Please also NOTE I write Alternate Universe (AU) stories whether they are crossover or not. The AU applies to ALL characters. Thus this will make them OOC to the original Story and I like it that way. So if you plan to comment that Akane is not like that sorry I write her like I like to. This goes for all the characters it makes the story more fun for me to write that way. Got to have some antagonist and some friends :D)

Chapter Nine

Mousse stood on the roof and watched as Shampoo practiced her kata and chúi fighting. He sighed, as he really did not want to know if what he suspected was true. If he did not, then she could die and he really did not want that. No matter what she had done or would do, he did not want her hurt. He looked one more time down at her and as he watched her, his mouth silently moved. When his lips stopped moving his eyes glowed bright green blue he then jumped from the roof in front of Shampoo.

Shampoo worked out trying to work out her anger and frustration. She had many times caught that stupid blind fool staring at her. She would have bashed him into the next century but she knew if she did that, she would die. She suddenly stopped as she felt as someone had landed in front of her. She opened her eyes and saw Mousse before her. She raised her chúi but stopped as his green-blue eyes made her stop.

"=I want to know if I enforce my right as your husband would you kill me=?" Shampoo cringed at the thought of Mousse touching her then she looked at him her plum eyes darkened to a purple black.

"=Yes I would=!" Shampoo snarled through clenched teeth.

"=Even though my injuries were inflicted on me by my mother and I no longer have them=?" Mousse pushed his eyes glowing darker.

"=You were the fool of the village! I will not be the wife of a fool=!" Shampoo snarled again she was getting angrier at the continued questioning.

"=I was the fool of the village because you made me that with your prideful arrogant behavior! You would not allow me to seek another was that just so you would save your precious status and wanted to marry before me=?" Mousse was getting angry his life was hell back at the village because of Shampoo.

"=I am the best of my generation! I could not allow you to find happiness until I had my own even then I would not allow you to live a life I was not a part of! You are mine to treat as I see fit but I will not marry you=!" Shampoo snarled and ran toward Mousse her chúi raised for the killing blow.

As Shampoo finished speaking she ran toward Mousse, she did not notice their conversation was overheard. She did not see the four elders who were on the patio. Nor did she see the other Isis Warriors suddenly appear, coming to Mousse's aid. They all stopped at the raise of his hand as he took Shampoo's attack. Four steel claws appeared on each hand as he used his left hand to deflect her strike with her right hand. He use his right hand deflected the chúi that tried to smash into his stomach. As each set of claws blocked, the incoming weapon Mousse twisted his wrists causing the heads of the smooth maces to be severed from their shafts in a clean stroke.

Mousse then snapped out with his foot and kicked Shampoo in the head sending her flying into a large bolder at the edge of the apartment buildings property. He then slowly walked toward Shampoo his eyes flashed red behind the green-blue that filled them. He then rose his one clawed hand readying to end his torment by the person he thought he loved but in actuality, he was her puppet until she found someone she wanted more.

"No Mousse she is not worth it! Her lies have been exposed!" Pewter stopped the angry boy as she pointed behind him and saw not only his new family and friends but also the four elders on the back patio.

"You are right Pewter she is not worth it!" Mousse said as he turned and walked toward his friends, he stopped and then walked back to Pewter and took her hand gently in his.

Shampoo had awakened from her forced slumber the first thing she saw was the four elders and the Isis Warriors. At a movement, she looked up and saw, as Mousse was about to sever her head from her body. She heard the voice of another a soft gentle voice as it stopped him. She scowled at Pewter's disrespect as she was worth much more than she ever would be. Shampoo watched as Mousse agreed and walked away. She watched as he stopped and walked back to Pewter and gently took her hand and led her away from Shampoo. She was shocked Mousse would pick Pewter over her she would not have it. Shampoo got to her feet and scream in rage.

"=HE IS MY AIREN! SHE CAN'T HAVE HIM=!" Shampoo had forgotten all her plans to push Mousse onto someone else.

"You are not fit to marry any Amazon! You were told not to attack Mousse! Yet you did! He fought you and beat you again! But this time in front of not three but four elders!" Sapphire snarled at the purple haired Amazon.

"As of now, you are stripped of your warrior status! You are nothing more then a servant of the entire village, even the males. You will be treated accordingly. Mousse will you still want to claim her as your wife?" Mascara growled as she sneered at Shampoo.

"No but I will not release her since I have beaten her three times; until the end of the war. If she refuses to honor her own promise not to attack me, she will not honor your edict against challenging the Isis Warriors. Therefore, I will keep her locked permanently since she is now simply a servant she no longer has any rights as an Amazon Warrior. I apologize Elder Cologne but she brought it on herself, all I did was ask questions to determine if my life would be in jeopardy if I consummated my marriage to her." Mousse said as he bowed slightly and with his arm around Pewter's waist and her arm around his they left the elders and headed toward the Isis Warriors.

"There is no apology required Mousse. We heard the questions and answers. She will no longer be here. She is going back to the village stripped of her titles. It will also be known that her status is locked but you are free to choose another wife." Sapphire said as he and Pewter held onto each other Sapphire's eyes shined with pride for her great great granddaughter though her elder sister was her heir.

The elders watched as Mousse turned to Pewter and smiled at her. She smiled back as she had realized after they had gotten here that she really did love Mousse. She nodded then looked at the elders. Mousse stood taller as he moved closer to the four leaders of his village Pewter still held tightly in his arms.

"I do not want to force a challenge on her do I still need to fight her?" Mousse asked as he looked at the elders.

"We have lived by a strict code of laws as far as marriage goes for eons, boy but we are beginning to see there is other ways. You are an Isis General you are more powerful than any ten of our villagers. We give permission for you and all the chosen Isis Warriors to 'purpose' to the woman they love be she Amazon or not." Sapphire said as she looked at the other elders and received curt nods even from Cologne.

"Then Pewter will you honor me by agreeing to be my beloved wife?" Pewter smiled brilliantly and jumped into the arms of her new Airen.

"YES!" Her answer was followed by an enraged scream from behind the happy couple they ignored it as they kissed.

"NO HE SHAMPOO! SHAMPOO NO ALLOW!" Shampoo charged the newly engaged couple as the others screamed in fright and moved to intercept.

They did not have to worry as suddenly over Shampoo a rain cloud opened up over the girl. It doused her with a deluge of rain and only her. When the water suddenly disappeared as fast as it came Shampoo was gone. Left in her place tangled in her clothes a male peacock stood. However, the normal iridescent green blue body now included a shade of purple iridescence.

"SHAMPOO!" Cologne forgot her station but she could not move as her husband held her tightly.

Dolphin stepped up to the proud bird and pulled from her stuff space a thermos of hot water. She was about to open it and dump it on the bird when Snow Pea came up and stopped her by putting her hand on Dolphin's arm. Dolphin turned and stared at her elder with a raised eyebrow.

"Do not bother child. Isis promised her this fate if she did what she did." Dolphin shook her head as the elder looked at the other generals and saw their eyes glowing golden.

Dolphin then poured the hot water on the bird in the middle of Shampoo's clothes. She transformed back into her human form and quickly dressed. She had wide frightened eyes but also an evil smile as she felt the goddess did not care if she hurt Mousse. She just had to make good on her threat.

"You did not get a reprieve from the goddess Shampoo. It is because of Cologne and Happosai she is giving you this warning. You are now cursed as a male peacock. Go against your elders, try to force yourself on a general or harm Mousse or _any_ Isis warrior we have many that do not hold a status of general and she will make it permanent!" They all turned to see Kalya standing behind her Elder Mothers her eyes like all the generals glowed golden.

"Shampoo not be treated this way!" Shampoo snarled.

"You have no choice you attacked Mousse a third time after being warned by your elders. I would be careful if I were you! If you go back now with your current status what do you think would happen?" Kalya asked the wet warrior.

"I...I!" Shampoo stopped her retort as she looked with both rage and jealousy at the garnet haired beauty.

"Well Shampoo what would the village do to you!" Cologne asked as she leaned into Happosai's arms as Kalya rested her hand on his shoulder off handily noticing he and the other elders were getting taller.

"They would treat her as they treated me for something I had no control over, except she could have chosen not to attack me again. She did not want to she wanted my spot as Isis' General and Kalya's position as the Isis Warrior. Her treatment will be ten times worse then what she and the others had done to me." Mousse spoke as he looked at the elders and ignored the newly cursed ex-warrior.

"NO! SHAMPOO NO GO HOME!" Shampoo screamed as she ran toward Mousse and Pewter.

