"This Is Going To Hurt."
The episode opens to Chris sitting, sprawled out across a lawn chair, with his feet on an interns back. He has his favorite shades on and is sipping out of straw that lies inside of his coconut cup. It's apparent that he hasn't shaved in several days and based on the way that he looks, it's been a vodka in the orange juice kind of morning.
Chris: "Last time on: Total Drama Island….Insanity!"
The screen is overtaken by a white flash and the recap from previous weeks begins with Jonathon and Nathalie bonding as they sit on a melting block of ice in the middle of the ocean.
Chris: "Sam has thus far shown herself to be a strong competitor, proving to be a strong social and physical player!"
Sam's contributions to various challenges as well as her bonding with Krystal, Josh, and several other competitors is shown.
Chris: "However not everyone has been fooled by her southern charm."
Multiple clips of Eric denying Sam's advances are shown following her break down from the previous episode.
Chris: "Meanwhile on the Killer Bass, Steven has made it his mission to keep both Sarah and Nourhan on the outs."
The screen flashes and transitions to Nourhan, who is seen sitting in the pouring rain alone after Noah's elimination while Sarah is seen saying goodbye to both Wyatt and Brooke, both of which were her closest allies.
Chris: "But Steven hasn't been the only one manipulating his team mates to get what he wants…"
Vittoria's confessional in which she is seen admitting she speaks English is shown followed by her devious plan that ousted Noah from the game several weeks prior.
Chris: "Tonight, heart break strikes Camp Wawanakwa as the sixteen remaining competitors fight it out to win the grand prize! Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out, tonight on…Total…Drama…Island…Insanity!"
By the Campfire Pit.
As the recap fades out, the opening scene of the episode is revealed. The moon is high in the sky , light illuminating from it , shining on down on the Screaming Gophers cabin. Alex, Josh, Doug, and Krystal are all making their way our of the cafeteria after their routinely meal, holding their stomachs signaling that their appetite has left them. The environment is very calming and blissful…Until Sam bursts through the cabin's door in tears, running down to the lake as she sobs in hysterics. The four friends all look at each other in shock, unsure of what to think of this seemingly random outburst.
Alex: "What was that about?"
Doug shrugs.
Doug: "Who cares? Am I right or am I right?"
Doug laughs moronically as Alex and Krystal exchange looks of irritation.
Alex: "Is there an option C?"
Krystal: "Someone should go see if she's alright."
Alex: "You're closer to her than I am, I think you should go."
Krystal nods in agreement before running after her friend.
The Docks.
With a flash of the screen, a new scene is revealed in which Sam is sitting on the edge of the dock with her feet in the water and her face in her palms. She is still crying when Krystal approaches, taking a seat next to the southerner.
Krystal: "Hey, what's going on?"
Sam: "It's Eric…"
Sam wipes at her face furiously, attempting to clear her throat in hopes of being more decipherable.
Krystal: "What happened?"
Krystal says this in an extremely sympathetic voice while wrapping her arms around Sam and rubbing her back.
Sam: "I feel like I got played!"
Sam continues to cry into Krystal's shoulder as the Killer Bass are shown to be returning from their most recent campfire ceremony. Krystal pulls away and begins to give Sam words of encouragement.
Krystal: "Look, I don't know what's going on between you two, but you don't need him!"
Sam wipes the tears resting on her cheeks and takes a deep breath.
Sam: "It just all hurts so bad!"
Sam buries her face in Krystal's chest and tells her what happened, Krystal comforting her in the process. As this is going on, the camera refocuses on Vittoria, who has come to a halt in the background and is listening in on their conversation.
Krystal: "I'm sure it's nothing, you're probably just over thinking it!"
Vittoria smirks when she hears this.
Vittoria: "You think this is painful…just you wait. Because this, this is going to hurt!"
Total Drama Island: Insanity Intro.
As the Opening theme begins to play cameras begin to pop out of strange places, including an underground burrow and a tree. As the last camera comes out , a clapperboard is held in front of the camera and is slammed shut.
"Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine…."
The camera goes past the dock of shame revealing the Camp Wawanakwa sign. As the scenery continues to be shown , the camera rushes past Chris than continues up the ever so familiar mountain before going over the cliff and through the ring , venturing into the treacherous waters!
"….You guys are on my mind!"
