As her eyes adjusted to the cool dark interior of the store, she spotted several bright yellow signs with big bold red letters that stated 'SALE' on the items near or under it. She moved into the store and began to look at the area rugs that were on sale she did not want a large one just one to place in front of her loveseat and maybe a bit wider so she would not have to put her feet on a cold floor. She found several she liked but as she looked closer, she saw they were stained. She did not mind damage goods but not damage that was as blatant as these, stains they would not work for her.
As Akane continued through the store, she began to find more rugs and these were undamaged. The problem was she did not like them very much. She kept hoping as she moved to the other sale tables. She finally reached the last sale table and was disappointed as she did not find anything she liked as of yet. She was folding back the rugs that were on the last table until she paused about halfway down. She smiled as she looked closely and found it in very good shape. She pulled the rug out of the stack and headed to the register. She liked the price and the rug. The old man behind the counter rolled the rug up tightly then wrapped it in brown paper and tied it at each end and in the middle.
"Thank you very much!" Akane said with a bright smile as she paid for her new rug.
"You are welcome young lady." The old man said with a small smile back to her.
Akane picked up her rug threw it over her shoulder and left the store. She was happy that Happosai's blocking of her martial arts did not affect her stamina or strength. The man was surprised that such a dainty young woman would have such strength. As Akane exited the store, she looked around to see if there were any other sale signs in the stores around the carpet store. She shrugged, as there was none. She turned to go home when five of the most beautiful women she had ever seen in her life exited an antique store. Two of them drew her attention the most. The white haired woman and the one she swore had garnet colored hair.
Akane watched as they turned and walked away from her. She followed them for a bit and noticed they headed down a street toward the harbor. She watched as they entered a ten-story building across from a large building being worked on. She moved on passed the street not wanting them to accuse her of spying though she was. If she did not have the rug, she would go and see who they were. She however, needed to get back home, as she had to get ready for her first elective class in the morning. She moved quickly to the train station and caught her train home her mind was on the five women that she had seen. Their grace of movement told her they were martial artists. She wondered if she could get them to train her. She had been doing very well in controlling her anger lately.
Akane sighed as she paid for her ticket then boarded her train for Tokyo. She took her seat and leaned the rug next to her against the wall of her compartment. She then watched as the rest of the passengers boarded the train. She waited for them as they found seats. Once they were all pretty, much settled the train pulled out and headed toward her new home her mind still on the white haired girl and the garnet haired girl.

"Kalya did your mom and Dolphin say, why they didn't want to come with us?" Minuet asked her friend as she smiled at the rest of her new fast growing friends.
"Not in so many words but I think mom and Ric were looking for some alone time as was Dolphin and Uncle Hayashi. I do hope there will be some weddings coming up soon." Kalya smiled goofily as they left the antique store.
The small group headed home. There was Kalya, Minuet, Frosta, Meran, and Pewter. Meran when leaving the apartment building had begun shifting to her Isis Warrior alter ego since that body did not have wings. She did like the form but she had to keep changing out of the 'hero' costume. Kalya had been looking for a way for her to change the outfit when she changed. She had asked her Isis-momma and she said there should be a spell somewhere in her books. She would go looking for it later at night when she could not sleep.
"Kalya, I think we have a visitor." Pewter whispered as she nodded her head behind her.
"Oh she is probably just curious after all the four of you are very very attractive and exotic looking." Kalya said with a giggle.
"If she follows us to the building we will stop and ask what she wants." Kalya said as the group turned down their street to their temporary home.
They noticed as the person following them stopped at the entrance to their street but did not follow them. They noticed she was carrying a large bundle over her shoulder and figured she would probably want to get home to get rid of it. As they entered the building, Meran turned and watched as the girl walked off toward the train station. Meran watched her until she could not see her any longer.
Meran's Isis form stood five feet ten inches tall her white-pink hair darkened to a dove gray with a tinge of the pink still in it as it went to just below her hips. Her bright raspberry eyes darkened to, almost black burgundy, and became more elfin as they changed to large almond shapes. Her heart shaped face became leaner and more oval, in shape. Her athletic body filled out a bit and became more sensuous and lithe. Her clawed feet and hands became more human in their appearance. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a yellow tank top she borrowed from Nodoka. On her feet, she wore battle slippers, as she could not yet get use to regular shoes.
"Kalya when do you think those modified kimonos will be done." Meran asked as she headed to the apartment building so she could get out of the clothes she was wearing, and revert to her true form.