Pewter turned and met Shampoo head on she pulled from her stuff space a staff very much like Ric carried. As she flicked her wrist, the three-foot double-edged blades popped out of the eight-foot white ash staff. Pewter used the flat of the bladed and jabbed it between the oncoming Shampoo's legs. She then moved the staff toward Shampoo changing its angle so the blade was behind her left leg. Shampoo started to fall but Pewter still with the blade behind Shampoo's kneecap pulled it forward causing Shampoo to trip over her own feet with her free leg and fall flat on her back. Shampoo tried to rise but the sharp point of Pewter's blade was at the throat of the angry girl.

"Go on Shampoo move so I can put an end to this! I will not allow you to hurt my Airen and family!" Pewter snarled as the elders listened with surprise.

"It is alright Pewter. We will take care of this go be with your Airen you have much to decide on." Cologne said as she glared down at her granddaughter.

Cologne dragged Shampoo to her feet then quickly turned her around and using shiatsu points began the process of locking away her knowledge and skill. When she finished, she began to drag the frightened girl away. She stopped when a deep voice asked her to stop. Cologne turned to see Hayashi come forward his arm wrapped tightly around Dolphin's waist. He glared first at Shampoo then looked at the elders.

"I like Mousse do not want to force the Amazon I love to fight me! Well the first problem with that is we are equal in strength and skill. I want her to accept my proposal freely. I ask permission to give her that chance." Hayashi looked at each elder as he waited for the verdict.

"Permission is given to all Isis' warriors though only at this time to the generals and Kalya. As this will require a law change and I think the four of us will be talking to the council back at the village. Kalya will you please activate the Isis Orb here so we may do this?" Sapphire asked as she turned to her daughter and smirked at the goofy grin on her face.

"Yes Mother Sapphire." She said as she stared at her uncle waiting he looked at her then smiled as the message came not only from Kalya but all the generals but one.

{Well ask her already!} Hayashi's cheeks reddened as he turned to Dolphin.

Hayashi wanted to get romantic on one knee and everything but it would be seen as being submissive to Dolphin and like her, he wanted their relationship to as equals. He reached out and took her hand in his. He pulled an item from subspace and began to slip it on her finger. He looked deep into her dove grey eyes and saw her pain fading and being replaced by over whelming joy. Then he asked her as he seated the ring on the ring finger of her left hand.

"Dolphin will you honor this humble warrior to share my life, the good and the bad. Let us learn about each other and grow old together? Will you marry me?" Hayashi asked as Dolphin looked down at the ring.

"Yes, I Dolphin accept the request of my equal to be his now and forever more." The elders looked a bit shocked as Dolphin proclaimed her Airen her equal the only other time that was done was when Cologne married Happosai.

Hayashi jumped for joy then grabbed his new fiancée by the waist. He held her up, his hands on her waist and spun her around. Her long periwinkle hair twirled around her body as he spun her. When he put her down, he kissed her passionately. Dolphin returned the kiss as she wrapped her arms around Hayashi's neck. The ring was an inch wide and was an open weave of pink, yellow, and white gold. The different color gold was made of thin 'threads'. This made it even more delicate. Attached to the woven gold were tiny periwinkle blue versions of the flower. The stone in the center of the ring was a Marquis shaped Champaign diamond of three carats surrounded by pavate (Dani: this is the name given now for diamond chips spelling might be wrong) white diamonds. They sat on either side of the larger diamond but did not meet at the top or bottom.

"NO HE SHAMPOO INTENDED! I CLAIM HIM AS MINE!" Shampoo had been trying to figure out a way to claim Hayashi and steal him from Dolphin.

"Quiet girl you have no claim!" Snow Pea snarled as she was getting tired of the spoiled brat.

Snow Pea sighed, as all their heirs were just as bad. She hoped the example they are setting with Cologne's great granddaughter would stop all of them from getting that bad. She did feel sorry for Cologne but she was just glad it was not her going through this, as she could not survive the loss of her beloved Ginger. She turned and walked inside as Cologne and Happosai helped Shampoo to her room. Snow Pea hoped for a long talk.

As the generals, Kalya and their friends gathered around the newly engaged couples they all smiled happily. Kalya was the most happy as she had known Pewter's feeling had changed for Mousse after they arrived in Japan and they got to spend time together without Shampoo mucking up the works. She always knew her uncle and Dolphin were destined to be together she was just glad that both men finally asked their loves to marry them.

"So Mousse are you going to give it to her now or do it when you are alone?" Kalya asked as the generals and their friends giggled.

"Now Kalya dear he might want to do that alone you know go really mushy and romantic." Nodoka told her daughter with a giggle.

"No I want to do this with my family and friends around." He said as he pulled a small ring from inside his sleeve.

Mousse took the ring and placed it gently on the third finger of Pewter's left hand. Pewter stared down at the ring her eyes wide with shock. She knew he had to have had it made, as the design was so unique. When he got the ring on, she reached up with her right hand and gently rubbed the side of the ring. Mousse purchased Pewter's engagement ring two weeks after they had arrived to Japan. He had already decided it was she, he loved, but he feared asking her after the trouble he had, had with Shampoo. The ring was a single band of white gold in the center sat a two and a half carat heart shaped diamond. In a crescent on the left side of the ring curved, around half of the diamond was two rows of half-carat diamonds. The first row was yellow diamonds and the second and outer row was red diamonds.

Mousse bent down and kissed the ring he had just placed on Pewter's hand then straightened and kissed his fiancée again. Hayashi liked that idea and kissed Dolphin as well. The cheer that filled the courtyard of the apartment building filled the neighborhood with the happy cheering. The elders looked out the sliding doors from the common room. Sapphire got Kalya's attention and she nodded then slipped away to help her mothers' contact the village.

Cologne and Happosai had tried for hours to talk to Shampoo but she still insisted she deserved Hayashi and was going to make him hers. Cologne frowned as she and her husband rose to their feet and left the restrained girl on her bed. They headed down to the common room, looked around, and found no one. Then Kalya stepped from the shadows.

"She wouldn't listen." Kalya asked as she stared at the depth of pain and sadness in her Mother and Happosai's eyes.

"No she would not. Kalya dear can you activate the Isis crystal for me. Then may Happosai and I have some privacy?" Cologne asked the pain in her voice broke Kalya's heart.

"Of course I can Mother Cologne." Kalya activated the crystal then left to go to her room.

Kalya moved to her room. She had not gotten a chance to tell the elders about her conversation with Kal-Chan. She entered her room and ran smack into the back of Ryoga. She did not see him because her head was bowed. She bounced off him and landed on her behind back out in the hallway. Ryoga turned around, smiled down at her as Mr. Tabbs ran out, and crawled in her lap. His paws on her shoulders then he happily licked her nose.

"I didn't know I had company." Kalya said as Ryoga helped her up as she held onto Mr. Tabbs.

"Well with the events earlier we felt we should discuss what the elf Kalya told you. The sooner we know what to do the faster we can hinder Seth." Ryoga explained as he led her into her rooms.

"Wow! I see what you mean." Kalya looked around and all her generals were present.

"We felt it best we do this telepathically that is why none of the other warriors are here." Shen said as he came up and led her into the center of the room.

"Very well everyone find a seat we might even try to do some practicing on this." Kalya said as she and Mr. Tubbs sat in the center of the floor.

{"First she does have the capabilities well she is not sure but her great grandfather had the gift. He died when she was too young to know if she had it or not. When she got older, she and the family pretty much forgot her grandfather had it.} Kalya explained, as everyone got comfortable and took out their own journals to take notes to look over later.

{"Did she remember anything? I don't really understand why this gift is important as we can see the ley lines and nexuses with our ki sight?"} Ryoga asked his second question had been on every ones' mind.

{"Yes well we don't see the nexus with our ki sight and we might not be able to. The problem is we can only see them with Kal-Chan's gift I believe we can manipulate them. At first no, she didn't remember, so we talked about other things then Isis visited for a few moments.} The generals stared at her with wide eyes.

{"Then Kalya remembered she doesn't think that our ki will help but she is not sure so when we get the gift started we can experiment. I also want to see if we link together if it will give us a stronger access. We might only be able to see the ley lines and nexus but if we either use our ki or link we might be able to beat Seth at his own game."} Kalya explained as she smiled at her family and friends.

{"I think we should work on both angles even if the ki works. If we link our gift, well if we have it together we might be stronger then Seth and stop him from going around the blocks we put in place."} Ric suggested, as he looked at his soon to be daughter with pride.