Hector is shown happily swimming in the water before being frightened after seeing a shark and rushing towards the surface.
"You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is plain to see…."
As Hector emerges from the surface, Wyatt and a crying Sarah are seen floating past him on an old , gray plank. From behind his back Wyatt pulls out Sarah's teddy bear and holds it towards her, much to her delight. However just as he does so a hawk sweeps down and snatches it, sending Sarah back into hysterics.
"I wanna be famous!"
The hawk flies above Steven, who is in the forest surrounded by pumpkins. As snakes begin to make there way out of the pumpkins Steven screams like the little girl he is deep down, and begins to run. As the camera zooms out Nathalie is seen holding a snake and smiling as Jonathon puts his hands on his hips and raises his left brow at her before the suns vibrant light overcomes this view.
"I wanna live close to the sun."
As the sunlight retracts and a new scene is revealed, Josh and Doug are seen bickering at each other on a raft before going over a waterfall.
"Well pack your bags cuz I've already won."
Matt is seen standing on a long and narrow log, with one hand in the air and one hand on his heart, reciting what looks to be a play in a rather over dramatic light.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way."
Kelly swings by on a vine, grabbing Matt by the collar of his shirt and taking him along for the ride. As they rush past parts of the camp she drops Matt into the outhouse which falls over because of this. Courtney tumbles out of the outhouse and walks around slightly dazed before falling over, hitting the ground rather hard.
"I'll get there one day."
The camera pans through the cafeteria window, showing Chef making some kind of disgusting grub before going over to Sam and Eric who are looking at each other dreamily before a spoonful of Chef's food is shoved between them. Looks of disgust are shared between the two before Nourhan and Noah are seen laughing together at a nearby table.
"I wanna be famous!"
As the scene changes to the outdoors, both Kimi and Vittoria are seen admiring Alex who is in the water looking at himself in a small hand mirror.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na…"
As Alex smiles at himself in the mirror it shatters into a dozen pieces, much to his dismay.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!"
The camera pans over to the Dock of Shame where the hawk drops Sarah's teddy bear into Krystal's arm. Krystal grins manically at this before pulling a lighter out of her pocket and setting the small girl's bear on fire. As laughter continues to erupt from her mouth, she throws the doll up into the air.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!"
As the burning stuffed animal falls from the sky, the daylight shifts to night. The bear falls down in between Haley and Henry, who are about to kiss when Brooke, who's hair is now on fire, pops up between them. As the camera begins to zoom out, the twenty-two campers are revealed to be sitting at the Bonfire Ceremony. All of them are whistling with the exception of Brooke who is screaming, Krystal who is laughing, and Sarah who is crying hysterically.
Total Drama Island: Insanity!
The Docks.
The Screen fades in from black to reveal that daylight has now emerged, and Sarah is the first up; Standing by the docks like she used to do every morning with Wyatt. She takes a long pause before continuing on with her day, heading to the communal bathrooms.
Confessional Booth: Sarah.
Sarah: "Honestly, I'm having a really difficult time with things right now. I've always had Wyatt to lean on in this game and now he's gone….I don't know how to move forward with the game at this point because the last two eliminations have both been close allies of mine. I need to come up with a new game plan and I need to do it fast, otherwise this is the end of line for me."
The Beach.
When Sarah's confessional fuzzes out, the remaining campers are shown to have gathered in front of Chris. All of them are engaging in small talk, much of which including speculation of what today's challenge may be, when Chris begins to take massive gulps from his coconut cup. He takes it away from his lips and lets out a small chuckle that is followed by a breath of fresh air.
Chris: "That's the stuff!"
The teen's talking comes to a silence as they all give a drunk Chris looks of dismay.
Jonathon: "It's always good to be reminded we're under the leadership of a smart, responsible adult…."
Chris looks at Jonathon angrily before grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, and pulling him forward.
Chris: "Do you have any idea what it's like to be an up and coming celebrity, only to have you're dreams be crushed by some stupid law suite because some crazy teenager decided to go and get her arm cut off!? Huh, punk!? Do you!?"
Jonathon raises his brow at Chris.
Jonathon: "Do you think you could yell in a direction that my face is not facing? Your breath wrecks of booze…"
Chris: "Why you lit_"
Chris looks as if he's about to punch Jonathon in the face when Chef intervenes by separating the two, dragging Chris away from all things living and breathing.