"The tailor said in about two weeks we did order quite a few of them. However, they will work well for us when we change. I have already found a spell to protect them from damage when we fight. I have found several we might be able to use to force them as what you where when you go Isis. However, we still have to decide if the rest of us should use those alter egos when fighting Seth. You Meran and Niitmin could use your true form." Kalya said with a smile as she gave the Phoenix girl a one-arm hug.
"Yeah that is true. I just hate having to change out of that dress every time I have to change to leave the building." Meran said with a huff.
"You don't mind changing when you want to go out." Pewter asked thinking she would hate that if she were a Phoenix and had to hide the fact from the world around her.
"I don't like it no. But Nodoka-san brought up a valid point a girl and man with wings might bring the attention of certain people who would love to dissect us to see how the wings work and if we are more bird then human." Meran answered the young woman with a shudder.
"We wouldn't allow that to happen, Meran and neither would Sage!" Frosta told Meran as she gave her sly wink.
She giggled as she spotted Sage, Mousse, and Ryoga heading toward them. The three boys came up to the girls and stared confused as Meran was blushing profusely as her friends were laughing. The three boys narrowed their eyes and looked between the five girls. Their expressions finally changed from displeasure to confusion as none of the girls would or could tell them what was so funny.
"Hey guys how did it go." Sage asked as he came up to Meran and took her packages from her.
"Not bad we got Meran some basic outfits she can wear for now. We all decided on the altered fighting kimonos just to make a statement." Kalya said with a wink.
"They won't be ready for a couple of weeks though." Frosta said with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Did you see anything that would work for us?" Mousse asked as he shuddered at what the men's 'hero' costume was.
"Yes we also ordered you all kimonos. We are having them altered into battle kimonos as well. I got them to match the color of your element auras. Well as close as I could get them to match." Kalya said as she pulled out her mom's cell phone and scrolled through the pictures.
"Here these are what the guys kimonos look like. Is this ok?" Kalya said as she showed them the pictures.
The young men gathered around the reincarnation of the Isis Warrior. She scrolled through each kimono to show them the colors they were and explained the alterations would be very similar to the women's kimonos. The women's would have shorter fronts and the back would go just to the ankles. She also told them that the women would be wearing kung-fu pants so they would be a little more modest. The men looked and each made the same comment about their new 'costume'.
"Can we wear them even if not in our Isis forms?" All three said at once.
"Sure I don't see why not they do make a nice formal wear. I have almost got the spell figured out that we can use to change out the original costumes. The spell should also work for quick changes when needed as long as the clothes are in subspace. Isis is checking on them for me." Kalya told them as they nodded and headed toward the building for the evening meal.
"Did mom, Ric, Uncle Hayashi and Dolphin get back?" Kalya asked the three men.
"Yeah they returned a few minutes ago. Shen-sensei, Snow Pea, Saamin, and Thyme came back from the library not long after they returned. Niitmin and Tarragon have been going over their medical scrolls in an effort to cross train each other. Oh, Minuet they wanted to know if you wanted to join them. They know you have to get the elders ok to train them in Amazon techniques but since they were sharing they thought the elders might agree.' Ryoga said as he followed Sage and Mousse into the community room.
"I will talk to them after dinner. I am sure they will since we are gaining other information we don't have." Minuet's eyes shone brightly at the thought of training with the Musk and Phoenix healers.
"There was also a message from the village Cologne and five more warriors have left the village and should be here at any time now." Mousse said as Kalya turned to face him with worry.
"Shampoo is one of the warriors." Kalya asked as her brow furrowed.
"Yes and I think though she has agreed not to attack me she will try by any means necessary to get me attached to someone else." Mousse said as he looked at Pewter out of the corner of his eyes.
"I see do you really love her that much Mousse." Kalya asked as she looked at Pewter whom she knew cared for Mousse but was not exactly sure if she loved him.
"I don't know any longer. I know if I force the marriage she might kill me." Mousse said with a sad frown.
"Then Isis would kill her Mousse! You are not Isis' general just for this war you _all_ in a way belong to her. We are all her children. We don't stop being her generals once we beat Seth." Kalya told them as she heard Isis' voice in her head agreeing with her words.
"Thanks Kalya that means a lot to me." Mousse said as he hugged his 'sister'.
"As it does to us boy!" The group turned to see the three elders standing there with contemplative looks on their faces.
"We will tell Cologne when she arrives of the status of all the generals Isis selected and make sure Shampoo understands if Shampoo harms _any_ of the warriors of Isis she will not live to take one step from those she wronged." Sapphire said as she smiled at Mousse.
