Chapter 9: Study Date

"Okay, everyone please get in closer so you can all fit in the picture."

The girls of the cooking club had all insisted on Tsukune being in the picture with them but he'd declined telling them only club members should be in the picture. Tsukune was trying to get the girls organized so the picture would come out great. Kurumu was standing to the side as she had decided not to be in the picture.

"The picture came out great. Thanks for your time girls." Tsukune grabbed his notepad and pencil getting ready to finally leave.

"Tsukune-kun can you please stay a little longer?"

Kurumu looked around at the girls nodding their heads in agreement. She didn't like hearing someone that had only just met Tsukune to call him kun.

"I'm sorry girls but I have to get back to the newspaper club so I can start writing about your wonderful club."

Kurumu grabbed Tsukune's hand and got him out of the room before any of the girls could object. She then led him quickly down the path to the building where his club met. After they were just outside the door of the newspaper club she stopped. When she turned to Tsukune she noticed the blush on his face.

"What's wrong Tsukune-kun?" She came closer to him pressing her breasts onto his chest. "Are you getting nervous being alone with a woman?"

Kurumu felt Tsukune's fingers tighten around her hand. This made her realize that she hadn't let go of his hand yet and caused her face to turn red. The boy felt her grip on his hand lessen but he tightened his grip slightly. This told the succubus that he didn't want her to let go.

"Tsukune-kun…"

She whispered his name while at the same time her face was getting closer to his. Tsukune could feel her warm breath on his face and inside his heart was soaring. Next to them two figures came out of the dead forest.

"Yukari I told you that it was no big deal. I'm sure that anyone would have helped you, even Gin-sempai."

"But Mizore-chan I'm so glad it was you that saved me. I- I think…" The little witch gulped. "I think I love you."

The young girl put her arms around the surprised Yuki-Onna. Meanwhile Tsukune and Kurumu frantically pushed away from each other. Tsukune lost his balance and fell on his butt. Yukari and Mizore finally noticed the other two.

"Um, hi Tsukune-kun." Mizore pale skin made the color on her cheeks stand out a lot more than it should have. "Did you happen to overhear us?"

Tsukune picked himself up of the ground and nodded his head. "You saved Yukari-sama."

"And now I'm in love with her!" Yukari pressed her whole body onto Mizore. "Maybe you Moka and I can have a threesome Mizore-chan."

Tsukune's nose sprayed out a stream of blood and Mizore's mouth fell open. Kurumu took out a handkerchief she had and gave it to the bleeding boy. The door to the newspaper club opened and out stepped the beautiful rosette Moka.

"Tsukune-kun you're back! I want to show you some of the clubs I went to that were really interesting." Moka's smile faded as her eyes landed on Kurumu. "So how did you escape your entourage Kurumu?"

The blue haired succubus glared back at Moka and lightning could be seen going between them. "I don't need to escape them. I just told them that I needed my alone time and they listened."

Tsukune had gotten his nose back under control and stepped between the two girls.

"Moka-chan I would like to see the clubs you are talking about." He turned to Kurumu next. "Thanks for walking me back to my club and for the cookies Kurumu-chan."

She baked him cookies? Moka frowned at hearing that her beloved Tsukune had enjoyed cookies from her rival. "I guess this means you must leave now Kurumu."

"Unless she decides she wants to join our club." They turned to see Gin walking towards them with many pictures overflowing in his pockets. "You can be my right hand woman."

The Ookami walked over to Kurumu and lifted her hand to his lips. "I will join your club but I won't be anything of yours as I'm sure you have someone else for that."

Charm!

Kurumu smiled as she watched Gin walk towards Moka with a hungry look in his eyes. The vampire took a step back as Gin lifted his hands at her.

"Gin-sempai what are you doing?" Just as Gin was about to grab Moka she slapped him hard enough to throw him into a tree. "I hate perverts."

"How about we get inside and start writing the articles." Gin rubbed his cheek where Moka had left her hand mark.

Moka was the first one inside because she wanted to get away from the Ookami. Mizore walked inside pulling Yukari inside as she was still hugging her. Tsukune and Kurumu walked in together, with mere inches separating their hands.

Kurumu had sat next to Tsukune to bother Moka and to help him out with some of the names of her ex-club mates. The boy was busy writing and she was studying his face. Mostly his mouth.

What if we had kissed? Kurumu remembered the moment outside the newspaper club before Mizore and Yukari had interrupted the two. It wouldn't have been good. He probably hasn't even had his first kiss. I wouldn't have let him put his lips on mine. He's too weak to be my destined one.

As she was thinking this Tsukune noticed she was looking at him and he gave her a warm smile that made the blue haired girl blush.

Moka was keeping an eye on the succubus that was a bit too close to Tsukune.

Mizore was trying to work on her article with Yukari but the young witch was going on and on about how she Moka and Mizore would get married to each other.

Gin was looking through the pictures he had acquired from his little trip to the other clubs. Most of the pictures were of girls getting dressed or undressing in the locker rooms. Drool was coming down the side of his mouth when he realized he had to get back to work. Before he did though he took a look at the still angry Moka. He was wondering what had caused him to grasp at Moka. He then noticed where her eyes were pointing. Gin followed her gaze all the way to Kurumu, their newest member. She had told Gin that the reason she was switching clubs was because she was tired of cooking the same thing everyday. The way she looked at Tsukune gave him doubts about the real reason she had switched. The Ookami turned to the wall clock and saw that it was getting to be late so he decided that it was time to end the day's meeting.