Chef: "Why don't you lie down for a bit, before you do something that the lawyer advised you not to…"
Chris takes a deep breath, gathers his composure, and nods in agreement.
Chris: "Yea , I think that's probably a good idea. Good night Chefy!"
Chris plants one on the side of Chef's face before continuing off towards the production crew's camp site. There's a brief silence as all the confused contenders attempt to understand what they'd just witnessed. This silence is finally broken by the clearing of Chef's throat.
Chef:"For today's challenge, both teams will participate in a classic camp activity…A canoe race!"
All of the teens begin to clap excitedly and converse with each other until Chef signals for their chatter to die down.
Chef: "Everybody will partner up with one of their team mates, hop in a canoe, and row all the way to Boney Island!"
Alex: "Wait…where?"
Chef gestures towards the heavy fog which blocks any possible view that may be able to be seen from where the campers are standing.
Alex: "Oh….that doesn't sound fun…"
Nourhan turns to Nathalie and begins to speak.
Nourhan: "Should we be concerned?"
Chef steps in between the two, startling both of the girls.
Chef: "You should be very concerned."
Nathalie looks at him in disgust as if he's done something wrong before he makes his way back to the front of the beach.
Chef: "Once you reach boney island you must carry your canoes through the treacherous forests that cover the island! Once you reach you reach the other side of the beach , you must start a fire that will be big enough to burn all the way back to shore! The first team back to this beach with a lit fire will win immunity and be spared a visit to the dreaded campfire ceremony."
Josh: "Is there a reason we're constantly put in these life threatening situations?"
Chef simply shrugs at this.
Chef: "I dunno, ratings? That reminds me, don't take anything off the island or you'll be cursed forever, blah blah blah, you'll die a horrible death, so on and so forth! Got it!?"
All the campers look at Chef in horror.
Josh: "Even better…"
Chef: "I'm glad you think so, now everyone partner up and get in your canoes!"
Confessional Booth: Josh.
Josh: " If I'm being completely honest, I thought coming out here I'd have a lot of trouble making friends, and at first I did; But now that I've made plenty and it's given me a new found confidence to conquer things! So bring it on Chef!"
The Beach.
When the confessional fades out, several of the teens are already seen to have found partners. Steven and Jonathon are in a canoe, and Haley and Henry are together. Josh is walking towards a canoe when he is beckoned over by and excited Alex.
Alex: "You , Krystal , and I should all go together, it'd be fun!"
Josh smiles and shakes his head.
Josh: "Sorry, I already told Doug I'd partner up with him!"
Without another word Josh runs over to get into a canoe with Doug, much to Alex and Krystal's annoyance.
Krystal: "What was that all about?"
Alex looks over at the two angrily before sticking his nose up in the air and walking away smugly.
Confessional Booth: Alex.
Alex: "I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm threatened by Doug because…well….get real, this is Doug we're talking about; But I have to admit that ever since Josh and Doug became friends, he's been talking to him a whole lot more and us a whole let less! That worries me!"
Confessional Booth: Doug.
Doug: "Oh I know exactly what Alex and Krystal are thinking right now! They may act like they're happy that we're all "friends" now, but that's defiantly not the case. In all reality they're trembling in their boots that their precious little ally may be stolen by me! For what it's worth, after all the things they've said and done to me, they should be worried! I'm going to steal josh right out from under them, and by the time they realize he's not with their little group anymore, they'll both be on their way to the dock of shame!"
The Beach.
Alex walks over to Hector , looking rather optimistic.
Alex: "That's fine, we don't even need Josh to have fun! Right Hector?"
Alex throws his arm around Hector and smiles hopefully.
Hector: "Uhm…Sure?"
Krystal smiles.
Krystal: "Great! Then, it's settled! Us three are together!"
Hector's face lights up when he hears this.
Hector: "Really!? You guys wanna partner with me?!"
Krystal: "Of course! As long as you pull your hair in front of your face and let us call you Josh all day."
Alex and Krystal give Hector a stern look, showing that they're serious.
Confessional Booth: Hector.
Hector: "Okay so I know I shouldn't be agreeing to this, but I'm in no position to turn down any kind of friendship right now….Wyatt and Brooke both left back to back and now I have no one…"
Hector rests his face on his palms and lets out a heavy sigh after he says this.
The Beach.