{"Yes that makes sense just as we are stronger when we combine our Isis and elf magic."} Kalya smiled at Ric as she nodded.

{"Ok let's get this started. Everyone get comfortable and clear you minds. Kal-Chan was not sure how to access the gift, no one knew but her grandfather and he didn't tell anyone. So she is doing this just as she would any of her other gifts."} Kalya started as she and her generals cleared their minds to start searching for the ley lines.

{"Keep your eyes opened you won't see the ley lines and nexuses in your mind. Now think of the ley lines since we know there is no nexus here. Our next training will be to be able to see both at the same time."} Kalya told her generals as they all nodded.

As the group began to think on the ley lines, they started to glow a silvery white. They worked on getting the elusive ley lines to appear to them. Kalya noticed as their Isis power began to show just a little bit. She looked down and saw as her Isis powers joined in the mix though she did not stop them or herself as it might help them augment the elf's gift. When she looked back up, she began to see the thin red lines. That signified the ley lines there was one right through the center of her room. She frowned, as she did not like that at all.

{"Has anyone found any ley lines yet?"} She asked it as a question since she did not want them to feel bad she had but because she had Kalya's soul, she would be the first.

{"Yes and I am not happy about it!"} Nodoka said as she was staring at the ley line that went through the center of her daughter's room.

{"I agree!"} Her uncle piped in, as did the rest of her generals she smiled as they all had the ability to some extent.

{"That just means we now have a strong desire to block Seth's access to the ley lines."} Dolphin piped in as she wondered if there were any ley lines in her room.

{"Good we all can see them now our next task is to keep using the gift every waking minute and if you can in your sleep. The more we keep that gift active eventually it will be second nature. Tomorrow we will go to Furinkan High School and do the same with the Nexus. Once we figure out how to see them just keep it active until we don't have to think about it."} Kalya said as her generals nodded their assent.

{"Then we start trying to manipulate either using just the gift to start then adding our other techniques to the gift."} Niitmin thought as he wondered what effect ki and magic would give them the ability to do.

{"Well if you guys did not notice our Isis magic started glowing as we tried to activate the gift. I think that magic will always be a part of it so it may help us grow stronger faster."} Kalya told them as the warriors feverishly wrote down what she told them.

{"Yes I figure once we get to the point we see the ley lines and nexuses all the time we will be strong enough to start manipulating them. However, we might want to start learning to manipulate the lines before we are able to see them continuously. We need to start blocking Seth and fast."} Tarragon explained to his growing base of friends and he guessed family since they were all Isis' children.

{"That sounds good let's start doing that in a couple of days so we can get more familiar with the efforts of keeping the gift active."} Kalya said as she spotted several of her generals yawning.

{"Now you all go off to bed! However, remember every waking moment, keep your gift active and tomorrow after breakfast we will go check out the nexus.}

{"YES MOTHER!"} The generals all said at once and laughed as they left the private meeting leaving a stunned Kalya behind.

The Isis Warriors entered the common room and found the four elders with Happosai sitting around the map table talking. They looked up to see Kalya and her team. They waved them over to them. The group came and sat down as directed by Snow Pea. They stared at Cologne as her face looked warn and older then her three hundred years of age.

"The communication with the village did not go well." Kalya asked Cologne and Happosai.

"Well yes and no. She is no longer the lowest of the low but they agreed with Mousse she must remain locked but not to him. As long as she sees him as her Airen he is in danger or she will claim him if he gets a new Airen." Happosai said as he wished Mousse were going to be his grandson his wisdom was very strong for one so young.

"How can she stay locked in limbo without an Airen?" Ryoga asked as Pewter, Frosta, and Minuet entered the room.

"The council can decree it which they did." Sapphire told him with a raised eyebrow as she noticed a silver shimmer in his and the others eyes.

"So then if she goes home she will not be tortured." Shen asked he did not like the thought of that on someone so young.

"No she is not going home. She is not welcomed there any longer. Well not until she changes her attitude. The council is to blame somewhat for allowing our heirs to grow in their arrogance and we are now forced to fight Seth and fix the problem." Mascara said as she looked at Pewter and noticed the sparkle on her ring finger.

"So what is going to happen?" Mousse asked curious if she was locked by the council and not permitted to marry anyone that means he and Pewter can get married sooner.

"They are still using her as an example to the other heirs. She is banished but she must remain at our compound as they hope they can welcome her home once she stops playing the brat." Happosai told them as he held Cologne tightly to him.

"Will her skill be restored?" Kalya asked fear shone in her silver glowing eyes as she looked at the back of Mousse and Pewter.

"She is a highly skilled warrior. We will monitor her and give her access to her skill only during training or battle." Sapphire said with a frown.

"Elder if that is done to many times you know eventually she will either be locked permanently or you won't be able to do it to her at all!" Minuet said as she moved closer to the table and her friends.

"Yes so what we have decided is this she will be unlocked and trained we only lock and unlock her skill if she won't follow our edict. Otherwise, she will train like the rest of the warrior. She has been stripped of her title of 'This generation's best warrior'. She is prohibited to enter the tournament at this time forever that might change. She is also suspended as Cologne's heir. Cognac will be coming with more warriors. Shampoo will still learn but as of now Cognac is heir to Cologne." Mascara said but there was no gloating smile from her or the others as this could be happening to them.

"How is she taking it?" Shen asked the elders as his eyes filled with sympathy as he looked at a broken Cologne and angry Happosai.

"Not well but she will come around if she wishes to be her grandmother's heir she will have to. We plan on having talks with her and Cognac so they both understand that any more behavior like this will cost them both their spot as heir." Snow Pea told them as the group empathically felt the pain of all the elders, as their heirs were all just as bad as Shampoo. She just made the mistake to act out during a crisis.

"So where are, you all headed?" Sapphire asked wanting to change the subject.

"We had a private meeting last night and are now seeing the ley lines continually until it is natural for us. We are going to the high school to see if we can see the nexus or have to search differently for it." Hayashi said as he pulled Dolphin closer to him she had lost a lot of her arrogance with her curse but she was still proud of her skill.

"Wonderful, then what is the next step?" Snow Pea asked as Thyme and Saamin entered the room.

"We want to keep the gift of Kalya's active while we are awake and if we can while asleep but that might be hard right now. Then we will see if we can manipulate the ley lines and Nexus or if the gift is view only...!" Sage was cut off by Thyme.

"It may only be view only the elves...!" Thyme was cut off as Sage glared at him.

"I was going to say before you interrupted during our meeting we discussed that we thought if that was the case maybe we could us our ki, elf and Isis magic to alter them or a combination of two or all of the powers we possess. We also think if we link together that might also allow us to manipulate the ley lines and nexuses." Sage finished as the elders nodded their heads they liked that.

"Shen-san, are you going with them?" Snow Pea asked him.

"Yes I need to learn this as well since I am a general. So I would like to ask you to check Isis' tomes to see if there is a magical spell that will allow someone to see and manipulate the ley lines or at least see if our tests work all you will need is to see them we can train you all in the rest once we get it down pat." Shen said as Snow Pea smiled and nodded.

"Alright, but if we have ki access we already see the ley lines. Though it would be good to manipulate them if we can it might cause Seth no end of problems. The scholastic team will get going on that, oh have you gotten with Ebon about his Druid magic?" Sapphire asked Snow Pea.

"Yes we found several magical tomes of Druid magic. We might even see if any of you and Amazons can do Druid magic, it is very powerful. We are now copying down the history of the Druids for him as well." Saamin told them as they headed out.

"Please make me a copy of the magical tomes and we will see if we can do Druid magic. Saamin Isis wanted me to ask you do you want a human curse so that you will not have to wear the trench coat all the time." Kalya asked the birdman Lore Master.

"I don't know let me think on it ok?" Saamin asked as she nodded as he looked at Niitmin and Meran in their alter egos.

"Alright just let me know what you decide." Kayla told him as they headed out.

"Wait we will go with you. You might need guarding while you try to find the nexus." Mascara said as she joined them and their other warrior friends.

Shampoo watched as the group of Isis Warriors headed out. She spotted her grandmother and 'he who shall not be Named'. She frowned as she watched as Pewter walked with her arm around Mousse and his around her. She scowled as she saw as the male that should have been hers was doing the same with Dolphin. Her eyes caught a sparkle on the hands of both Pewter and Dolphin and her frown deepened as she realized they were engagement rings.