"Yes it seems we will have to extend our edict. We cannot have a civil war for the warriors of Isis. Though Mousse you had beaten Shampoo before the full extent of what was happening was known so your claim to her still stands." Snow Pea said as she moved toward the group of friends.
"However if you decide you wish better for yourself you may end your marriage since it has not been consummated." Mascara said as she tried to figure a way for Mousse to marry her great great granddaughter Lash.
"Thank you elders I will think long and hard on my options. I will however not decide until Shampoo arrives. Kalya taught us a 'True Seeing' spell and I may use it to determine if I am correct in my assessment of Shampoo's actions toward me." The three women nodded at the wisdom he had at such a young age.
"You will be a great help to Dolphin when she takes Jasmine's place on the council Mousse your wisdom is very strong in one so young." Mascara liked him more and more for Lash.

The days moved slowly for the warriors of Isis. Cologne and her party arrived a few days after the impromptu meeting in the common room. She was surprised at the announcement that Mousse was Isis' warrior, as well as her child as are all the generals, and any harm to him could spell the death of the attacker and their entire village. Shampoo paled as she realized if she did not get him engaged to another person and soon she would be his wife.
The group worked to get the new arrivals furniture for their rooms that would be moved to the compound when it was ready. Furuya-san told them they were just waiting for the final inspection. They finished well before the due date and the elders agreed to give him and his people a large bonus once the building passed inspection.
As the group made plans to move to the compound, Shampoo made plans to marry Mousse off to one of the other warriors that was there or came with her and her great grandmother. However, she would have liked to get him engaged to Perfume or even Dowel they were not here. An evil grin crossed her face as the two warriors' bulging masculine bodies and features crossed her mind. Maybe she could find some horrible Japanese woman she could get him to marry. She would have to wait and see. She was not going to marry some blind fool goddess' adopted son or not.

Ric worked feverously as the reports on the radio came through he frowned, as Seth seemed still to be able to pull the ley lines into what he needed to open a portal as large as what was at Jusenkyo. He jumped when he felt a soft warm body lean over him and wrapped her arms around him. He felt the love of the person for him and he smiled as Nodoka kissed his ear.
"That bad my love?" Nodoka whispered into his ear.
"Yes Seth is pulling more ley lines in but not connecting any more nexuses. He must be almost ready to open the nexuses here." Ric said as he stood and turned and wrapped his love in his strong arms.
"That may also mean he might try a different location with the nexuses he already has." The two lovers turned to see Saamin, Thyme, Snow Pea and Shen standing in the doorway.
"Please summon the other Isis Warriors." Snow Pea asked as the four entered the apartment's common room.
"What is wrong have you found out something?" Ric said as Nodoka telepathically summoned the other Isis warriors.
"Whenthe others arrive child. Has the map been updated yet?" Snow Pea asked as she looked at the map.
"No mine is updated let me update this one while we wait for the others." Ric turned to the map and with the help of Saamin updated the Amazon's map of ley lines.
They heard the voices of the other warriors as they just finished. There were doors shutting from different areas of the building as the Isis Warriors and anyone with them when Nodoka summoned them came into the common room. They looked at the map of ley lines and saw it had been updated with new information. The last to enter the room was Mascara and Sapphire. They moved toward the map for a closer look.
"Ok Shen-san, Snow Pea now that they are all here did you guys find something?" Ric asked as he turned to the Isis Warrior in charge of scholastic team and the elder assigned to the scholastic warriors.
"Yes Thyme if you please, you are our ley line expert." Snow Pea passed the baton if you will to the Musk Lore Master.
"Well as you remember when the Amazons blocked Seth fifty years ago the spell they used drained much of the magic from Jusenkyo and though I can't be sure it might have drained the chaos from the nexus." Thyme started as Mousse moved up to look at the map.
"Is that why the Isis shards were so important to his next move to use the valley?" Mousse asked as he looked intently at the map where Seth was targeting the ley lines.
"Yes partly. He was feeding his chaotic powers through those shards to the nexus to get it back up to its original size. I asked Isis to allow us access to Jusenkyo Valley and I verified the nexus was shrinking back down to the size it was after your elders blocked Seth." Thyme said as he talked to Mousse and the others in the room.
"So what do you feel he is doing now? Something not good for us I am sure." Sage said as he wrapped an arm around Meran's waist under her wings.