Hector pulls his hair in front of his face , grabs Krystal's glasses, and puts them over his hair.
Hector: "….."
Both Alex and Krystal stare at him for a second before erupting in cheers.
Alex: "Amazing!"
Krystal: "You sound just like him!"
Confessional Booth: Alex.
Alex: "Having Hector replace Josh has nothing to do with friendship, it's all about the game for me! Right now I need as many people on my side as possible, because I can sense that things between Doug and I are about to get ugly…."
The Beach.
Sam waves her hand in the air and calls over Eric.
Sam: "Hey , Eric! Wanna be partners?"
Eric: "Were the cowboys and Indians partners?"
Sam's expression changes to one of worry when he says this.
Sam: "Uhm…"
Eric begins laughing.
Eric: "Only kidding, lets go!"
Sam lets out an over exaggerated laugh which gets Vittoria's attention.
Confessional Booth: Sam.
Sam puts her hand to her chest and laughs.
Sam: "It is such a relief that Eric agreed to be my partner, maybe I really was just over reacting all along…"
The Beach.
Vittoria rushes over to Kimmi.
Vittoria: "We have to partner up!"
Kimmi: "Why?"
Vittoria: "Because…I have a plan."
The camera zooms in on Vittoria's face as she smirks.
Confessional Booth: Vittoria.
Vittoria: "We've lost so many challenges at this point, that I know something has to change! My gears have been moving for days, and as soon as I saw Sam crying last night….I knew there was an opening! Sam and Eric have been leading their team in challenges for weeks now. What better way to weaken the gophers than attacking their main challenge assets?"
Vittoria smiles, visibly pleased with herself, before flipping her hair.
Vittoria: "Looks like Steven isn't the only one capable of putting together a genius plan of sabotage!"
The Beach.
Sarah is timidly approaching Nourhan when she is called over by Nathalie. Sarah begins looking around frantically, only to notice she is the only one without a partner.
Chef: "Well Sarah, tough luck…Looks like in a surprise twist you've been eliminated from the game!"
Sarah: "What!?"
Chef bursts out in laughter.
Chef: "Oh, you're so gullible!"
Sarah looks at him in annoyance, clenches her fists, and stomps her right foot onto the ground.
Sarah: "That's not funny!"
Chef holds up his thumb and index finger, slightly spaced apart.
Chef: "It's a little funny….No but seriously, get out of here! I'm sick of listening to your whiny voice."
Chef shoves a paddle so hard into Sarah's chest that she falls over.
Confessional Booth: Sarah.
Sarah: "I can't believe everyone found a partner but me….Even Nourhan found a partner…"
Sarah gulps loudly.
Sarah: "It's not looking too good for me is we lose…"
The Beach.
Everyone is in their canoes and the partners are as follows: Alex, Krystal, and Hector, Sam and Eric, Henry and Haley, Josh and Doug, Vittoria and Kimmi, Nourhan and Nathalie, and Steven and Jonathon. Sarah is the only one by herself. Chef is standing on the sand, holding a white flag up in the air.
Chef: "The challenge begins on the sound of my whistle…"
Chef puts a rusty whistle into his mouth and stands there in silence for a few seconds before….
Chef: "GO!"
As the sound of whistle fills their ears, both teams begin making their way to the cursed island.
The Wawanakwan Waters.
Everyone is rowing across the waters, led by both Sam and Eric. They are conversing in a lot of small talk, and laughing the whole way. Vittoria see's this and looks at them angrily.
Vittoria: "We can't let them rekindle! We have to strike!"
Kimmi: "Remind me again why we're trying to ruin whatever they have going on?"
Vittoria rolls her eyes in annoyance.
Vittoria: "Because simple minded, less relevant, less smart, less hot version of me.."
Kimmi looks at Vittoria angrily when she says this.
Vittoria: "…We need to weaken their team! Remember what we discussed?"
Kimmi: "Yea, although I'm apparently stupid, I do remember."
Kimmi says this spitefully, yet Vittoria ignores it anyways as the two pull up next to Sam and Eric. Sam waves happily at them when she see's them.
Sam: "Well howdy fellow competitors, how goes it?"
Kimmi "accidentally" splashes water all over Vittoria, who lets out a small squeal.
Kimmi: "Oh no! You've gotten water all over you're clothes! Good thing you brought your bathing suit."