Shampoo turned from the window and moved to her door she opened it and found Snow Pea standing on the other side ready to knock. She scowled at the elder as something seemed off about them but she could not say what it was. Snow Pea pushed into the room and closed the door behind her. She pointed for Shampoo to sit on the bed, as she wanted to talk. Shampoo was about to tell her to take a swim in Jusenkyo but thought better of it and did as she asked.

"=Shampoo do you understand what has changed since yesterday=?" Snow Pea wanted Shampoo to tell her what was going on to see if the girl understood.

"=Yes because of stupid Mousse and useless male turned Isis Warrior I am now just a war...OW=!" Shampoo's tirade was ended with a painful whack from Snow Pea's staff.

"=You are in this mess _because of you_=!" Snow Pea growled as she saw the haughty arrogance glowing in her eyes.

"=Girl you had better start changing the council is cracking down on our heirs none of you will no longer get away with what you _all_ have been doing. Therefore, if you wish to be your great great grandmother's heir again you had better start acting like the adult you claim to be. The council has decided any heir that mimics your current behavior will find themselves in the same boat=." Snow Pea rose to her feet and instead of jumping to her staff she walked out the door shutting it behind her.

Shampoo stared angrily at the door to her room. She frowned as she went over what the elder had told her. Well it seemed it was not just her but all the heirs. However, she somehow felt Dolphin was exempt. She rose again but headed toward her window and not the door. She sat on the windowsill and stared at the blue sky. She did not see the beautiful blue sky or the white fluffy clouds. She saw the changes in her life since that male that stole her position as the Isis Warrior came into the village.

Shampoo did not notice as an image of the angry goddess stood before her. She did not even notice as Isis raised her hand, which caused her to glow golden. She missed the evil grin on the face of the goddess as she faded back to her temple. Shampoo suddenly shuddered as she began to see images she did not understand or know where they came from. She stumbled out of the window when the images of a small child a baby really, was throne into a pit of starving cats. She collapsed when she felt the claws rip at her flesh to get the meat. She saw the face of the child and the person throwing him into the pit and it was her face on both of them.

Shampoo tried to scream but her voice would not work as she saw the horror of the child being thrown repeatedly into the pit. The child that was, her thrown in by her. She watched as the child succumbed to the training and she felt as the human-cat burst threw the wooden door over the pit. She again tried to scream as the ki claws first ripped then seared the wounds. She tried hard to make a noise so someone would come and stop the pain. Then the images stopped for just a moment.

Shampoo tried to move she tried to get up to leave. She needed to find help someone had to be in the building. Then the new wave of images started with her and the child who was, her but she knew the child was male. She watched in horror as she tried to pry the child from her wrist and she threw him down to the ground from a three-story building. She watched as he repeatedly beat the child all for the art or throw him at boulders. She gagged when she cut the legs of the child then made him carry her fat ass, a backpack full of rocks and run through the forest with a pack of wolves that nipped at his heels from the trail of blood he left. She curled up into a tight ball as she chained the child to the back of the train to let him run to keep up or be dragged by the train. All the while eating the food the child scraped together to feed his starving stomach. The life that played out before Shampoo made her both sick and tore her heart out that someone could be that cruel to another human being.

{"Is that not what you did to Mousse? If you wanted to be my new warrior that was the life, you would have had to lead for the past thirteen years! Can you really tell me you would have survived?} Shampoo knew that voice it has been plaguing her since the new Isis returned.

Shampoo tried to answer the voice but she could not. As more and more, horrible images of a ten year old flooded her mind. It was she as she threw him into a cave of ghouls, demons, and evil spirits by her. Then adult her shut in little boy her by a boulder. In the dark forced to find a way out or die. A slight whimper escaped the tortured girl as she tried to answer the goddess.

{"=Please no more! I am not strong enough=!"} Shampoo finally admitted as the tears rolled down her cheeks as a river.

{"=But you are your generations best warrior=?"} The voice taunted sarcastically the anger still there unmistakable.

{"=I am...I was but none of our village would have survived that torture and stayed sane...NONE OF US=!"} Shampoo admitted that she was not the best.

{"=I needed someone who not only survived all that you see but survived with a caring and giving heart and an honor that transcended all boundaries. Do you have those qualifications=?"} Isis continued to ask as more of Ranma's life moved through Shampoo's mind a life where she played both the tortured and the torturer.

{"=N...No! Please make it stop please=!"} Shampoo begged again but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.

{"=My warrior begged for it to stop but her father refused he kept on _training_ her so she could slave for him while he stole all she earned=."} Isis watched Shampoo closely.

She watched as Shampoo finally broke under the deluge of memories not her own and the pain, fear, and betrayal that accompanied them. She watched as the girl became incoherent as she mumbled the pain she felt at the hands of someone who was supposed to love her. Isis' face fell she did not relish what she did it was unavoidable to make Shampoo give up her arrogance and leave her children alone. She released the spell she had put on the girl and faded as she heard the footsteps, as she knew those left behind had finally heard what she had kept quiet.

Kalya and her generals began to move around the school grounds looking for the nexus, they could not yet see. The ley lines they saw. As they moved, they looked for anomalies in the ley lines a shout came from the soccer field and everyone headed there. Meran was standing very still as she stared at the far goal post. The others came up and looked where Meran was staring. They first saw, as the ley lines seemed to disappear then reappeared. They stared at the missing section and slowly the nexus began to materialize. It was round but had tendrils shooting off it going in all directions and they were all different thicknesses and lengths. The center was a mass of swirling dark colors.

"It is so dark could it already belong to Seth." Meran asked as the elders came up.

"No he has not tied it into his other captured nexuses." Kalya said as she sat down and drew what she saw when they first came over and what she was seeing now. Shen-san was doing the same so his team would have something to fall back on when they worked in the library.

As she drew, the three elders that came with them looked over her and Shen's shoulders. They watched as the two drew what the nexus looked like. When the two finished, they stood up and moved closer to the chaotic node. The elders had to stop twenty yards from it. Even that was two close and they moved back some more as they were feeling sick. Kalya moved closer to the nexus as her generals followed her.

"Evidently you and your generals have a higher tolerance to the chaos in the nexus." Sapphire said as she looked longingly at the nexus wanting a closer look as Kalya nodded.

Kalya moved to the nexus she slowly put her hand on the swirling ball of color. As she felt the power of chaos flow through her, she saw as her generals also placed a hand on the nexus next to hers. She was going to stop them but when she turned, their eyes were glowing silver and golden. As the energy of the chaotic nexus flowed through them, all the others watched with awed worry. After a few moments, they all simultaneously removed their hands.

The group of Isis Warriors turned and slowly headed back to the elders. Their eyes glowed in a swirling of dark colors that shimmered with silver and golden light. They watched as the group moved further from the nexus the elders' patience was hanging on by a thread but they figured there was a reason they did not want to talk until away from the nexus. The group walked out of the school grounds and headed toward the train station. Though they were not going to take a train, they wanted a quiet place they could talk.

After about ten minutes, they walked into a coffee shop. They moved to a set of tables and got permission from the counter girl to make one large table. Meran placed orders for everyone after telepathically giving the warriors the ok to move the tables. She smiled at the barista and ordered a large box of chocolate chunk cookies to go with the beverages. She returned to the tables and took a seat next to Sage then leaned into his embrace as Dolphin did with Hayashi. Mousse wished Pewter could be here but she was needed at the apartment building.

"So what happened? Did you see the nexus? Why did you raise your hands?" Sapphire asked quickly before the others could speak.

"We can see the nexus but we had to locate it through an anomaly. Once Meran found it as we stared at it, we began to see it. I think we should practice with that nexus on trying to see it continually. So we do not have to keep looking for a fluke in the ley lines." Kalya said as they were served the lattés and cookies.

"I think there is more to it Kalya." Ryoga said as he looked at his hand that had touched the nexus.

"You don't feel it, do you?" He asked his leader as she shook her head.

"Do any of you know what he is talking about?" Kalya asked wondering if there was something happening and she could not feel it.

"Yes we felt something strange where our hands touched the nexus." Meran told her as they all stared at the elders as they jumped to their feet.

"YOU DID WHAT!" Kalya and the other warriors around the elders forced them to sit down and glared at them for their outburst.

"Tell us what you are feeling." Mascara asked them as she looked at Kalya first.

"I did not feel anything though in my touching of the nexus it felt like I was home and if I walked through it I would never have to be alone again." Kalya said as she hung her head not wanting to see the pain in her mother's eyes.

"That is not what I felt. I felt power, uncontrollable power. It was like trying to harness a hurricane." Nodoka said as she patted Kalya's hand.

"Is that what it was like for the rest of you?" Cologne asked them as they all nodded.