"I think what he is doing is trying to link ley lines together so he can get the same power from all the nexuses he already has and burst forth other then here were we are waiting for him." Thyme said as he scowled at the map.
"So this was a waste of time." Kalya asked as she moved forward.
"No actually we have a retaliation." Shen said as he came up and placed a hand on her shoulder.
Shen stared at Kalya as he looked for the young man he had learned to think of as his son. He saw him every once, in a while and has been talking with Nodoka and Mousse about Ranma and helping them to see the boy as he poked through Kalya. In working closely with the two warriors he had also began to think of them as his children along with Kalya. Well Ranma and Kalya were more like his grandchildren. However, he wanted mostly Nodoka to see her son as he had grown into a strong and honorable man that was forced to become the beautiful, strong, and honorable Kalya before them. He smiled lovingly at the young woman as it had been so long since he had a family but now he has not only Kalya but also her family and the other Isis Warriors.
"So we need to make sure we can move at a moment's notice to meet him." Ryoga said, as he was not happy they might lose innocents because of coming to Nerima.
"No not necessarily. I found the book on elves Isis had and read it closely." Snow Pea stepped forward and gently stroked Kalya's cheek.
"Tell me Kalya did you read the entire book. Or just what the elf Kalya showed you?" She asked her adopted daughter.
"Well actually I did read it after Kalya showed me what was her gifts. Why?" She asked the confusion showing on her face.
"That is good. Now don't blame the ancient elf but some elves about twenty percent of the elves are born with a gift that most of the time they don't know they have." Snow Pea said as all of the Isis warriors and the rest of the room looked at her confused.
"Then how does the book know about it?" Niitmin asked, as he too looked confused.
"Well it seems some figured it out and the author found a few of the elves that had the gift and maybe Kalya was one of the elves that had it but did not know it." Snow Pea said with a chuckle as she was enjoying talking about it but not telling anyone what the gift actually was as she waited for Mascara to blow a gasket she spotted Sapphire with a smirk on her face.
"WHAT GIFT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" Mascara as if on cue exploded as Snow Pea smiled and Sapphire hid a grin as she realized what Snow Pea was doing.
"Gift? What gift are you tal…? Oh you mean the elf gifts well it turns out twenty percent of the elves...!" Snow Pea is cut off by a deep growl.
"You told us that!" Mascara's anger showed in her face.
"It turns out the twenty percent can see the ley lines and chaotic nexuses." Snow Pea laughed as Mascara fell from her staff in shocked frustration along with Sapphire though Cologne managed to keep her balance but just barely.
"So we are able to see them. Thyme showed us at Jusenkyo how to see them and we taught the rest of the warriors." Kalya said as Snow Pea turned to her still chuckling.
"Yes I remember however, the gift from the elf is much more intense. Could you see the nexus?" Snow Pea asked Kalya as she moved closer to her daughter.
"Well no but I figure as we practice we will eventually. We were trying to get the pinholes closed so we did not experiment much." Kalya said as she looked at the three that went to Jusenkyo with her they nodded.
"There is more to it then just _seeing_ they ley lines daughter. The gifts are of course automatic like your telepathy. They also really aren't completely automatic. You need to first learn how to reach the ability. That is why many elves don't realize they have the ability." Snow Pea continued.
"What we need to do is head outside, and find out if you can figure out how to make the gift work. Your generals may also have the gift but it might not be as strong as yours." Shen told her as he finished for Snow Pea.
"If we all can see them we might be able to lead separate fights against his incursions. Can we manipulate them?" Kalya asked hoping they could then they could force him to Nerima where they will be waiting for him.
"We are not sure the book hinted that might be a possibility. The elves have a code if you will not to tamper with nature and the ley lines fall under that code. Though if it is to protect lives I think we can try." Shen continued as Kalya nodded her head.
"Alright where is the closest nexus to us?" Kalya said as she looked at the map.
"Well surprisingly it is at Furinkan High School." Ric said as he looked quickly at the map." The shocked looks of everyone turned to the yacht's man.
"We will have to notify the school board on that, it won't due to have Seth come through during classes. I believe though at the moment the school is out for summer break." Sapphire said with a worried looked on her face.
"Let's go to the school and see. We can check the ley lines around us when we get outside. I want to follow them and see where they lead. The more I and my generals know and understand the better chance we have of fighting Seth's manipulations with our own." Kalya said as she and her generals headed out the sliding doors that led to the patio.