Kimmi says this in an over obvious fake tone before giving a very noticeable wink at Vittoria who once again rolls her eyes. She than rips off her clothes to reveal her brown bikini underneath. Eric's jaw drops in shock as drool begins to ooze out of his mouth and Vittoria winks at him.
Vittoria: "Ci vediamo dall'altra parte …"
Vittoria says this incredibly seductively before rowing ahead of them. Sam gasps when she hears this.
Sam: "Wait…WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!? YOU COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW AND TELL ME WHAT THAT MEANS!"
Confessional Booth: Sam.
Sam: "THAT ITALIAN IS SUCH A LITTLE BI-"
The confessional fuzzes out before she can finish her sentence.
The Wawanakwan Waters.
Alex, Krystal, and Hector are all slowly going down to the ocean. All three of them look incredibly bored, until Krystal enters a sense of panic when she see's that they are pulling up behind Josh and Doug.
Krystal: "Quick! Let's make other Josh jealous by acting like we're having tons of fun!"
All three of them say nothing for a second before bursting out into loud, obnoxious laughter over nothing. Doug looks over at them and than playfully punches Josh in the arm.
Doug: "Oh Josh, you're so funny!"
Doug joins in on the obnoxious laughter, confusing Josh.
Josh: "I didn't say anything…"
After Josh says this, Doug laughs even louder.
Krystal: "LOUDER!"
The three begin laughing even louder , attempting to drown out Doug's shrieks of hilarity. This fails, however, because Doug is doing the same thing. Alex leans his body over and begins laughing so loud it actually sounds more like he's screaming. Doug mimics this. Everyone around them is looking at them in annoyance.
Steven: "SHUT UP!"
As Steven rows by, he hits Alex in the face with his paddle. Alex topples over, seemingly unconscious. For a second no one says anything, and than without warning, Doug and Josh begin to laugh.
Krystal: "….Well that plan failed."
Everyone continues on as the sun grows hotter, so do Haley and Henry.
Haley: "Ugh, I can hardly take this heat!"
Henry: "Yea.. But it's all worth it to spend a little time with you."
Henry smiles at her warmly which she returns and than leans in and kisses him. Henry immediately pulls away and looks around frantically.
Haley: "What's wrong?"
Henry: "Okay, we're good! I don't think anyone saw."
Haley looks at him, evidently confused.
Haley: "Why would it matter if they did?"
Henry: "Because, if anyone knew we were together, we'd be targeted!"
Haley: "I didn't even think of that…"
Henry takes Haley's hands in his own.
Henry: "That's why we have to be careful from here on out, okay?"
Haley smiles and nods in agreement before pulling her hands away.
Confessional Booth: Henry.
Henry: "Haley and I have a stronger bond than anyone out here, and that can take us really deep into the game! We have to be careful that no one catches on to our relationship though. If they did, it could be game over for both of us.
The Wawanakwan Waters.
Nourhan and Nathalie are giggling as they head towards Boney Island, both appear to be very happy.
Nourhan: "I'm so glad I finally made a friend out here, I was so worried I was screwed once Noah left!"
Nathalie: "Same!"
Nourhan laughs and rolls her eyes in a playful notion.
Nourhan: "Whatever! There's totally something up with you and Jonathon!"
Nathalie dismisses this with a wave of her hand.
Nathalie: "That's ridiculous! There's nothing between Jonathon and I."
Nourhan lets out a sigh of relief.
Nourhan: "That's good…I thought it might be awkward if we both liked the same guy."
Nathalie suddenly becomes very angry and stands up in her canoe.
Nathalie: "YOU STAY AWAY FROM HIM YOU VILE RATCHET!"
When Nathalie realizes what she just said she suddenly sits down, gasps, and covers her mouth.
Confessional Booth: Nathalie.
Nathalie: "Okay seriously, I do not like Jonathon! We are just friends!"
Nathalie begins laughing nervously and fanning herself with her hand as beads of sweat rest on her forehead.
Nathalie: "It's suddenly become really hot in here!"
Total Drama: Insanity Executive Producer: "Are you sure it's not just you thinking about Jonathon?"
Nathalie crosses her arms and looks in the camera lens angrily.
Boney Island.
Both teams reach the beach of Boney Island at relatively the same time. As everyone is getting out of their canoes, both teams regroup. The only person still rowing is Sarah, who looks far behind.