"What about now?" Happosai asked them as he stared them all down, he wished he could have done as they had.

"It is like that hurricane is now in my hand and it is moving through my body. It is like I am the hurricane and I am uncontrollable." Ryoga said as he looked at his hand.

"Yes that is what it feels like it is as if the nexus knew the trouble coming and wanted us to be chaotic to fight against Seth a god of chaos." Shen-san said as he stared quizzically at Kalya.

"I think Kalya is different which besides being Isis' avatar Seth wants her for the chaos that surges through her. Because of what she was trained in she is a large chaotic nexus herself not like the nexus of the ley lines but she is a...Hummm I don't know what to call it?" Shen Li said with a frown.

"More like a chaotic hub." Niitmin said as he looked at his leader using the new gift from the elf.

"Yes when she touched the nexus though she as we did absorbed chaos from the nexus and in doing so we are now hubs and she is a walking breathing nexus." Shen said as he smiled at the slumped shoulders of Kalya.

"WHOOP DEE DOO! Another problem added to my life!" Kalya said as she stared out the window toward the school.

"No Kalya I see where Shen is going with this. We are fighting a living chaotic nexus you were our closest to that. Therefore, the nexus in an effort to help our battle made you a nexus. We are hubs so that when you need extra chaotic power we can give it to you!" Hayashi told his niece as he held his fiancée tighter.

"You make the nexuses sound as if they are alive!" Mascara said as she stared at the Takashi heir.

"Well I think he is right and it may well be. Look Thyme said elves never tampered with nature or ley lines. Think about it ley lines are a big part of nature. The ley lines circle the earth if you destroy or damage them the earth suffers." Hayashi said as he tried to remember what Shen's team had found.

"Yes, yes I see. The nexus wanted us to find it. I don't know about the rest of you but I felt Isis after Kalya touched the nexus. She gave me a choice to be able to give Kalya extra chaotic strength during the battle. I accepted which was why I touched it." Shen said as the others nodded.

"So the nexuses are a living part of nature. It realizes that we will have to stop Seth through it and the ley lines right?" Kalya asked, as she did not want to hurt a sentient creature.

"Yes that was why we are your hubs and you a nexus. It knows we will do what ever we can, to force Seth to relinquish his hold on the nexuses and ley lines he has already taken control." Shen answered her.

"We better get back to the apartment, we have a lot to go over with Thyme since he is our resident expert on the ley lines and Nexuses." Cologne said as she and the party got up.

As Meran and Kalya return the dirty cups and plates to the counter girl who smiled at them and thanked them for their help the men moved the tables back to their original location. They then left and headed back to the apartment building. When the counter girl went to wipe down the tables she found a tip well over fifteen percent.

Cologne walked into Shampoo's room the girl was huddled in a dark corner of her room. Cologne frowned at her granddaughter first, she was too arrogant, and haughty now she was too cowardly. She moved toward her great great granddaughter and saw her legs pulled up against her chest. Her arms wrapped tightly around her shins pulling them tightly against her body. Her chin rested on the top of her knees staring at the window. Cologne took a step back from Shampoo as her eyes; the girl's eyes stared blankly though the underlying emotions were not hard to see. There was unspeakable torment in her granddaughter's eyes. She turned at the noise behind her.

"=What happen to her Snow Pea=!" Cologne demanded of her counterpart

"=We don't know. She was up here ever since you left then just before you got home we heard a scream that was...I don't know how to describe it but it ripped through your soul! We came running and found her curled up on the floor staring as she is now. We put her to bed but when I turned out the light, she moved to that corner and has been there ever since. Do you think Kalya or a general could find out what happened?" The scholastic elder asked Cologne.

"=The gifts only include empathy for those of us not generals. Let me talk to her maybe I can get her to open up=." Snow Pea nodded and moved out the door.

"=Shampoo? Are you alright child=?" Cologne asked as she pulled the desk chair closer to her great granddaughter.

"=Grandmother why=!?" Shampoo asked, as though she acknowledged Cologne's presence she never stopped looking out the window.

"=Why what child=?" Cologne asked as she reached out, brushed away a strand of hair from Shampoo's sweaty face and stroked her cheek.

"=Why someone would torture a child, like panda-man did=?" Cologne looked shocked Shampoo was not there and did not know about the torture and it was forbidden to tell anyone about it.

"=I don't know child. Some people have only their own narcissistic lives to protect though they care some they don't care enough=." Cologne told her as the fact she kept staring out the window and not blinking bothered her a bit.

"Who told you about Kalya's past life=?" Cologne asked as she tried to lift her head up to look at her but she refused to allow Cologne to do so.

"=Isis=!" Cologne rose and left the room there was nothing anyone could do the goddess had a hold of her mind and she meant to break Shampoo no matter what it took.

"Mother Cologne how is she?" Kalya asked as she met Cologne outside the door to Shampoo's room.

"Isis-sama is the matter child. She is trying to help myself and Happosai by making her see through the barrier she had erected around the truth of the last few months." Cologne told a confused girl.

"Do you want me to try and talk to Shampoo?" Kalya offered but Cologne shook her head no.

"Thank you no, Isis is helping her to see the truth it will end when Isis is satisfied." Cologne told her as she patted Kalya's arm.

Kalya watched as her adopted mother walked away. The elder's shoulders were slumped and she shuffled as if she was unable to lift her feet. She frowned, as this was wrong. These women gave everything to stop Seth fifty years ago. It broke her heart to see her Mother Cologne this way. She understood Isis was trying to prevent the fate she promised Shampoo but it should not cause her grandmother this much pain. Kalya turned and stared at the door as she thought she heard a pitiful whimper.

The door slowly opened bringing in a shaft of light from the hallway. Kalya's head came in around the door. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the dark she looked for Shampoo. She spotted movement in the darkest corner of the room. She moved into the room and shut the door behind her. She turned and moved to the girl still staring blankly at the window of her room. Kalya knelt in front of Shampoo and stared at the comatose girl. She moved and sat against the wall that formed the left side of the corner. She then reached over and pulled the girl into a gentle embrace.

"Ssssshhhh, you have a friend." Kalya said as she wrapped the girl up in her strong arms.

The girl did not respond as Kalya sensed Isis was still controlling what she saw and in an extent to what she felt. Kalya held tightly to Shampoo as she stroked her hair she talked quietly to her. She did not say anything important it was just noise. Kalya hoped that it would get through to the part of her consciousness to let her know she was there for her. Kalya jumped slightly as Shampoo turned and grabbed a hold of her tightly.

"=How did you survive=?" Kalya stroked her hair as she smiled at Shampoo glad she had been taught Mandarin.

"=I had too little Plum blossom if I did not I would have died!" Kalya told her as Shampoo laid her head on Kalya's shoulder but still stared blankly out the window.

"=I could not! No Amazon could=!" Shampoo admitted to the person she felt stole her right to be the Isis Warrior.

"=Mousse did=." Kalya said in a soft whisper but was not sure if the girl heard her or not.

"=I am not sure why I survived the panda's moronic training. I wish I could say I knew I had a purpose or it was to see my mom again. It was not he told me mom had died and I was six. The only thing I understood was my father was hurting me and I could not make him stop=." Kalya admitted to the frightened girl as she tightened her grip on Shampoo when she felt a shudder run through the young Amazon.

"=I am no better than the panda." Shampoo told the strong caring person next to her.

"=Why would you say that=?" Kalya now realized it was not just her life Isis was showing her but Mousse's as well, Shampoo may not have heard her comment about Mousse but Isis had.

"=I tormented Mousse because he allowed me to, it made me feel important. I prevented him from finding someone to love because I felt he was mine=." Shampoo shivered as she felt the cold settle over her as Kalya implored the Soul of Ice.

"=And now little Plum blossom=?" Kalya felt the shudder as she implored the Soul of Ice she needed to stay calm to get Shampoo to understand her status in this war.

"=I...I still want to control him. I still want to make him miserable. I still want his position as general but I know I cannot have what I want all the time. I am learning but I cannot help the way I feel=." Shampoo told her as the images of Mousse being beaten by Rose with a log still hot from the hearth.

"=What will happen to me? Will I forever be in this state=?" Shampoo asked Kalya as she watched the images as they started to repeat again.

"=I don't know little Plum blossom but you will continue like this until you realize and _accept_ the truth=." Kalya told her as she started to rise.

"=Please don't leave me=!" Shampoo held tightly onto Kalya her voice like a frightened child.