The entire room followed them but Niitmin and Meran they quickly went to their rooms to change clothes since they did not want to fly around with wings. They changed to their Isis forms and then changed to other clothes. They each then jumped out their windows to join up with their friends that were waiting for them. Both excited for when they could change shape without the extra step of changing clothes.
"Kalya when you can get the spell to change our clothes to something else it might not be a bad idea to use our Isis forms as diversions maybe not to fight but to move freely around Nerima once the fighting starts and we need to get somewhere without being noticed." Tarragon said as the two Phoenix Warriors returned.
"Since Niitmin and Meran will be in their true forms when they are fighting it would be a good idea." Shen said as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Ok I got it down to three spells I am looking for the one that will give us the best options or maybe see if I can layer the spells." Kalya said as she thought on the three spells that seemed to work the best.
"I can help you with that daughter." Snow Pea said as her eyes glowed excitedly.
"Ok mother Snow Pea this evening after dinner. We also need to look at illusion spells so Saamin can go out safely." Kalya said with a warm smile at the glee in her adopted mother's eyes as she saw Saamin smile at her.
"Now let's get going on the ley lines. What do we do first?" Tarragon said to the Isis Warriors.
"Well we are not exactly sure we were hoping Kalya would know." Saamin said with a bit of embarrassment as he had put on his ankle length trench coat and fedora to cover his wings since he did not have a curse nor could he magically change his appearance.
"Well let me contact the spirit of Kalya she may not have known she had the gift but she might know how to access it." Kalya said as she sat down and took a lotus position her lap filled by Mr. Tabbs as he curled up and went to sleep.

Kalya opened her eyes and found she was standing where she first met Seth. She shuddered as she remembered the fight that cost her, her male side but saved her sanity. She turned toward her core and stared transfixed at the enormous spiritual core she now possessed. She saw the pure white of the core with streaks of golden and silver. She moved toward the core and touched it gently. She felt the shudder that came from within. As she stepped through the wall of her core, she felt the good tidings from her generals.
"Isis has chosen well of her Warriors." Kalya smiled as she recognized the voice of the original Isis.
"Yes at first I was not sure of Ryoga but he has let go of a lot of his anger and his desire to protect his family and friends has turned him around." Kalya said as she sat down and waited for Isis and Kalya to join her.
"You have come about the ley lines gift, yes." The bell like tones of Kalya came from somewhere deep in her core.
"Yes Kal-Chan, can you help?" Kalya asked as the original Kalya came from the swirling like mist and sat down.
"I have been thinking on it trying to remember let us talk of other things and it might come to me. I remember my great grandfather had the gift but it seemed no one else did but I might be able to help you check. He died before I was old enough to check and by then I forgot all about it." Kal-Chan said as she hung her head.
"Ok how does it go outside I have not sensed any fighting yet?" The first Isis said with a sad frown as she placed a ghostly hand comfortingly on Kalya's shoulder.
"Seth has been making small incursion into our world but only to grab ley lines and pull them together to open a portal somewhere else since we took away his access again to Jusenkyo. After we left, Jusendo valley Seth sent twenty warriors to Jusenkyo to try and reclaim it. He met stiff opposition as we trained the tribes with help from Happosai, each other, and me. He lost." Kalya told her as she wished the war was over so she could move on and get to know these two women better that are now a part of her.
"Yes that is frustrating. How is Isis?" Isis-Chan asked she really wanted to go home to her but that was no longer relevant.
"I am just fine Andrea. I am waiting for you, Kal-Chan and Kalya to return to me." The three looked up and saw Isis outside Kalya's core as she used Kalya's nickname for the original Kalya.
"Then I will not be able to go on to my people's own afterlife." The spirit of the elf asked sadly.
"No I am sorry child but with the ability of Kalya to transgress the spirit world she could take you to visit those you left behind." Isis said as she shook her head for her daughter to stay in her core.
"No daughter stay in your core for now I cannot stay long. I just wanted to come and see the three of you together. I wanted to tell you all how proud I am of you all and wish you luck!" Isis reached out and touched Kalya's spiritual core her hand glowed a deep golden in color and it surrounded Kalya's core.
The deep golden color filled the inside of the core and the three occupants. When it disappeared with it went Isis. The three looked at each other confused then down at themselves. They looked back to where Isis had been standing and wondered if they had dreamt it all. The first to speak brought the attention of the other two back to face her.
"What was that all about?" Kal-Chan asked confused.
"I am not really sure." Kalya responded as they faced each other again.
"I think I figured out what I needed to remember Kalya." Kal-Chan told the other two.