Henry: "Everyone ready?"
The Screaming Gophers hoist the canoes over their head and begin to cheer as they run off into the deadly forest…
Steven: "Sarah! Hurry up! We're getting behind!"
Vittoria rolls her eyes.
Kimmi: "I'm so sick of losing…"
Sarah rows frantically and after a few minutes she finally reaches the beach, but her team mates are not happy with her.
Steven: "What's wrong with you!?"
Sarah is out of breath and is breathing heavily.
Sarah: "I'm sorry, it's a lot of work to do alone!"
Steven grunts angrily as everyone holds up their canoes.
Steven: "We have to go, we're already behind!"
Boney Island: The Forest.
The Gophers are sprinting through the forest quickly, and there is little talk amongst them…With the exception of Sam and Eric.
Sam: "What was up with that little exchange you had with Vittoria earlier!?"
Eric shrugs.
Eric: "I don't know, she was in her bikini."
Sam: "And!?"
Eric: "And she's pretty hot…You think she digs me?"
Sam gasps loudly and everyone comes to a stop.
Krystal: "Oooooo, home dog did not just say that…"
Henry: "Not cool dude."
Eric: "What….?"
Confessional Booth: Eric.
Eric: "I honestly don't know what's gotten into everyone lately…They've all been acting really weird…."
Eric shrugs.
Eric: "They're probably just jealous of all the attention I've been getting from Vittoria!"
Eric smiles arrogantly.
Boney Island: The Forest.
When the confessional fades out, Sam is seen tearfully running through the woods as Krystal calls after her. Sam finally comes to a halt and buries her face in her hands.
Krystal: "Sam!"
Krystal wraps her arms around her.
Krystal: "It's okay, I'm here."
Sam: "I just don't understand why he's acting like such an idiot! Texans are supposed to be smart!"
Sam continues to cry in Krystal's shoulder for a while as she cautiously looks around before pulling away and speaks in a hushed tone.
Krystal: "Listen to me, Eric is an idiot who is too arrogant to see what's right in front of him. We can get rid of him tonight if that's what you want!"
Sam looks at her dumbfounded before wiping her tears away.
Sam: "Do we have the numbers to do that?"
Krystal nods.
Krystal: "Everyone's pissed at him for what he said to you back there. There's no way he won't go home if we lose!"
Sam nods humbly.
Sam: "I just don't know if I can vote him out…Even after the way he's acting right now."
Krystal shakes her head at this.
Krystal: "You have to see him for who he really is Sam! Right now you have to lift up your chin and suck it up, because we're not going to get anywhere if you keep crying like this! You're a fighter, so start acting like one!
Sam looks shocked at how straight forward Krystal is but begins to nod.
Sam: "Yea…You're right….Screw him!"
Krystal nods happily.
Krystal: "That's the spirit!"
Krystal wraps her arm around Sam as the two begin to walk back to their team mates.
Krystal: "Now lets get going, everyone is probably wondering where we are.
Confessional Booth: Sam.
Sam: "After my talk with Krystal , I feel more empowered than ever! I'm ready to take him down and make him pay for the way he's treated me. I'm going to hit him where it hurts!"
Sam slams her fist into her palm when she says this.
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
Krystal: "In the end, this game is all about building relationships. Even though we have the core three of Josh, Alex, and I, it doesn't hurt to have as many people on my side as possible and I defiantly think Sam will remember this in the long run."
Boney Island: The Forest.
The six remaining Bass are running through the forest, desperate to catch up, when without warning Jonathon falls waist deep into quick sand.
Jonathon: "Quicksand….How did quicksand even get here!?"
Confessional Booth: Chris.
Chris: "Let this be a lesson to everyone that you should never cross me….NEVER!"
Boney Islands: The Forest.
Jonathon begins to sink lower and lower as everyone watches hopelessly.
Nathalie: "Somebody, quick, do something!"
Kimmi: "Don't worry guys, I got this!"
Kimmi runs over and picks a flower out of the ground before returning and gently placing it on Jonathon's head.
Kimmi: "You will be missed."
Everyone looks at her angrily as she shrugs.
Kimmi: "At least now he'll go happy."
Jonathon: "Hardly…"
Nathalie rolls her eyes.
Nathalie: "Screw it!"