"=I must little Plum blossom, you are with Isis she needs to make you see and understand. She needs you to understand that what you want does not include destroying the lives of others for your own self-satisfaction. I can't interfere. Just remember little Plum blossom if you don't learn and remember these things, your curse becomes permanent. She chose not to do so now because of the debt she owes the Elders and Happosai but her patience is wearing thin=." Kalya de-tangled herself from Shampoo and left the room.

Kalya stepped through the door and into the hallway. She turned after shutting the door and found Mousse standing before her. His face was a mask of anger and worry. Kalya smiled at him, linked her arm through his, and led him away from Shampoo's room.

{"Should I not speak with her? It might help."} Mousse thought as he walked with his head bowed.

{"No it won't Mousse she is broken that is for sure but she still holds to her behavior toward me and you. However, she is lessening on me. Isis is showing her the truth of my life and yours. I asked her about you since she was willing to admit that neither she nor any Amazon could have survived the panda's training. She said because you allowed her to humiliate you she felt superior to you and the others. She still believes you are hers to do with, as she wants. Even though she knows the truth, Isis has shown it to her."} Kalya said as they walked up the stairs to the floor they stayed on.

{"I still want to be her friend but I won't stand for any more of what they did to me. Will Isis make her curse permanent?"} Mousse asked as they stopped at his apartment door where he shared with Ryoga.

{"I don't know I told her Isis is trying to get her to stop her behavior as a debt to the Elders and Happosai if she does not except what Isis has set up she will be a peacock forever."} Kalya told him as Mousse kept his head bowed and nodded he suddenly stiffened as Kalya hugged him lovingly.

{"Don't worry brother I am sure she will let it all go. She is almost there now. Just let her make the first move to friendship. If you don't she might go back to the way she was. Besides, you have Pewter now and the two of you need to start your own life."} Kalya told him as she kissed his cheek and went to her room.

Mousse stood shocked his hand on his cheek where Kalya kissed him. He knew there was nothing there but sisterly love. It was just he never even got that from Dolphin. He smiled then turned to watch as Kalya moved slowly with slumped shoulders to her room. His smile turned to a frown as he felt her need to find someone. The problem was she was technically immortal so was Nodoka and Ric. She would not want to find love then outlive those she chose to be hers or outlive their children. Mousse turned and entered the apartment and moved to his bedroom. When he opened the door, he found Ryoga sitting there on the foot of his bed his legs crossed as he waited for him.

"How did it go?" Ryoga asked him as he entered his room and shut the door.

"Kalya said she has been broken but still holds to her desires to kill me and take my place. She has given up on Kalya since she had to live through 'Ranma's life' under his father's tutelage. It was horrific she has admitted she would not have survived Genma's training nor would any Amazon. I on the other hand I am her property and she won't let go of that just yet." Mousse said his shoulders slumped as he sat on the edge of his bed.

"Then we end it here and now. Pewter, come on in." Ryoga said as Pewter opened the door to Mousse's room and entered.

Pewter was dressed in her satin battle kimono that they had made it was dark pink with white sparkly otus blossoms painted on it. She wore white kung-fu pants obi and dark pink kung-fu slippers. She smiled as her hair was up in an elaborate bun of tiny braids entwined around her high ponytail and mixed into the braided ponytail as it hung from the center of the braid.

"What is going on?" Mousse said as he smiled at how beautiful Pewter looked.

"Well I talked with the elders while Kalya was with Shampoo. The generals and Kalya wanted the two of you married now as well as Hayashi and Dolphin. This is before Shampoo comes out of her trance. We want to eliminate her choices. Nodoka and Ric are also going to get married so Shampoo won't go after him. We feel she might go back to the way she was if the generals were available. Sage, Tarragon and the Phoenix warriors are sort of off the table for obvious reasons. Now you two are getting married now. Tomorrow is Hayashi and Dolphin then Nodoka and Ric. Then after that a party until the compound is ready." Ryoga said with a broad smile as he led Pewter and Mousse from the bedroom and out the apartment door.

"What about you? You are not off the table as an outsider." Mousse told him as Ryoga shuddered.

"I'll tell her leave me alone or die, that generally works." Ryoga said as he decided to talk to Kalya about a way to get off Shampoo's list of suitors.

"And since you need some private time Kalya is letting me stay in the spare room in her apartment. We after all have a confusing history and she feels we need to talk to allow our new friendship to grow." Ryoga said a scowl grew on his face then it was gone and replaced by a bright smile.

Over the next few days, the weddings took place. The women wore one of their battle kimonos for the occasion. The men except Mousse wore dark washed jeans, turtlenecks, and leather jackets. Mousse wore his white robes. They all had a wonderful time and everyone was happy that the marriages were done. Sage and Meran wanted to be married as well but they had the problem of being a Musk and Phoenix. The elders said they would try and work it out but that they could live in the Amazon village if they chose to. Kalya offered them a permanent home at the Isis Compound if they chose.

At Dolphin's wedding, she wore her battle kimono it was a soft blue-green satin. At the hem of the kimono and sleeves was hand painted coral reefs with tropical fish swimming around them. At the top portion was a school of dolphins on the back and one that had come to the front. Her sash and slippers were blue while she wore Kelly green kung-Fu pants.

When Nodoka and Ric married, Nodoka wore a satin silver battle kimono. Though she had many she had not been wearing them as they were not battle ready and she was not sure she wanted them altered. She wore her battle kimono since Dolphin and Pewter wore theirs. Her silver kimono was hand painted with Sakura blossom still attached to sparse branches, which gave the illusion the trees were just out of sight. The branches were loaded with Sakura blossoms covering them completely. There was a few blossoms fluttering in the air or following in the wake of one of the many Monarch Butterflies. They were Nodoka's favorite. She wore a Sakura pink sash and kung-Fu pants with silver kung-Fu slippers.

When all three of the weddings were, complete and the couples had consummated their marriages the planning for the wedding feast was under way. It turned out they were able to have it at their new complex since the building had gone through its final inspection and they could move in. Everyone moved their things to their apartments at the complex then started helping with the wedding feast for the three newlyweds. The Isis Generals and Kalya were put to the task of decorating since they flew Saamin was also on that committee. The others were put to work doing decorating the tables and making sure the main hall was spotless. The elders and the Amazons there prepared the feast.

Ryoga sat in Kalya's apartment he sat in one of the two chairs by the window. She had opened it so they could get the cool night air throughout the apartment and their rooms. Ryoga was nervous he hoped he had relinquished his anger at Ranma but he really did miss the boy she use to be. He was honored he was chosen but it took some time to get over who she once was. He jumped slightly when Kalya put down the tea and some brownies she had made with their Amazon friends.

"You aren't allergic to nuts are you?" Kalya asked as she poured the tea and handed him a saucer with a huge brownie on it.

"Nope, I never really had any allergies." Ryoga said as his mouth watered at the brownie that was given him.

"HHHUUUMMM! This is wonderful! Will you make these for the feast?" Ryoga asked as he took a large bite.

"Yeah we probably will. Mom is going to help us make Mochi too along with chocolate chip cookies and other pastries. Minuet is going to do the wedding cake she loves doing that and is quite good at it. She even does sculptures out of cake!" Kalya said as she took a bite of her brownie and enjoyed the chocolate explosion in her mouth.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Ryoga asked but he knew why she offered him the spare room.

"Ryoga please take no offense of this I am asking because we might be able to use what you did to help Shampoo. How did you finally let go of your anger at Ranma?" Kalya was not Ranma at that time so Ryoga's anger was directed solely at the merged boy.

"*SIGH* It is hard to explain without knowing the reason. You see in my family's curse, as you know we can get lost turning a corner or walking into a closet. The loneliness builds in each of us some can handle it better than the others can. I am one of the ones who could not handle it. A side effect is when, we make a true friend, and that was what you really were to me. We begin to hate them because they can go anywhere and not get lost. We care deeply for them but our anger hides that love we have for them and covers it with hate." Ryoga said as he talked softly while nibbling on his brownie.

"When I came to the village I was going to kill you, did Mousse tell you that?" Kalya shook her head no, at a surprised look from Ryoga.

"I already knew we were linked by then since you fell into the spring after I left with the souls of Kalya and Isis." Kalya said with a small sad smile.

"Well when Mousse and I read a page from your journal we actually floored the three elders that were there and I guess that doesn't happen to often because Mulon and Mousse tried to hide their smirks. We read where you fought the panda to wait for me and you called me friend. I think that was when it started. After all I did or tried to do to you, I was still your friend." Ryoga said as he stared out the window at the dark sky.