"Bye Gin-sempai. See you tomorrow."

Tsukune, Kurumu, Moka, Mizore and Yukari were walking down the path back to the dorms. Night had already fallen upon Yokai Academy and the moon was high in the sky. It wasn't a cold night but the breeze made Yukari shiver. Tsukune noticed this and took off his green uniform jacket and draped it over the young girl's shoulders.

"I hope you don't catch a cold Yukari-chan." Tsukune gave her one of his caring smiles.

"A-arigato, Tsukune-sempai." Yukari's cheeks darkened at the boy's gesture.

"But Tsukune-kun aren't you going to be cold now?" Kurumu clamped onto his right arm. "Don't worry though. I'll keep you warm."

Moka gritted her teeth in annoyance. "I'll keep you warm too Tsukune-kun!" The rosette grabbed hold of the brown haired boy's left arm. I wont let Kurumu get ahead of me!

"Ahaha," Tsukune laughed nervously. "I'm fine girls. It's not that cold. So Mizore-chan how did you save Yukari-chan." Tsukune was trying to change the subject to make the situation a bit less uncomfortable for him.

"Oh! I'll tell you!" Yukari eagerly told them that the class president of her homeroom had kidnapped her while they were interviewing the swim club and were about to eat her when Mizore froze him and fought of his lackeys. "She saved my life and that's why I love Mizore-chan. Maybe Moka and Mizore can come to my room to study for the tests we are having tomorrow."

"Not a chance Yukari." Mizore knew that the girl didn't really want to study.

"Oh no! I completely forgot about the tests tomorrow." Tsukune broke free of Kurumu and Moka started running to the boys dorms. "I have to start studying. Bye I'll see you all in the morning!"

The four girls watched as Tsukune ran off leaving them on the path with only each other. An idea popped into Kurumu's head, it was an idea to make her vampire rival upset.

"Well I also have to leave to study so I guess I will see you tomorrow." The succubus brought out her leathery wings and tail and started flying away.

Moka had a bad feeling that it wasn't a coincidence that Kurumu left right after Tsukune. She knew that she couldn't do anything at the moment because Kurumu hadn't done anything yet. The rosette sighed and turned to her two friends.

"How about the three of us study together. We will go to my room not yours Yukari-chan." Moka didn't know what the little witch was capable of in her own territory.

"But my bed is really big Moka-chan, I think all three of us could fit."

Mizore slapped the back of Yukari's head. "We are going to Moka-chan's room to study not to do anything else."

Tsukune had sped up the stairs to the third floor where his room was located. Sweat was dripping down his face from exhaustion. He opened the door and stepped inside the dark room, closing the door behind him. Tsukune was so tired he slipped down to the floor and sat in front of the door. Moonlight was coming in through the open window.

Open window? Did I leave the window open when I left this morning?

As the brown haired boy's eyes accustomed to the darkness he noticed a shape on his couch. He squinted to see if he could get a better look but the moonlight behind the shape made it difficult. Tsukune got up and went over to the light switch. Keeping an eye on the shape he flicked on the lights.

"Hey Tsukune-kun!" A familiar succubus jumped onto Tsukune making him fall over.

They landed in an awkward position. Kurumu was on top of Tsukune between his legs, her face was inches away from his, and her breasts pressed onto his chest.

"What's wrong Tsukune-kun? Aren't you happy to see me?" The girl smiled as she said this. The nervous look on the boy's face amused her.

"It's just that… why… how did u get in here?"

"I came in through the window silly."

As they gazed into each other's eyes Kurumu could feel the boy's heart beating quickly. Then she realized that her heart was beating in synch with Tsukune's. His chocolate brown eyes looked into her violet eyes. Their faces started coming closer and closer. Suddenly a knock came at the door. The two were startled and got up quickly. Tsukune had a blush on his face as he went to open the door. Kurumu turned away from him hiding her equally reddened cheeks. The boy opened the door and found Moka, Mizore and Yukari at the door.

"Tsukune-kun I brought your jacket. Yukari-chan forgot to give it back to you." Moka handed it to him with a sweet smile that faded at the sight of Kurumu in his room. "What is she doing here!?"

Kurumu walked toward the rosette. "I was just helping Tsukune-kun study. After all he told me I could."

"Tsukune-kun is this true?" Moka's voice was rising.

"No! I mean I would like her to stay but she just came in through the window and…" Tsukune trailed off seeing that his response hadn't helped at all.

"Moka-chan, I suggest we all stay here to study." Yukari nodded in agreement with Mizore.

"Yes how about that Moka-chan?" Tsukune was glad that Mizore was trying to help him out.

Moka had sat on the couch between Tsukune and Kurumu. She didn't want them to be near each other. Yukari was teaching everyone a lesson in math while everyone else took notes. Kurumu was dozing off because of boredom. Mizore was popping chips into her mouth not really paying much attention. Tsukune was taking careful notes because he didn't want to fail the tests and have to take summer classes. He wanted to spend time with his friends over the summer. Maybe he and Kurumu could get closer. He thought it weird that when they were alone together they seemed to come together but when they were in public she only flirted with him like how she did with her posse.