Nathalie begins to sing to the birds and they all come flying from every which direction. They slowly pull Jonathon out of the quicksand.
Nathalie: "You're safe!"
Nathalie throws her arms around an exhausted Jonathon who smiles up at her, much to Nourhan's satisfaction.
Confessional Booth: Nourhan.
Nourhan: "She totally likes him!"
Total Drama: Insanity Executive Producer: "Totally."
Nourhan gasps loudly and lunges backwards against the corner of the booth.
Nourhan: "Who said that!?"
Boney Island: The Beach.
After the confessional fuzzes out, The Screaming Gophers are revealed to be working on their fire on the beach. All their wood is gathered and they look like they'd been working for sometime when the Bass emerge from the forest.
Steven: "They're already almost done! We're going to lose!"
With the help of Alex, Henry props a large log over what looks to be coconut husk. Sam begins to vigorously rub a stick on the log. All the bass sigh and Kimmi and Steven plop down on the sand.
Kimmi: "Welp, we tried."
Sarah looks from the gophers, to the bass, in deep concern for her fate in the game. As the sun shines vibrantly in the sky, the camera zooms in on her face as it changes from an expression of worry to determination.
Confessional Booth: Sarah.
Sarah: "No! I can't lose here! I've worked too hard!"
Boney Island: The Beach.
Sarah suddenly rushes over, gathers some woods, and lays it down in front of the Bass. Sarah suddenly rips off her glasses and holds it up to the sun, projecting it's light down on the wood. The camera rushes back and forth to Sarah and Alex, Henry, and Sam. All four are working very hard. Sparks begin to fly from the Gophers sticks while smoke begins to rise from Sarah's pile. The Bass are now gathered around Sarah, watching anxiously. Sweat begins to pour from Sam's face as she rubs harder, she can see that the fire is about to start. Vittoria see's how much closer the other team is and begins to panic.
Vittoria: "Oh, Eric!"
Eric looks over when he hears her call. She is leaning against the tree beside her and begins to wave at him flirtatiously. Eric waves back awkwardly and begins to blush. Sam gasps when she notices what is going on and looks down angrily.
Confessional Booth: Sam.
Sam: "When I looked over and noticed Eric eyeing Vittoria…I became so furious! All I could think about in that moment was what Krystal told me, about how I'm a fighter and to just suck it up. And that's exactly what I did….I fought…..but not for my team, I fought to take Eric out of this game and hurt him the same way he hurt me!"
Boney Island: The Beach.
Without warning, Sam throws her stick up into the air and falls to the ground screaming, rolling around in the coconut husk.
Sam: "Hand cramp , hand cramp! Ooooo it burns!"
The Gophers immediately stop what they're doing and run to Sam's aid. When Vittoria see's this, she smiles victoriously and re joins her team, just in time to witness Sarah light her fire. All of the Killer Bass erupt in cheers and pat Sarah on the back.
Sarah: "I did it! I actually did it!"
Steven: "C'mon! Let's get going!"
The Bass all work together to get the burning husk into a coconut cup and begin to row back to shore. The Gophers all look incredibly disappointed as the Bass move on towards victory. It is not until the cheering bass have reached the beach, propped Sarah up on their shoulders and began chanting her name, that the Screaming Gophers finally light their fire and head back to Camp Wawanakwa.
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
Krystal: "Even though we lost the challenge today, I feel like all I've done is won."
Krystal begins to list off her accomplishments while holding up her fingers to count.
Krystal: "Sarah seems to have finally redeemed herself, Alex and I made a friend in New Josh, and the plan to oust Eric seems to be a done deal. To say the least, I'm pretty satisfied with how today's events unfolded."
The Cabins: The Screaming Gophers.
Everyone is out and about, preparing for the night's campfire ceremony, with the exception of Krystal and Alex who are discussing the vote.
Krystal: "So tonight everyone is voting Eric."
Alex's eyes widen as soon as Krystal says this.
Confessional Booth: Alex.
Alex: "When Krystal told me she wanted to vote Eric out tonight, I honestly wanted to shake her and scream. Like, that couldn't be a worst idea at this point in time."
The Cabins: The Screaming Gophers.
Alex shakes his head in disagreement.
Alex: "No , we can't do that! It has to be Doug."
Krystal looks at him in a confusing manner.
Krystal: "What, why? Doug is with us."