"Then you came too and it continued you never treated me like I was unworthy or untrustworthy. I never had that in my life. Then at the trial, we found out about your life under the panda's control. I realized you and I were somewhat similar just like Mousse. Dolphin was also to some extent after she got her Phoenix Princess curse. But during everything that has happened you all treated me like an important part of the team and not fodder to be sent in first." Ryoga said the last statement his eyes filled with betrayal and loneliness.

"Who betrayed you brother?" Kalya's voice jolted Ryoga from his thoughts as he had forgotten the empathy but his thoughts were blocked.

"Brother huh? Well I guess that works. My own family I guess. I mean I love them but when I find one of them or make it to the Hibiki compound, I am shunned because my dad married a gajin. She had no martial arts training. She could not be trained in the Hibiki art. Our art is the cause of the directional curse and she is the only Hibiki that does not get lost. Well unless she can get dad to take her with him." Ryoga said with a sad smile.

"Why not call your home if she is there you can get her to come here. She can stay with you. Our rooms have two bedrooms to accommodate a guest. She would be safer here." Kalya told Ryoga who jerked up and looked at Kalya with hopeful eyes.

"Really you don't mind. I mean she can't do the art but she is a great cook and she can help us learn tasks we can use to support the compound she is an Art teacher." Ryoga smiled brightly as he talked about his mother the love over flowed in his eyes for the woman.

"Yes really." Kalya said as she smiled at Ryoga, as it was the first true smile she had seen on him since this war started.

"Thanks Kalya, I am getting a bit tired and we got another wedding tomorrow." Ryoga stretched then headed to his room he stopped and paused then bent down and kissed Kalya's cheek.

"Goodnight, little sister!" He was gone quickly Kalya's hand on the cheek he had just kissed then the last part of the sentence finally sunk in to her mind.

"HEY WHO YOU CALLING LITTLE!?" Kalya spoke loudly but tried not to yell the only response she got was a raspberry followed by a laugh.

The feast had been going on ever since Nodoka and Ric's wedding. Since theirs was the last. Ryoga was on pins and needles he had finally gotten a hold of his mother and his father was there. She would lead him to the compound and left a note for his sisters and brother. He was worried, as it seemed to be taking longer than it should. He was constantly pulled in to dance with an Amazon Warrior but his mind was on his parents. He was continually dragged off to dance Kalya stayed by the door to wait for his family. She smiled as Ryoga started to have a good time and enjoy his 'captivity'.

"You waiting for Ryoga's parents?" Kalya looked up from the chair she had placed by the door to see Meran and Sage.

"Yeah he finally relaxed and is having a good time. How are you two? I didn't want to pry but what was your rulers' response?" Kalya felt the depression as it flowed from the both of them.

"You do realize that this is your home. After the war, I will probably be here with just Mom and Ric. I think some of the Amazons will stay. I don't know about any elders but you never know. If you two truly love, each other and I know you do. You don't have to go back to Jusendo valley you can stay here. All of you can." Kalya said, as she knew the generals were listening and she was letting them all know this was their home too.

"I fear if we go home we will be forced with someone just to breed stronger more powerful Phoenix and Musk." Meran said as if she knew it would happen.

"Already started hun?" Kalya asked her, she nodded her head, as did Sage.

"Well it is your choice, stay here, live a life of love and happiness though a bit chaotic or go home, and be a stud bull and a brood mare." Kalya turned at the loud clanging at the gate of the compound.

"Our additional guests have arrived and it looks like they brought more than just Ryoga's brother and sisters.

"They can't all stay here Kalya all the empty rooms are for soldiers." Sage said as he looked at about twenty people.

"They don't have to we own the apartment building we were at." They all turned to see Snow Pea behind them as she looked at the group of people coming into the compound.

"I guess they all showed up at Ryoga's house though I am not sure why they don't like his mom." Kalya said as she, Snow Pea, Sage, and Meran went to great them.

"I would think they would go to the Hibiki compound and protect their families." Meran said as they neared them.

"No they are our disgrace. They are cowards. They will hide out until the battles are finished. They allow others to do the fighting then dare anyone to stop them from taking credit." They turned as Ryoga stood behind them he then pushed through his friends and met his family head on.

"Mom they are not welcomed here! If they stay they fight if they don't fight the Earth dies!" Ryoga snarled as the twenty men and women behind his family roared in rage.

"DON'T YOU CALL US COWARDS YOU BAS...URK!" The biggest of the twenty unwanted guests was suddenly cut off as the five foot seven garnet haired girl had her delicate hand closing tightly around his throat.

"LET *CHOKE* GO YOU ST...*GASP*!" He stopped as she began to glow pitch black but what really frightened him was the two women who looked like cats.

"Since the Goddess Isis' children asked you twenty to leave we will help you do so, Kalya, my dear where do you want them." Bastet purred to her student.

"There is a compound of the Hibiki clan send them there! Then warn them of the war and that these cowards tried to avoid helping to save their families." Ryoga spoke for Kalya as she was currently occupied.

"Where is the compound?" Sekhmet asked as she licked her lips like a hungry lioness.

"Ryoga transfer the memories to the goddesses. Is Aker coming?" Kalya still squeezing the biggest bully with one hand turned and stared at the goddess as if the bully was nothing to worry about as she talked.

"LET ME *CHOKE* GO!" He shouted as his eyes began to go cross.

"OOPS! Not so sorry!" Kalya snarled and threw him into his family.

"Please they are our family." The older woman Kalya assumed was his mother turned to look at her worried face.

"I do this for their own safety Hibiki-san you should not have brought them they were not invited. Ryoga is the _chosen General_ of the goddess Isis. There is a war coming and as her general, he is her son. If they continue as they have started Isis will do much worst." Kalya told the woman with a warm smile.

"She is right mom. You knew we were having trouble with them why did you bring them I told you only dad and my brother and sisters and no one else." Ryoga told her, as she looked ashamed.

"They seemed so frightened I felt sorry for them!" Ryoga's mother told him.

"They lied to you just like they have always done mom I am now empathic and I feel their disgust at you and your children.

"Don't worry Hibiki-san Bastet and Sekhmet should not harm them though I would recommend they watch their mouths when talking about you and your family and Ryoga. Oh, that includes us as well." Kalya said as she glared at the splayed man on the ground.

"Now Kalya dear if you let Lady Sekhmet and Lady Bastet take them away we won't have anyone to punish at the trial." Snow Pea came forward and snarled down at the man still on the ground.

"I know Mother Snow Pea but it is Ryoga's family. I think Bastet and Sekhmet will make sure the rest of the Hibiki clan knows about them. They will also show them the errors of their ways in the treatment of Ryoga and his family." Kalya said as a fat orange tabby poke his head around Snow Pea's leg to look at the man on the ground.

"I HATE CATS GET THAT FILTHY FLEA RIDDEN BEAST AWAY FROM ME!" He tried to kick the cat, which was a big mistake and those present finally learned the gift Bastet had given Mr. Tabbs.

"GGGGGGGGGRRRRRROOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLLLL!" The orange tabby suddenly became a large saber-tooth tiger with orange fur with black and white stripes.

"So that was why Bastet sent him back to you!?" Kalya nodded without turning around as the rest of the guest came a running at the roar.

"Well he shouldn't have tried to kick him. He was ok with his hating cats not everyone has good taste." Ryoga said as their gift from Sekhmet let him know why Tabbs was angry.

"We will take them now Kalya. Aker wanted to come but he was summoned to Isis' temple for some planning for the gods and goddess to protect the pantheon and fight against Seth as well." Bastet said as she hugged Kalya.

"*SNORT* No need for that kind of thing!" Sekhmet said as Kalya hugged her tightly as well and she reluctantly put her arms around her and hugged her quickly back.

"They are family what will happen to them." Ryoga's mother asked worry on her face.

"We will transport them to the location Ryoga gave us then we will warn the rest of your family to prepare and to watch out for their treachery." Sekhmet said as she petted Mr. Tabbs large form.

"Tabbs you are not chewing the bones enough you are getting plaque on your teeth." Sekhmet scolded the tiger then laughed as the twenty going with her paled.

"Come on Bastet I want to get to that meeting." Sekhmet said as Bastet just smiled and shrugged her delicate shoulder.

"You took your crabby pill today didn't you!" The remaining group heard as the cat goddesses and the unwanted Hibiki family members disappeared.