Alex: "No , Doug is with Josh, and the longer Doug is with Josh the closer they become and the closer they become the more our alliance suffers because of it!"
Krystal shakes her head.
Krystal: "It doesn't matter, we have a final three alliance with Josh, he won't go back on his word!"
Alex: "How do you know he won't? Because he didn't come up to you and tell you he's siding with Doug to vote you out? Wake up! If we don't get rid of Doug we're in for a world of hurt!"
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
Krystal: "I don't think Alex is seeing the bigger picture of things right now. He wants to take out Doug but I just don't think that this is the time to do so. Right now we have much bigger fish to fry. Voting out Eric tonight would unite us all as not only as a team, but give us a new ally in Sam. There's no better move to make right now."
The Cabins: The Screaming Gophers.
Krystal: "I'm telling you, now isn't the time to take out Doug! We need to vote Eric! If we vote Eric we'll gain a strong, trustworthy ally in Sam.
Alex: "And if we don't vote out Doug, we could lose one in Josh."
Krystal bites her bottom lip while she ponders this.
Confessional Booth: Alex.
Alex: "Right now I know where Krystal stands, and she knows where I stand. We have two different views on things and the campfire ceremony is literally five minutes away. The way that I see things going down tonight is somebody's going to have to cave, one of us is going to have to take a risk tonight, knowing it may not pay out in our favor….And I just really don't want that somebody to be me."
The Campfire Ceremony.
Day changes to night as a crackling fire is heard from the distance. The camera suddenly pans in on the Campfire Ceremony. A hung-over Chris is standing in front of the nine Gophers who are all anxiously anticipating the voting results.
Chris: "Let's get this thing over with…The campfire is hurting my eyes…"
Chris presses his sunglasses to his eyes as the other looks at him in disgust.
Chris: "Marshmallows go to…..Sam, Alex, Krystal, Josh, Haley, Henry, Hector and…"
Dramatic music begins to play as Chris presents the final marshmallow. Eric and Doug are both smiling confidently, sure that they are not the one's going home. Sam looks over at Eric smugly. Krystal and Alex exchange a quick glance before Alex looks away and shakes his head before burying his face in his hands, sure that the move he made tonight was a mistake.
Chris: "Doug!"
Eric's jaw drops as he gasps loudly in shock. Doug eats his marshmallow slowly and tauntingly , licking the goo from his fingers menacingly.
Eric: "Who voted me?"
Eric says this while standing up and beginning to gather his things. Everyone avoids eye contact with him as an awkward silence ensues. Eric raises his eyebrows at them.
Eric: "All of you…Sam?"
Sam looks up at him carelessly.
Sam: "I'm sorry did I play you for a fool? I guess that's just another thing we have in common…"
Eric looks dazed and confused as he walks away tearfully, unaware of what went wrong.
Chris: "Oh, how I love a good blindside….Lets hope that doesn't come back to bite anyone in the butt, goodnight campers!"
Alex stands up and whispers in Krystal's ear.
Alex: "You owe me one."
Krystal nods reassuringly.
Krystal: "I know, thank you."
Confessional Booth: Vittoria.
Vittoria: "It looks like Vicious Vic strikes again!"
Vittoria flips her hair cockily.
Vittoria: "You better make room Steven…
Confessional Booth: Doug/Vittoria.
The two are shown side by side as they say the exact same thing.
Doug/Vittoria: "There's a new villain in town, and I'm not playing for second…"
Vittoria and Doug give an evil grin the camera's way as the episode comes to an end and the screen fades to black.

Chris: "Next Time On Total Drama Island: Insanity…"
A flash overtakes the screen and Alex is shown sitting at the cabin porch, with his hood on. Rain is falling down hard and the sound of thunder can be heard in the background.
Chris: "A storm hits Camp Wawanakwa and a rivalry that's been brewing since the beginning of the game, comes to the surface.
Alex is shown in the confessional booth.
Alex: "A storm is coming, and you best bet you don't want to be on my bad side when it hits!"
The scene transitions to Alex and Doug on the beach.
Alex: "I think it's time you shut the f**k up!"
Doug: "And I think it's time you get the hell of my island!"
The final scene from the preview shows Alex in the confessional booth.
Doug: "I've been too quiet for too long and I'm ready to make a bang!"
A close up of Alex's face is seen and he is shown wiping tears from his face.