"Now Hibiki-san the apartments in the compound are designated for the warriors coming to fight Seth. The Amazon elders have decided to buy out that apartment building for the families of the warriors. Now you are the first so you get first pick. There are one bedroom, two bedrooms and though not many about half a dozen three bedroom. That would probably be the best for you and your family. You should also know that the compound and the apartment building is protected magically so you will be safe." Snow Pea said as she, led them to the apartment building they had just vacated Ryoga following to keep any of them from getting lost.

"Should we not have let them stay anyway dear?" Nodoka asked as she looked at where Bastet, Sekhmet, and the twenty bullies were before disappearing.

"No mom did you allow your empathic sense to read them?" Kalya asked her mother.

"Yes I did. I guess keeping them here would be like Shampoo and Mousse." Nodoka scowled as that lavender haired girl was not really wanted but they were willing to let Isis make her understand.

"If they had stayed it would not have been more then a day that Isis would have cursed them and it would have been permanent. Unlike the Elders they had no history." Kalya told her mother as she nodded she understood.

The party lasted a full week though Kalya and the Generals disappeared regularly. They went to a private training site where they went over scrolls and tomes she had copied from Isis' library. She also gave them copies of the tomes of the originals. There was extra information from Isis book on elves in each. They studied the scrolls and tomes and practiced until well into the night. They then returned home. The party was still going on no one missed them but Ryoga's mom. She always greeted them with a picnic basket of food that they would eat outside with her.

"So how did it go are you hurt?" Ryoga's mom asked as she inspected him the other generals giggled until she began to inspect them for injuries as well.

"It was just training Hibiki-san." Kalya told her as Ryoga's mother shook her finger at Kalya.

"Now I told you all to call me Auntie Sara!" The woman said as she winked at Nodoka and Ric as they just called her Sara since they were about the same age.

"Yes Auntie Sara!" The whole group said to her.

Sara was almost forty-five in age. She had dark crystal green eyes. Her hair was long but worn in a braid and was bright red. They had learned she had a temper but she kept in check for the most part. She claimed it was because she was Irish. She stood at five feet ten inches and had an athletic body that looked strong and though not a fighter had a warrior's grace. Her face was oval and her eyes were almond in shape. They framed a short perky nose that ended over a pair of full lips. She still had a slight Irish brogue. It only took her a day or two to start wearing the Mandarin Pantsuits as she tried to learn to fight.

"So how was training today?" The Isis Warriors were asked by Cologne as they entered the main room.

"Well it is a bit disconcerting when you're trying to read and see the ley lines all the time but not bad. We are now seeing the nexuses constantly as well. One of the things we started to do is try to manipulate them. Though Thyme was correct the gift from Kalya alone is not enough." Ric said as he and the others sat at the table nearest the maps.

"So what have you figured out?" Snow Pea asked as she took out her notebook to make notes.

"Well my dear it seems that when using the gift alone we as Ric said cannot do anything to them. If we add our ki, we make minor changes and move the ki along the ley lines to affect somewhere else. Not very far right now mind you but with practice that will change." Shen pulled out his notebook, as did the others so they could give Snow Pea their prospective as well.

"My that is fascinating!" Thyme, Saamin, and the O'Leary brothers were behind them and joined them at the table.

"How is your training going in your Druid magic?" Kalya asked Ebon as he sat next to Ryoga and was reading over his shoulder a bit.

"Very well Snow Pea is a good teacher even if she isn't a Druid she understands the inherent similarities that I don't." Ebon told her as he smiled at Snow Pea.

"Yes, yes what else and Ebon sweet talk will not lesson your training intensities or Sean's." Snow Pea told the brothers as their shoulders slumped amidst the laughter of the Isis Warriors.

"Well to continue once we get proficient with the ki we moved to just the Isis powers. They were much stronger since they link us to earth's nature. We actually barely touched one of the altered ley lines Seth had changed." Shen stopped as Snow Pea and the others nearly fell from their seats.

"Could you undo what he did?" Sapphire asked as she sat down.

"No we barely reached it. We then added our ki and we moved closer but we could not go through the blockage. So what Seth is doing we think is he is putting up blocks to the nexuses he claimed as his." Nodoka read from her journal as Snow Pea wrote feverishly as did Thyme and Saamin.

"With the ki were you able to have any affect?" Mascara asked as she read over Snow Pea's arm as she wrote.

"Some we at least got Seth's attention." Sage said with an evil grin.

"However, when we used the chaos given us by the nexus at Furinkan we not only could go through the blockage we were able to alter it. We have however, used not only the gift of course but also all our different powers. The gift from the nexus could not be used by itself, as it is chaotic and so is Seth. However, mixed with our Isis powers, our martial arts, and the original elf's gift we can cause some serious damage to Seth's horde. We just need to practice sending our attempts out farther." Dolphin told the elders as she read from her book.

"What about you using your powers together?" Cologne asked as she smiled at how the young had grown wiser and how Shen seemed to be younger as he worked with them.

"We tried that and the strength increased about five fold though here again we feel with practice we might be able to go farther. We however plan to use the maps and the locations where Seth created the blockages and unblock the ley lines then go after his links to the nexuses. We also feel he might increase his timetable to stop us." Meran told the group as the elders nodded they agreed.

"That is very good the fact your magic can work together makes you stronger and with that strength we can bring down Seth." Snow Pea said as she finished taking the notes they would need in the library.

"That is one of the things we have been training on. We can link just about everything but our ki though we have been able to link our chi. We have also been working on using our ki to create a link to all our emotions so we can use any emotion we need whether we feel it or not." Hayashi said as he pulled his wife closer to him.

"Very good we may have you work with the coming warriors and those here to teach them to use their chi together. You can train the ones here now and they can help with the training when the others arrive." Cologne said as she looked over Snow Pea's journal.

"We however do not want any of the tribes to learn your technique for linking your chi to your ki it could cause a civil war in the valley." Sapphire said as she noticed changes in her compatriots and wondered if it was affecting her as well.

"Alright mother we will only teach them to mix their chi attacks together. It is not very hard but it will take practice and skill. We had some pretty powerful mishaps when we first started doing it." Niitmin said as a chuckle escaped him and the other Isis Warriors at the shocked looks on the elders faces over the 'mother' comment.

"I think now would be a good time to start the training." Cologne said as she smiled at the warriors.

"=May I join the training=?" They all turned to see a bedraggled Shampoo behind them her eyes still lost in the horror of the things she had seen but she was trying to control her emotions.

"What have you learned Shampoo?" Sapphire spoke Japanese to signal so should Shampoo though most everyone did speak Mandarin.

"Shampoo learned warrior that 'best of generation' is not good enough to be Isis Warrior and arr...arrog...stubborn pride invalidate right to be general." Shampoo told the group as her eyes fell on Kalya and Mousse as they could still see the longing there but it was how she acted on it that mattered.

"Shampoo also want say sorry to Mousse for years of torture Shampoo gave him. Shampoo also want to say sorry to Kalya for trying to take place and for her being with panda-man!" Shampoo bowed though not deeply her Amazon pride had its limits.

"Very good Shampoo, just remember this is your last chance try anything and Isis will make your curse permanent!" Sapphire said as she nodded her understanding.

"Shampoo also want to wish luck to new married couples." She turned to them and again bowed at Mousse, Pewter, Ric, Nodoka, Dolphin, and Hayashi.

"Thank you Shampoo that is very sweet of you." Nodoka said as she was still suspicious but if she was released from, Isis' grip Isis was satisfied she had accomplished what she needed.

The next few days were following a specific schedule. In the morning, the Isis Warriors would go for their private training, trying to undo what Seth did to the ley lines, and to relinquish his hold on the nexuses he was connected. When they returned to the compound they would train the other warriors that were with them. Then the Isis Warriors took training from some of the Amazon Warriors such as Minuet in shiatsu points. Kalya wanted to learn the esoteric healing art as she thought she might like to be a doctor if not a doctor she could at least help heal those she had to fight. Their training was cut short by a group of visitors and the additional elder Rouge.

Kalya and her generals moved to the new group of warriors to welcome them to Japan. The four elders followed them. Cologne was followed closely by Shampoo her face a deep scowl as her cousin stood to the left of Rouge. As they reached them and stopped, Kalya's face went blank the elders watched as the emotions flew across her face. They then noticed the generals though it was not, as intense also went through the same emotions. Then the Isis Warriors burst into their Isis colors.

The training warriors watched as they took flight and headed to the local high school. The Japanese based elders and warriors pushed through the new comers and followed the Isis warriors toward the school. Rouge watched as everyone disappeared she shrugged her shoulders and took off after the others. They arrived just in time to join the battle against the minions of Seth.
